Haku raced toward through the tunnel with a speed unknown to even him.

`It must have been the adrenaline.' He thought to himself.

Haku flew to the Bathhouse's boiler room door and landed in front of it. He transformed to his humanoid form in a rush of silvery scales. He quietly opened the door as he walked toward the boiler and where Kamonji worked.

“Ahh Haku you've returned. Did you not bring Sen with you?”

“So Lin has already informed you?” Haku replied in his calming voice.

“She has. Most of the staff already knows, with the exception of Yubabba and the Foreman.”

“Good. Kamonji, if Chi-Sen decides to stay with us she will have to stay with you in the boiler room. Is that alright?”

Haku turned to leave through the small wooden door behind the old spider spirit's workstation.

“Of course it is. Now, tell me Haku.”

Haku turned back around to give the boiler man his full attention.

“Yes?”

“What shall we do if Yubabba discovers her here?”

“I am leaving now to visit Zeniba. I'm sure she'll provide Sen with a place to stay should the situation call for it.”

“I see. So, young Sen must have made quit an impression on Zeniba for you to be confident enough to ask such a favor of her.”

“She did make an impression on Zeniba. I don't see any reason why she wouldn't offer Sen a place to stay. I am sure that she will want to see Sen no matter the circumstances.”

“Can't you bring her back now?”

“Sen has things to do in her world. It would be selfish of us to rip her from her studies. The weekend is when it is most convenient for her.”

“Hmmm, let's see. What do I write now?”

“Chihiro!” Her mother's voice sounded throughout the house.

“Yeah?”

“I've made dinner. Why don't you come down and eat?”

“No thanks. I'm still not that hungry.”

“Chihiro…”

“I'll make myself a sandwich if I get hungry.”

“Alright!”

Chihiro knew her mother meant well, but sometimes she really got on her nerves. Right now she wanted to remain in her memories of the spirit world. She still couldn't remember that boy's name. She could barely remember his face and she desperately wanted to. She felt empty without him for some reason.

----------oOo-----------

Haku left the boiler man and transformed back in to his dragon form. Lin had told him Yubabba was away. This was the perfect time to see Zeniba, but first he felt that he owed it to Chihiro to tell her of his plans. She was, afterall, a major part of them. This way she would also have time to prepare.

He swiftly made his way over the river that had formed and through the darkened tunnel back to the human world. He rushed to Chihiro's house and looked in her window once again.

She was still at her desk, but she was now writing instead of thinking. He gently tapped on the window with his tail to get her attention. She looked to her door first expecting someone to come in then looked toward the window. He noticed her eyes widening with shock along with a quiet gasp. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and just stared. Obviously he had caught her off guard. She slowly approached her window and slid it to the side.

Haku slowly flew in past her and landed on her floor. He was slightly surprised at her room. It was quit spacious and allowed his form to fit in without any trouble. He had grown during the six years they were apart and he was larger than he had been.

Within the blink of an eye, silver scales cleared to revel his human form to her.

“Hello Chihiro.”

Chihiro was in shock to say the least. His voice and his appearance were slightly familiar, but she couldn't place the face with a name.

“You know me?”

“You don't remember me, do you?” He couldn't keep the sadness from leaking in to his voice. He had hoped that she would have remembered him.

“I…I do remember you…I just…I can't remember…” She trailed off as she racked her brain for the memory that was just beyond her reach.

Her dream finally popped in to her head reminding her of her earlier thoughts. A mystical bathhouse, a contract, a spell, a dragon, and a final caress of the hand. It all flooded the dam that she had unconsciously built up around her memories. Suddenly realization crashed down on her like a bucket of water was just dumped on her numb brain. She let out a loud gasp and allowed the tears she kept hidden for so many years well up in her eyes as she ran toward him.

“Haku!”

She leapt in to his awaiting arms and wrapped her own around his neck. Haku wrapped his arms around her middle as he plunged his nose in to her neck breathing in the scent that surrounded her. He noticed with amusement that she had to stand on her toes to hug him around his neck. He truly was taller now.

“Chihiro, I missed you so much.”

“I missed you, too!” She finally let loose her tears as she cried in to his shoulder. She thought to herself as he rubbed her back trying to calm her down.

`Is this what I felt when I was around him? Is this what I missed? It is. I don't feel lonely anymore. It was his presence that I missed so much. I was craving him!'

“I've been so lonely without you Haku!”

“I'm sorry. I didn't come sooner, because I didn't want to interfere with your life.”

Chihiro pulled away slightly, allowing her hands to rest on his shoulders, looking in to his eyes as she said, “Haku, you could never interfere. I felt so lonely without you. I dreamt of you every night.”

Haku looked back at her. She had truly grown from a young girl in to a young woman. She opened her mouth to speak again and then closed it. She looked away and then looked back at him. Chihiro put her right hand on his left cheek as she looked back in to his comforting gaze.

“I waited for you. And I would have continued to wait for you, Haku. No matter how long it would have taken.”

He looked at her speechless. Haku had missed her so much. He wished he could have seen her grow up. He wished he could have helped her with all of her childhood problems. He wished he was a part of her world.

“I've come to bring you back.”

“Bring me back?”

“For a visit. The staff is eagerly awaiting your arrival.”

“Really? They all remember me?”

“Of course. You made quit an impression on everyone. You turned everything upside down.”

Chihiro blushed and looked away and then turned around with the brightest smile imaginable.

“When do we leave?”

“I'll come back for you on Friday and you can stay the weekend.”

“Alright.”

Haku made his way toward the window and stepped on to the ledge. Before he jumped Chihiro ran toward the window. Haku looked back at her. She was breathtaking. Especially when she just stood there with the wind blowing her tresses. He noticed that her hair flowed like the waves of an ocean.

“Pack your things and be ready to leave after your lessons on Friday.”

“Lessons? Oh you mean school?”

“Yeah. Pack only what you'll need.”
“Hey Haku?”

“Yes?”

“Do you think that you can take me to visit Granny?”

“Sure. I'm actually going to her place after I leave. I'm sure she'll be excited to hear that you'll be visiting.”

“Can you come and visit me tomorrow, too? You know to let me know how Granny is.”

“If you would like.”

“Please. Could you also tell me how No Face is?”

“Of course. I'll see you tomorrow night.”

Haku was getting ready to leap off when she spoke again. Haku was beginning to wonder if he was going to have time tonight to visit Zeniba. He would have to be back before Yubabba returned.

“Haku.”

“Yes?”

“Why must I wait?”

A/N: Well how did you like it? Let me know what you think!
