Vision Of Escaflowne Fan Fiction ❯ I hate you ... My love .. ❯ The fortress' secret ( Chapter 8 )
Disclaimer: I don't own Escaflowne or any of its original characters that appear on the shows, mangas or movie.
But I do one the characters I created and this story and all that stuff that I am sick tired of saying each and every time I write a new chapter.
OH MY GOD!!!!! How mush time since I last updated this? Doesn't matter! I had my reasons! I think I need a vacation!
I want to thank to those who reviewed and thanks for your support, han and lacy, thank you!
I haven't been having many reviews and I would really appreciate some, but I also know that I suck at this so I don't blame you.
Now read!
I hate you … my love
* Note: Forgive me! On the last chapter I told you that Memientes had took her mask of, but forget that, because I need to talk about the ring first. She will take the mask , just after I talk about the ring. *
"Someone gave it to me!" - she answered, somewhat angered because she could see he was suspecting of her.
"Someone who?" - right now he was thinking that she had stole it. Because there was no way that she could've got that ring from its rightful owner.
"That's none of your business!" - she got up angrily, as if hurt for what he had think of her.
Chapter 8: The fortress' secret!
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get you angry! It's just weird to see it … in you!" - she smirked under his, somewhat, sarcastic words.
"You know nothing about me! And I didn't steel the ring! The owner gave it to me!" - Akai watched her closely as if expecting to see something that proved she was lying, but deep down he knew she was talking the truth.
"That's kind of hard to believe!" - he said as he turned his back on her and watched the stars.
"And who do you think its rightful owner should be?"
"For all I know, Kamatary!" - she laughed out loud.
"Akai! Look at me!" - she called him out and he turned around to see her. She started taking her mask off, mush to his surprised. For all he knew not even Luktor had ever seen her face.
"Oh My God!" - he said as she finished taking her mask off. - "That's impossible!"
"By now, you should know that nothing is impossible!" - he approached her and touched her face, as to make sure that she was real.
"MEN! Are you twins or something!" - he asked, still cherishing her face.
"Do I look like someone's twin?" - she got away from him and put her mask back. - "Don't you dare telling this to anyone!" - he nodded and she silently got back inside.
"That's what I hate about women! They never say everything about themselves!"

Next morning:
A flying ship, with royalty beauty, landed on a field near the Fanelian Palace.
A woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes came down the ship's ramp and looked at her surroundings.
The sun was high up in the sky and she placed her hands over her eyes, to have a better look of the city in front of her.
Fanelia was a beautiful country. The people of this country always looked happy, and they had reasons for it
Not only because Fanelia had become one of the most successful countries in Gaea, but also because their king had finally decided to get married.
"Princess! Welcome to Fanelia!" - a man dressed like the knight that the actually was, stood in front of her, offering to her his arm.
"It's good to be back Sano!" - she said smiling, while taking his arm.
The brown haired man smiled and led her to the castle.
"Eries, what brought you to Fanelia? Not that we don't like your visit, but … you've got to admit it's strange."
"Sano, I came because I received a letter from my sister, telling m that you have a new enemy … and that my nephew saw a woman he had only seen in dreams. So I came!" - Sano smiled and they continued heir way.
Even if she didn't like to show her feelings, anyone could tell that she loved her nephew, Mussume, very mush.

Akai walked to a room, in which he had never been before, even though he knew who was inside, and he knew exactly what he was going to find.
Nothing surprised him as he opened the door, lying on the cold floor was the only person in which he trusted inside that fortress, Memientes.
As many times before, she was now crying. As soon as Luktor left her alone for a while, that was all she did.
He came in and closed the door behind him, not avoiding it from cracking. And even than, she did not move a muscle.
"Hey!"- He called out as he got near her and kneeled by her side. - "I have news!" - she stopped crying and looked up at him. - "I've seen them, and they're okay! They just miss you a lot!" - mush to his surprise she hugged him and started crying on his chest.
Soon he was cherishing her hair, as to calm her down a little.
"I want to see them … but … he doesn't let me! Maboroshi must be so scared! Oh God! Why did this had to happen to me!" - she said between sobs.
Akai couldn't stop some of the tears that fell from his eyes. He just stood there, because he too suffered each and everyday from being away from his family.

Later on. When dawn was already coming:
Memientes sat on the roof of the fortress once more, looking up to the sky, seeing the sun disappearing ever so slowly.
The wild wind that was felt made her hair fly free, just like she when she managed to spread her beautiful white wings.
The beauty of the sunset made her feel better, but soon night would come, and that was not good, no good at all!
She sighed from frustration, anger and loneliness.
Suddenly she stopped!
She had spotted something on the forest.
The fortress was enormous; none on his perfect mind would dare to jump from the roof. But she … she was different … and so she jumped.
As soon as she landed, hard, on the ground, the person who was in the forest stopped dead on his tracks, t«knowing that she was there.
Memientes sheathed her sword and walked to the other side of the road (yes there was a road between the fortress and the forest) step by step, knowing that she was getting closer by the minute.
"Who's there" - and soon she heard hurried footsteps. Whoever he was, he was trying to escape.
She ran faster than any normal human would, and soon she reached for a small person, whose face was hidden by the darkness of the forest. The person fell to the ground, and Memientes was surprised when he started crying, and she realised he was just a child.
"Hey you!" - she called out, as she got near him. he stepped back a little. - "Who are you? And what are you doing here, away from everything? Where are your parents?" - the child who was about 4 / 5 years old, stopped crying and got up from the ground.
"I was trying to find a hideout. My name's Sastu, lady! What's yours?" - she smiled at him and put back her sword.
"My name's Memientes! And you should not be here! It's a very dangerous place!" - he smiled back ate her. - "Go home please! Before you get hurt!"
"Thank you!" - he said before he started running into the forest that leaded to Fanelia's capital.
"Weird child!" - she said as she turned back to the fortress. Than something hit her mind! He reminded her so mush of Ureshiu … but could it be? Nevertheless, there was no way he could've found out their fortress.
As she reached to the end of the forest, she saw the same road from before, but the fortress was not there.
Only rocks and a great ravine stand on the other side of the road.
She did not stop. She crossed the road, and anyone would've seen her going straight to the rocks, but would also see her disappearing as soon as she reached it.
The rocks and the ravine, were not more than mere camouflage, and hologram that was why never anyone suspected of anything.
Luktor was smart, smarter than she had ever wished him to be!
HERE is another chapter! FINALLY!
Does anyone read my stories, because it looks like not! If you are reading this, please … please let a review, say anything … anything, but tell me something.
Thank you!
