Chapter Seventeen

In Fanelia Van was getting worried.

"Lord Van what's wrong? Where's Hitomi I haven't seen her at all today?"

"She disappeared during the night, Merle. I'm getting worried about her. She left a note behind saying she went to see an old friend about for advice. Hitomi told me not to worry that she would be back as soon as she can."

"What old friend? Who could she possibly be seeing Allen and Melerna were here yesterday? Could she have gone back to the Mystic Moon?"

"She could have."

Folken takes me to a small lake. It is so calm, the Mystic Moon and the moon are reflected on the water along with the stars. It was so beautiful we were surrounded.

"Isn't this place beautiful?"

"Yes it is. It seems so magical."

Folken laid down a blanket and we sat there.

"I thought you could have used a change from the dreary palace."

"I like your palace, but this is really nice too."

"You miss the Mystic Moon don't you?"

"Well not really, there are a few things I miss like my family and friends but I don't miss the way of life back there so fast paced."

"Your world looks so busy."

"That was a mall it's always busy it's like a giant market inside a big building, but still it is really busy. There are so many people on earth; I think there are about 6.4 billion people."

"Wow… that's a lot of people."

"Yeah, some places are pretty crowded. Like 1000 people can live in the same building all their life."

"If you don't mind Hitomi… could you tell me about your family and friends?"

"Sure."

"Thanks."

"I lived with my mother in a house in Tokyo until I was 18, then my friend Yukari and I moved into an apartment when we went to university. Yukari was so sad to see me go; we had been friends since we were young children."

"What's this University?"

"When you are about 4-5 years old your parents send you to school, where you would have people teach you about many things. Every year you go up a grade, you start out in junior kindergarten and go to senior kindergarten then to grade 1 and the same pattern to grade 8. Once your pass grade 8 you go to a different school called high school that goes to grade 12. Then if you want to continue your education you go to collage or university. Collage and university both go after high school but they are different levels in education. Collage is more hands on and university is more theory."

"We don't have anything like that here, so you could continue."

"Even if I could continue, Gaea doesn't have the technology and enough people who would know what I'm taking."

"What were you taking?"

"Mostly sciences and computer technology."

"I don't even want to know what a computer is."

"You don't its too complicated, I just want to sit here and look at the sky."

I rest my head on Folken and look up into the sky. "Folken."

"Yes."

"Would you walk me down the aisle at my wedding?"

"I'd be honoured."

Not to long after Folken's response I fell asleep.

When I woke up I was in my room.

I must have fallen asleep but how did I get back to my room? Did Folken carry me? I can't believe I fell asleep that's all I've been doing.

It must have been one in the morning it was really dark out. I was so happy I didn't have any weird steam dreams of Folken. I don't even remember having any dreams at all…that was even weirder.

I was planning on leaving so I would be able to get to Fanelia by sunrise. I wrote Folken a note that I was going back to Fanelia, and decided to put it in his room.

I walked to his room and gently opened his door careful not to wake him. I walked up to his bed and he was sound asleep. I placed the note on his nightstand and I stood beside his bed looking at him.

Folken started stirring in his sleep so I rushed out of there and quietly closed the door. I walked down the hall and went outside the palace and walked to the stables. I got Kira ready to ride and I mounted him and rode off to Fanelia hopefully I wont meet any shady characters.
