Ch. 4: The Song that tamed the Beast

<Meanwhile, back at Amy's house>

'I just know it has to be him! I just know it! I can feel it in my heart that Sonic is the one!' Amy said as she tried her bestto convince herself that Sonic loved her too, despite the fact that she hadn't gotten any word from Sonic.

Just as soon as Amy finished that thought the telephone rang; when Amy picked it up, however, it was not Sonic, but a distraught Tails on the other line.

"Hey, Tails, whats the matter?" Amy asked.

Tails [on the other end of the line]: Amy, I talked to Sonic about that whole incident, and...and...Amy...I...he doesn't feel the same way that you do to him..." Tails said through tears as static started cluttering up any furthur communication between the two.

Amy, however, had heard all she needed to hear from Tails, she hung the phone up and simply ran outside towards the edge of the mountains of S.S.

However, unknown to Amy, a certain hedgehog had seen her going there.

Amy was atop the mountainous region of Station Square, over 500 feet down was the city itself.

'Sonic...you made me do this...I forgive you, but I want you to forever know how I felt and how much I loved you...'Amy said to herself as tears started to form in her eyes.

Amy sat down on the cliffs edge and started to sing a song of her own, it was a love song she had sung when she first fell in love with Sonic.

"As long as stars shine down from heaven, and the rivers run into the sea, 'till the end of time forever, you're the only love I'll need...In my life you're all that matters, in my eyes the only truth I see, when my hopes and dreams are shattered, you're the one thats there for me...When I found you I was blessed, and I will never leave you, I need you..."

"Imagine me without you, I'd be lost and so confused, I wouldn't last a day, I'd be afraid, that you'd never see me through...Imagine me without you, Lord you know its just impossible, because of you its all brand new, my life is now worthwhile, I can't imagine me without you..."

"When you caught me I was falling, you uplifted me back on my feet, it was like you heard my calling, and you rushed to set me free...When I found you I was blessed, and I will never leave you, I need you..."

"When I found you I was blessed, and I will never leave you, I need you...Imagine me without you, I'd be lost and so confused, I wouldn't last a day, I'd be afraid, that you'd never see me through!!..."

"Imagine me without you, Lord you its just impossible, because of you its all brand new, my life is now worthwhile...I can't imagine me...I can't imagine me...without you..."

Amy had her eyes closed while she was singing, her passion in the song could be rivaled by noone, and it was shame that Sonic couldn't hear it...

...at least, thats what Amy thought.

When Amy finished singing, she heard footsteps behind her. When Amy turned around, she never expected to see Sonic behind her, but that is who she saw; the blue hedgehog who captured and broke her heart. Amy wanted so badly to hurt Sonic for treating her like he had, but she froze when she felt Sonic plant a kiss on her cheek.

'Oh my God...he just...kissed me!' Amy said to herself with tears of joy in her eyes, her fears had been alliviated and Sonic said the three words which Amy had wanted to hear for her entire life:

"I love you, Amy..." Sonic whispered her Amy's ear, his voice sending goosebumps down her spine.

"Sonic, I love you too!" Amy suddenly replied as she planted one hell of a kiss on Sonic's lips. Sonic returned the kiss with as much passion, Amy jumped for joy inside when she felt Sonic return the kiss; her true love with her at last, and it couldn'tve been at a better time.

"Amy, I'm...I'm sorry for how I've treated you lately...When Sally and I first kissed, I thought that life would never turn on me...but it did, and I never looked at love the same way...please, forgive me..." Sonic said, getting another kiss from Amy as a response.

"Sonic, I forgive you...I knew that my feelings towards you were more than what the eye saw...I knew it because...because I have never felt like this before with anyone else. I can't see myself with any other person...Sonic, I love you, and I will never leave you, I have too much love and wanting to be with you." Amy said, her words seemingly clicked inside the hedgehog's mind.

"Amy...I...I don't...I don't know how to say this...thank you...for the first time since Sally did what she did, I feel complete...complete both physically, and complete in my heart...Amy, I will always love you, and nothing will ever change that!" Sonic said with tears in his eyes as they kissed for what seemed like an eternity, the feeling was pure bliss and happiness, knowing that they felt the same way, especially Amy.

'Sonic...thank you...I will never feel otherwise!' Amy said happily to herself as the sun began to set over the horizon, casting a beautiful band of red, orange and yellow in the sky.

The romantic scene was, perhaps, the most gorgeous and heartwarming of all, thats why there was a sudden camera flash.

Amy and Sonic stopped kissing to see the devious Rouge with a camera in her hand, she had captured their love on a picture.

"You two look so natural!" Rouge said with extreme happiness, not just for Amy but Sonic as well. "I'm so happy I got this on a picture...these are the memories that last a lifetime, and I made sure that I wouldn't forget!" Rouge said with a bit of laughter, getting a fit of laughter from Amy and Sonic as well.

"Amy, did I ever tell you that you have a beautiful voice?" Sonic asked, getting a hoot and a hollar from Rouge, causing the blue hedgehog to blush some.

"No, you never did...but thanks for telling me..." Amy said happily as she planted another kiss on Sonic's lips, her dream had come true and she was finally with the one she loved most: Sonic the Hedgehog.
