Chapter Eleven

Van continued his search but he got so tiered he stopped at a neighbouring village for the night. In the Morning he will go to Asturia.

Van walked up to an inn and went inside, leaving his Escaflowne out back covered.

"Hey can I have some service here?" van was short tempered tonight.

"What can I do for you sir?"

"I would like a room for the night."

"Very well, may I have your name?"

"It's Van…Van Fanel."

"Van Fanel, here is the key to your room hope you enjoy your stay."

"Thank you."

Van walked up to his room and went to bed.

Folken was still awake he was walking on the balcony of his quarters, staring into the starry sky.

Folken heard the sound of hooves coming and looked down he saw Kira gallop into the palace courtyard.

Folken flew down towards the frightened horse.

"Kira, what's wrong? Where's Hitomi?"

"Hitomi must be in trouble." Folken looked worried. He mounted the horse. "Take me to her."

Folken rode off back into the forest and within a few hours Kira led then to the scene of where Hitomi was attacked. Kira could smell that another person with a horse was here and they went to the left.

"Where is Hitomi?" Folken was looking all around trying to figure out which way Hitomi was taken.

"Kira, do you know which way Hitomi was taken?"

Kira just pointed his head in the direction he smelled the other horse, and Folken gave the okay to follow.

Allen and Hitomi were four hours ahead of Folken. Allen was already in Asturia. He rode up to the castle and put the horse in the stable. He carried Hitomi inside; he went down the hall and met his beloved wife Melerna who was a doctor. Allen and Melerna married a year after Hitomi went back to the Mystic Moon.

"Melerna, Hitomi has returned."

"Hitomi…is she alright?"

"She has a fever; I think she got a piece of a poisonous plant in her skin." Allen lifted up Hitomi's miniskirt to find a piece of the poisonous plant in her skin. "Here this I a piece of the poisonous plant, would you be able to make a remedy for Hitomi."

"Yes I have just the thing."

Melerna took the piece of the plant and put it into a cloth and took it into her study down the hall.

Allen carried Hitomi into the guest room and placed her on the bed. Allen sat on the edge of then bed and put his hand on her cheek. "Hitomi, you have grown into such a beautiful and attractive woman."

Of course I was oblivious to all of this.

Allen remained at my side until Melerna came into the room and brought the ointment. Allen took the ointment and put some of it on his finger and rubbed it onto where he pulled the poisonous plant out.

"She will need to have some rest, to regain her strength."

"Come on Melerna, its late we too should rest for the night."

"I'm not that tiered why don't we talk a walk in the gardens."

"Sounds like a good idea."

Allen and Melerna closed the door to Hitomi's room and made their way outside in the garden. The moon and the earth were directly above them it was so beautiful.

Folken was able to shorten the 4 hour difference by 2 hours, he arrived in Asturia 2 hours after Allen. Kira led Folken into the stables where Kira recognised the horse they followed was in here.

Folken tied up Kira for the time being, and decided he will make his presence known in the castle.

Folken walked into the castle easily enough. He only met one person, a servant.

"Excuse me would you be able to tell me if a Hitomi Kanzaki is here?"

"Well Allen brought an unconscious woman here that he found in the forest, which might be the girl you seek."

"Could you tell me where to find this girl?"

"Follow me,"

Folken followed the servant down the hall, until they stopped at a door.

"This is where Allen's guest is sleeping."

"Thank you. Could you do me one little favour?"

"What is it?"

"Please do not tell anyone in this castle that I am here." Folken raised his mechanical arm up and made a fist to frighten her. "Do you understand me?"

"Yes." The servant quickly got away from the mysterious man.

Folken stepped into the room and closed the door. He walked over to the bed and saw Hitomi sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Folken sat down on the edge of the bed like Allen did earlier, and just watched Hitomi sleep.
