- The scene: inside the Cyber Track Zone. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all Chaos Control into view. -

Knuckles: (looking around) Wow. Look at this place.

Sonic: It's like a giant computer.

Tails: Alright! Cool!

Sonic: We didn't come here to sightsee. We have to find the Chaos Emerald.

Amy: But how can we continue? Just look out in front of you.

- Indeed, there is a nearly unsurpassable gap nearby. -

Sonic: Is there a ground beneath?

- As Sonic walks over to the edge, he suddenly rises and lands on the ceiling. -

Amy: Sonic! Are you okay?

Sonic: Apparently gravity has reversed itself.

Knuckles: But how is that possible?

Tails: I don't know. Let's see if it works on us too. (flies forward and lands on the ceiling) I made it. (to Knuckles and Amy) Just walk towards me and you'll be fine!

- Knuckles and Amy both step forward and join Sonic and Tails on the ceiling. -

Knuckles: So, what next?

Tails: I don't know. This passageway looks like it goes on for miles.

Sonic: Why don't we split up? Tails, you come with me down this long path. Knuckles and Amy, you try to search the areas nearby.

Amy: You sure you don't want me to come with you, Sonic?

Sonic: Sorry, but you wouldn't be able to keep up with me. Tails is the fastest out of you three.

Amy: Okay.

- Sonic travels swiftly down the long passageway, with Tails close behind. Eventually, they get to another section where gravity reverses. Sonic and Tails both enter this area and fall back down to the floor. -

Sonic: I figured another one of those areas would pop up out of nowhere.

Tails: Hey Sonic, check out in front of us.

- Sonic and Tails can both see what looks like a large computerized room, with no walls in every direction. -

Sonic: Impressive.

Tails: (takes out binoculars) I wonder if there is even anything out there?

- Through his binoculars, Tails can see a small floating island in the distance. -

Tails: A floating island? I'll bet a Chaos Emerald is keeping it suspended. Let's check it out.

Sonic: Get close to me. (Tails steps closer to Sonic) Chaos Control!

- Surprisingly, nothing happens. -

Sonic: Why didn't it work?

Tails: I don't know. Perhaps there is energy interference in this section. It happens sometimes in computers.

Sonic: Time for Plan B. Do you have enough energy left to fly us across?

Tails: Well, I hope so.

- Sonic grabs onto Tails' feet, and the two start flying towards the island. Just before they can reach it, Tails runs out of energy, and he begins sinking. -

Tails: Too…tired…

Sonic: Pull up! Pull up!

Tails: I'm trying!

- Tails tries to keep himself airborne. He is able to land on the island, but he collapses from lack of energy. -

Sonic: You okay? You look like you can't even stand up.

Tails: Oh, I can stand. (stands up) I just flew for so long that I'm on the verge of spraining my tails.

Sonic: Well then, let's stay on the ground for a bit.

???: (in the distance) Chao chao!

Sonic: Who's that?

Tails: It's Cream and Cheese!

Cream: (running up to Sonic and Tails) Hey guys.

Tails: Cream, are you alright? Did Eggman find you?

Cream: No. Not yet at least.

Sonic: What are you doing here anyway? This place looks too dangerous for you to just hang around.

Cream: I saw this bright flash of light earlier today, and then I ended up here. I tried to find a way off this island, but I walked all over and couldn't find anything.

- G-mel then Chaos Controls into sight near Sonic, Tails, and Cream. -

G-mel: I got you now, Sonic!

Sonic: Oh great. He's back.

Cream: Emerl? Is that you?

G-mel: My name is G-mel. I know nothing of this Emerl you speak of.

Cream: You look like him, though. Are you sure you're not Emerl?

Tails: He's not Emerl, Cream. Eggman created this robot.

G-mel: (to Cream) You have a Chaos Emerald. Give it to me! (lunges at Cream)

Sonic: Hyah! (launches a spin kick at G-mel)

- G-mel is knocked out of the way, but the robot easily gets back up. -

G-mel: You thought a simple kick could stop me?

Tails: Take this! (swings his tails at G-mel, but G-mel blocks it with an energy shield; Tails is flung back a far distance)

Sonic: What?!

G-mel: Just try and stop me now!

- G-mel uses Chaos Control to warp behind Sonic. He successfully pounds Sonic into the ground, rendering him incapacitated. G-mel then jumps into the air and launches some missiles at Sonic. Each of them connects, severely injuring Sonic. -

Cream: Sonic! No!

G-mel: All too easy. (to Cream) Now give me the Chaos Emerald.

Cream: No way!

G-mel: Resistance is futile. You stand no chance against me.

Cream: Cheese, attack!

- Cheese throws himself at full force towards G-mel. G-mel is caught off guard and lands hard on the floor. Cream rushes over to Sonic as Tails returns. She takes out the clear Chaos Emerald and places it against Sonic. -

Cream: Sonic, wake up!

Sonic: (recovering from his injuries with the Chaos Emerald) I'm alright, Cream. (gets up) I wonder how G-mel was able to use Chaos Control here? (noticing the clear Emerald) So you found an Emerald. No wonder G-mel was after you.

Tails: (runs over to Sonic and Cream) What happened?

Cream: Cheese took care of G-mel for us.

Cheese: Chao chao!

G-mel: (gets up) Heavy damage sustained. Retreat. (flies away)

Sonic: After him!

- Sonic, Tails, and Cream all follow G-mel. Eventually they find themselves on another narrow platform, and, once again, a familiar voice is heard from an intercom. -

???: You just won't give up, will you?

Cream: Eggman!

- On one side of the platform, the Egg Launcher rises up to meet Sonic and co. -

Sonic: Yet another of your crazy vehicles. When will you learn your lesson?

Eggman: You realize, of course, that you can't win now. I've already fulfilled my plans for global havoc. Taking care of you and your other anthropoid friends is the last thing on my to-do list.

Cream: But when we work as a team, you don't stand a chance! Cheese, attack!

- Cheese lunges at the Egg Launcher, but Eggman fires a blue ball at him, sending him back to the platform. -

Cream: Cheese!

Eggman: Take this, Sonic!

- Eggman fires a blue ball at Sonic. He dodges it in no time at all. -

Sonic: How are we supposed to damage this thing if we can't even approach it?

Tails: Wait a minute. I have an idea. (to Eggman) Hey Eggman, I'm right here! Come get me!

Cream: Tails, what are you doing?

- Eggman fires a blue ball at Tails this time, but Tails kicks the ball before it hits him. The ball turns orange and flies back at the Egg Launcher, damaging it. -

Eggman: Ow! That's it! You're going down and out this time!

- Eggman starts launching a continuous volley of the blue balls at Sonic, Tails, and Cream, but they decide to do what Tails did earlier and attack the projectiles. After several consecutive counterattacks, the Egg Launcher bursts into flame and plummets downward. -

Cream: Yay! We did it!

Cheese: Chao!

- Eggman and G-mel both fly back into view. -

Eggman: Don't get too excited. You've yet to see my real power! G-mel, the Chaos Emerald!

- G-mel Chaos Controls in front of Cream, snatches the clear Emerald from her, and Chaos Controls back to Eggman. -

Cream: The Chaos Emerald!

Eggman: Let's go, G-mel. To Chaos Angel!

- G-mel and Eggman Chaos Control out of sight. -

Sonic: Chaos Angel?

Tails: It must be where the last Chaos Emerald is. I saw that Angel Island is also close to it, so once we get the Chaos Emerald in Chaos Angel, we can go to the Master Emerald to restore the world's regions. We're almost finished with our mission.

Sonic: We'll need Eggman's Emeralds first, though. And if we plan to keep the upper hand against him, we'll need that last one in Chaos Angel.

Tails: (to Cream) Where did you find the clear Emerald?

Cream: On this island. I couldn't go anywhere else.

Tails: How long ago did you find it?

Cream: I don't know. Several hours, maybe.

Tails: Oh crap. Crap!

Sonic: What's wrong?

Tails: After seeing that the other regions have disappeared, I formulated a theory. My guess is that the Chaos Emeralds control the stability of their respective regions. Once they are removed from their spots, the regions become unstable, as you saw back in Twinkle Snow. We have to get out of here now, before Cyber Track goes down too!

Sonic: How can we get out of here? I don't see any moving platform we can ride. And we still have to find Knuckles and Amy!

Tails: Use Chaos Control. G-mel was able to use it, so you should too.

- A massive earthquake shakes Sonic, Tails, and Cream off their feet, as Cyber Track begins to collapse. -

Sonic: Quickly! You two, over here! (Tails and Cream huddle close to Sonic) Chaos Control!

- Sonic and co. all Chaos Control back to the edge of the mainland. Fortunately, however, Knuckles and Amy aren't too far away. -

Amy: Sonic!

Sonic: Amy! How'd you guys get here so quickly?

Knuckles: We heard an explosion that sounded like it came from where you went, so we rushed over.

Sonic: The Emerald count is now three to three. We need to hurry and get the seventh Emerald to stay ahead of Eggman. Huddle up.

Tails: I just hope the interference is gone over here.

- Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream stand close to Sonic. -

Sonic: Chaos Control! (the group disappears)
