Midnight, the moon is full and the sky is clear. It's lights out at the prison. Everyone was asleep except for a certain black hedgehog, Shadow.

Shadow's thoughts: `Tomorrow night I escape. I can't take it anymore. This is a fucking hellhole. I'll see Tails. He will be fucking glad to see me. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha…'

It was easy to escape from the prison since it was a minimum-security prison. Shadow got the light sentence in court. The next morning he got some of the inmates to cause a fight. While the guards weren't looking he would take the keys. One of the guards went passed him and he grabbed the keys. The guard didn't even feel it. He walked back to his cell like there was nothing going on. All he has to do is wait for the night.

The day went quickly and nightfall came. Shadow waited for the guard to pass by. As soon as the guard passed he got up and unlocked his cell. He went up to the guard and grabbed him from behind making the guard pass out. Shadow switched clothes with the guard and dragged him back to the cell. Shadow closed the cell and locked it.

The other guard would be coming in fifteen minutes. He had to get out quickly. He walked down the moonlit halls and up to the front. He explained that he had a family emergency and had to leave early. Shadow walked out the door and found the car that guard drove.

Shadow: "What a piece of shit. It'll have to do for now."

Shadow got into the car and drove off.

Shadow: "Tails, I'm comin' for you. You'd better have someone to protect you."
