What Happens Next?

Sonic and Tails slept through the night. Sonic was holding Tails closer to him. He was afraid Shadow would come in through the night and try to hurt Tails. Sonic thought to himself about Tails. He was afraid that Tails might hurt himself. He didn't want that to happen. He loved Tails too much for that to happen.

Sonic: "Tails are you awake?"

Tails: "Yeah."

Sonic: "I want you to promise me something."

Tails: "What is it?"

Sonic: "I want you to promise me that you will never do anything to hurt yourself."

Tails: "I promise."

Tails liked Sonic around all the time. He didn't want him to leave. He loved Sonic and wondered if Sonic loved him back. He wasn't going to say anything because he was raped by Shadow, he was thinking about telling Sonic his true feelings. With Sonic still holding him he fell back to sleep and so did Sonic.

A couple hours later Sonic woke up and heard Tails talking in his sleep.

"Sonic, I love you."

Sonic whispered back while Tails was asleep,

"I love you too."

Sonic was happy to hear that Tails loved him. Sonic had fallen back to sleep and they both slept through the night.

Morning came and Tails was the first to wake up. Sonic woke up ten minutes after Tails.

Tails: "Sonic, there is something I have to tell you."

Sonic: "What is it Tails?"

Tails: "Sonic I…I…I love you."

Sonic: "Tails, I love you to."

Sonic went up to Tails and passionately kissed him. Tails was filled with joy that this was really happening. If this was a dream he didn't want to leave. Sonic felt the same way. He wished this would never end. Tails had broken the kiss and spoke.

"I love you Sonic." Tails said while hugging Sonic.

Sonic held onto Tails tightly and didn't want to let go but he did. They turned on the TV and saw that Shadow was arrested for the rape of someone else.

Sonic: "Shadow is finally locked up and can't come out and hurt you anymore Tails."

Tails didn't know what to say. He was happy that Shadow finally got locked up and won't be back to hurt him for a long time.
