During the clones "manhandling" of Amy, the three dimented scientists gathered around a large stasis tank, full of wires, circuitry and one hibernating life-form. This "Final Project" of the three scientists was an unfinished specimen that the three had an unknown purpose for...

"So, uncle, what exactly do you have in store for this project of yours?" Herring asked, curious as to what the meaning behind such an expensive and deadly, according to Eggman, specimen. Eggman's response was as shocking as it was unheardof.
"...That...is my last resort in case the three clones cannot get the job done..." Eggman said with an unemtional tone, completely without feeling as Herring and Shignleman listened on in curiosity. "...That is not just the end of Sonic and the others...it is also the end of the world...my fellow comrades, I am talking about the destruction of the planet itself!" Dr. Eggman shouted suddenly as his face looked more like a man with nothing to lose and nothing to gain.
"Do what?!?!" Shingleman shouted in disbelief at what Eggman had just said. "B-b-but thats insane! You'll be destroyed as will us!!"
"I don't care...about either me being killed or...you two being...killed..." Eggman said in a robotic voice, his half-roboticized body gave the statement a frightening truth to it.
"So what, is this thing supposed to self-destruct or something?" Herring asked, almost soiling himself after hearing Eggman's proclamation.
"The end is here and now, Herring...the end is here..." Eggman replied, walking back slowly into the room where the clones were, unaware of two freaked-out scientists who almost wet their pants after Eggman's speech.
"Damn, Knuckles, you hit hard!" Michael moaned after getting to his feet, a large gash around his right eye had formed as a result of Knuckles' blow. He looked around and saw his dad just getting up from his spot on the ground.
"Oooh, wow, my head feels like it just got hit by a mack-truck." Sonic muttered as he looked up and saw the red echidna, who was the "mack-truck", staring sorrowfully at him. "Knuckles, next time you decide to lose it, don't vent it out on us or this city, okay?"
"Whatever, Sonic, whatever..." Knuckles said through mutters, getting Sonic's attention rather quickly. "I just got through with one of the most shocking conversations with the Master Emerald: you won't believe what those...things...are doing to Amy right now..." Knuckles said slowly, seeing the blue blurs' face turn a beet red all over.
"Those bastards!!!!!!! Amy, I'm coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sonic shouted as he took off full-speed towards the lab where Amy was being held captive, his son right next to him with Knuckles and Shadow in tow. " The four beings were a mere blur in the distance as the dust trail they left behind covered an entire block.
'Hang on, Amy, we're on our way! Just hang in there!' Shadow said to himself as he sped of into the hroizon with the others. The sun was just half-way over the city as people came out of their hiding spots to see if the angry echidna had left.
