Sonic Series Fan Fiction ❯ Sonic 15th ❯ Chapter 1

A slight breeze blew through his long, cerulean blue spines as he walked toward the palace gates. Bowtie on, flowers and candy in hand, he made his way to the iron gates which surrounded the largest palace the cerulean blue hedgehog had ever seen. He pressed the “call” button, and a dial tone started to play. Suddenly, a voice of what seemed to be an angel picked up and responded with “Hello? Who's there?”

 

“Hey, babe! It's me, Sonic!” the hedgehog replied, ecstatic that his girlfriend answered the phone.

 

“Hey Sonic! Let me open the gates for you.” As those words were spoken, the phone disconnected and the gates slowly opened. Sonic then made his way through the lavish courtyard to get to the front entrance to the palace, where the girl of his dreams, Princess Elise, bid him good day. Once Sonic reached the top of the impressively lavish stairwell leading to the palace door, the lonely Princess embraced him to no end.

 

“Awww, getting dressed up for me, Sonic? How cute!” The princess let out a playful giggle and kissed Sonic on the cheek. Sonic blushed slightly, and looked toward his feet, now getting nervous.

 

“W-w-w-well, I b-b-brought you s-s-s-s…” Sonic sounded like a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich stuck on the bottom of somebody's shoe for the last three weeks he was so nervous. He took in a deep breath to try to regain his composure. Princess Elise just watched Sonic with a bright smile on her face. She knew what Sonic wanted to say, but she figured it was best to let Sonic be the one to say it…afterall, it's cuter that way. Sonic tried again, standing straight up and using a slight british accent to make himself sound collected. “My dear princess Elise, I have brought you some candy and flowers in hopes that you would enjoy them as gifts from me!” He then bowed his spiny head towards the princess, holding his gracious gifts up at her chest level, one in each arm.

 

“Sonic…this is sooo sweet of you. You didn't have to get me anything”

”Of course I did, Elise! Afterall, today marks our one year anniversary!” Sonic grabbed Elise and pulled the typical “sweep the woman off her feet” routine that's been used in just about every cartoon ever made. “And maybe…even a little something more for our special night, right my sweet?” Sonic asked with a coy look on his face, which Elise returned with a coy look of her own.

 

“Of course, Sonic Hedgehog”. They exchanged a playful kiss on the lips, just as Elise remembered something. “Oh, Sonic. Somebody's here to see you.”

 

“Really? Um…ok, lets go!” Sonic put Elise back onto her feet, and then softly joined hands with hers as they walked through the palace's main doors. Once they started down the corridor, Elise made them turn so they would head to the foyer.

 

“Heya Sonic!” A familiar voice called out, belonging to Sonic's best friend, Miles “Tails” Prower.

 

“Tails? What are you doing here?” Sonic asked, confused as to how Tails knew about this place… Sonic hadn't told anybody where the Princess lives.
