Chapter Four

We put all our new purchases away, and collapsed onto the couch.

"All right Hitomi spill; who is this mysterious man?"

There was a long silence. I didn't know if I should tell her she probably wouldn't believe me. I finally said something.

"His name is Folken…Folken Fanel."

"Who is he?"

"He is a prince of a country he abandoned."

"Right… tell me the truth Hitomi."

"I am. I met Lord Folken five years ago."

"How did you meet him?"

"Now that I am not sure if I should tell you. You won't believe me."

"Try me."

"Folken is from a place called Gaea, a place not on earth. I met him when I went to Gaea 5 years ago."

"Hitomi I think you have lost it."

"I told you, you wouldn't believe me. I know it's a bit farfetched but you must believe every word I say."

"Alright. What happened to his arm? When I saw him hold your hand his arm looked artificial."

"Your right. When Folken was 15 years old it was his turn to become king of his country Fanelia. To become king Folken had to slay a dragon and return a dragenergist as proof of completion. Folken had an unfortunate accident, the dragon he was supposed to kill ripped off his right arm and ate it, leaving Folken to die."

"Oh my god, what happened to him? Obviously something good because he is still alive."

"Well, Folken was found and taken to Zaibach where a team of doctors fixed him up and gave him a new arm. When they found him he was so close to death."

"What happened next?"

"Well, Folken never returned to Fanelia, his mother passed away months after Folken's disappearance. Months before she had lost her husband. Folken became in charge of the Zaibach military, The Dragonslayers."

"What happened to Fanelia, if Folken didn't become king?"

"Folken had a younger brother named Van, he was 5 during Folken's disappearance. Van didn't like to talk about his past, but when Van turned 15 he became king, he was successful in his dragon slaying, and that is when I came to Gaea. I was brought to Gaea when Van appeared in our world and I somehow was transported back with him. That is where our journey began. We met so many different people."

"Can you tell me about some?"

"Well there was this one man named Allen, he looked identical to Amano. He was a Knight. He asked for my Hand in marriage days before I came home, but I refused."

"Why would you refuse something like that? If anyone as good looking as Amano proposed to me I would accept in a heartbeat."

"I was in love with Van…"

About two hours later Hitomi was wrapping up her stories about her adventures with Van, Allen, and the gang. It was now getting pretty late in the evening.

"So, you said Folken was going to come back for you, when is he going to pick you up? When would you be coming back?"

"Well Folken wanted me to meet him at the track tomorrow when the full moon is out. As for when I'm coming back I'm not sure if I will be back if things go great there I might just comeback to get the rest of my belongings and live the rest of my days on Gaea."

So soon? "Well if you have to leave so soon, let's make tomorrow a day you'll remember. You'll never forget your best friend will ya?"

"Yukari don't be ridiculous how could I forget a best friend like you."

"It's getting late I think we should turn in you have a busy day tomorrow."

"Good night Yukari."

"Night"
