Hi there! Almost two weeks since my last update! It's not too much for a writer like myself! I'm a disgrace for the writers' corporation! I'm sorry! I wanted so much to at least update every week, but I can't.

Well, this fanfics is almost in the end. Two or three more chapters, and I'm done with it. Truth is that my first though was to kill Memientes, and that only would make the story allot bigger (and I really mean a lot), but seeing as not many people are reading this, I'll make it short and sweet.

If, by any chance, you want it to be longer, or for me to kill her, tell me and I'll think bout it, ok? But, then, it will make the stories have at least fifteen more chapters. I'm thinking, on the future, to write that final too, but I'd rather not do it now, but I'll do it if you want me too (which I don't think you want!)

- LOVE WITCH, I'm sorry but I cannot put V & H together, she is married, and if there's something I don't like is to break a married couple apart, especially because Hitomi has a boy to take care of. If you like V/H try reading my other two fanfics. (Truth is that I don't think they are so good written, but everyone thinks they are better than this one. I totally disagree if you ask me! But one thing is true, all of them have major mistakes, especially on the first chapters! Gah! I need to revise them all! So much work to do, and so little time!)

Chapter 12: An Ikarunov?

[Last Chapter]

"Well … Goodnight!" - she kissed them both goodnight and left the room.

"Maboroshi, you've got to be more careful! Remember mother said never to reveal dad's name to anyone! Not even to Chris! Let's go to bed now!" - they both climbed up the bed and soon fell asleep. [Last Chapter]

Van rubbed his tired eyes and yawned while he walked up to his chambers. Yuki had given birth to a beautiful boy, an hour ago. It was already one in the morning. That baby sure did take long to come to the world. He yawned again and stopped. He had completely forgot about the two kids Zardus had rescued from the fortress. He opened the door in front of him, not making any noise, so not to wake them up. There, in the bed, illuminated by the light of the two moons outside, stood two sleeping children. He smiled a little and walked in, sitting on a chair nearby the bed. He looked down at the two sleeping and though of how wonderful should it be to have a family.

He saw it every day. All his friends were married and happy. Many of them had their children already. He was the only one who was still single. Truth was that he never loved again, but he knew he had to move on, and that was why he was determined to make everything possible for him to fall in love with his wife. Yes! The one his advisers would choose, because he had not yet decided, and today was his last day. He sighed heavily and rubbed his temples because he had a major headache.

He could now see them both perfectly, the moons shined up in the sky, illuminating their small faces even more.

The little boy, who was on his side of the bed, had jet-black hair, much like his he noticed. His sister, twin sister as he presume, for she was very similar to him, she had also jet-black air, but that reminded him more of Megumi (Kamatary's mother).

The boy was hugging his sister in a very protective way, and Van could see that was the way he always acted. After all, they probably were always alone, having only one another for support.

Van could only think on where their parents could be, and why did they let them in those dungeons alone. Especially why did his enemy need them for? They were only children after all! Right?

Chris had informed him that Memientes was their mother, so he decided to stay there for guard all night.

Meanwhile, at the Palace gardens:

A little boy waited patiently for the arrival of someone. He did not have to wait much longer. Soon a dark shadow was seen on the great walls. The shadow jumped down and walked unnoticed to where he was.

"What are you doing here? Do you know what time it is?" - the shadow was a woman, wearing a black cloak that covered her from head to toe. Yet, her red eyes and purple mask could be seen, as so could her pink lips, which were now forming a frown.

"Needed to talk! You had to be warned!" - Satsu said smiling at her.

"Warned? About what?" - she knelled on the ground, so that they were in the same eye level.

"Luktor can read minds! Especially yours! He is an Ikarunov [A God among Healyes, he can not only heal, as he can also read minds. Especially of the Healyes. Normal human become more difficult to read!], that was why I needed to talk to you! I know what you are planning, and he does too!" - he could see that she was not surprised, but petrified.

"No wonder that bastard knew all I did before I even tried! Ups! Sorry for that!" - he smiled and she smiled back. - "But … how did you know all that?" - she asked suspiciously.

"Easy! He is my father after all!" - Bang! Did she really hear what she thinks she did?

"What?"

"My dad! Mother was in love with him and so she ran away from the Palace, but when she found out what he pretended to do she came back! She never told me about it, but as soon as I found out I could read minds, it was way easy!" - he smiled widely. But she remained surprised.

"Hugh!" - she snapped out of it. - "So I suppose you were the one who found the location of the fortress and that told V- … I mean the king, when to attack!" - he nodded his head yes and she smiled. - "Smart little boy!" - she patted his head and he laughed a little.

"You should leave them here, you know?" - she got up and looked down at him with cold eyes. - "They are a lot safer here than in the fortress! I now who the spies are, and I can protect them if you want. Chris won't mind either! I know you trust her! Or even Eries! What do you say?" - he asked in a pleading tone. She couldn't help but smile.

"Maybe your right! After all you can read minds!" - he jumped in her arms, and she opened her wings. She flew up, into one of the many balconies, the one Satsu indicated as being the right one.

Inside the room:

Van kept awake, although barely. Because he was way too tired. He knew that soon enough he would fall asleep. He yawned once again and outstretched his arms up.

He heard a noise outside, in the balcony, and soon enough he had a hold on his sword. He saw someone's silhouette outside and tensed up. He started unsheathing his sword, when the first figure came inside the room. (The windows were open). His eyes widened up in surprise, when he saw Satsu.

"Satsu? What are you doing here? At this time of the night?" - he asked not too loud, as to not awake the sleeping children. And that was when a second person came in. - "You? What are you doing here?" - he asked, unsheathing his sword completely.

"I think you know the answer for that one! You are smart enough for that!" - Her cloak was now down, and one could see her masked face perfectly, along with her long curly black hair. Van though she reminded him very much of Megumi (Kamatary's mother)

"You are not taking them! Have you even seen where they were kept? Like wild animals! How could you even leave them there? Have you no heart?" - he asked coldly and walking closer to her, ready to attack.

"Do not speak of something you do fully understand! If you think I liked to see them in there, you are very wrong. It killed me every day, because I knew what they were going through, but there was nothing I could do, except fallow his orders! And his orders were to kill you all!" - her tensed when she finished that last sentence. She was really skilled, if they were to fight right now, she would surely win.

"I convinced her to let them stay! But only I can tell who enters and who doesn't, until the war is over!" - Satsu said, and yawned. He was sure sleepy.

"What do you mean?" - Van asked, putting back his sword, seeing as she was not going to attack him.

"There are spies in your Palace! Luktor has more influence over people than you can ever imagine. I do not know who they are, but Satsu does, that is why he decides who can and who cannot see them. That or I'll take them back!" - she added coldly.

"I cannot let you do that! Ok, Satsu says who comes and who doesn't!" - he could swear he had seen a smile in her lips, but he wasn't sure.

She walked up to the other side of the bed and smiled down at her babies. She rubbed a hand over their faces and they smiled a little. Van couldn't help but smile too.

"This war! It will end up soon!" - she said. - "Be prepared to receive visits on tomorrow, or maybe the next day!" - she sat up on the edge of the bed and continued to look down at the children.

"What do you mean?" - Van asked, also sitting down, on the other side of the bed.

"Luktor uses a very efficient way of persuading people! He threatens everything we most love and cherish! We found out, that he does that to everyone! Not one single person is with him on their one free will. And so, we are preparing a surprise attack. Killing him will free us all! Satsu just told me something that will change thinks completely, so it could take a day more or so!" - she kissed Hume and Mabaroshi's cheek and then got up. She took something from her pocket and gave it to Van.

"What's this?" - Van asked when he had the envelope in his hands.

"A letter to Yuki! It's from Akai!" - Van's eyes widened up in surprise and happiness. - "He is there with me, and will be returning soon. Is Yuki aright?" - she remembered the event from earlier that day, when she almost killed her. Akai only told her today that Yuki was his wife.

"Yes! She had the baby two hours ago! It's a very healthy boy!" - she smiled. She prepared to leave, but Van asked her something first. - "Kamy looked really frightened today! I had never seen her like that! What was it that you did?"

"I did nothing! She just noticed whom she was fighting against. She though she could get rid of me so easily as to drop me back on Earth, but I'm not stupid, nor worthless! She will pay for what she did to me! One of this days …" - Memientes said coldly.

"Let me tell you, I will never let you hurt her!" - Van said, getting up.

"Dear Van! You have the right to know, that Kamatary Nigero is not who you think she is! She is nothing more than a worthless bitch, a scrupulous person who thinks only in herself, caring nothing about others!" - she paused for a little, and she could see hate and surprise mixed with confusion in Van's eyes. - "Why don't you ask her where have we met? I'm sure she will be petrified and scared that you beat the Hell out off her. Which, by the way, would be my pleasure!" - she added smiling.

"I don't understand!" - Van said confused.

"Have you ever questioned her about her life on Earth, after she got engaged to you?" - Van's eyes widened up.

"How?" - Van was out of words.

"How do I know? Well that's quite easy, but I will not be the one to tell you! After all, if she hadn't bee a little bitchy like she was, you would've known everything since the day she returned, two years ago! You want to know, than ask her!" - Van remained silent and she turned to Satsu. - "Sorry for all that! I forgot there were children in here!" - he smiled and hugged her. - "Tell Hume and Maboroshi that they can search for their father and that I want them to stay with him no matter what, got that?" - he nodded and kissed her cheek. She smiled and kissed him goodnight too. She walked to the bed once again and kissed her son and daughter goodnight too.

Than she walked up to where Van was, speechless. - "Take care of them for me Van! You will not regret it!" - he nodded and she left to the balcony, taking flight towards the fortress.

Satsu walked to where Van was and said goodnight, before leaving to his bedroom. Van sat down on the chair and stayed there all night. He had lost all gain of sleep he had.

Thirty minutes later:

Memientes reached the fortress. She landed on the roof, where Luktor awaited, covered in a dark cloak like hers.

"Where are they?" - he asked her.

"They were highly guarded! It would be useless to try rescue them right now!" - she said, not even looking at him - "Can I get some sleep now?"

"Go on! I'll be down in twenty minutes!" - she growled under her breath and reached the elevator button. She walked in and pressed the last button. The doors closed and the elevator went down to the first level.

When she reached it, she got out and instead of walking to her room, she walked towards Akai's. She knocked on the door, and soon his tired face came to view.

"Memientes?" - he asked, now fully awake.

"We have to change plans! Do everything, but do not inform me of anything! Do not think of it while you are close to Luktor, for he can read minds, especially mine! Yuki had the baby two hours ago, a boy! Goodnight!" - she said that all in one breath and then walked off. Probably afraid that Luktor would catch her in his room at this time of night.

It took a while for Akai to get everything she said, but when he did a big smile formed in his lips. He walked inside his room and closed the door. In two seconds, you could hear a big 'YUPPIE' coming from inside.

YUPPIE! I'm done with another chapter! I know it's not big, but it's not really short either, is it? (Don't answer that! :p)

I'm happy! It's the first time in months that, in the same weekend, I write one chapter for two of my fanfics. Wish it was like this every week! I'll try harder, I swear!
