"Invasion" ended with Michael's wounds dissaperring! What can it mean? Whaty is next for Michael and the others? Part II of "Invasion" details it all, including the battle to save the entire world against Bill and the Chaos Emeralds.

Part II

"Michael! Your wounds! T...T...they vanished!" Tikal shouted in disbelief.

"What's...happened to me?" Michael was just as confused as Tikal was on the entire incident, Kyle was of no help cause he was unconcious from seeing Michael's wounds dissapear.

"I don't know...I have never seen anything like this happen before..." Tikal was feeling her chest, trying to feel her heart beating.

"Bill!" Michael suddenly remembered that Bill was still alive, and that he knew Bill better then any of the others. "If I know him...he'll be after the Chaos Emeralds!" Michael said, running towards Angel Island.

"Where are you going?!" Tikal yelled.

"I feel like I'm gonna need some help with this one!" Michael shouted as loud as he could, still unheard by Tikal.

"Just be safe..." Tikal said, attempting to revive the motionless Kyle.

<Meanwhile, at Angel Island>

Michael had realised his destiny the moment he had defeated Mecha Monic back when he was young, he knew that his destiny was one that would change the world forever. Yet, Michael knew that it was going to take much more then what he had, and much more then what he could give to kill Bill if he did indeed get all seven chaos Emeralds.

Flashbacks came back to Michael's head as he remembered his dad, Sonic, teaching him about a legend that had been passed down for hundreds of generations. About the "One". The "One" was the person that would be the one to defeat evils last gasp at victory. Michael had heard his dad say a quote from a passage in the book that said "the one whose wounds shall heal, and where pain hath no mark on shall be the one that must be born pure of heart. Michael knew that he was that person it was speaking of.

Yet, there was one passage that Michael was still uncertain of, it was a passage that had slipped out of grasp with his mind. It was the very last quote to the book, and Michael couldn't remember it.

"Please, help me realise what that passage was...I know I'm at this place for a reason..." Michael closed his eyes and waited for something to be revealed, but got nothing. Michael sighed in dissapointment from not finding out what the passage said and quickly ran back to Eagle-Eye.

"You will find out...now isn't the time, o chosen one...you will find out...when the time is right..."

Michael had made it back to Eagle-Eye to find that his dad and his mom had a new figure with them.

"Did she-?!" Michael was ecstatic when he saw that his mom, Amy, had successfully delivered the baby.

"We've named him Sonie, after Sonic!" Amy said happily, getting a kiss from Sonic.

"He's adorable! That blue fur is just like yours dad!" Michael said happily as he looked at the sky-blue hedgehog cradled in Amy's arms, rocking it back and forth as if lulling it to sleep.

"Michael, theres something, I need to tell you something..." Sonic said, his tone of voice sounding slightly depressed.

"Dad, whats wrong?" Michael asked.

"I received a message from.........................."

"From who?" Michael asked.

"....................Shadow."

"SHADOW!?" Michael's eyes went huge when he heard that name.

"He told me everything, my son...about your thoughts from that passage I read to you when you were but a wee thing...he feels the time has come for you to realise what that passage has in relation to you, my son..." Sonic didn't sound like his usual self, seemingl,y more wise and less cocky then usual.

"W-what do y-you mean?" Michael was getting very curious yet very nervous too.

"Follow me and, according to Shadow, everything will be explained there.

Sonic led his son to a deep section of Eagle-Eye, far from the bustling noise and clammer of the citry into an unknown section of the woods. All light was blocked from the thick overgrowth of trees, with small cracks of light sometimes visible.

"What is this place? I've never seen this area of the woods..." Michael said.

Sonic didn't reply, instead, he led Michael into a cave, showing him a strange device near the center of the cave.

"My son, this is what I was using to contact Shadow...its a direct portal to the other world above...its because of this that past generations found out so much of others...it is through this portal...that you shall discover your destiny, Michael..." Sonci said, his emerald green eyes gave a different kind of glow to Michael; no longer the cocky, overbearing father he knew, but a loving, caring father that sounded so soothing to his ears.

Suddenly, the portal burst with blue light, illuminating the cave to an immense brilliance.

Michael felt his feet lose weight as he felt his entire body being pulled towards the portal.

Michael opened his eyes to find himself sitting on the clouds, blue skies filling the air with crystal clear water beaming from the suns rays.

Michael then heard a voice behind him, and saw it was none other then Shadow.

He looked pretty much the same, with the exception of his eyes changed to a lighter shade of blue instead of crimson red.

"Michael...it is good to see you once again." Shadow said, arms open for Michael.

"You too, Shadow..." Michael returned the compassion, giving Shadow a hug, Shadow's hands felt like hot coal, but it didn't bother Michael.

"I suppose you're wondering what that passage was, Michael?" Shadow asked.

"Yes...I-I would like to know..." Michael said.

"Generations have pased since someone had read the ancient scrolls containing prophecies about the world itself, the world had neglected its words and tossed it aside...yet, you, Michael...you and your father have had an overzealous appreciation for your destinies...and it is here that you will discover what it is that you must do to save this world one last time..." Shadow said.

"What is it that I must fulfill, Shadow?" Michael asked,m his knees trembling from nervousness.

"Michael...you are the one mentioned in that scroll...you are the one that is mentioned in the last page of the scroll that has slipped out of your mind...that passage stated:

"For the chosen one shall sacrifice his own life so that the Ultamite Life Form shall claim vengence on the one that threatens the world with great violence."

Michael...it is clear that your destiny is that your sacrifice shall bring me back into the world so that me and your father shall defeat the evil for good..." Shadow opened his eyes, expecting a tear-eyed boy, but got a serious look instead.

"No wonder the scroll had escaped my mind...my...my mind was trying to keep me from what...I must do..." Michael felt a tear forming in his eye.

"You are so young...yet you have such awesome powers...from your sacrifice, your powers, combined with mine, shall be the crushing blow to the evil that threatens this world...Michael, the path has been opened...it is up to you to choose what your fate shall be..." Shadow said as a bright light engulfed Michael.

Sonic watched as his son walked out of the portal, his complexion had changed significantly since he had went in.

"My destiny...has become clear, dad...its amazing...I'm the one that is going to bring Shadow back, its incredible..." Michael said with a tear in his eye.

"Lets go, my son...you've got to hurry and revive Shadow so this world can be saved from Bill's evil plans!" Michael nodded his head and sped off towards Angel Island to revive Shadow.

"Theres the Master Emerald...now all thats left is to fufill my destiny..." Michael approached the Master Emerald when the Emerald suddenly shattered into many tiny pieces.

Michael looked around frantically for who could have done this, finding noone.

"Show yourself! Damnt, show your dead self!!!" Michael was angry at whoever had prevented him from his destiny.

"Hahahahahah!!!! Foolish mortal!! You just don't get it, do you?!"

Michael looked up and saw Bill floating in the air, the seven Chaos Emeralds radiating around his body, giving off a blinding glow.

"What have you done to the Master Emerald?!" Michael was filled with hate for Bill.

"I have merely prevented you from doing the one thing that threatens my power!! Shadow may have revealed your destiny, but you can't do a damn thing if your destiny has been shattered!!!!" Bill fired a purple beam at Michael, who dodged it.

"You fucking asshole! How dare you defile this world! How dare you keep my destiny from being fulfilled! You are going to pay for this!!!" Michael transformed into his super-form, but Bill easily knocked him aside with a vicious kick to the gut.

"Pathetic...that was such a pathetic display, fool! You can't stop me! Don't you see?! I'm fused with pure Chaos energy!! I have ALL seven emeralds! I am immortal!!!!!!!!" Bill shouted as he shot another beam at Michael, a blue one this time, hitting Michael right on the spot, leaving Michael encased in ice. "Soon the world will know what it feels like to know the meaning of fear!!!!!!" Bill shouted as he sped off towards Eagle-Eye.
