Trigun Fan Fiction ❯ Delicate Butterfly ❯ There and back again ( Chapter 7 )
Vash and company took the new Aerith to a diner after buying her some proper clothes. She wore a cute purple sleeveless shirt with white pants. Her hair was combed and was silky smooth.
Aerith was sipping at her Diet Coke when she noticed Vash, Meryl, Milly, and Nicholas were all staring at her. She put her drink down and stared back at them. Silence.
"Right…what's wrong…?" Aerith asked with a raised eyebrow. Vash shook his head to snap out of it.
"Yah well. You're just…just…,"
"Pretty," Nicholas finished for him. Vash nodded his head in agreement. Aerith blushed a dark red. Meryl and Milly noticed.
"I can't believe this is what you'll look like if we raised you," Meryl said admiringly. Milly nodded her head in agreement. Then all went serious.
"Aerith, what did Knives do to you? Did he hurt you? What does he want with you?" Vash asked in a line of questions. Aerith's face went sad. Legato flew through her head.
"He didn't do anything to me," Aerith said quietly.
"It was…," She didn't want to say his name. It he scared her too much. Vash looked into her eyes. He knew.
"Legato, right?" Aerith jumped. Vash could read her eyes. Damn strait. She put a hand up to were Legato cut her. It stung a bit but not as much.
"Who exactly is he papa? He said he could read and control minds?"
"Yep. God he scares the shit out of me,"
"Don't let him touch you Miss! He's killed every lover he's been with," Milly warned.
"But we won't let him take you!" Vash declared with pride. The rest sweat dropped.
"Don'tcha worry about a thing sweetie!" Vash said with a cute face. Aerith couldn't help but giggle with Meryl and Milly. Nick just sat there.
The lights dimmed and a band started to play. The gang looked up to watch.
"Mama?" Aerith leaned toward Meryl.
"Hmm?"
"That guy up there, the sax, isn't he hot?" Meryl giggled in agreement.
The guy opened his eyes and spotted Aerith. He winked at her as he lifted his sax for a high sharp.
"Did he just look at me?!" Aerith asked Meryl excitedly.
"He did…," Nicholas scowled. The music started to get funky and Aerith got up to dance.
The band saw the brave girl and got the music up. She shook her hips and twirled around.
The sax man's part ended and he put his sax down. He went down and took Aerith's had and began to dance with her.
Vash just watched. Nicholas's head moved beside Vash's.
"What's wrong? Jealous?"
"No," Nick just sat there.
"Just worried okay Wolfwood," Vash said firmly.
Legato stood in a dark room. He put a hand to his head.
Now, were are you…
Were are you…
"Miss, were did you learn how to dance?" the man asked Aerith. She smiled as she twirled around him and he took her hand.
"My name is Aerith. And I don't know how to dance really, it just came to me!" The man chuckled. Almost in a devilish tone.
I finally met her.
The man pulled her close.
"Aerith, what a pretty name," he whispered as the music calmed to a slow dance.
I found you…
Legato smiled as he also notice his right-hand man found her. He strode out to the diner to take back what was rightfully his.
~~Hour later~~
After dancing around with this man, Aerith was finally beat.
"GET DOWN!" the man yelled as one of the walls caved in, collapsing on 5 people. Sunlight poured in. The man grabbed Aerith to get her out of the way and was separated from Vash and company. He shielded her from falling rubble.
The smoke cleared up and Legato stepped in.
"Aerith, you've been a bad girl. I think a punishment is in order," he chuckled. Aerith squeaked in horror and tried to run for it. She couldn't move, the man's weight was holding her down.
"Midvalley. Were is she?" Legato demanded. The man who was "protecting" Aerith got up and brought her up with him. His grip tightened on her arm.
"Hey! Get off!" she yelled at him. She looked around (avoiding Legato's eyes) for Vash.
"Papa! (Ow!) Were are you?!" she tried to squirm out of the grasp but couldn't.
Legato walked up to her and held her face in place. He gently caressed his lips against hers. She whimpered.
Legato took her from Midvalley. His hand held both of her arms together.
Get the fuck off me!
Legato slapped her face, leaving 3 bleeding cut marks of her face.
"Such foul language for such a pretty girl," he hissed. Tears began to roll down her face.
"Crying won't help you," he added as he whipped a tear away with his thumb. He was about to leave when Vash's voice screamed at him.
"Get your dirty hands off my daughter!" Vash said as he pointed his gun at Legato.
Legato slowly pulled Aerith in front of him and put her in a choke. Vash cocked his gun.
"You really care about this delicate butterfly don't you Vash the Stampede?" Legato asked as he slowly nuzzled Aerith's neck. Vash could see her tremble.
"If you want her to live, you will drop your gun and we'll be on our way," Legato said in a hiss. Vash glared.
Don't drop the gun damn it! Don't!
Aerith earned a quick cut on her arm from Legato for thinking of such thing. Vash sighed and reluctantly dropped his gun. Aerith's eyes widened.
"NO! Pick it up! PLEASE!" she screamed with tears. Legato suddenly bit a special part of her neck, and caught her limp body. Vash started to charge.
Legato picked up Aerith's limp body in his arms and jumped over Vash's head just in time.
"Midvalley! Were leaving," Legato yelled as he once again jumped over Vash's charge and ran to a nearby jeep. They sped off when Midvalley got in.
Vash didn't bother to yell or scream for her. Only a single tear could tell how much he loves her…and how pissed he is.
