I hate you … my love
"Please, I beg you to wait a little longer! Ask your council to give some more time, I'm sure you'll find the right person!" - Van eyed her suspiciously.
"You talk like if you already knew that person!"
"Unfortunately I don't, but I'm sure she'll come soon!"
"I'm sorry Eries! But I gave my word that I would marry, and that's what I shall do!" - she nodded sadly and directed her gaze to the floor.
"I understand!" -Van walked up to her, and took her arm.
"Lets go Princess! It's getting late!"
Van leaded her back to her room and went back to his. But he was really suspicious of her. He would make sure to have one soldier watching her every move.
Chapter 10: "How does it feel to know that this is all your fault?" _Memientes_
"THEY WERE WAITING FOR YOU AGAIN?!? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" - Luktor yelled through the communicator.
"I have no idea! Maybe we have a traitor among us!" - Memientes sighed at the thought of how enraged Luktor would be when this was over. She was going to have a long night.
"I HAVE NO SPIES! I myself take care of that all the time!" - she shivered under his arch words. What did he meant by saying that. Hell, she had to find out!
"I don't have time for this! I'm being attacked by five Guymelefs! I need to concentrate on the battle!" - she yelled, while she blocked the swords of three other Guymelefs.
"DON'T EVER SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT, BITCH!" - he yelled back - "I still have your children! Remember?" - her heart seemed to stop when he mentioned them. Her dear children. Her life. Her whole.
The tears came to her eyes and she didn't even tried to stop them this time.
"Yes, I remember! I'll never yell at you again … I promise!" - she said in a low voice, while cutting two Guymelefs in half, and mutilating another one. (I mean cutting his legs and arms)
"Good! That was all I needed to hear! Come back when you're finished!" - the communication ended
"Why? Why God! Why is my live a living hell?" - she asked between tears.

"Van, how's everything over there?" - Zardus voice came to Escaflowne
"Not good! But not too bad either! Have you found the fortress already?" - Van asked while blocking several attacks directed to him (his Guymelef to be more precise)
"Nop! But we still haven't reached the spot Satsu mentioned!"
"Warn me if you ever reach it! I mean ... see it!"
"OK!" - the cockpit was silent again. Eventually you would hear Van cursing under his breath, or crying from pain. But there was something you'd notice for sure, if you ever seated on Escaflowne's cockpit and that would be a small photo, where a young teenage girl laughed to a small little animal, which on Earth was usually called Dog.

"Shoot!" - Zardus cursed and they waked through the Dense Mystic Forest. When I say dense, I mean it! - "Shoot, shoot, shoot and more shoot! Why didn't they get somewhere else? Why didn't haven't they done their fortress on an open area!" - Zardus asked to no one in particular, as he tried not to attract unnecessary attention to his group of Guymelefs.
"Yeah right! That would be the same as if they did it on the Palace and then came and said 'Hey, where here and I'm gonna kill the King! Is anybody going to try and stop me?' Duh! It's obvious man!" - Chris said, also angered because her Guymelef was going to be all full of scratches when they get back to the Palace.
"I'm happy Hitomi could predict this attack too! Or we'd be in great trouble!" - Ureshiu sighed and continued after the other two.
"Yeah! But she doesn't like those visions! She says it scares her to death! But I known that she would fell responsible if she couldn't predict these events." - Zardus said with a heavy sigh, remembering how he had to calm her each time she had a vision
"Well, she shouldn't fell responsible! It's not like it's her duty to know everything!" - Ureshiu breathed heavily, this was tiring.
"Try telling her that!"

A shadow moved through the fortress, with a surprising knowledge of the place. Many had seen themselves lost any times. The fortress was like a labyrinth, from where only the smartest ones got out. And he was a smart one!
As he approached he dungeons, he took a pair of keys he had on his pant's left pocket. The sound of the old keys balancing in his hands, echoed through the empty dungeons, until it reached the last cell.
The man wearing a dark cloak leaned against the bars of the cell. With the lack of light in there, he could see two silhouettes.
"Hello there! If it isn't sweet Maboroshi and the smart guy … Hume!" - he spat out sarcastically. The little girl hugged her brother closely, afraid that the mean man would harm them. - "Would you like to go out and see the sight?" - his words were genuine, but yet Hume could see that he was up to something.
Luktor putted the keys on the keyhole and open the 'cage'. He waited for some seconds. Seeing that the kids were reluctant e added. - "This is the last chance I'll give you to see the sun! Now come out!" - they knew better then to disobey him, so they came out
He closed the cell again and ordered them to follow him.
They walked for five minutes, until they reached an elevator. They fallowed Luktor inside, and he pressed the top button, the last floor. In two minutes they were up there already. The doors opened, revealing the shining sun. Hume and Maboroshi had to shield their eyes, because they were not used to so much light anymore.
"Come on! Don't stay in there!" - Luktor commanded and they followed. They were on the top of he fortress. It was a beautiful shiny day. There was no cloud in the sky. As soon as their eyes adjusted to the light, Maboroshi started jumping around, saying how everything was so beautiful.
«Where's my mom? I just want my Mom!» - Hume thought to himself as he looked at his surroundings.
"Your mother is dealing some business for me!" - Luktor answered as if he had just read his mind. Hume looked straight at him, and he smiled evilly.
«No shit! He can really read my mind! If that's so! I want to know why haven't my mother came to visit us for over a week!» - he looked at Luktor, just to see his facial expression. It was unreadable.
"She hasn't got any free time to do that, Hume!" - he smirked as he watched Hume's shocked face.
«I hate you! I wish you died and you left us in peace!» - he thought, directing his thoughts to Luktor.
"I love you too, you brat!" - was Luktor's only answer. - "Common you two! Enough is enough! Let's get back inside!" - and both kids knew better than to protest. They fallowed him silently.

"YUKI!" - Hitomi yelled through the corridors of the Palace. Yuki came running as fast as she could, in the state she was (pregnant).
"Where's the fire Hitomi?" - she asked jokingly. But she saw that Hitomi wasn't joking. - "What's wrong?"
"I saw it Yuki! You've got to stop her! S-she's …" - Hitomi grabbed Yuki's shoulders and started crying.
"Calm down"! Tel me what you saw!" - Yuki asked very worried for her friend. She almost had a heart attack the last time she had a vision.
"She's going to kill Van! I saw it Yuki! You've got to stop her!" - Hitomi said between sobs.
"She who? Who are you talking about Hitomi?"
"The woman on the Red Guymelef! Please don't let her do that Yuki!" - Yuki nodded and went to the front door, where she opened her white wings, flying to where they were battling. Hoping to get in time.

"Finally! WOW! Satsu was right! And the bitch is huge!" - Zardus said as they watched the humongous fortress that has always been under their nose. (And the bitch was the fortress, by the way!)
"Soooooo! Where do we start Zardus?" - Ureshiu asked as they looked around the place. It looked deserted.
"First floor! Let's just hope we're lucky and we catch the bastard all alone and defenceless." - Zardus added in a girly voice. - "Help, help! I'm just a defenceless man, I barely can hold a sword for two seconds!" - Chris and Ureshiu laughed at this, but they knew they had serious business to deal with.
"At three we start running towards it, as fast as we can! Okay!" - he saw them nod. They were now out of their Guymelefs because if they were to come in with the Guymelef they would immediately be found. - "Good. Ready? … Three!" - the three ran to the fortress and they broke the door open, without a big commotion. They immediately saw that they had two choices.
They could go ahead, or they could take the stairs that seemed to lead to a lower level. They exchanged looks and decide to take the stairs.
The stairs seemed never to end, and they sighed when they finally got to the next floor. It seemed like a dungeon, it even smelled like a dungeon. And it seemed desert too.
"Well, here goes nothing!" - Zardus said, before breathing in deeply. - "Is anybody in here?" - he asked as loud as she could, seeing as that seemed to go for kilometres. His voice echoed through every cell and after some moments they hadn't heard anything.
"Maybe there's no one in here!" - Ureshiu said as she prepared to climb up the stairs again.
"Strange!" - Zardus said and prepared to follow her.
"SH! Didn't you hear?" - Chris asked as she placed a hand behind her hear to try and listen better.
"Hear what? It's so silent in here!" - Zardus said already on the first stair
"Just shut up! I'm sure I heard something! I'm going in!" - and with that she started running through the infinite dungeons.
"She's gotta be crazy!" - they decide to fallow her just in case.
They ran for about two minutes and when they spotted Chris on the distance, they stopped and tried to catch up their breath. They noticed that they were at the end of it. On the last group of cells.
"See Chris? There's nothing in here!" - Zardus said between gasps.
"You call this nothing?" - she asked as she aimed at the last cell. There they could see two children inside.
"Oh My GOD!" - Ureshiu almost yelled. - "What are these children doing in here all alone?"
"There's no time for that! ZARDUS!" - Chris yelled as she and Ureshiu walked back from the cell.
"I know, I know!" - He unsheathed his sword and with one smooth move he sliced the bars as if they were butter.
The two children ran to Chris who hugged them and said that everything was going to be fine. They both seemed to be 5 or 6 years old.
At that same time, they heard the alarm.
"No shit! We've got to get the hell out of here!" - he pressed a button on his clock and they waited. Soon enough, the wall was broken down and from it appeared Zardus Guymelef. "Let's get the Hell outta here! NOW!" - Zardus climbed to the cockpit and the four other got on the hands of it, just when the guards started to arrive.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" - one of the many guards yelled.
"Yeah right! As if I was stupid enough to do that! Bye Jerks!" - and they left.
Zardus took Chris and Ureshiu to their respective Guymelefs and they all left to Fanelia, before the others could even thing about following them.

Memientes was with all the advantage in battle, as usual. She was tired of fighting amateurs, so she searched for a good prey, and it wasn't hard to find. The 'Lost Hope', Kamatary's Guymelef.
A big grin appeared on Memientes face. «I'm gonna get my revenge sooner that I thought!»
She defeated the two Guymelefs that were attacking her, and ran towards Lost Hope.
Kamatary saw her comming and blocked her first attack. - "So you're the girl that everyone fears? Might as well tell you that I'm not afraid of anything!" - she yelled as she threw Memientes sword back.
"Might as well tell you … that I'm not afraid of you! You rootless bitch! I'M SO GONNA KILL YOU!" - Memientes attacked her furiously. Kamatary couldn't tell from where all that hate came from. Her voice seemed familiar, but she couldn't tell from where she had heard it.
"MEMIENTES!" - Luktor yelled through the communicator.
"Yes Luktor!" - she asked, breathing hard from attacking Kamatary.
"Get back to the fortress! They are attacking us, while all our Guymelefs are in battle! NOW!" - he was angry. Very angry. And she knew that she was going to e the one to restrain his fury, by taking it all on her body.
"Please! I'm fighting Kamatary and I'm winning! Let me at least finish this one!" - she begged him.
"OK! But hurry up!"
"Understood!" - and his voice faded once again. - "Let's just finish this soon KAMATARY NIGERO!" - Kamy's eyes wined up in surprise. She new this voice. She knew it all too well, but it couldn't be.
"No! You're not real! No, no!" - Kamatary started to desperate and her sword fell to the ground.
"Oh, yes! It's me SISTER! And know I want you to tell me: How does it feel to know that this is all you FAULT?" (That sister was a sarcastic word, they are not sisters. They're much more than that … just wait and see!) - "And now … YOU DIE!" - Memientes launched a final attack towards her, but it never got there. Se was soon with her butt on the ground. She looked up and found an all too familiar Guymelef. - "Van! DON'T GET BETWEEN ME AND MY BUSINESS! GET THE HELL OFF IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!" - She spat angrily. Was she really suggesting that she wasn't going to kill him? Nah! That wasn't possible, was it?
"I protect my friends! But I'm sure you don't now what that is, now do you?" - she wanted so badly to kill him. She didn't think twice before attacking him without mercy. Kamatary just watched, unable to move.
Soon Van saw himself being defeated once again. This woman seemed to know each of his moves, his tactics, and his experience. He was soon on he ground, without his sword to protect him.
"And now what? All mighty King of Fanelia! And don't take this too personally, but … I have to kill you!" - right when she was ready to give him the last blast, Luktor's voice sounded again.
"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU! WE NEED YOU HERE AND NOW! THEY'VE TAKEN YOUR CHILDREN, SO JUST GET YOUR FILTHY BUTT IN HERE!" - her eyes became white, her skin blue, and her mind screamed for revenge.
"You … YOU HARMED MY CHILDREN … YOU'RE SO DEAD!" - and her sword came down, ready to decapitate Escaflowne and consequently Van.
"STOP!" - Memientes stopped her sword, millimetres before it hit Yuki. «Oh my God! I almost killed her! Oh shit, oh shit!» Memientes thought. Escaflowne's cockpit opened and Van came to hug Yuki
"What are you doing here? Are you crazy? You could die!" - Yuki started crying on his shoulder and he calmed down.
"I thought you were going to die!" - Yuki said between tears.
Finally Memientes noticed Yuki's state. She was pregnant, probably almost giving birth, because her belly was huge already. Seeing her hugging Van, made her mind come up with a stupid solution «He got her pregnant! I can't believe this shit! Now I'm gonna kill them both!»
Memientes lifted her sword above her head and prepared to strike.
"I'M WAITING! I TOLD YOU TO COME IMMEDIATELY! NOW!" - well, that was really a perfect timing. Memientes swallowed hard and returned to the fortress. Leaving a crying Yuki on Van's arms, and a Dumbfounded Kamatary, thinking that this was all her fault.
YATTA! A new chapter, finally! After a month, you got a four pages chapter! I know it's not much! But I'm so sleepy and tomorrow Ill have to write for my two other stories. Beside I'm thinking about writing fanfics to Card Captor Sakura, but only after I finish at least one of my Escaflowne's fanfics. I swear I'll try to write faster. Of course a bunch of REVIEWS would help a lot … but.
Well, I hope you enjoyed and sorry for the grammar mistakes and all the cursing. In real live I actually don't speak like that, not at all. I swear!
Bye
