"hey Tai, did Koji already arrived?" X-brawn asks, Tai shakes her head, "uhm, no, now you mention it, I didn't, usually he is very early, where could he be?"

"contact doctor Onishi" Prowl suggests, Tai nods and sends a message to Onishi's celphone, they wait a while and they gasp as Dr. Onishi's face appears on one of the screens, it is red from the tears that are wetting his face, "Autobots, what is it?" Tai blinks, "Doctor Onishi? What is wrong, why are you crying? Koji didn't showed up so we thought something might be wrong" Onishi's face saddens, "Koji, is in the hospital, he was found in the park, I, I" Prowl and X-brawn look at each other, "what happened?" "We don't know, he didn't wake up yet, but he does say words like Beast, Demon, Blood and such, he has broken ribs, bruises almost everywhere, a headwound and his right-leg is broken on multiple places, the doctors say that he will never be able to walk right again" DR. Onishi turns his face away, "I have to go now, I will notify you when I have news on his health" the screen turns black as the line is disconnected.

"no way!!" the autobots gasps as Prowl and X-Brawn tell the news, "Koji!! In the hospital!!" they repeat, "but, why?" Tai looks down, "Doctor Onishi said he was found in the park, he was in bad condition, he didn't said what happened" Optimus Prime walks to the space bridge, "then we will look there, Autobot Brothers, you three come with me, the rest goes on patrol, or work on the spacebridge" he looks at the build team, "how are you doing?" Wedge smiles, "we just finished the new africa route" wasn't that hard at all, at least, not for me Optimus prime nods, "good, well done"

"Optimus! Onishi just send a notice! He said that Koji woke up a few moments ago, he tells you to look on the picnic place, Koji heavily noted that place" Tai calls before the four transformers leave the headquarters.

"ok Tai, we will go there" Prowl responds

"wow, it's crowded here, yo! Prowl! Get those people moving willya!" X-Brawn notes, Prowl speeds up and activates his sirens, "please, everyone clear way! I repeat, clear way!" the humans slowly start to move aside as the policecar, firetruck, SUV and sportscar make their way to the front, most people leave the field, only a few journalists stay to make pictures but they also leave as Prowl directly approaches them.

"alright, the place is clear, Autobots!" "Transform!" they call, switching forms.

"what is that?" Prowl points at the bones on the grass, "look at it, it's a deer, and it's completely eaten!" he looks at Optimus Prime, "what could have caused this?" X-brawn wonders, "I have no idea, what do you think, Sideburn?" he looks at the sportscar, he shakes his head, "I, I don't know" X-Brawn walks to him, "Sideburn, don't feel sorry, it wasn't your fault, you couldn't have known that Koji would be attacked!" Sideburn looks away, "I, I don't feel well X-brawn, I, I think I go for a drive" he transforms after Optimus nods.

"but we're going to examine this, we take the bones to Tai, she can make a detail out of it" Optimus says as he places the bones in a box.

"I'm sorry, I can't seem to make a profile of this" Tai shakes her head, "I'm sorry, but I can only say that the bones are completely gnawed, but you figured that out yourself" she shakes her head, "sorry, no suggestions"

(Three days later)

X-Brawn leaves Autobot HQ, wondering, they heard from the predacons that Darkscream had been attacked in the park too, up to three times! He transforms and heads out to the park, it's getting dark, whatever that monster is, I will find it, tonight! He thinks as he races over the road, towline and prowl aren't here, so who cares? He brakes as he reaches the east entrance, blinking as he sees the back of a very familiar car entering the park, the number plate white, black letters: C-004, what's Sideburn doing here!?! I'd better follow him! He thinks as he starts pursuit, being careful not to attract Sideburn's attention but also not to lose the car in the dark woods, what's that little lad doing? Sneaking through the park in the middle of the night, while there's a monster roaming around!!

"X-brawn, transform!" Sideburn turns around, facing his older brother, "X-Brawn! Wha, what are you doing here?" he asks, X-brawn looks at him, "could ask you the same question, Sideburn, I have the feeling something's bothering you, listen, no! just listen to me" he says as Sideburn attempts to say something, X-Brawn notices the strange look in his younger brothers eyes, his body is shaking softly, "it wasn't your fault that Koji was attacked, you couldn't have know that, I know that you're blaming yourself but this is starting to become bad, you ain't concentrating on anything these days!" Sideburn turns around, "I'm sorry X-Brawn, it's just, that, I" "you don't have to tell me, I know what you're going through" X-Brawn lays a hand on his shoulder, noticing the shivering, like Sideburns is holding something back, tears? He turns around, "let's go home Sideburn" he says as he starts to move towards the woods, Sideburn turns around too.

"Aaaah!" X-Brawn screams as a heavy load jumps him from behind, he tries to stand but a strong, very strong force tears him to the ground, he lands on his back and the heavy weight moves onto his chest, a white face with a blue helmet quickly dives forward to X-brawns neck, before the green transformer can even react… "Sideburn! What are you… raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh" X-brawn led out a loud scream as Sideburns mouth clamps around his neck into a forceful grip, sharp carnivore fangs digging into the metal like it's nothing, reaching the pumping artery and cutting a small hole to be able to drain X-Brawn's mechfluid…

"Sideburn, what are you doing? Stop it!" X-Brawn moans weakly, feeling his energy being drained, his optics start to flicker on and off as they are put offline to safe energy, he twitches one last time before his systems warn him for the energy-shortage, and they also go offline, leaving only the vital systems active…
