Chapter 22

Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Kyle and Monic were all staring at the huge monstrosity infront of them, amazed at how Bill had managed to harness that much power from the Chaos Emeralds.

The city of Eagle-Eye was a complete war-zone: bodies everywhere, buildings crushed and toppled like they were coke cans, the only things left standing were the five fighters and the dragon.

"How in the world can we beat this thing?!" Tails asked, very worried.

"I don't know...Michael gave his life so that Shadow could defeat Bill...but it seems as though Bill is attempting to thwart that ancient legend...yet, without Michael, this fight is going to be nearly suicidle..." Sonic replied.

"We can't lose hope, even without Michael here to help us!" Kyle shouted, transforming into his superform.

Soon, everyone else followed suit, and all five fighters were super-charged, fighting for their lives and the world.

The combined energys of the five fighters was enough to produce tremors five hundred miles away.

Sonic struck first, hitting the dragon with a homing attack on the face, getting a blast of fire as a "thank-you" from the dragon. Sonic quickly recovered and hit the dragon with another homing attack, this time on the nose.

Monic took his shot and hit the dragon in the legs, making the dragon lose a bit of its balance, but not enough to keep it from attacking.

Sonic and Monic did a double homing attack on the dragon but merely got blown away with a blast of fire from the dragons mouth.

Before Monic could do anything, he found himself encased in a block of ice as he was then crushed by the tremendous weight of the dragon.

"MONIC!!" Shadow shouted, his rage hadf exploded as he used the Chaos Spear on the dragon, sending the dragon reeling in pain as it roared out at the four heros.
