Vision Of Escaflowne Fan Fiction ❯ Love Affair ❯ Visitor Confrontations and Promises ( Chapter 5 )
Chapter 5
Hitomi sat in her room, upon the silk white sheets of the large canopy bed. A guard stood outside her door. She felt like a prisoner. She hadn't really done anything wrong… unless you count going out in the middle of the night for a run, encountering your enemy, sleeping with him, and then coming back two days later as something wrong. Then you would totally be right about keeping her locked in her room for who knows how long. It had been a day since she had returned. When she came back with Van, she had been bombarded with questions just as Van had done when he saw her. The slight interrogation had ended up with a check-up from Millerna, their only doctor for the moment. Hitomi had to thank the gods that they didn't do a PAP test where she was or else there would be some major questioning.
Millerna had found the slight bruising on her abdomen and a bit of chafing on her inner thighs but that was basically it. She mentioned the abdominal bruising to the guys… she kept the chafing to herself. Of course, she had given Hitomi a curious look when she had discovered it but she asked no questions… not at the moment anyway. Hitomi was just waiting for the moment when-
"Hitomi! Can I talk to you for a second?" Millerna poked her head through the door.
`Speak of the devil…' Hitomi swung her legs over the side of the bed and smiled warmly, "Sure, come in."
Millerna stepped into the room and ambled casually over to Hitomi, plopping down rather gracefully onto the inviting bed. "So, Hitomi… what's going on?"
`Oh crap…' Hitomi stood up and sat in the window seat looking out over the gardens, "Nothing… I've just been sitting here all day. If I go anywhere, that guard follows me so I can't stay anywhere by myself unless someone is with me."
Millerna sighed in exasperation. "Cut the crap Hitomi. What happened while you were gone and don't give me that bullshit answer that you've been telling everyone else. You may have been placed in a dungeon and slapped around a little bit but something else did happen. I saw your thighs and I know how that happens."
"It's none of your concern!" Hitomi snapped, looking back at Millerna.
Millerna stood up and walked to Hitomi's side, matching the glare Hitomi was giving her, "Fine! But tell me one thing: Did he force himself on you?"
"What?" Hitomi looked practically shocked. A memory of his fingers playing against her skin flashed through her mind and she looked back out the window, "Millerna… can you keep a secret?"
Millerna kneeled at the girl's side, prepared to listen to this girl's story, "Shoot."
Hitomi leaned her head back against the wall behind her and closed her eyes, reliving her precious moments with Dilandau, "I don't know what happened… Before I was taken, I started to have these dreams, these nightmares, with Dilandau. He haunted me at night. The dreams grew more intense and… passionate with each passing day. It would always be the two of us, together, alone and deeply immersed within each other. The night I went missing, I had the most vivid dream yet and I… in my dream, I… I told him that I loved him…" Hitomi looked back out across the green grass of the gardens, desperately wishing she could be down there by herself.
"I woke up, sweating, breathing hard and my heart was beating so fast… I was afraid of what else I might see in my dream so I went for a run. I got lost in the woods and I bumped into Dilandau. That's where my initial beating took place. I tried to resist him but he overpowered me, knocked me out and brought me back to the Vione. I woke up in his bed. He wasn't there so I took a shower and when I came out he… he…" Hitomi curled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, "He touched me… he touched me in a way no one else ever had… but he stopped and stormed out of the room."
She sighed and let her head rest upon her knees, "I cried… when he left I cried and I went to his bed and curled up under the sheets and cried. I don't even know how things happened later because I remember him crawling in next to me and then I fell asleep and had another dream. But I can't remember that one… it's so strange because I woke up in the same state I had when I was here but I injured my stomach some more, so I hunched over. Dilandau woke up…" She rubbed her temples recalling the night clearly, "He started to massage the injury and it felt better. We were talking and somehow he ended up asking me if I wanted to…"
Hitomi blushed slightly at the memory. `I can't believe I bought his bullshit pick-up line!'
Millerna smirked, "Why, Hitomi? I do believe that you are blushing!"
"Hey! I'm am not!"
"Okay, whatever! But I can guess what happened after that but was it consensual? Did he hurt you?" Even though Hitomi and Millerna weren't that close, she still cared for her as a sister. Of course they went through that whole Allen thing but now Millerna was with Dryden and it seemed to be going pretty well. Allen was just too much of a pretty boy! A nice pretty boy, but still a pretty boy. He was one of the guys that you had a crush on, and once you kissed him, you got over him and moved on! That's what happened with Hitomi and that's what happened with Millerna. And now, they were both after someone else.
"Millerna… have you ever… I mean… with Dryden?"
Millerna was taken aback, "Well… um… yes… a couple times…" It was her turn to blush.
"Was he your first?"
"Yes… oh… I understand…" Millerna sighed. First timers are always supposed to hurt, "Was he gentle?"
"Odd as it may sound… he was very gentle with me… he treated me like a delicate flower… at least for the first time…"
"WHAT? Gods, Hitomi! How many times did you go at it?" Millerna was shocked. `So much for the good girl appearance…'
Hitomi smiled and started tugging at the corner of her skirt, "Well… I'm not entirely sure… We went practically… all night… and then in the shower the next day…"
"So, Hitomi? How was he?" Millerna lifted her eyebrows and looked at Hitomi.
"Well…" Hitomi couldn't stop the blush that rose on her face, "Let's just say, I can't say that I've ever screamed that much in my life compared to that one night…"
"Wow… Your such a freak…"
"ME? A freak? Why would you even think a thing like that?" Hitomi giggled and soon both girls were sprawled on the floor in fits of laughter.
"Hitomi?"
"Mmmm?"
"How do you feel about him?"
Hitomi closed her eyes, "I don't know… I don't even know him and he's also the enemy…"
"Is he? Have you ever tried to find out what it was he was fighting for? Or for that matter, what it is we fight for?"
`That is a very good question…' Hitomi rolled onto her side and faced Millerna, "I thought that we were fighting to stop Zaibach from destroying Gaea? Isn't that right?"
Millerna nodded, "That's true. But do you know why Zaibach fights us? They don't believe that they will cause the destruction of our world. They just want people to be happy but if everyone got what they wanted, then the end is imminent. We just have to show them that what we say is true. Think about it." Millerna stood and walked over to the door, "And Hitomi? Don't worry; your secret is safe with me. See you during dinner."
"Bye…" Hitomi called out after her newfound sister.
The door closed with a slight click and Hitomi once again she found herself sprawled on the white sheets of her bed.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk… Hitomi's been a naughty girl…"
She shot straight up and looked at the source of that very familiar voice, "Merle!"
The cat girl flipped into the room through the open window, landing gracefully on her feet, "Hey Hitomi… did you really… you know? With Dilandau?"
Hitomi sighed and curled into a ball on her bed, "Yes…" she whispered softly.
"Why?"
"I… I really don't know…" Hitomi sat up and looked at the girl, now poised on the edge of the bed. Merle's pink hair slightly covered her eyes as a slightly worried expression crossed her features, "Please don't tell Van." Hitomi jumped up and leaped at the cat girl and they tumbled off the side of the bed with a graceful "Oof!"
"Hitomi! He has to know! You know how he feels about you… especially after you kissed Allen on the bridge. After that, he changed so much." Merle pushed Hitomi off of her and stood up by the window.
"Please, Merle… Things would just get worse if he knew and it's not as if Dilandau and I will ever… do that again… I mean, the next time we meet, we'll be enemies again." Hitomi sat up on the floor and rubbed the inside of her thighs. She felt so sore and it had already been two days. It hurt to walk and that's another reason why she hung in her room so much lately. She would probably be running despite her guard but she was fast, and she could ditch him if she wanted to.
Merle didn't miss the action and smirked slightly, "So, Hitomi…" She wiggled her eyebrows a little bit, asking the silent question.
"Oh yeah… It's definitely all it's cracked up to be!" Hitomi giggled slightly, a small blush coating her cheeks in a pink tint.
Merle sighed, a grin on her face, "Okay, Hitomi… I'll keep your secret but just promise me that you won't hurt Lord Van…"
"I don't know Merle… as long as he doesn't find out, that's the only way that he won't get hurt."
"I'm not so sure about that…"
"What do you mean?"
"You'll find out…" Merle hopped out the window leaving Hitomi to muse over her current situation.
`I have a bad feeling about this…"
"Hitomi?" The door opened after a knock and Van popped his head through the crack, "Can we talk?"
`Me and my goddamn feelings…' Hitomi got up and sat at the window seat once more, "Sure Van… come in…"
