Chapter 7: Red eyes!
"Your majesty you have to make a decision quickly!"
"Mirem is right! And now more than ever! We are at war and the country has no heir! What if you die in war? Who will succeed you majesty?"
"You have to marry immediately!"
"If you don't choose a wife soon, we will be forced to do it for yourself!"
"The country must not live one more month with an heir to the crown!"
"Think in the country your majesty!"
"Think about your people! You must marry at once!"
"ENOUGH!" - all of the council sat down and silence filled the room for the first time on the last three hours. - "Listen to me very carefully! I've fight today to save my country and when I return to my council, instead of reporting me about the damages, you come with the same conversation of every week! I've told you already that I shall marry to whom I want, whenever I decide to! Have I made myself clear!" - the council shivered under his hard words and nodded. - "Good! Now report to me the situation!"
"If I may interrupt your majesty?" - Kokato got up. He had been the only one who hadn't said a word on the last hours.
"Please proceed Kokato!"
"I believe that the council is right your majesty!" - all on the room opened his eyes wide, surprised by Kokato's words. He had always agreed with Van's ideas. Never in their lifes had the council seen Kokato disagreeing with him. And Van was the most shocked of them all. - "You are twenty-six already and as mush as we would love to wait until you find the suitable queen, I'm afraid e can't wait anymore! It is very obvious that this army pretends on killing you and if they succeed Fanelia will have no heir. You must marry now! I suggest that you marry in one week at he most!" - they all looked amazed at Kokato and Kokato shivered as he saw Van's angered eyes.
"Kokato!" - Van's got up from his seat and all the others jumped from theirs with fear. - "I believe that I'm still the one in charge here!" - Kokato was ready to argue, but Van relaxed and sat back on the huge chair. - "But on the other side, I know that you are all right! If it is for my country than I shall marry!" - even the guards were surprised. And the council was incredibly happy. They had finally managed to convince their king into marriage. - "If I don't choose my Queen in the next three days, than I will marry with the one you choose for me! Is that enough for you?" - Van asked as he got up again.
"YES YOUR MAJESTY!" - they all said in chorus as they got up too.
Van left the room, dismissing them all.
He walked to his room, with his eyes down, not looking into anybody. He just wanted to be alone for a while.

She woke up from her nightmares, to live another one. Her live was already a nightmare and not even on the dream world she had little bit of peace.
As she opened her eyes, she adjusted them to the lack of light in the room.
She shivered as she noticed who was sleeping at her side. All she wanted right now was to die, but she couldn't.
She got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom, completely naked. She turned on a candle and took it to the bathroom, to give her some light. She stopped in front of a big mirror and she put the candle above a small table nearby. It just gave her enough light to see her reflection in the mirror.
She had a very beautiful body, but she didn't like to look at it, because it reminded her from whom she had given herself too. She took her hands up to her head and removed the dark mask. As she took it off completely, she shacked her head and moved her fingers through her black hair.
She picked a comb that was nearby and started combing her long black hair.
Her eyes opened widely when she looked closer to her reflection. The comb fell to the floor, as she looked petrified into the mirror.
"No! Please God no!" - she put her face between her hands and started crying and stepping back, she fell off hard on the floor, and cried even more.
Her eyes were red! A red she wished not to see ever again! All she didn't need right now was something else that Luktor could use as a shield to force her to do whatever he wanted. - "Please God, not another child!" - the candle blew and she was back into complete darkness, which embraced her as she cried out for her own sake.

"WHAT?" - They all yelled in unison.
"Who's gonna marry who?" - Zardus asked obviously surprised-
"I didn't say to whom would he marry, I just said that he is going to marry!" - Kokato said in a defensive way, as they all seemed to want and kill him for what he had just said.
"But he can't marry!" - Merle said, showing her nails to him, as he shivered with fear.
"Yeah! Van can't marry any of those nasty princesses!" - Chris added.
"Lord Van has to give an heir to the country! If he dies you're not gonna be the ones to stay on his place, now are you?" - they all looked to the door, from where Nazin just had came from.
Nazin was the youngest of Van's advisors, he was twenty-three, red hair and dark-ed yes. He was also the one and only who could put their nerves on completely.
"Shut the fuck up Nazin! Who asked you anything?"- Merle shouted angrily.
"As Van's main advisor, I have to take care of his business and now,. It is obvious that we need a fucking heir!" - he yelled at her. Seico had to hold her back, so that she wasn't able to go and scratch him to death.
"Nazin is right and his majesty agreed with us! If he does choose a queen in three days, we have all the right to choose one from him. And he won't be able to protest against our decision!" -Kokato finished, sighing n relief as Merle was now more interested in Nazin.
"I can't believe Van agreed with that! After all he was …" - they all looked at Chris, who was about to say that he was engaged to Kamy, but she knew she couldn't say it.
Kokato also knew that Van loved Kamy, and that was why he never insisted on Van to get marry, but this … this was an emergency.
"He was what Chris?" - Kamatary asked after some silent moments. Chris looked at her. Anger filling her eyes and each of her words.
"He … was … determined to marry one and only person who decided to dump him over and give no explanation …" - she was about to continue, but Hitomi's hand on her shoulder told her not to. The look in Hitomi's eyes told her that she knew, but that was - "Impossible!" - Hitomi just smiled and let go of her.
The door busted open and Van came in as if nothing had happened. They all looked at him in awe.
"What?!" - he asked, not understanding the reason for all of them to be staring at him.
"Van, are you felling alright?" - Allen asked in a worried way.
"Wha … are you all fucking crazy? Hat's the matter with you people? Have you seen a ghost or something?" - they nodded affirmatively. Van looked at them, even more amazed. - "You should really go and see a doctor! Maybe there's a plague contaminating everyone on the Palace! Shall we have dinner?" - he asked, not waiting for an answer and walking to his seat at the huge table. They all followed him as if they were zombies. All except for Kokato and Nazin who were about to get out.
"Why don't you join us at the table?" - they both turned around, to make sure that Van ad asked them that. Then they looked one at another, as if they were asking each other if they had heard him well.
"Van, you really should go and see a doctor!" - Nazin said, leaving the room along with Kokato.
It had been he first time that Van had asked any of his advisors to join him at the table. Of course they were amazed.
"So! What's wrong with you people!" - Van asked as soon as he started eating.
"What's wrong with us? What's wrong with us?" - Chris got up from her seat and turned to Van angrily - "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU! YOUR FUCKING ADVISORS JUST TOLD US THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED AND YOU ASK WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH US! HELL YOU SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR!" - she sighed and sat back. The others were now staring at her with their eyes wide open.
"Oh! I see you heard the news! Well I decided that my council was right this time, so …" - he didn't knew how to finish it. He really didn't want to finish what he was saying. After all it hurted him to decide for some stupid prince who would became his wife. Besides he didn't like the idea of using her just to give an heir to his country.
He started eating again, and as the others noticed that he wouldn't ay anything more they started eating too.
The kids were not eating with them. They were with their nanny's and ate along with them.

She stared at the night sky and counted the stars. Back on her homeland they used o say that that brought bad luck. But she thought her life couldn't get any worse, so that was no big deal at the moment.
Seating on the roof of the great fortress, she wished for some miracle to happen and to take her and her children out of that nightmare. She sighed heavily at the thought of having to bare a child right now.
"Feeling depressed I see!" - she looked up and saw the smiling face of Akai.
"Good night Akai!" - she said as she sank her head once more on her arms.
"What happened this time?" - he asked as he sat next to her.
"Nothing that hasn't occurred to me once before!" - he placed an arm around her back and she put her head against his shoulder.
"I miss her!" - he sighed heavily too.
"Who?"
"My wife! She is almost having the baby! - Memientes smiled.
"She's pregnant?" - he nodded, but his smile faded and so did hers.
"I wanted so badly to be with her right now. To comfort her and be at her side when our child was born. But that is quite impossible at the moment.
**
Memientes remembered when she had her two kids. How mush had she wished to have her love at her side. But he was not there. How could he, when he was so far! After all, it had been her fault that they ever get separated.
**
Memientes put one of her arm around Akai's back and her other hand on his shoulder. That was when he noticed something.
"What's this?" - he put her hand between his and watched a ring that she had. It reminded him of something, something that he couldn't believe to be true. He looked back at her, as if asking where had she got that ring from. Her eyes told him to understand and that was when he noticed from were he knew that face and those eyes. - "It … it can't be!" - as if answering his question she removed her mask and what he saw amazed beyond imagination. - "T-That's impossible!"
HA! I stopped! How could I? Anyway this is not a cliffhanger, because I won't tell you who she is and from where does Akai meet her. Not now, not on the next chapter, just on one of the last chapters. And don't jump on me, because I won't say it! It would blow the whole thing up!
Anyway, please review, please, please …. Please! I beg you!
Save me from disgrace!
See you around!
