Ch 15: Mind Games
Knuckles was positively kicking the clones' asses when, in a bombshell heard around the world, the AX2000 revealed a new plan: one that would involve the Chaos Emeralds and Amy's life. In a bold move, the AX2000, literally, held Amy's life on the edge with only a button separating Amy's death and her freedom...

"C'mon, where is it? I sensed a strong energy from the West...where di it go?!" Knuckles shouted mentally at himself, losing track of the Chaos Emerald's was not something he was particularly known for. However, given the tremendous circumstances he was facing, it was only nomral for even the Guardien to be nervous.

Meanwhile, while Knuckles was frantically searching for the 1st Emerald, the clones were getting a serious reprieve from battle, as the AX2000 continued to hold Amy prisoner, taunting the trio of heroes several times by lightly tapping the button.
"Why?! Why troture my mother?!" Michael finally spoke up, tears streaming down the concerned boy's face.
"You simple, simple child...don't you see?! If we attack at the main source, then the whole structure crumbles underneath it! You wouldn't dare risk Amy's life at the oppurtunity of getting her free!" The AX2000 roared, laughing sinisterly with Eggman and the others.
'Just hang in there, Amy..." Shadow groaned as him and Michael watched helplessly as the five evil's watched their every move. "Hurry, Knuckles...please hurry up!"
However, Knuckles had lost sight of the Emerald's energy source, punching out his frustration on a nearby mountain, splitting it in two. "DAMNT, WHERE THE FUCK DID THE EMERALD GO TO?!" Knuckles felt his rage building up again, and knew that things were about to get ugly...
..However, a soft voice spoke to Knuckles in his anger; a voice that could've only belonged to the Master Emerald.
'Knuckles...you must first calm your anger and your emotions...once that is done, then the path will be clear and the truth shall be like black and white...' Knuckles listened to the voice of the Emerald, his body and soul being soothed by the Emerald's melody of words.
Knuckles focused his energy-searching mode and soon found where the Emerald's source was: inside a volcano. "Well, here we go!"
