Chapter 13

"What is that thing?!" Monic asked himself.

Before Monic could respond, the Dragoon of Chaos produced 8 tenticles from its body, each of them with a rather nasty tip at the end.

"Oh shit!" Monic saw an attack coming and dodged the tentacles, the attack had happened quickly enough that any normal person would've been dead before they even saw the creature move.

Monic charged up a beam attack and released, nailing the beast square between the eyes.

A giant hole developed where the beam hit, but the beast surprised Monic even more by regenerating the lost skin, sealing the wound shut.

"Aww!! C'mon!! Give me a break!!" Monic shouted in disapointment.

The creature lashed its tentacles out at Monic, piercing Monic's chest.

At first, Monic didn't feel anything, then a sharp pain developed in his chest as he felt the energy within him slipping away.

"Shit...that...thing........its draining....all....m-m.........my energy!!" Monic struggled to speak as blood began pouring out of his mouth from the pierced chest.

Monic watched helplessly as the creature got even larger, growing to a humongous size.

Monic watched as the creature continued to grow as he was feeding off any energy source he could find.

"Thats it!!" Monic proclaimed to himself.

Monic dashed towards the creature and told it to suck more energy out of him.

"C'mon! Suck it up!!!" Monic yelled as he felt the tentacles piercing him again.

Monic felt himself losing his form, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to stay super for long.

After another draining from the creature, Monic felt a tingling sensation in his body as he felt his figure split into two.

"Ahhh!!"

"Ahhh!!"

"What?!?!" Sonic looked and saw that he was still alive.

"What...what happened?!" Michael saw that he had been seperated from his combined form and that he and his dad were not in their super-forms.

The dragoon of Chaos roared as Michael and Sonic nhad to clear out; the sucking up of so much energy caused the creatures structural integrity to fail, and it was about to burst.

"RUN!!!!" Michael screamed for his dad to hurry up.

Suddenly, the sopund of an explosion loud enough to make the atomic bomb look like cheap plastic erupted.

Columns of smoke rose far out into space and a crater the size of the Grand Canyon five times put together formed.

The air was still and the atmosphere dark and cloudy as Michael and Sonic fell from the sky and landed on the ground.

They landed with a thump and neither of them woke up for a while, not even aware that they had defeated the dragoon of Chaos.
