Chapter 9-Robin vs. Blackfire.

~~~The front underwater entrance.~~~
Raven, Beast Boy and Aqualad came up from the water. Raven stepped out of her pod and onto the water deck. “So, where’s our greeting committee?” Asked Aqualad as he climbed on to the beck.

“I don’t know? It’s all too quiet.” Said Raven.

“Let’s just be careful…Bumblebee and Speedy aren’t answering their communicators I’ve lost all radio contact with Cyborg and Jinx.” Said Beast Boy.

“Try Speedy again, maybe…LOOK OUT!”

They dove out of the way as Plasma let go off the roof he was sticking to. “What’s he doing here!?” Yelled Aqualad.

“I don’t know but I know how he’s leaving!” Yelled Beast Boy, as he turned into a mythical dragon.

He blew fire at Plasma which engulfed him in flames. But the fire didn’t affect Plasma as he jumped from the flames. Raven and Beast Boy got out of the way, but Aqualad was trapped underneath Plasma. As Raven and Beast Boy looked back, Aqualad appeared in one of the green boils on Plasma’s head. “Azorath metrion zinthos!” Yelled Raven as she focused her powers on Aqualad and tried to pull him from Plasma.

Beast Boy decided to help and turned into an elephant and charged into Plasma. As Beast Boy pushed him back, Raven worked harder to pull Aqualad from Plasma. She succeeded and Aqulad fell onto the floor. Beast Boy ran back over to them as Plasma got up. “Oh he is gonna pay for that!” Said Aqualad as he shook himself to try and get rid of the slime from Plasma.

But before they could move, an electrified net fell over them as a disk flew past them and on to Plasma. They were electrified before they even had a chance to react. Behind them, Gizmo held the controller for Plasma. “Good work Kitten, that net was a great idea.” Said Gizmo as he led Plasma back to his containment cylinder.

Kitten purred against Fang. “Well, it worked well enough on Bumblebee and Speedy…so there was no reason to think that it wouldn’t work on these rejects as well.” She mewed.

“And good work to you 2 as well. Getting rid of Jinx and Cyborg in one fell swoop. Slade will be pleased with all of us.” Said Fang.

“He may even rethink Blackfire as our leader.” Said Mammoth hopefully.

“Let’s wait and see how she does against Robin. If she can beat him, then I say she deserves to lead.” Said Kitten.

“Let’s go back to the control room, we can watch the fight from there.” Said Gizmo.

They left the 3 Titans where they laid.

~~~Underwater Supply Entrance.~~~

Robin waited impatiently for Cyborg’s signal. He then began fearing the worst for his comrades. “Cyborg, this is Robin…Do you copy?” He said over the communicator.

No answer. “Cyborg…Raven…Speedy…anybody, do you copy?”

Still no answer. “What’s happened to you guys?”

Robin decided he had no choice but to go in now. “Star can’t hold out much longer, she needs me.”

He turned on the jets and went into the entrance, as soon as he surfaced he opened the hatch and jumped on to the deck. Robin began running towards the door. But before he could reach it, something swung from the pipe above him and kicked him the face. He fell on the floor and looked up at his attacker. “Welcome Robin. I’ve been waiting for you.” Said Blackfire.

“Blackfire. How did you…” Started Robin.

“Know you were coming. Robin, you’re too predictable. I knew that those idiots you call friends were going to draw out the robots and the other apprentices. So, we went in with a plan of our own.”

A screen came down behind her. It flicked on into 3 different screens. “No!” Yelled Robin.

“Yes…Raven, Beast Boy, Speedy, Aqualad, Bumblebee, all trapped and unconscious. Jinx, dead. Cyborg dead. And pretty soon, you and you’re precious Starfire will join them.” Blackfire gloated.

Robin hung his head. Blackfire walked over and knelt down in front of him. “You’ve lost Robin. All you did was drag your pathetic friends down with you. Face it Robin, it’s over, Slade wins. Now, 2 of the titans are dead and the rest of them will be soon. And Starfire…hmm …Starfire will likely spend the rest of her miserable life down here as Red X’s little plaything and there’s…”

But Blackfire didn’t finish that sentence as Robin’s fist flew into her stomach. Then his other fist shot out and struck her across her face, sending her flying into the wall. Blackfire quickly got to her feet and wiped her mouth. She blood on her hand, and felt the swelling forming on her lip. “That was dirty Robin.” She hissed.

“If you think that was bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet.” Said Robin.

A wicked smile formed on his lips. “You’ve helped Slade take everything from me. Starfire, my friends, and at one point, Slade took my freedom. Well, no more. This ends now Blackfire. Then, it ends for Slade!”

Robin charged at Blackfire, for the hardest fight of his life.
