Chapter Twelve

The servant was running down the hall searching for Allen to report this intruder.

"Allen Schezar, Allen…"

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry to interrupt but, a strange man was wandering the hallway. He seems nice enough and asked if there was a woman named Hitomi in the castle. I lead him to her room, and he threatened to kill me I'm so sorry I think I've endangered lady Hitomi's safety."

Folken was running his fingers through her hair and down her face. She was starting to awake.

"Hitomi I'm so sorry I have awakened you."

"No, Folken don't be silly, it's okay." Hitomi looked deep into his eyes "Why have you come here?"

"Kira came back to the palace; I figured something was wrong when you weren't with him. So he brought me here. What happened?"

I looked away at Folken and spoke. "When I went to go see Van I was shocked to find Van with another woman. I ran off into the forest and I was attacked by a group of seven men who wanted to tie me up and take me to their hideout. I sent Kira to get help but help wouldn't come soon enough, luckily for me Allen wasn't to far away and herd me scream. He came and chased off the men. I had a fever and collapsed so he brought me here, to rest."

"I'm sorry about what you had witnessed when you went to van, but you must understand where Van is coming from. Van didn't know if you were ever going to return. He was being pressured to marry, and start a family. He still loves you very much but he wasn't sure he could wait forever."

"I understand. I just overreacted. I was so excited to see him again that I was unprepared to expect the unexpected."

"I understand." Folken took me into his arms and he held me.

He was so warm, it was so comforting, and it felt like all my problems had gone away. I had my head rested against his chest; I could hear his heart beating.

Everything was so peaceful until the doors burst open and Allen came in with his sword drawn.

"Hitomi!"

I came back to earth.

"Folken" Allen said angrily "get your hands off of her."

"Allen."

Folken stands up. "I don't mean to cause trouble but I came hear out of concern for Hitomi when Kira appeared back at my Palace with no Hitomi."

"Why would Hitomi go to your palace?"

"Because Folken was the one who brought me to Gaea, and he is the one who gave me Kira."

"Hitomi." Both Folken and Allen said at the same time.

"I was headed back to Folken's palace when I was attacked."

"I think it would be best if I return to my kingdom since I am not welcome here."

"Folken…"

"Hitomi…you know where to find me. I will leave Kira in the stables for you."

I nod my head and Folken walks out to the balcony and I watch as his wings come out from his back and he flies back to his kingdom.

"Hitomi are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Folken was just worried about me, He helped me understand better about what happened back in Fanelia." I yawned "I think ill get some sleep, good night."

"Good night…Hitomi." Allen closed the door and joined his wife and slept.
