I'm really sorry that this took so long to get out because I was using my school's computer that I had my free time when I didn't have to study or do homework and one day, the computer wouldn't open the files on the disk and the data was totally lost, even through the files were still there. (Sometime after the return of Queen Beryl; In Duel Academy's harbor)

 

It is evening time in Duel Academy and it has been a few days since Queen Beryl returned, which caused our heroes and heroines to become busier than ever. Fearing that Queen Beryl might go after the three Sacred Beast cards, they informed Chancellor Sheppard about the situation and had the keys stored in another location with our heroes and heroines preparing `shifts' to guard the keys to make sure that Queen Beryl doesn't get her hands on the keys and the Sacred Beast cards. On the meanwhile, with aid from the non-brainwashed and recently freed students of Duel Academy, the Society of Light's number continue to weaken and by now, they were down to one-quarter of their original numbers and getting weaker every single day.

 

However, today, we find our Sun Princess and Queen of Obelisk Blue dorm, Alexis Rhodes, standing by the lighthouse in Duel Academy's harbor as she watches over the gently waves and cloud-free star-filled skies above her. After that duel with her `evil twin', Alexis has regained total confident in herself and her abilities. Now, knowing that she can never fall prey to evil again with her friends and new boyfriend, Jaden Yuki, by her side, she has already dueled against four SOL members and beaten them with ease along with a pro duelist as well.

 

Alexis thinks in her mind, “So much has happened during this school year. It only seems like yesterday that Jaden dueled Aster with that `slap together' deck of his and now, we are closer to finishing off the Society of Light and the Light of Destruction. Even through I don't remember much of what happened during my time in the Society, thanks to that brainwashing freak, it just seems like an eternity as passed. It starts out like a normal year and then Jaden loses his ability to see his cards, thanks to Light of the Destruction possessing Sartorius, he gains some new outer space Duel Monsters, the Neo-Spacians, Chazz is brainwashed by Sartorius, Chazz defeats me and I join that rotten Society . . .” Alexis shutters at that memory and she thinks then, “During that time I was brainwashed, Serena and the Sailor Scouts arrive here since Ami and Hotaru were brainwashed by Sartorius, with Jaden's help, Serena gets Ami and Hotaru back, Blair gets transformed into a teenager after she is brainwashed, then I `wake up' to find that Jaden is the reincarnation of an alien prince from a kingdom on the moon millennia ago and that Serena, who is Sailor Moon, the legendary leader of the heroes of Juuban, the Sailor Scouts, is his sister, and finally, as the cherry on top, I find out that I was Jaden's girlfriend back in the Silver Millennium, a princess of my own kingdom, and I'm the leader of my own team of Sailor Scouts, which include my best friends, Jasmine and Mindy! I'm not sure if I can handle all of this, including my new responsibility of leading my own team of super-powered heroines, but I'm sure with Jaden and the others, I can handle it!”

 

Just then a familiar male voice calls out, “Hey, `Lex, what's up?” Alexis turns to see her new boyfriend and our Moon Prince, Jaden Yuki, walking towards her.

 

Alexis asks Jaden, perplexed, “Jaden, what are you doing up in this hour? Should you be preparing for the next day of the tournament?”

 

Jaden tells Alexis, excitedly, “No way! I'm too excited about what's going to happen next! I can't wait to get out there and get my game on!”

Alexis tells Jaden, with a smile, “Thank you, Jaden.”

Alexis replies, with a smile, “What do you mean `for what' Jaden? For practically everything that you and the others did for me! Saving me from Sartorius' mind-control and helping me get over my fears about falling under his control again! You and Serena risked falling under the Light of Destruction's mind-control for Chazz and me.”

 

Jaden tells Alexis, in a plain and caring tone, “Chazz is my friend, Alexis, and I never abandoned my friends. And Serena would always help those in need. She is Sailor Moon after all. The first female SOL member had only one Dark Witch (1800/1700) in defense mode, no face-down cards, and two cards in her hand while the second SOL member had no monsters on the field, two face-down cards, and only one card in her hand. However, it is the second SOL member's turn and she draws one card from her deck.

 

The second female SOL yells out, “All right, nonbelievers, it is my move!” The female SOL yells out, “I reveal my face-down card! Blood Note!” The female SOL member's face-down card is revealed to be the Blood Note spell card.

 

Jaden asks, perplexed, “What is that?”

 

The second female SOL member replies, with an evil sly grin, “This card allows me to summon one `Plasma Token' for every four monster levels on your and that wrench's side of the field! Since you have a total of twelve monster levels on your side of the field, thanks to that level seven and level five monster, I get three Plasma Tokens!” Just then three Plasma Tokens (0/0) appears on the female Society of Light's member's side of the field! The second female SOL yells out, in a serious tone, “Next, I sacrifice all three tokens to summon my ultimate monster! A gift from Sartorius-sama!” Soon after, all three Plasma Tokens vanish from the field as she puts one card on her duel disk.

 

Alexis says, groaning in annoyance, “Oh, great.”

 

Jaden nods his head in agreement and states, annoyed, “No kidding.”

 

The second female SOL exclaims, “Meet my White Flare Dragon!” Soon after, a burst of white flames appears in front of the SOL member and that white flame transforms into a huge Asian-like dragon with white scales, golden eyes, and blue whiskers attached to his nose. This new monster, White Flare Dragon, has 3500/3000 stats and is a ten-star monster!

 

Alexis exclaims, shocked, “What in the world is that?!”

 

The second female SOL states, with a sly evil smirk, “The Society's most powerful monster, yet! Our White Flare Dragon! This card can only be summoned by three sacrifices and when it attacks, if it destroys a monster in battle, you lose the value of its defense power! Plus, by sacrificing one card on our side of the field, it can't be destroyed in battle!”

 

Jaden says, amazed, “Wow, that's pretty sweet! Sartorius might be evil wacko, but he really knows to create monsters!”

 

The second female SOL says, with a evil grin while putting in a card in the spell/trap slots, “If you think that's impressive, wait until I activate this! I believe that you remember White Veil!” Just then a White Flare Dragon gives a bright white glow as White Veil is equipped to it.

 

Alexis shouts out, “I don't think so! I reveal my face-down card! Curse of the Forbidden Seal!” Alexis pushes a button on her duel disk and her face-down card is revealed to be the Curse of the Forbidden Seal trap card and Alexis says, with a sly grin, “Sorry, girls, but after I discard one spell card from my hand, your rotten White Veil is toast!” Alexis discards her Allegro Tool spell card to the graveyard and White Veil's hologram shatters as it is destroyed. Alexis then says, with a sly grin, “Plus, my trap also another nasty effect: You can't use the spell card with the same name as the one that I destroyed! Namely, your White Veil is totally useless to you for the rest of the duel!”

 

The two female SOL members gasp in shock and Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “Way to go, Alexis! Excellent counter!”

 

The second female SOL member yells out, “You'll pay for that, bitch! White Flare Dragon, destroy her Cyber Angel Benten!” White Flare Dragon launches a surge of white heat energy right Alexis' monster.

 

Jaden calls out, “I don't think so, ladies! I play my Hero Barrier!” Jaden pushes a button on his duel disk and his face-down card is revealed to be the Hero Barrier trap card. Jaden then says, with a sly grin, “That's too bad! But thanks to my Hero Barrier, as long as I got an Elemental Hero on the field, I can negate one of your attacks and Neos is by my side!” Just then a blue barrier appears in front of Alexis' Benten and protects her from White Flare Dragon's assault.

 

The second female SOL student says, angrily, “Just go!”

 

Alexis tells Jaden, with a smile, “Thanks, Jaden!”

 

Jaden tells Alexis, “We're a team, Alexis! And we always fight together!” Alexis nods her head in agreement with her boyfriend/lover. On the meanwhile, Jaden draws one card from his deck, looks at the cards in his deck, and says, “Sweet!” Jaden then calls out, “First, I switch Neos from defense to attack mode!” Elemental Hero Neos switches from attack to defense mode, Jaden's field spell slot opens, he puts a card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play my Neo Space Two: Silver Millennium Kingdom!” Just then the field transforms into a field of white roses with the Moon Kingdom behind Alexis and Jaden and the aurora covered skies and Jaden says, “This card gives my Neos an additional one thousand attack points!” Elemental Hero Neos' stats rise from 2500/2000 to 3500/2000!

 

The first female SOL member states, annoyed, “So, what? He is only as powerful as our dragon!”

 

Jaden tells the female SOL members, with a sly grin, “For now, anyway!” Jaden puts one card into the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Trap Booster! By discarding one card from my hand, I can play one trap card in my hand!” Jaden discards one card from his hand, plays one card in his hand in the spell/trap slots, and says, when a trap card having a picture of Elemental Hero Bladedge getting infused with energy from a monster spirit coming from a grave, “Next, I play my Spirit Unity trap card! This card activates when I have an Elemental Hero on the field! Now, I can take the power of one monster in the graveyard and equip it to my monster giving my monster all of that monster's attack and defense power! However, I need to sacrifice half our life-points to do so!” Jaden's and Alexis' life-points are cut in half and Jaden says, “Now, I give my Neos the power of Alexis' Cyber Angel Dakini!” Just then a card from Alexis' graveyard comes out, Cyber Angel Daikin (2700/2400) appears in `spirit form', and fuses with Elemental Hero Neos, raising its stats from 3500/2000 to 6200/4400!

 

The two SOL members gasp out in shock and Alexis says, with a wide grin, “Excellent work, Jaden! Now, you can take out their dragon and the rest of their life-points!”

 

The second SOL member thinks, with a sly grin, “Wrong, wrench! You were a fool to turn on Master Sartorius for this nonbeliever and you will pay when I play my Magic Cylinder trap card and finish you and your precious boyfriend off! Time for both of you to see the light together!”

 

Jaden then says, with a smile, “And don't think that I forgot about that face-down card, ladies!” Jaden puts the final card in his hand in the spell/trap slots and says, “Now, I play my R-Righteous Justice spell card! For every Elemental Hero I have on the field, I can destroy one of your spell and trap cards! So, say goodbye to your face-down!”

 

The second female SOL member gasps as her face-down card is destroyed and she exclaims, stunned, “This can't be happening! Destiny should on our side!”

 

Jaden tells the two female SOL members, “Sorry, girls, but destiny is just a myth and it is time to end this duel!” Jaden shouts out, in a serious tone, “Neos, attack their White Flare Dragon with Cosmic Crush!” Elemental Hero Neos leaps into the air, karate chops White Flare Dragon, and it is destroyed in a huge explosion. The two SOL girls scream out in shock as their dragon is destroyed along with the rest of their life-points.

Jaden calls out, with his usual smile, “That's game!” Soon after, the two SOL girls fall to the ground on their back and go into unconsciousness while all of their GX medals, two medals each, fall down to the ground in front of them.

 

Alexis tells Jaden, with a smile, “Great work, Jaden! You did it!”

 

Jaden tells Alexis, with his usual grin, “No way, `Lex! We did it! Together as a team! I couldn't have won without your Cyber Angel Dakini and you taking out their White Veil with your trap card.”

 

Alexis tells Jaden, with a smile, “Thanks, Jaden.” Soon after, Jaden and Alexis take the four medals from the ground, take two of them each, and Alexis asks, curiously, “Now, what do we do with these former Society members?”

 

Just then a familiar masculine female voice calls out, “Need a hand?” Alexis and Jaden turn to the source of the voice to see Amara, Michelle, Hotaru, and Lita walking up towards them.

 

Jaden replies, his usual smile, “That would be great, Amara. Thanks.”

 

Michelle states, with his usual tone and smile, “It's no problem. You are our prince after all.”

 

Alexis asks them, “By the way, how are you doing?”

 

Hotaru tells Alexis, “Well, Amara-papa took out a pro duelist just recently this morning, Alexis-hime.”

 

Alexis and Jaden gasp in shock and Jaden exclaims, shocked, “Wow! You took out a pro, Amara!”

 

Amara crosses her arms and says, with her usual smile, “Just some guy that thought he was a big shot just because he is a Pro League duelist.” Amara then displays a small handful of GX medals and says, in a plain tone, “Barely had to use my full skills to defeat him.”

 

Lita says, with a smile on her lips, “That duel took less time than one of my best meals to make!”

 

Jaden asks Lita, “Speaking of which, are you going to make that awesome steak dinner?”

 

Lita replies, with a smile on her lips, “Sure!”

 

Alexis giggles and asks Jaden, “Do you always think with your stomach?”

 

Jaden replies, with his usual tone, “Hey, I've got to save the universe and win a lot of duels in this tournament. I need my energy.”

 

Alexis replies, with a wide kind smile on her lips, “I guess so.”

 

Just then a loud familiar male voice calls out, “Jaden! Alexis!” Everyone looks to the source of the voice to see Syrus and Hassleberry run up to them.

 

Jaden asks his best friends, “Hey, guys, what's up?!”

 

Syrus tells Jaden, in a nervous tone, “This is bad! Real bad!”

 

Alexis asks Syrus, “Calm down, Syi! What's going on?!”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, “Well, Sarge, our men and women have made major progress with those Society Dweebs, but some of the Pro Duelists are another story! Some of them were already taken out from the tournament by a few Pros!”

 

Alexis, Jaden, Amara, Michelle, Hotaru, and Lita gasp in shock and Lita says, seriously, “This is bad! If we keep losing duelists to the Pro Duelists, we won't have any left that can defeat the Society of Light expect for us!”

 

Amara says, in a plain tone, “Hopefully, that's all that we will need to defeat them, but it might be a good idea to help them out.”

 

Jaden exclaims, in an excited tone, “Not a problem from me! Let's get going!”

 

Lita tells Jaden and Alexis, “You and Alexis go right ahead! We'll get these girls to the nurse's office!”

 

Jaden asks Lita and the three Outer Scouts, “Are you sure?”

 

Michelle says, with a slight sly smile on her lips, “Of course. Now, off with you lovebirds, we can handle things from here.” Jaden and Alexis blush in embarrassment and head off with Syrus and Tyranno to help their fellow non-brainwashed students against the Pro Duelists.

 

Hotaru tells Michelle, with a rarely seen sly smile, “Oh, Michelle-mama, you can be so mean sometimes.”

 

Lita asks Amara, “Hey, Amara, can you help me with them?”

 

Amara nods her head and replies, “Sure.” Soon enough, Amara and Lita put the two unconscious former SOL members onto their backs and head back to Duel Academy to get them to the medical wing.

 

(Elsewhere on Academy Island; A short time soon after)

 

In another area of Academy, we find an Obelisk Blue student yelling out in shock and surprise as he is covered in dust and smoke from an explosion that sends his GX medal into the air and then a person catches the medal. This person is male with brown hair, bluish-green eyes, small curly black mustache, he has a red formal shirt over a white formal shirt with the numbers 1, 2, and 5 on his red shirt, green bow tie around his neck, black pants, and dark blue sneakers. A group of Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, and Obelisk Blue students nearby watched this person in shock and fear.

 

The male person then says, “One, two, three, now, your GX medal belongs to me.” The male person then looks at the group of fearful Red, Yellow, and Blue students and states, “Four, five, six, and seven, who shall be my next opponent?” The group of Red, Yellow, and Blue take off as if they are running for their lives and the person smoothes his mustache and chortles to himself.

 

One of the Ra Yellow students asks, fearfully, “Who is that guy?!”

 

An Obelisk Blue replies, “He's Mattimatica, a top rank pro duelist! We can't beat him!”

 

A Slifer Red shouts out, in a fearful tone, “If we face him, we will lose our medals for sure and we'll be out of the tournament! Plus, those Society goons can take over! Let's get the hell out of here!”

 

(Within Chancellor Sheppard's Office; Later that day)

 

As Chancellor Sheppard goes over the participate list of the GX tournament, he looks over the records for Jaden Yuki, Serena Tsukino, Syrus Truesdale, Tyranno Hassleberry, Chazz Princeton, Alexis Rhodes, Bastion Misawa, and Sartorius. Sartorius has only one medal under his belt, as you can say, while Syrus has the second lowest with just over one dozen medals, Tyranno Hassleberry has the third lowest with slight over two dozen medals, while Serena, Jaden, Bastion, Alexis, and Chazz have over fifty medals apiece. With Chancellor Sheppard is none other than Doctor Crowler, the former Chancellor of Duel Academy, who was only around temporary to fill in while Sheppard was gone, and Vice-Chancellor Bonaparte.

 

Chancellor Sheppard tells the two of them, “Gentlemen, we have a problem. Only some of our students, namely students like Serena Tsukino, Jaden Yuki, Chazz Princeton, Alexis Rhodes, and Bastion Misawa, are winning against Pro Duelists while the rest of our student body is losing to them.”

 

Crowler says, in a worried tone, “This is trouble. The very reputation of our school is at stake.”

 

Bonaparte says, in his French accent, “We, We, Monsieur. If we don't do anything fast, the school shall be ruined!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks Crowler and Bonaparte, “What do you suggest that we do?”

 

Bonaparte yells out, “I know! We put the pros on a big boat and bid them adieu!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard tells them, solemnly, “But we invited them to this tournament. We can't just send them home.”

 

Bonaparte says, solemnly, “Oh, I see your point, Monsieur.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard tells the two of them, “Well, you two better come up with something or you better be thinking of a new job.”

 

Bonaparte and Crowler shallow a lot of air in nervousness and Crowler yells out, in a bit of a nervous tone, “Just leave everything to me, sir! Come on, Bonaparte!”

 

Bonaparte states, perplexed and confused, “What do you mean?!”

 

Crowler yells out, in a very annoyed tone, “Just come on!” Crowler then takes Bonaparte by the back of the collar and drags him out of the room.

 

On the meanwhile, Chancellor Sheppard looks at the screen at Sartorius' stats and he says to himself, “So, Sartorius, what are your plans now? Ever since this tournament started, you only participated in one duel and it was against Prince Ojin for his satellite. Ever since Serena, Jaden, and Aster got the keys for the satellite controls and they brought Alexis Rhodes and Chazz Princeton from your control, you haven't made a move against Jaden, his friends, or the Sailor Scouts. And now, since they've allied my non-brainwashed students against you, your Society has become weaker and weaker with each passing day. What is it that you are waiting for?!”

 

Just then a female voice calls out, “I may know, sir!” Chancellor Sheppard looks to the source of the voice to see Prince Ojin's female assistance with the reddish-brown hair that goes down one-quarter of her back, brown eyes, large ruby earrings formal pink shirt over a white shirt and black formal tie, pink formal skirt, black see-through stockings, and black high-heeled shoes.

 

Chancellor Sheppard coughs and tells her, “I'm sorry, but I don't usually talk to myself . . .”

 

Prince Ojin's female assistant tells Chancellor Sheppard, “It's okay, sir! My name is Linda and I work for Prince Ojin!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks, a bit surprised, “You do?”

 

Linda tells Chancellor Sheppard, “I do, sir. I know that you know about the Misgarth brainwashing satellite and that the controls to the satellite are in Sartorius' hands! However, now, I need your help!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks Linda, “How may I help?”

 

Linda tells Chancellor Sheppard, in a serious tone, “I know that one of your students, Serena Tsukino, is the legendary hero of Tokyo known as Sailor Moon.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard gasps in shock and he asks Linda, “How did you learn that?”

 

Linda replies, “I had overseen what happened after she and Jaden Yuki fought against their brainwashed friends, Alexis Rhodes and Chazz Princeton. Plus, I saw her as the Moon Princess, Alexis Rhodes as the Sun Princess, and the Jaden Yuki as the Moon Prince. I've knowledge of the legends about the mythical kingdom on the moon, the Moon Prince and Princess, the Earth Prince and Sun Princess, but I've thought they were only legends . . . until now after what I witnessed in that duel and in its aftermath. They are many legends surrounding those two, known as `the Children of Selene', which makes sense since Selene is the Greek Goddess of the Moon, but that's not the point. I need you to contact Sailor Moon, her reincarnated brother, and all of their friends. I am in need of their help.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks Linda, “What do you mean?”

 

Linda replies, in a serious tone, “This is a serious matter, but it involves Sartorius and my prince and my prince needs them help more than anyone since Sartorius is planning to use him to get those keys back!” Chancellor Sheppard gasps in shock and Linda asks, in a serious tone, “Is there some way I can meet with all of them alone?”

 

Chancellor Sheppard nods his head and says, in a serious tone, “Yes, there is. I'll see what I can do.”

 

Linda tells Chancellor Sheppard, “Thank you, sir.”

 

(Later that day; Elsewhere in Academy Island)

 

Within a forested area of Academy Island, we find a group of Ra Yellow students catching their breaths after they ran away from the Pro Duelist known as Mattimatica.

 

One Ra Yellow student says, sighing in relief, “Oh, man! We should be safe from him for now.” But just then the Ra Yellow students hear footsteps coming towards them and they look to the source and gasp in horror to see Mattimatica in front of them.

 

Mattimatica says, “One, two, three, four, five, and six, time to get this over with. Who shall be my next opponent?” The Ra Yellow students hug each in fear, not knowing which one of them will be `taken out' by this pro duelist. But just then a loud yell like Tarzan would use comes from the woods all around them and Mattimatica and the Ra Yellow students look around to find out where it is coming from. On the other side of the forest, Jaden, Alexis, Syrus, and Tyranno, recently joined by Serena, Chazz, Rei, and Rini, also hear the Tarzan-like yell come through the woods.

 

Jaden says, recognizing the yell, “Do you hear that everyone?”

 

Chazz asks Jaden, “Hearing more Martians from outer space, again, Slacker?” Rei gets a bit annoyed by Chazz's comment since she is the Princess of Mars after all.

 

Serena says, in a perplexed tone, “No, I heard it too!”

 

Rini yells out, in a perplexed tone, “Same here! But who or what was that?!” Just then the loud Tarzan-like voice rings through the woods again.

 

Rei says, in a plain tone, “It sounds like someone is playing Tarzan or something!”

 

Jaden exclaims, in a serious tone, “I know that voice!”

 

Alexis nods her head in agreement and states, “Same here, Jaden! I know that Tarzan-like yell from anywhere!”

 

Serena, Chazz, Rei, Rini, and Tyranno yell out in unison, “You do?!” Soon after, Jaden and Alexis start running towards the voice while the others ran after them to catch.

 

Serena yells out to Jaden, “Hey, Jaden, wait up!”

 

Rei tells Serena, in her usual annoyed manner, “Oh, suck it up, Meatball Head!” Serena sticks her tongue out at Rei as she, Rei, Chazz, Rini, and Tyranno run after Jaden and his girlfriend. Back with the Ra Yellow students, a muscular young man with long black hair, brown eyes, and only wearing a pair of torn light grey that are torn just above the kneecaps drops down from the trees in-between Mattimatica and the Ra Yellow students.

 

The muscular young man tells Mattimatica, in a broken and primitive-like speech, “You wish for opponent. Damon will be your opponent. Me shall defeat you.”

 

Mattimatica retorts in a sarcastic tone, “Well, me thinks that you need a bath friend.” Soon enough, the two of them activate their duel disks and prepare to duel. Sometime soon after, Crowler and Bonaparte appear in the area and watch the duel with Crowler having a big smile on his face.

 

Crowler states, with a smile and excited tone, “Perfect. We are on time.”

 

Bonaparte says, drolly, “Oh, great. So, my future is in the hands of an ape-man.”

 

Crowler tells Bonaparte, “Don't underestimate, Damon, Bonaparte. He has a unique way of dueling.”

 

Bonaparte says, drolly, “Could have fooled me, Crowler. He is already losing.” At this time in the duel, Mattimatica has 3000 life-points left, Transcetor of Servey Warrior (ATK: 1000) on the field in attack mode, a face-up Gravity Bind trap, and a face-down card on the field. On the meanwhile, Damon has 2500 life-points left, one Big Shield Gardna (100/2600) in defense mode, and one face-down card. However, it is Mattimatica's turn and he draws one card from his deck.

 

Mattimatica puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I choose to play my Illegal Summon spell card! This allows me to choose one level four or below monster from my deck and summon it to your side of the field and then you get to choose a level four or below monster from your deck and summon it to my field! However, you get to choose the modes of those monsters!” Mattimatica goes through his deck, takes out one card, puts his deck back in his duel disk, and says, displaying the card to be Mid Shield Gardna (100/1800), “My Mid-Shield Gardna will do! Which mode will it be in?”

 

Damon replies, seriously, “Me pick defense mode!” Soon after, the said monster appears on Damon's side of the field.

 

Mattimatica tells Damon, “Your turn!”

 

Damon goes through his deck, takes out one card from his deck, put his deck back in his duel disk, and states, displaying Drone (900/500), “Me pick Drone in defense!” Soon after, the said monster appears on Mattimatica's side of the field in defense mode.

 

Mattimatica pushes a button on his duel disk and says, “Now, I play my Fatal Abacus trap card!” Mattimatica's face-down card proves to be Fatal Abacas trap card and Mattimatica says, “I know that math isn't one of your strong points, so, I will put this in simple terms: When monster is destroyed, monster's owner gets hit with five hundred points of damage. Next, I sacrifice your Drone to activate the effect of my monster, but since it is your monster, you lose five hundred points!” Just then a beam of energy comes from the hologram of the trap card and it slams into Damon causing him to yell out in surprise. Mattimatica then calls out, “And thanks to my sacrifice, my warrior can attack you directly!” Mattimatica by-passes the two monsters on Damon's side of the field and he holds his arms out in defense as he loses 1000 life-points in one shot. Mattimatica chortles heartily, thinking that he is about to win this duel.

Bonaparte says, drolly, “Guess I should be looking at this job ads.”

 

Crowler tells Bonaparte, “Don't counter Damon out yet, Bonaparte. The more he gets knocked down, the harder he fights back.” While Bonaparte turns back to the duel with intent, Jaden, Serena, Alexis, Chazz, Syrus, Rei, Rini, and Tyranno arrive to see the duel.

 

Jaden exclaims, seriously, “I was right! It was Damon! I wonder if civilization was too much for him!”

 

Alexis tells Jaden, “It looks like it Jaden. He vanished sometime after you dueled him.”

 

Serena asks Jaden and Alexis, “You know that guy?”

 

Alexis tells Serena, “That's right, Serena. His name is Damon. He is an Obelisk Blue, who disappeared around three years ago, but during Jaden's and my first year, we found that he had been training in the woods for a whole year to perfect his dueling technique. He nearly beat Jaden, but Jaden defeated him and he returned to civilization with us. However, he vanished again sometime after.”

 

Rini asks, curiously, “So, he is some kind of `ape-man' or something like Tarzan.”

 

Rei says, fanning her nose, “Even if he isn't, he sure smells like it.”

 

Back to the duel, Damon says, pushing a button on his duel disk, “I activate trap. You no stop Miracle Draw!” Damon's face-down card is revealed to be the Miracle Draw trap card and Damon says, “Here how works: Me guess card. Me right, you lose one thousand points. Me wrong, I lose one thousand points.”

 

Mattimatica retorts, “I get it. Me get points. Do you really think that you can win from a random draw?”

 

Damon tells Mattimatica, as he draws his card from his deck, “There is no `may'. The sun no `may' rise. Me not `may' poop in forest. Me know that I draw card! Me guess I draw Drawler!” Damon looks at his card, gives a wide grin, and displays the monster card known as Drawler (?/?), causing Damon to calls out, “Me draw Drawler!” This causes Mattimatica to gasp in shock and Damon yells out, “Me no defeat me!” Just then a hologram of the Miracle Draw trap card slams a beam of energy into Mattimatica causing him to lose 1000 life-points. Damon puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Now, me play Pot of Greed and get two cards!” Damon draws two cards from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and shouts out, “Now, me play Drawler!” Drawler (?/?) then comes to the field in attack mode. Damon tells Mattimatica, “Drawler's power is equal to five hundred times number of cards I return to bottom of deck and I return six cards!” Damon puts six cards at the bottom of his deck and Damon yells out, “This equals really big number!” Drawler's stats rise from 0/0 to 3000/3000! Damon calls out, “Me no good at math, but me a good at dueling and that's what counts! Now, Drawler, attack!” Drawler rumbles towards Mattimatica's monster and crushes it flat causing it to explode as 2000 of Mattimatica's life-points are taken away, ending the duel!

Damon: 1000

 

Mattimatica calls out, in disbelief, “That's impossible! 3 times five equals sixteen . . . Oh, never mind!” He then falls to his knees in defeat.

 

Serena says, impressed, “Wow. He's not good at math, but he is one good duelist.”

 

Rei tells Serena, with a sly grin, “Well, that's something you and that ape-man can relate you.”

 

Serena yells out at Rei, really annoyed, “Real funny, Pyro!”

 

Alexis tells the two girls, “All right, you, two, calm down! Anyway, Damon has got everything covered here!”

 

Syrus tells the others, “Yeah! We had better go find others that need our help!”

 

Jaden nods his head and says, “Right, Syi! Let's go!”

 

As Jaden, Serena, and their friends head off, Bonaparte exclaims, impressed, “All right! That `ape-man' is really impressed and might save my beacon!”

 

Crowler tells Bonaparte, with a wide grin, “Oh, but there is more, Bonaparte. Follow me.” Soon after, Bonaparte and Crowler head off into another area of Academy Island.

 

(Elsewhere on Academy Island; Somewhat later in the afternoon)

 

Soon after, we find Trista, Luna, and Atriums watching something from a clearing in the woods while a group of Slifer Red students sleep nearby and then Serena, Jaden, Alexis, Rini, Rei, Chazz, Syrus, and Tyranno.

 

Syrus asks, curiously, “What's up with these Slifer students? They seem so . . . chill.”

 

Trista looks over her shoulder to see them and calls out, “I believe that this duel might explain what is happening.”

 

Serena asks Trista, “Hey, Trista, what's up?”

 

Trista points to the clearing and replies, plainly, “Just watch my princess.” Soon after, our heroes and heroines look into the clearing, but Serena looks down to see Luna and Atriums giving off weary type faces as if they were ready to fall asleep.

 

Rei asks Luna and Atriums, “Are the two of you all right? You look ready to fall down and go to sleep. What's up?”

 

Atriums tells Rei, sleepily, “It is that duelist . . . *yawn* . . . on the right . . . *yawn* . . . some kind of mysterious power . . .” When everyone focuses on the duel, they find Belowski facing off against a Pro duelist with black hair, brown eyes, wearing just a white shirt slightly opened on the top, black pants, and brown shoes.

 

Chazz says, looking at the Pro duelists, “That's Elroy Prescott, the Memphis Pro Duelist, and ranked ninth in the Pro dueling circuit. However, I don't recognize the little guy he is dueling.”

 

Jaden tells Chazz, “That's because you were at North Academy when I met him. It's little Belowski.”

 

Serena asks Jaden, “You know him?”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “Yep! And he does have a unique ability. You might not want to stick around unless you are ready for a long nap.”

 

Rei asks Jaden, “What do you mean by that?”

 

Jaden smiles and states in reply, “You'll see. If you can stay awake that long.”

 

Alexis goes through her mind and says, “I'm getting a weird feeling that I should remember that kid.” Going to the duel between Elroy Prescott and Belowski, both of them have 4000 life-points and Prescott has three Goblin Dancing Forces (ATK: 2000) in attack mode while Belowski has two Mokey Mokey (300/100) on his side of the field in defense mode.

 

Prescott rubs his eyes and says, sounding a lot like Elvis, “What's going on here little dude? I'm ready to shake rattle and roll right into bed.” Belowski just give a few giggles in reply and this annoys the Pro Duelist. Prescott yells out, “So, that's the way it is, little man! Amigos, attack his Mokey!” Soon after, all three Goblin Dancing Forces attack Belowski's two little Mokey monsters, destroying them, and then taking away 2000 of his life-points with a direct attack.

Prescott tells Belowski, “What's up with you, little dude? I just took half of your life-points and you didn't even flinch.”

 

Belowski tells Prescott, in hippie-style calm and easy going tone, “Oh, you just to have to go with the flow, dude. Why do you duel for the Pro Leagues, man? It is just a title from the man to control you, you dig.” On the meanwhile, Alexis, Syrus, Chazz, Tyranno, and Rini start to get sleepy and all five of them yawn while Luna and Atriums are out like lights as you can say.

 

Rini asks, sleepily, “What's going on? *yawn* I'm so . . . so sleepily all of sudden . . .”

 

Syrus nods his head in agreement and states, “*yawn* Yeah, I'm ready to go to sleep.”

 

Chazz states, in a sleepy tone, “Dude, I am so down with that.”

 

Tyranno states, also in a sleepy tone, “Yeah . . . *yawn* . . . Ten-four . . . on that soldier . . . wake me . . . at *yawn* . . . sixteen-hundred . . .” Tyranno then leans right on one tree and goes into a deep sleep.

 

Alexis rubs her eyes and says, sleepily, “Oh my . . . I think . . . *yawn* . . . I'm starting to remember about . . . *yawn* . . . him.”

 

Serena and Rei look at their friends, perplexed, and Rei asks, confused, “What the heck?! Why is everyone getting so tried all of sudden?!”

 

Jaden giggles and says, “I see that Belowski hasn't lost his touch.”

 

Serena asks Jaden, “Jaden, what is so special about this Belowski kid?” Jaden then explains about what happened during his first year in Duel Academy and his duel with little Belowski.

 

When he is done, Rei says, “So, this kid has the ability to make Duel Monsters come to life along with any of their unique abilities?”

 

Jaden nods his head and says, “Yep! Belowski can make the Mokey's ability to lull people into sleepy and carefree state pretty much real. I was totally unaffected because the power of my dueling spirit.”

 

Rei asks, perplexed, “Okay, then why Meatball Head, Trista, and I are totally unaffected?”

 

Trista explains, “That's because you have strong spiritual powers and your miko training allows you to resist Belowski's and his monster's power, Serena is the holder of the Imperium Silver Crystal and has just as strong a dueling spirit as Jaden, and finally, with me, being around for as long as I have, you tend to learn a few `tricks' to resist kinds of powers like this one has.”

 

Back to the duel, Belowski draws one card, puts it in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Oh, by the way, I play my Dark Factory of Mass Production.”

 

Prescott says, in a very sleepy tone, “Not that card . . .”

 

Belowski tells Prescott, in his lay back tone, “I know. I know. It sounds so totalitarian, but it is pretty awesome. It allows me to bring back my Mokey to my hand.” Belowski takes two Mokey Mokey (300/100) monster cards and put them back into his hand. Belowski puts another card into the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Polymerization! It allows me to fuse my three cute little Mokey Mokey . . .!!” Belowski discards the three monster cards to the spell/trap slots, the three said monsters appear on the field and go into a fusion vortex, Belowski goes through his fusion deck, takes out a fusion monster card, and puts it on his duel disk, calling out, “. . . to summon my Mokey Mokey King!” Out of the fusion vortex, Mokey Mokey King (300/100) comes to the field in attack mode with a loud yell of `Mokey! Mokey!'.

 

Serena yells out, surprised, “Wow! That's one big marshmallow!”

 

Rei tells Serena, also shocked, “No kidding, Serena! Just don't try to eat him!” On the meanwhile, Prescott is lying down on the ground and gives a big yawn as he is about to fall asleep.

 

Belowski yells out, in his usual manner, “Hey, bro, what's wrong? Time to get up! We're dueling!”

 

Prescott holds out his GX medals and tells Belowski, in a sleepy tone, “I'm too tried to continue on. Just take them, little dude.” On the meanwhile, Crowler and Bonaparte, wearing pink spacesuits of some sorts, were watching the whole thing and Bonaparte gives a yell of excitement from this. Back with our heroes and heroines, Alexis is having a hard time staying on her feet and falls into Jaden's arms while Rini collapses onto the ground on her back, falling into a deep sleep, and Chazz puts his chin on Syrus' scalp as the two of them were about to fall asleep.

 

Rei yells out, surprised, “Wow! That little guy really knows how to knock people out!”

 

Serena asks, curiously and while putting the sleeping Rini into her arms, “Does he win all of his duels this way?”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a wide smile, “Just all of the duels that Crowler takes him out for! Remember, he lives in a special containment chamber for his dorm with a virtual reality `paradise' by himself and Belowski loves it that way since he can see Duel Monster spirits like you, Rei, and I can.”

 

Rei asks, somewhat concerned, “Is there some way we can reverse this power and wake them up?” Just then two female screams rocket through the forest and Chazz, Syrus, Alexis, Rini, Tyranno, Luna, and Atriums wake up immediately.

 

Tyranno yells out, in surprise, “Man your battle stations! We're under attack!”

 

Serena states, plainly, “Well, that's one way.”

 

Rini yells at Serena, “Serena, what are you doing?! Put me down Meatball Head!”

 

Serena replies, annoyed, “With pleasure.” Serena then gently puts Rini down on the ground and Serena yells out, wondering, “But who was screaming?”

 

Jaden says, in a serious tone, “I recognize those screams anywhere! It's Jasmine and Mindy!”

 

Alexis asks Jaden, surprised, “Are you sure?”

 

Jaden nods his head and Rei says, seriously, “It sounds like they are in trouble!”

 

Luna yells out, seriously, “Well, what we are waiting for?!” Without another word needing to be said, our group heads off to the source of the screams, knowing that it belonged to two of Alexis' best friends and guardians.

 

(A short time soon after; Elsewhere on Academy Island)

 

In a rocky pace of land near a cliff-side near the ocean, we find Jasmine and Mindy dueling against a young man with well-combined black hair and black eyes with a short black beard in the center of his chin wearing a black formal vest over a white formal shirt, black bow-tie, black pants, and black formal shoes. Soon after, we find Alexis, Jaden, Serena, Rei, Rini, Chazz, Syrus, Tyranno, Trista, and two guardian cats arrive to see this duel.

 

Rini tells Jaden, “You were right, Jaden. It is your friends!”

 

Tyranno asks, looking at their opponent, “But who are they dueling against?”

 

Chazz tells them, “That's the Maitre'd. He is a eighth in the Pro duelists.”

 

The group gasps in shock and Alexis exclaims, shocked, “A pro? Jasmine and Mindy aren't too bad duelists, but they can't take on a pro!”

 

Syrus tells Alexis, pointing at the duel, “And I believe that's the point. Look at the score.” At this time in the duel, Jasmine and Mindy, who are a team, have only 1600 life-points left with only Mermaid Knight (1500/700) on Jasmine's side of the field in attack mode and Rescue Cat (1500/700) on Mindy's side of the field in defense mode. On the meanwhile, the Maitre'd has Bacchus, the Hard-Drinker God (1600/1600) in attack mode and a full 4000 life-points. However, it was the Pro Duelist's turn and his Bacchus' states increase from 1600/1600 to 1900/1600, thanks to its special ability.

 

Maitre'd calls out, in a French accent, “Now, my little Mademoiselles, it is time for the first course. Bacchus, take out her little mermaid!” Bacchus launches a stream of wine from its mouth at Mermaid Knight and destroys it, costing Mindy and Jasmine 400 life-points.

 

Jasmine yells out, shocked, “My Mermaid Knight!”

 

Maitre'd puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, in his French accent, “And to wash that down, may I suggest some Chalice of the Gods. This allows me to summon a Wine Token to the field!” Soon after, a little red blob of red wine, Wine Token (1000/1000), comes to the field in attack mode. Maitre'd then calls out, “Now, get rid of that filthy feline!” The Wine Token rushes right in, goes into Rescue Cat's mouth, and takes it out from the inside out.

 

Mindy yells out, in shock, “Oh no! My cute little kitty cat!”

 

Maitre'd moves a wine glass around and says, “Ha! Is this all you've have mademoiselles?! I would have expected more from the famous Obelisk Blue!”

 

Jasmine asks Maitre'd, annoyed, “What do you mean by that?”

 

Maitre'd tells them, insulting them with his French accent, “Your dueling skills, how we can say this, is like bad wine. Very spoiled and brand, madam. The two of you are better off making tea and flowers. I can see that dueling here is a man's job.”

 

Alexis and Jaden get very annoyed at this and Alexis says, annoyed, “That does it! I'm not going to let this . . . snob insult my friends or my dorm any longer! We have been through enough without this jerk!”

 

Maitre'd tells the two of them, in a confident tone, “Would you like to surrender? Little madams like you are better off . . .”

 

Jasmine roars out, angrily, “Just finish your damn move already!” Everyone is shocked by this and everyone looks to see angered looks in Jasmine's and Mindy's expressions.

 

Syrus says, a bit scared of them, “They look mad.”

 

Tyranno nods his head and replies, a bit nervously, “Ten-four on that soldier. This guy might have just made a tactical error.”

 

Jaden nods his head and says, “Make your opponents mad. Jaz and Mindy might not be the best duelists, but that doesn't mean that they can't win against him.”

 

Maitre'd puts one card on his duel disk and says, “Fine, mademoiselle. I finish this course with this.” Soon after, a hologram of a face-down monster appears on the field.

Jasmine draws one card from her deck and says, “Finally! My move!”

 

Chazz says, plainly, “She is nuts if she is going against him! It can be two hundred of them and they will still won't beat this guy!”

 

Jaden tells Chazz, with a wide grin, “Don't count on it, Chazz! Something tells me that they are going to turn this around!”

 

Jasmine puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play of Pot of Greed! It allows me to draw two more cards into my hand!” Jasmine draws two more cards from her deck and puts them into her hand. Jasmine looks at the cards and thinks, smiling, “Finally! Just what I needed to bring this bad French cook down to size! Time to show this asshole what it means to insult the girls of Obelisk Blue! We've already had enough problems with our dorm taken over by that freak Sartorius, fighting to get our best friend, Alexis, back from that freak's mind-control, and getting all of the students that alien freak brainwashed back from his control along with our dorm! This jerk has pissed us off for the last time!” Jasmine puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “All right, `Frenchy', I'll start with a little spell card! Machine Angel Ritual!”

 

Alexis gasps in shock and asks, perplexed, “When did Jasmine add my card to her deck?!”

 

Jasmine discards her Cosmo Queen (2900/2450) and Cyber Harpie (1800/1300) monster cards to the graveyard, puts another card in her hand on her duel disk, and shouts out, “Now, see you later Cosmo Queen and Harpie and meet Cyber Angel . . . Cyber Angel Athena!” Soon after, in a bright light, Cyber Angel Athena (3000/2450) comes to the field in attack mode swing her sword around her body before striking a `fighting pose'.

 

Alexis asks, perplexed, “Wait a minute! I never heard of that monster before!”

 

Jaden tells Alexis, “You were still brainwashed at the time `Lex. Jasmine was forced into a duel with Ashley, who was still under the Light of Destruction's control at the time, and she was losing, but somehow, she gained the strength to fight back causing her powers as Sailor Aries to `wake up' and somehow the powers of her home kingdom gave her that card.”

 

Maitre'd asks, perplexed, “What is that?”

 

Jasmine tells her opponent, with a sly grin on her lips, “The strongest monster in my deck, pal! It's my Cyber Angel Athena and she is going to run you right out of business! Her special ability allows me to remove one monster from my graveyard from play in order to remove from play a monster on your side of the field!”

 

Maitre'd yells out, in shock, “No, you can't!”

 

Jasmine removes her Mermaid Knight (1500/700) card from her graveyard and yells out, “Sorry, chef, but I'm changing the menu around here! So, I remove my Mermaid Knight to send that porker packing! Take it away girlfriend!” Cyber Angel Athena gives a war cry as she leaps into the air and slices right through Bacchus, removing it from play. Jasmine then calls out, “Next, since that was just my girl's special ability, I think it is time to take a bite out of your life-points! Athena, take out that little blob of his! Cyber War Blade!” Cyber Angel Athena rushes forward, slices Wine Token causing it to the turn into little wine drops, and costing the Maitre'd 2000 life-points. Jasmine puts the last card in her hand in the spell/trap slots and says, “I place one card face-down and call it a turn!”

Syrus yells out, surprised, “Wow! Jasmine just turned the duel around!”

 

Tyranno says, nodding his head, “No joke, private! Those girls are showing that overdressed `chef' what real combat is about!”

 

Chazz states, in a plain tone, “She might have got a good move in, but the question is: Can Mindy follow it up?”

 

Alexis tells Chazz, confidently, “I know that she can.”

 

Mindy draws one card from her duel disk, her eyes widen when she sees the card, and thinks, “It's the card that Sol and Hyperion gave me! The card that's infused with the power of my home kingdom! But the problem is, I can't summon it because it is Ritual Monster exactly like Jasmine card and I don't have the right Ritual Spell card . . .” Just then Mindy notices a certain card in her hand and thinks, with a sly grin, “Or maybe I don't need that card at all!” Mindy puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “All right, `Mr. French', I play my Advanced Ritual Art spell card! Here's how it works! I pick a Ritual Monster from my hand and then I send Normal non-effect monsters from my deck to my graveyard with level or levels equal to my Ritual Monsters! Then I summon that Ritual Monster to the field!” Mindy then goes through her deck, picks out three cards from her deck, puts her deck into her duel disk, displays two Harpie Lady (1300/1400) monster cards and one Harpie Girl (500/500), and says, discarding them to the graveyard, “So, I send two of my Harpie Ladies and my Harpie Girl straight to the graveyard!”

 

Syrus states, perplexed, “Hold up! That's . . . let's see . . . four . . . eight . . .”

 

Chazz yells at Syrus, annoyed, “That's a total of ten star levels of monsters that she is discarding! That means she is summoning a level ten Ritual Monster!”

 

Mindy puts one card on her duel disk and calls out, “Now, I would like for you to meet my new friend! A girl after my own heart! Meet Cyber Angel Aphrodite!” Just then a female monster with long vibrate blond hair that goes down to her buttocks, wearing a simple Greek-like shirt over her slender and sexy body, no sleeves on the skirt, bright gold mini-skirt that goes one-quarter of the way down her sexy and seductive legs, three golden rings on each of her wrists, sparkling golden fingernails, wearing bright yellow high-heeled shoes similar to Sailor Venus' high-heeled shoes, and four huge and fluffy white angel wings comings onto the field. This new monster, Cyber Angel Aphrodite, is a ten star monster with 2800/2600 stats!

 

Rei asks, perplexed, “Another new Cyber Angel monster we never heard of before! Where did she get that card?!”

 

Luna says, in a plain tone, “It must be a gift from Sol and Hyperion to Mindy. Since she is Sailor Libra, the Zodiac counterpart of our Sailor Venus, I would say that card is very appropriate.”

 

Mindy then says, with a sly smile on her lips, “Now, things are going to get pretty interesting because I play her special effect! You see, a girl like her loves jewelry and such, but she can be very picky. You see, when I play her effect, you have to draw the top card of your deck and show it to me. If you get an Equip Spell card, Jasmine's and my monsters switch to defense mode and my turn comes automatically to an end! However, if you pick up anything else, Aphrodite, here, destroys every single face-down monster, spell, and trap card on your side of the field and removes them from play!”

 

The Maitre'd gasps in shock and exclaims, in French, “Sacre bleu! This cannot be!”

 

Mindy tells the Maitre'd, with her usual smile, “Sorry, Frenchy, but it can! Now, be a real sweetie and show me your top card!” The Maitre'd draw one card from his deck, looks at it, his eyes widen in horror, and he displays the card to be the Bacchus Compotation Continuous Spell card. Mindy says, with a sly smile, “Sorry, not the card that we were looking for! Girlfriend, do you stuff!” A golden bow and arrow form in Cyber Angel Aphrodite's hands and she launches an arrow at the face-down monster, destroying it, and removing it from play.

 

Jasmine yells at Mindy, excitedly, “All right, Mindy! Now, it is time to pick up the check!”

 

Mindy shouts out, “You heard Jasmine! Aphrodite, show this cute jerk why you should never get the goddess of love mad! Attack with Love and Beauty Shocker!” Cyber Angel Aphrodite rises into the air and rains down dozens of heart-shaped energy spheres from her wings at the Maitre'd and he yells out as his life-points drop by 2800 points, ending the duel immediately.

Jasmine and Mindy: 1200

Maitre'd: 0

 

After the duel ended, the final holograms fade away and the Maitre'd collapses onto the ground, dropping four GX medals, and holds up a wine glass.

 

He groans out, weakly, “Thank you for coming, Mademoiselles, but now, the kitchen is closed.” He then drops the wine glass onto the ground and faints.

 

Jasmine says, annoyed, “What a drama queen.”

 

Chazz states, shocked, “Hold up! Those two?! All of people on this island?! The two of them beat a Pro?!”

 

Syrus yells out, happily, “You better believe it, Chazz!”

 

Jaden calls out, excitedly, “Way to go!” Jasmine and Mindy turn to our group and are amazed to see them as Alexis slowly walks up to them.

 

Jasmine asks Alexis, “Alexis, you saw?”

 

Alexis tells Jasmine, with a smile, “Yep. You really did our dorm proud, Jaz.”

 

Mindy exclaims, excitedly, “I can't believe that we just beat a pro!”

 

Chazz thinks in his mind, amazed, “You and me both girl.”

 

Tyranno tells them, “Excellent work, soldiers. That was some great combat!”

 

Rei tells Jasmine, “You really show that jerk why you should never mess with you, Mindy, or the Obelisk Blue dorm!”

 

Jasmine smiles and tells Rei, “Thanks, Rei.”

 

Serena tells Jasmine, with her usual smile, “You and Mindy really deserve it. You did awesome out there!”

 

On the meanwhile, Syrus thinks in his mind, “If Jasmine and Mindy could gain the strength needed to take down a Pro duelist like that, then I know that I can get the strength that I need to defeat Zane. However, I'm not ready yet. When I am ready, I'll put that Power Bond he gave me in my deck and use it to win against him. However, I still need to get stronger.”

 

(A day later; in a unknown location on Academy Island)

 

Deep within a cavern that looks similar to Queen Beryl's throne room in the Negaverse, we find our recently revived evil queen looking at a crystal ball similar to her former one and looking at the whole of the GX tournament is going.

 

Queen Beryl says, “Look at all of that precious energy . . . going to waste . . . for a silly contest. Back in my day, this `game' that turned the Shadow Games into was just more for fun. It was power and glory and I'm going to make sure that Duel Monsters is returned to that way that it is supposed to be . . . as soon as I get what I need.” Just then a youma appears in front of the evil queen and she asks, in a serious tone, “Report.”

 

The youma replies, in a dark tone, “My queen, with the limited numbers that we have, we couldn't find where they are hiding the keys to the Spirit Gates that hold the three Sacred Beasts, but we have gathered more energy from unsuspecting duelists and we have someone with great promise.”

 

Queen Beryl asks, curiously, “What do you mean?”

 

The youma replies, “A human who was embraced the anger, rage, and darkness within his heart and has become a ruthless duelist who cares nothing expect for total victory and inflicting pain on others when they duel.”

 

Queen Beryl's eyes widen at this and she says, with a dark grin on her lips, “Very interesting. You have got me interested in this human. What is his name?”

 

The youma replies, “His name is Zane Truesdale, who goes by the `nickname' of Hell Kaiser.”

 

Queen Beryl's eyes widen even more and she says, with a sick grin on her lips, “He calls himself `Hell Kaiser', huh? Very interesting, indeed. Send a youma to observe one of his duels. I want to see if he is as you say he is. If it is true, he could be very useful to our cause.”

 

The youma replies, bowing, “Yes, my queen.” The youma then teleports away as Queen Beryl continues to watch the GX tournament unfold with an interested look when she thinks about Zane Truesdale.

 

(During that same day; near the cliffs at the Slifer Red dorm)

 

Today, this morning, we find Syrus Truesdale dueling against an Obelisk Blue duelist, who was a recent transfer student before the GX tournament started and wasn't brainwashed by the Society of Light, one of the few Obelisk Blues other than Mindy, Jasmine, and Atticus, on a couple of small `land mound' sticking up from the water near the cliffs from the Slifer Red dorm. Syrus had his Patroid (1200/1200) and Submarineroid (800/1800) on the field in attack mode while his opponent had Gagagigo (1850/1000) and Amphibian Beast (2400/2000) and all monsters were in attack mode, but Syrus had 2500 life-points left while his opponent only had 700 life-points remaining and it was Syrus' turn.

 

Syrus tells the Obelisk Blue student, “Once you see my Submarineroid's special ability, you are going to wish that you never dueled me.”

 

The Obelisk Blue student replies, in a serious tone. “Oh, yeah?! What's its special ability?!”

 

Syrus tells the Obelisk Blue student, “Glad that you asked! It can bypass your monsters and attack you directly!” Submarineroid dives into the water, the Obelisk Blue student gasps in shock, and then a torpedo comes from under the water and slams into the Obelisk Blue student, causing him to yell as he loses 800 life-points, ending the duel immediately.

Syrus: 2500

Obelisk Blue student: 0

 

The Obelisk Blue student tells Syrus, amazed, “What happened to you, Truesdale? Just a while ago, you were hiding in trash cans and now, you are kicking tournament butt! What happened man?!” The Obelisk Blue student throws Syrus his GX medal and Syrus catches it.

 

Syrus replies, with a smile on his lips, “Nothing.” Soon after, he walks back up towards the Slifer Red dorm while the Obelisk Blue student collapses to his knees.

 

Just then a familiar male voice calls out, “Nothing, huh? I don't think so, bro!” Syrus then looks to see Jaden and Serena standing in front of him with smiles on their faces.

 

Jaden comes up to Syrus and tells Syrus, “You have something to fight for bro, that's what changed! You been dueling and taking names . . . as well as GX medals!” Jaden unzips a bit of Syrus' vest and small hand full of GX medals fell out.

 

As Jaden goes over to pick up the medal, Syrus says, solemnly, “Yeah, I'm good and getting better, Jaden, but I'm not good enough.”

 

Serena asks Syrus, “What do you mean Syrus? You are a pretty good duelist from what I see.”

 

Syrus tells Serena, “Thanks, Serena, but I'm nowhere near where I want to be. You remember that Power Bond spell card that Zane gave me?”

 

Serena asks Syrus, “What about it?”

 

Syrus tells Serena, “Well, I'm not good enough for it, yet. You see, I want to feel good enough on my own and then when I'm ready, I'm going to put that card in my deck and use it to defeat Zane.” Jaden, when he gathers all of the medals, gives them back to Syrus, and Syrus puts them back in his vest. However, Syrus then asks, curiously, “By the way, why are you and Serena here? I thought that you would be with Alexis, Jaden. And I thought that you would be with your friends and Darien, Serena.”

 

Serena tells Syrus, “The girls can handle themselves without needing me bugging them all the time. I would love to be with Darien, but I've got to get to know my long lost brother better, don't I?”

 

Jaden nods his head and tells Syrus, “And Alexis is a strong person without me around her all the time. She knows that if she needs me, I will be with her always. And anyway, the guys and girls don't need us, `Chosen Duelists', around them all the time.”

 

Syrus tells Jaden, “Well, I guess that you are right. Aren't you worried that they might try a sneak attack to get our friends?”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, “Oh, Syi! You worry too much!”

 

Serena then looks up towards the sky and says, in a plain tone, “However, Syrus does have a point. Trista told us that the evil that we face as old as time itself and as long as it exists, the balance of life is still under threat. We need to use the powers of darkness and life and seal it away for good. And until we do, his threat isn't over, even through we weakened his Society and still hold the satellite keys.”

 

Syrus asks Jaden and Serena, “Speaking of which, do you know where Aster is? He holds one of the keys you know.”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, confidently, “Oh, Aster can take care of himself! He is a very strong duelist, especially with those Destiny Heroes of his! Remember, it took my Neo-Spacians and Neos to give me the win!”

 

Syrus tells Jaden, nodding his head, “That's a good point, Jaden. And plus, Serena also has a similar deck to yours and she is one of these `Chosen Duelists', through it seems pretty obvious since you and she were brother and sister once upon a time. By the way, how many of your memories come back?”

 

Serena shrugs her shoulders and says, “Lately, we haven't gotten anymore memories from after that tag duel with Chazz and Alexis when Jaden was revealed to be my brother, Prince Judai.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, “But I don't think that should bug us, sis. If they come back, they come back. If they don't, they don't.” Serena smiles at her brother and nods her head in agreement.

 

Just then Tyranno's voice shouts out, “Hey!” When everyone looks up to the source of the voice, they see Tyranno looking down from the top of the cliff at all of them. Tyranno yells out, in a serious tone, “Hey! Aster and Zane just bumped shoulders and it looks like a major battle is about to start!”

 

Jaden, Syrus, and Serena yell out in unison, “What?!” Just then Syrus starts running up the cliff and towards Tyranno with Jaden and Syrus following behind him.

 

(Sometime later; In front of the main building in Duel Academy)

 

In front of the main building to Duel Academy, we find Zane, in his new Hell Kaiser persona and with a black briefcase by his right leg, staring down Aster Phoenix while a group of red, yellow, and blue students watch from a distance knowing how powerful those two duelists are and don't want to get involved. In the crowd and watching the closest are Serena's friends, Rei, Lita, Amara, Hotaru, and Serena's boyfriend, Darien Shields.

 

Hotaru asks, a bit fearful of Zane, “Is that Syrus-kun's older brother?”

 

Lita nods her head and says, “Yep! Last time that I checked, that was Zane Truesdale! What we heard was right, he really went for the `Goth' look!”

 

Darien says, in a serious tone, “It is more than that Lita. Luna and Atriums were right to warn us about him. I can see it in his eyes. Anger, rage, and ruthlessness. He is not a person that you want to mess with or get angered.”

 

Amara says, in a plain tone, “However, it looks like Aster Phoenix isn't intimated by him.”

 

Aster tells Zane, with a sarcastic tone, “Hey, Zane, what's with the whole `Goth' look? Don't tell me that you have been forced to scare your opponents into submission? Or are you just angry that I humiliated you on television?” Aster holds up his duel disk attached to his left wrist and asks, with a sly tone in his voice, “Want revenge? Here's your chance.”

 

Zane replies, in a dark tone, “Whatever.”

 

Just then Syrus' voice calls out, “Hey, you, two, break it up!” Everyone then looks to see Serena, Jaden, Tyranno, and Syrus running towards them and while Serena goes over to her friends and boyfriend, when she notices them, Syrus goes over and gets in-between Aster and Zane.

 

Serena asks them, “Hi, Darien! Hey, girls! What's up?! What are you doing around here?”

 

Lita tells Serena, “We were around when Aster and Zane just `bumped' into each other? They have been staring at each other for around ten minutes, through Aster was launching a strain of `trash talk' at Zane during that time.”

 

Serena yells out, shocked, “What?! Doesn't he know that Zane is very dangerous now?! Does he want to get Syrus' brother pissed off at him?!”

 

Amara tells Serena, in a plain tone, “Actually, Serena, Zane didn't even make a retort to insult Aster back.” Serena gives Amara a perplexed look and then turns back to the scene unfolding before her.

 

Syrus tells Aster, “Aster, you can't duel Zane! He isn't who he used to be! Look at him! He wants revenge and he means to get it!”

 

Aster tells Syrus, “Revenge? Dude, you have got that all wrong. He doesn't want revenge.” Syrus looks at Aster, shocked, and Aster tells Syrus, “I've been talking trash to him for ten minutes and he hasn't so much taken the bait at all.”

 

Syrus asks Zane, “If that's the case, what do you want Zane?”

 

Aster replies, with his usual smile, “He just wants to win and he doesn't care who he has to step on.”

 

Zane then says, “That's right.” When Syrus looks at Zane, he says, darkly, “All of you people are the same to me, nothing but a bunch of worthless maggots.”

 

Lita says, shocked, “Whoa! Who put bugs in his bed?!”

 

Amara thinks in her mind, “There is something that I really don't like about this guy. Those eyes have a sinister gleam to them . . . almost pure evil in look.”

 

Jaden then says, “All right, that settles it!” Everyone looks at Jaden as he comes up and takes Syrus' deck out of his duel disk, which is attached to his left wrist.

 

Syrus asks Jaden, “What do you mean Jaden?”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, while shuffling his deck and not noticed by everyone else, adds a certain card to it, “You have to duel him, Syrus. I know that you feel that you aren't ready, but in my mind, you were always ready. You need to show him the true meaning of respect, Syi.”

 

Soon after, Jaden hands Syrus his deck, Syrus takes it, puts it back in his duel disk, and says, a bit nervously, while trying to sound strong, “All right, Zane, I duel you to a challenge . . . I mean I challenge you to a duel, Zane!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, in a dark serious tone, “All right, little man . . . But if you want to duel me, you have to enter my world!” Zane opens the black briefcase and reveals six shackles with two metal spikes poking out of each of them causing Amara and Darien to gasp out in shock.

 

Darien exclaims, shocked, “He can't be serious?! Using those?!”

 

Lita asks Darien, “What's up Darien?”

 

Amara says, in a serious tone, “I've heard about those! Those shackles are used in the Underground dueling circuits. Every time a player loses life-points, they receive a painful electrical shock to their body through those shackles and the length of the shock depends on the amount of life-points lost. Those things can even kill a duelist if the shock is strong and long enough!”

 

Rei, Lita, and Serena gasp in shock and Rei yells out, flabbergasted, “Is that guy nuts or really gone off the deep end?!”

 

Serena tells Rei, “Somehow, Rei, we are not going to like the answer.”

 

Zane tells Syrus, darkly, “These make the duel more electrifying and with every life-point lost is a shock to the system. Meet the `new me'. Through duels using these, your brother has been reborn.”

 

Syrus tells Zane, nervously, “Um . . . happy birthday?”

 

Zane tells Syrus, darkly, “What is it going to be little man? Are you going to meet me in the shadows?”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, having knowledge about those, “Um . . . Syrus . . . about my little speech earlier . . .”

 

However, Syrus picks up one of the metal spikes and yells out, determinedly, “Not only am I going to meet you in the shadows, but I'm going to bring you back!”

 

Serena, Darien, and her four female friends gasp out in shock and Lita says, in an amazed tone, “Either he is brave or just plain crazy!”

 

Rei tells Lita, “I hate to admit it, but I've got to agree with you, Lita. Those things can really hurt him!”

 

Serena states, worriedly, “I hope that Syrus will be okay.”

 

Hotaru thinks, worriedly, “”Be careful, Syrus-kun . . .” A short time later, Syrus and Zane were fitted with three of the shackles apiece as they prepared to duel.

Tyranno tells Syrus, “It isn't too late, soldier. You can still retreat.”

 

Jaden tells Tyranno, “It is his choice, Hassleberry. And we will be right here along with Hotaru and the others if he needs help and support.”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, nervously, “I know, Sarge. But this whole `deal' has got me nervous, that's all.”

 

Syrus tells Tyranno and Jaden, confidently, “Don't worry, guys. I will be fine.” After Jaden and Tyranno step away from Syrus, he looks at Zane and tells him, “I've been waiting a long time for this! Game on!” Zane gives a sickly smile as the two duelists draw five cards from their decks and their duel disks activate causing the life-point counters to read 4000 life-points each.

Zane draws one card from his deck and says, darkly, “I might actually have some fun.” Zane puts one card on his duel disk and says, “And I'll start with this! My Infernal Dragon in defense mode!” Soon after, Infernal Dragon (2000/0) appears on the field in defense mode, Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “And then I'll place a face-down and let you off the hook for now!”

 

Tyranno exclaims, surprised, “No defense points?! Then why play it in defense mode?!”

 

Serena says, in a plain and worried tone, “I know why. With that freaky Underworld deck of Zane, he wants that monster in the graveyard.”

 

Syrus then calls out, “Time for a real move!” Syrus draws one card from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and calls out, “First, I play Truckroid in attack mode!” Soon after, Truckroid (1000/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Zane states, in a dark sarcastic tone, “Nice toy. Didn't you have one when you were in diapers?”

 

Lita says, annoyed, “Hey, that's low!”

 

Hotaru says, giving off a `pouting' look, “He isn't nice at all.”

 

Syrus tells Zane, nervously, “Um . . . maybe.” Syrus then calls out, “Anyway, watch out! Because my Truckroid is going to run you down!” Truckroid then attacks Infernal Dragon and sends it airborne. Syrus then shouts out, seriously, “Now, Truckroid's ability activates! I know that you want your monster in the graveyard, but no such luck, because he combining with my Truckroid instead!” Just then Truckroid's container opens, Zane's Infernal Dragon falls right in, and when the smoke clears, Truckroid gains Infernal Dragon's wings and his stats go up from 1000/2000 to 3000/2000!

 

Zane asks Syrus, darkly, “How long have you been watching my duel, little brother?”

 

Syrus replies, “Long enough to know that you have that Underworld deck and you need monsters in your graveyard!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, darkly, “You will still lose, twerp.”

 

Syrus puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “We'll see! I place one card face-down!”

 

Zane draws one card and calls out, in a dark serious tone, “Let the destruction begin!” Zane puts one card on the duel disk and calls out, “I play Exploder Dragon!” Soon after, Exploder Dragon (1000/0) comes to the field in attack mode. Zane then commands, “Attack his Truckroid with Cannon Ball Clash!” Exploder Dragon flies into the air to prepare to attack.

 

Syrus asks, perplexed, “My Truckroid is stronger than his monster? So, why would he attack?” Just then Exploder Dragon drops a spiked cannon ball at Truckroid that destroys it and Exploder Dragon is destroyed as well. Syrus yells out, shocked, “My Truckroid! What happened to it?!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, with a dark smile and dark tone, “Looks like it's gone. I should have warned you about my dragon's special ability. When it attacks, both monsters are instantly destroyed!”

 

Serena exclaims, perplexed, “But hold on, shouldn't Zane lose life-points because his monster was still weaker?!”

 

Amara tells Serena, in a serious tone, “Not so, Serena. That monster also negates all Battle Damage that comes from the battle.”

 

Lita states, worriedly, “That's not good!”

 

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Now, moving on! I play Quick-Summon! This card instantly allows me to summon another monster!” Zane puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “So, meet Cyber Dark Horn!” Cyber Dark Horn (800/800) then comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Syrus says, worriedly, “Oh, man! When you sent my Truckroid to the graveyard, your Infernal Dragon went with it!”

 

Zane's graveyard starts to glow and he says, with a sick smile on his lips, “And by your whimpering tone that you know when Cyber Dark Horn is summoned, he can take a dragon from my graveyard and absorb its attack power!” Soon after, Infernal Dragon comes back, Cyber Dark Horn captures it in its claws, and puts two IV wires into the dragon's skull as its stats increase from 800/800 to 2800/800!

 

Hotaru exclaims, shocked, “That's terrible!”

 

Lita tells Hotaru, “No kidding, Hotaru! Disgusting is more like it through!”

 

Zane then calls out, “Now, Cyber Dark Horn, attack that runt directly!” Cyber Dark Horn launches a dark beam of energy right at Syrus.

 

Syrus pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “You've triggered my trap! Life-Force!” Syrus' face-down card is revealed to be the Life-Force continuous trap card and Syrus tells Zane, “By paying four hundred life-points, I can reduce the Battle Damage from your attack to zero and cancel out your attack!” Soon after, a barrier forms around Syrus, negating Cyber Dark Horn's attack.

 

Zane then says, with a sick smile on his lips, “Yes, but you will still the pain of the points that you sacrificed!” Just then Syrus' shackles activate and he cries out in pain as he is shocked as he loses 400 life-points

 

Hotaru calls out, horrified like the rest of Serena's friends watching this duel, Serena's boyfriend, Jaden, Tyranno, and Aster, “Syrus!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, with a sick smile on his lips and in a dark tone, “I can see your strategy. You have piled your deck with cards that reduce battle damage, but even they come with a price. The pain isn't too much, is it? Tell me Syi, how long can you last before you fall?” Syrus winches in pain from the attack and Zane says, darkly, “From what I can see, not long, but that's no surprise.”

Syrus draws one card from his deck and says, “I'll be fine!” Syrus puts one card on his duel disk and says, “I summon Submarineroid!” Soon after, Submarineroid (800/1800) comes to the field in attack mode and Syrus exclaims, “And with Submarineroid, he can sneak past your monsters and then he is in prime position to attack you directly! Now, launch your Subterranean Sneak Attack!” Submarineroid disappears into the concrete, holographic dust and sand kick up as the `submerged' machine monster comes towards Zane, and fires a `missile' right at him causing Syrus to say, seriously, “Now, let's see how you like it!” Soon after, the attack plasters right into Zane causing a strong explosion.

 

Lita yells out, excitedly, “Oh, yeah! Right in the kisser!” However, when the smoke and dust clear, Zane gets shocked as he loses 800 life-points, but he doesn't even flinch at all.

 

Syrus asks Zane, concerned, “Doesn't that hurt at all?” Zane looks at Syrus with that sick smile still on his lips and Syrus says, nervously, “All right. Submarineroid switches to defense mode.” Submarineroid comes back to Syrus side of the field and switches from attack to defense mode, Syrus puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, a bit nervously, “I place this face-down and that's it.”

As the sparks come from Zane's shackles, Zane tells Syrus, with the sick smile on his lips and in dark tone, “It's funny. You get used to pain after awhile. Eventually, it no longer hurts Syi. In fact, it makes you feel stronger. I don't feel it as anguish anymore. Now, I consider it the feeling of victory!”

 

Serena exclaims, flabbergasted, “What the?! Has this guy become some kind of masochistic or what?!”

 

Lita tells Serena, in a bit of a freaked out tone, “More like he has gone totally nuts, Serena!”

 

Zane draws one card from his deck and yells out, “And speaking of victory . . .!” Zane puts one card on his duel disk and yells out, darkly, “I summon Cyber Dark Edge!” Cyber Dark Edge (800/800) then comes to the field in attack mode and Zane calls out, darkly, “Now, it pulls my Exploder Dragon from the graveyard and absorbs its attack power!” Zane's graveyard glows, Exploder Dragon comes back to the field, Cyber Dark Edge catches it in its tentacles, puts IV wires into its forehead, and Cyber Dark Edge's stats 800/800 to 1800/800! Zane then calls out, in a dark serious tone, “Now, Cyber Dark Horn, destroy Submarineroid!” Cyber Dark Horn launches its attack right at Submarineroid.

 

Syrus pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “I play my trap! Cyber Repairer!” Syrus' face-down card is revealed to be Cyber Repairer trap card and Syrus says, seriously, “Now, you get to draw one card from your deck and in return, Submarineroid is invincible . . . at least for this turn!”

 

Zane draws one card from his deck and says, darkly, “You might have spared your monster, but Dark Horn has more points, so, you still take the damage, little brother!”

 

Syrus then says, referring to his Life-Force continuous trap card, “But if I use Life-Force, the Battle Damage will become zero.”

 

Zane tells Syrus, with his sick smile on his lips, “But you will still taste the pain!” Syrus then yells out in pain and agony as he is shocked as his life-points drop by 400 more points. Zane tells Syrus, “Enjoying the pain, yet? Well, I've got more! By cutting its attack points in half, Cyber Dark Edge is able to attack you directly!” Cyber Dark Edge's stats drop down from 1800/800 to 900/800 and attack Syrus directly.

 

Syrus calls out, “Go! Life-Force!” Syrus' trap card negates the battle damage, but he cries out in pain as the shackles shock him again as his life-points drop by 400 more points.

 

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, darkly, “Well, you've been through enough for now.”

Aster says, nervously, “Oh man! This is nuts! Zane has taken this duel too far!”

 

Lita yells out, seriously, “Damn it! This isn't a duel at all! This is just plain sick!”

 

Syrus tells Zane, slightly groaning out in pain, “Lita's right, Zane! This isn't a duel at all!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, with his dark sick smile, “Give it sometime, Syrus. When I started dueling in the Underground, I thought the same thing. But then I discovered the pleasure of pain. Duels aren't all fun and games! They hurt! They are enduring pain and anguish and making your enemies suffer!”

 

Syrus asks, shocked, “You don't mean that! You used to care Zane! And you use to respect your opponents!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, darkly, “Respect is for losers.”

 

Syrus draws one card from his deck and says, “You're wrong! I'll prove it! My move!” Syrus puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play Pot of Greed and I draw two cards!” Syrus draws two cards from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and shouts out, “Next, I summon Cycroid in attack mode!” Just then Cycroid (800/1000) comes to the field in attack mode, Syrus puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Then I play this! A pair of Training Wheels!” Zane laughs in a dark nasty tone as a pair of training wheels appears and attached on Cycroid's back wheel. Syrus tells Zane, seriously, “Laugh all you want! We'll see who laughs last when Cycroid attack you directly! And my Submarineroid will do some damage as well so I switch him to attack mode!” Submarineroid then switches from defense to attack mode and Syrus calls out, “Now, Submarineroid and Cycroid, attack him directly! The two monsters by-pass Zane's two monsters and slam their direct attacks into Zane.

 

Hotaru calls out, happily, “Great job, Syrus!” Zane grunts as his shackles activate, shocking him, and his life-points drop by 1600, but he doesn't even flinch from the shocks and doesn't lose his sick smile.

 

Serena yells out, in disbelief, “What is the matter with this guy?! He should be feeling something!”

 

Syrus sighs and says, “Submarineroid switches to defense and Cycroid is removed from play.” Submarineroid switches from attack to defense mode, Cycroid and his equip spell leaves the field, Syrus puts them in his pocket and `out of play', and Syrus says, putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “All right, Zane, do your worst!”

Zane draws one card and says, darkly, “My worst, huh?! Be careful what you wish for Syi!” Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play Pot of Greed and I draw two more cards from my deck!” Zane draws two more cards from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and says, “And now, I summon my Cyber Dark Keel!” Soon after, Cyber Dark Keel (800/800) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Jaden says, a bit annoyed, “Sheesh! How many Cyber Dark things does one guy need?”

 

Zane then calls out, darkly, “Now, Cyber Dark Horn, destroy Submarineroid!” Cyber Dark Horn fires its attack at Submarineroid and destroys it totally.

 

Syrus shouts out, “Life-Force, activate now!” Life-Force negates the battle damage from Cyber Dark Horn's attack, but Syrus calls out in pain as the shackles shock him again with the loss of 400 more life-points.

 

Zane calls out, darkly, “Enjoying the pain, Syrus? Well, I've got more! A double direct attack!” Cyber Dark Edge and Cyber Dark Keel launch direct attacks on Syrus directly.

 

Syrus groans out, weakening from the pain, “Life-force . . . activate!” Syrus then yells out in pain and agony against as he is shocked by shackles as he loses 800 more life-points.

 

Jaden calls out, horrified, “Syrus!”

 

Serena, Darien, and Serena's three friends were also horrified and Darien says, in a serious and angered tone, “This duel is going too far! I can't believe that someone would do such a thing . . . especially to their own younger brother!”

 

Lita yells out, in a serious and angry tone, “No kidding, Darien! But what can we do to stop this?!”

 

Syrus falls to his knees, his glasses gently fall to the ground, and Zane says, darkly as he puts one card in the spell/trap slots, “I'll place one card face-down and give you a shot!”

Syrus groans out, painfully, “Zane . . . who are you . . . I don't know you anymore . . .” Syrus then says, seriously, “Well, whoever you are, I'm done with respecting you.”

 

Zane then yells out, darkly, “Good! Now, you get it! Respecting your opponent is totally pointless! You know why? Because only victors only deserve respect, Syi! As for the losers, they deserve only pain!” Serena, Jaden, and their two groups of friends with them are horrified by this `declaration' of Zane's and Zane then says, darkly, “The world is made of hurt! You either get hurt or control the hurt and inflict on the weak! You see that now, don't you? You feel it!”

 

Syrus says, weakly, “Maybe, he's right . . .”

 

Hotaru calls out to Syrus, “No, Syrus! He's wrong! Don't listen to him!”

 

Syrus looks up at Hotaru, seeing that worried look in her eyes, and then Jaden calls out, “Hotaru's right, Syrus! You have to fight the anger and rage! And remember, Zane isn't himself! You have to teach him the meaning of respect! Respect for his cards, his opponents, and himself!”

 

Syrus picks up his glass, puts them back on, gets on his feet, and tells Hotaru and Jaden, “Both of you are right. Thanks.” Syrus draws one card from his deck and gasps to see it is his Power Bond spell card. Syrus thinks in his mind, “How did my Power Bond card get in my deck? I hid it in my room.” Just then Syrus at Jaden and sees his usual grin on his lips. Syrus tells Jaden, “Jaden, I told that I wasn't ready for this card, yet.”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, with a smile, “Hey, Syi, I might have shuffled that card into your deck, but you are the one that drew it into your hand. That card chose you and you are ready to use it.”

 

Zane says, with his sick smile on his lips and dark tone in his voice, “Oh, please he doesn't have the guts!”

 

Syrus says, in a serious tone, “Oh, yeah! Well, first, Cycroid comes back to the field!” Just then Cycroid (800/1000) with its equipment spell returns to the field in attack mode. Syrus then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Power Bond! How about that?! All I have to do is send to Cycroids to the graveyard!” Syrus discards two Cycroid monster cards to the graveyard, another Cycroid appears on the field and goes into a fusion vortex with the first Cycroid, Syrus puts a fusion monster card from his fusion deck on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I play my Pair Cycroid!” Out of the fusion vortex, Pair Cycroid (ATK: 1600) comes to the field in attack mode. Syrus then says, seriously, “And thanks to Power Bond, his attack points are multiplied by two, and the only downside is I have to pay sixteen hundred life-points when I'm done!” Pair Cycroid's attack points then double from 1600 to 3200! Syrus then calls out, “Now, his ability activates! By reducing his attack points by five hundred, he can attack you directly!” Pair Cycroid's attack points drop from 3200 to 2700! Syrus then calls out, “Pair Cycroid, attack! Double Cyclone!” Pair Cycroid then moves in to attack Zane directly.

 

Hotaru exclaims, happily, “Syrus-senpai is going to win!”

 

Amara looks at Zane and says, plainly, “Don't count on it! That sicko of a brother of Syrus' is up to something!”

 

Zane push a button on his duel disk and calls out, “I play my trap! Power Wall!” Zane's face-down card is revealed to be the Power Wall trap card and Zane says, in a plain tone, “For every card in my deck that I send the graveyard, I reduced your Battle Damage by one hundred points! And I ditch twenty-seven cards!” Zane takes twenty-seven cards from his deck, leaving one card in his deck, and toss them into the air causing a shield to stop Pair Cycroid's attack.

 

Syrus puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I place one card face-down and end my turn!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, darkly, “Don't forget, like you said, Power Bond comes with a price and it is a fatal one. You have to pay sixteen hundred life-points and that's all you have left!”

 

Pair Cycroid gives a violet glow as Power Bond's negative effect was about to take effect and Syrus tells Zane, serious tone in his voice, “You forgot something, Zane! That's all you have left, too! And I play my trap! Mirror Damage!” Syrus pushes a button on his duel disk, Syrus' face-down card is revealed to be Mirror Damage trap card, and Syrus says, “All right, this gets complicated. Since Pair Cycroid's attack points are coming out of my life-points, I can reflect that damage back to you!” A pair of mirror appears on Pair Cycroid and the mirror's images are directly at Zane. Syrus tells Zane, with a sly smile, “Nice try, Zane! You put up a good fight, but it wasn't good enough!”

 

As Power Bond's negative effect turns back to Zane, he exclaims, in a dark serious tone, “We'll see! I play my Fusion Guard!” Zane pushes a button on his duel disk and his face-down card is revealed to be the Fusion Guard trap card and he says, “Now, by sending a Fusion monster to my graveyard, I'm safe! And your time is up!” Zane then sends his Cyber End Dragon (4000/2800) Fusion monster card to his graveyard and the damage from Power Bond's negative effect, reflected at him is negated.

Syrus tells Zane, seriously and a bit nervously, “Your move!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, “I have one card left! One card and I will still win!”

 

Syrus tells Zane, in a plain tone, “You might.”

 

Zane draws one card from his deck and says, darkly, “Let's find out!” Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play Warp Beam! Now, I'll pick two monsters on the field! Who should I choose? I think I'll choose my Cyber Dark Horn and Cyber Dark Keel! Next, I'll send two monsters to the graveyard and the fun can begin!” Zane then sends his Infernal Dragon equipped to Cyber Dark Horn and Exploder Dragon equipped to Cyber Dark Edge to the graveyard, reducing Cyber Dark Horn's and Cyber Dark Edge's stats back to 800/800! Zane then tells Syrus, “Their attack points are reduced down to six hundred, but they can attack you directly! Plus, by cutting his attack points in half, my Dark Edge can attack you directly too!” Cyber Dark Horn's and Cyber Dark Keel's stats reduced down to 600/800 each and Cyber Dark Edge's stats reduce down to 400/800!

 

Syrus think in his mind, “If I use Life-Force to survive this triple attack, Zane will have no cards left and I'll win!”

 

Zane tells Syrus, with his sick smile on his lips, “This is going to hurt you than it is going to hurt me!” All three Cyber Dark monsters then launch their direct attacks against Syrus.

 

Syrus calls out, in a serious tone, “I play my Life-Force! So, I play 400 life-points to stop each monster in their tracks!” All three attacks slam into Syrus, but his Life-Force trap creates a shield that negates their attack. However, Syrus yells out in pain as he is shocked by the shackles as his life-points drop down by 1200 points.

 

Jaden yells out, “Syrus, stay strong!”

 

Tyranno calls out, encouraging, “You are home free soldier!”

 

After the shocks are done, Syrus says, weakly, “I did it . . .”

 

Zane pushes a button on his duel disk and says, “Not quite. I play my trap! Rebirth Judgment!” Zane's face-down trap card is revealed to be the Rebirth Judgment continuous trap card and Zane tells Syrus, in a dark serious tone, “With this card, I can change the monsters in our graveyard into any type that I choose! So, they all become dragons!”

 

Serena asks, perplexed, “What's the point of that? He can't attack anymore.”

 

Amara tells Serena, in a plain tone, “Don't count on it, princess. Something tells me that he can.”

 

Zane puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Instant Fusion spell card! So, I send my Horn, my Edge, and my Keel to the grave!” The three said monsters vanishes in streams of light as Zane puts a fusion monster card on his duel disk and calls out, “Now, I play my Cyber Dark Dragon!” Soon after, Cyber Dark Dragon (1000/1000) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Syrus asks Zane, “Why did you need that Rebirth card, Zane? I don't get it. Why play it?”

 

Zane tells Syrus, in a dark tone and with a sick grin on his lips, “Simple. Now, every single monster in my grave are dragons, so, my Dark Dragon can absorb any of them and I choose my Cyber End Dragon!” Soon after, Zane's graveyard gives a bright glow, Cyber End Dragon appears, and Cyber Dark Dragon traps it in its claws and puts IV wires into its center head causing its stats to rise from 1000/1000 to 5000/1000! Zane then says, “Plus, my Cyber Dark Dragon gains one hundred attack points for every single card in my grave and since I've got thirty-eight cards in the grave, you are out of luck.” Cyber Dark Dragon's stats then rise again from 5000/1000 to 8800/1000!

 

Lita shouts out, horrified, “Oh shit! Nearly nine thousand attack points!”

 

Hotaru says, solemnly, “Poor Syrus.”

 

Aster says, plainly, “It's over. Even if he plays Life-Force, his life-points will drop to zero.”

 

Zane shouts out, seriously, “It has been a blast, but now, it is time that I end this duel! Cyber Dark Dragon, attack!” Cyber Dark Dragon gives out its hellish roar at Syrus' Pair Cycroid.

 

Syrus shouts out, pushing a button on his duel disk, “I've still got a face-down left! Now, I play Emergency Provisions!” Syrus' face-down card is revealed to be Emergency Provisions quick spell card and Syrus calls out, “By sacrificing one spell or trap card on my field, I can regain one thousand life-points and I choose to discard my Mirror Damage causing my monster to go with it!” Syrus' Mirror Damage was destroyed along with his Pair Cycroid, Syrus' life-points increase by 1000, and Syrus then says, seriously, “Now, thanks to Life-Force, your attack does no damage!” Syrus' Life-Force negates the attack of Zane's Cyber Dark Dragon and yells out and closes his eyes in pain from the shock that he gets from losing 400 life-points. Syrus then says, weakly, “All right, that hurt, but I did it.” However, Syrus gasps in shock to see a hologram of De-Fusion quick spell card on his brother's side of the field and Syrus says, stunned, “De-Fusion?”

 

On Zane's side of the Cyber Dark Horn (800/800), Cyber Dark Edge (800/800), and Cyber Dark Keel (800/800) have returned and Zane says, in a dark tone and with his sick smile, “That's right! I told you that I win! Well, Syi, SO LONG!!!” All three monsters launch another attack on Syrus and all attacks connect this time, hard, and Syrus yells out in extreme pain as he loses 2400 life-points, ending the duel!

Zane: 1600

 

With the duels end, Syrus collapses to the ground on his stomach, leaving Syrus' friends, old and new, shocked, stunned, horrified, and a combination of two or more of these emotions, the final holograms fade from the field, and Zane just walks off, leaving Syrus face-down on the concrete.

 

Tyranno and Lita yell out, horrified, “Hey!”

 

Jaden calls out, horrified, “Syrus!” Serena, Hotaru, Amara, Darien, Hotaru, Jaden, and Tyranno immediately rush over to the fallen Syrus and Jaden quickly turns Syrus around, asking him, worriedly, “Syrus, are you okay?”

 

Syrus replies, weakly, “Where . . . is my brother?”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, worriedly, “He already left, Syi.”

 

Syrus replies, weakly, “No . . . he can't . . . I'm not finished . . . yet . . .” Soon after, Syrus quickly falls into total unconsciousness and Lita's anger really explodes.

 

Lita yells out, angrily, “That son of a bitch! He puts his own little brother through a sick duel and leaves him to fend for himself?! I'm going to make him pay for this!”

 

Darien tells Lita, seriously, “There is no time for that! We need to tend to his wounds immediately.”

 

Lita then states, serious tone in her voice, “But first, let's get these damned shackles off him!” Lita quickly unsnaps and removes all three shackles from Syrus' arms and neck and throws him away as far as she can throw.

 

Serena tells Hotaru, worriedly, “Hotaru-chan, can you . . .?”

 

Hotaru nods her head and replies, “Don't worry, I will try Serena-hime.” Hotaru then puts her hands over Syrus' body, she gives off a bright glow, and soon enough, Syrus' electric burns and wounds are healed as well as his energy is restored.

 

Syrus groans as he slowly opens his eyes and says, weakly, “What . . . What happened?”

 

Jaden exclaims, happily, “Syi, you're okay!”

 

Serena says, relieved, “Thank goodness.”

 

Amara tells Hotaru, with a smile, “You did great, Firefly.”

 

Hotaru tells Amara, with her smile through her breathing was a bit more accelerated because of the energy drain using her healing powers, “Thank you, Amara-papa.”

 

Quickly, the group helps Syrus to his feet and Syrus asks Jaden, “What happened? Where did Zane get to?”

 

Lita replies, “That asshole of brother took off the instant the duel ended!”

 

Jaden looks in the direction that Zane left and says, amazed, “He's gone. He really moves fast.”

 

Syrus lowers his head and says, solemnly, “Oh, man. I didn't get through to him at all, did I?”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, with a smile, “Look on the bright side, Syi. You finally stood up to your brother and you nearly won.”

 

Syrus says, solemnly, “I guess . . .”

 

Hotaru tells Syrus, in a comforting tone, “It's okay, Syrus-senpai. I'm sure that there is still good in your brother.”

 

Syrus tells Hotaru, with a smile, “Thanks, Hotaru. And plus, I'm guessing that you healed my wounds.”

 

Hotaru replies, with a slight blush on her cheeks, “It was nothing.”

 

Darien says, in a serious and amazed tone, “I can't believe that someone can change so radically.”

 

Amara tells Darien, in a plain tone, “I'm not too surprised. I've heard about the Underground Dueling Circuit. When you are someone like me, you hear about these things. Those types of duels are a terrible perversion of the real game of Duel Monsters. I heard rumors that they set up their duels that way to make their duels seem similar to the Battle City duels that Yugi Moto faced and have duelist put their lives on the line. However, based on what I learned about Zane Truesdale, even I'm shocked to see someone like him turn into a cruel monster such he is now. I thought that he would be stronger than that, but then again, I've learned to expect the unexpected.”

 

Serena asks Darien and Amara, a bit concerned, “Is there anyway to get him back to the way that he was?”

 

Darien tells Serena, in a serious tone, “I'm not sure, Serena. Zane's mind and heart has embraced the darkness and evil within him and he is deep inside of a dark abyss. He is so deep inside of it, there might be for him to see the warmth and light again. However, if I learned anything, no one is beyond salvation. You've saved me, Rini, and others from the most powerful mind-control and possession by dark forces. There is always a way, but right now, I'm sure where the good in Zane Truesdale lies.”

 

Amara tells Serena, “Plus, there is another problem. What if someone like Beryl or the Light of Destruction tries to get their hands on him?”

 

Serena says, lowly and worriedly, “That's something that I don't want to think about.” However, what the group doesn't know is that a youma watched the whole scene `play out' before it and it vanishes before Amara can detect it.

 

(Returning to Queen Beryl; A short time soon after)

 

Back to the unknown location that serves as Queen Beryl's temporary base, we find laughing in evil glee as she witness the whole duel between Zane and Syrus through her crystal ball.

 

Queen Beryl exclaims, with an evil smile on her lips, “Yes! Yes! Yes! He is the one! Such malice! Such cruelty! He is the one that I need!” Queen Beryl then calls out, in a serious tone, “Jadeite!”

 

Jadeite then appears before Queen Beryl and says, in an emotionless tone, “Yes, my queen.” Jadeite's eyes were life-less and blank and he gives off an emotionless expression.

 

Queen Beryl tells Jadeite, “We have found the one that evil within their heart that can weld the Sacred Beast cards when we get them! Bring him to need! Bring me Zane Truesdale, the Hell Kaiser of Duel Academy!”

 

Jadeite replies, emotionlessly, “Yes, my queen. At once.” Jadeite then vanishes as he teleports away to get Zane for Queen Beryl.

 

Queen Beryl says, with an evil sly grin, “He will be the perfect warrior for the next generation of Shadow Games that I'll unleash on the world! With the powers of the Sacred Beasts, I will rebuild the Negaverse, conquer Earth, and that damned Moon Princess, her brother, and all of their loved ones and friends will fall by my hands! Beware, Prince Judai and Princess Serenity, your time will soon come!” Queen Beryl then starts to mechanically laugh evilly, once more, as her thoughts of victory race into her mind.

 

(Later that afternoon; Inside of Chancellor Sheppard's office)

 

We find Doctor Crowler and Vice-Chancellor Bonaparte entering Chancellor Sheppard's room to report to Chancellor Sheppard, but they gasp to only find Serena Tsukino, Jaden Yuki, Tyranno Hassleberry, Rei Hino, and Mina Aino sitting on a couch near his large television screen while Trista Meiou and Darien Shields are organizing his paperwork.

 

Crowler yells out, annoyed and surprised, “What are all of you doing here?!”

 

Rei tells Crowler, in her usual manner, “Don't get your ponytail in a twist, Crowler! Chancellor Sheppard had to take off for a meeting with Maxamillion Pegasus and left Darien and Trista in charge while he is gone.

Crowler asks, perplexed, “Maxamillion Pegasus?! But why does the leader of Industrial Illusions want to meet with Chancellor Sheppard?”

 

Mina shrugs her shoulders and says, “Wish that we knew. However, he told us that it was very important.”

 

Bonaparte calls out, a bit annoyed, “But hold on! I'm the Vice-Chancellor! Why shouldn't I have been left in charge while Sheppard is away?!”

 

Serena tells Bonaparte, “Um, I hate to break it to you, but your record of keeping things in line isn't so good.”

 

Rei tells them, annoyed, “Remember the Society of Light, Sartorius, and the Light of Destruction? Not to mention of the rumors about you, two, trying to destroy the Slifer Red dorm?” Crowler and Bonaparte jump in shock as they yelp out in surprise.

 

Crowler yells out, in a serious tone and pointing to Bonaparte, “Well, it was mainly Bonaparte's idea and I helped keep the Slifer Red dorm safe!”

 

Rei then says, in a serious tone, “Yeah, but you didn't do a thing to stop the Society of Light bullying other students into their damn cult or stop Sartorius in any of his actions, including brainwashing our friends, Ami Mizuno and Hotaru Tomoe! So, we, Serena and the rest of us, had to step in to clean up your mess! You are just lucky that you had Jaden to keep the Society in check long enough for us to come here and help out! You didn't do a thing against the Society of Light while the rest of us rallied the students against them, slowed them down from doing anymore damage until this tournament, and finally, uniting all of the students, again, and taking down that rotten white cult! And one more thing, who allowed Sartorius into Duel Academy in the first place and don't give us that `he brainwashed us' trick!” Crowler and Bonaparte lower their heads solemnly knowing that Rei has plenty of unarguable points.

 

Tyranno tells Rei, “Stand down, ma'am! Forget about them! The championship match is on today!”

 

Crowler and Bonaparte exclaim in unison, “THE Championship match?!”

 

Jaden nods his head and says, “Yep! The D against Doctor Collector!”

 

Crowler yells out, “Oh, wow!”

 

Bonaparte calls out, excitedly, “Can't miss this! This is an event of a life-time!” Bonaparte and Crowler quickly find a few comfy chairs and pull up to the television screen.

 

Mina exclaims, a bit annoyed, “Hey! Who invited you?!” Soon after, Tyranno turns on the television and the television screen displays a picture of the Kaiba Dome.

 

The newscaster, a male voice, calls out from the screen, “Today is the big day! After four years, The D is defending his world championing title!”

 

Jaden says, excitedly, “This is so sweet!”

 

Serena nods her head and says, also excitedly, “You said it! Wow! This is going to be so cool!”

 

Mina says, with her usual tone, “I heard The D is a real cute guy!”

 

Rei yells out, annoyed, “Oh boy! Give me a break Mina!”

 

Bonaparte states, annoyed, “Well, I think that The D should have come here!”

 

Rei tells Bonaparte, in her usual tone, “Give me a break! Why would a famous Pro Duelist like The D come here?!”

 

Bonaparte tells Rei, in a confident tone, “Well, I know someone that knows The D very well.”

 

Mina asks, perplexed, “You do?!”

 

Crowler replies, in a plain tone, “Aster. Not only are they are friends, but The D is Aster's legal guardian.”

 

Tyranno yells out, shocked, “You mean that The D is Aster's pappy?!”

 

Crowler tells Tyranno, in a plain tone, “Step-father, actually. Remember, Aster's real father vanished.”

 

Jaden says, amazed, “Wow. Aster only told us half of the story during our second duel.”

 

(Within the Kaiba Dome; around that same time)

 

Inside of the Kaiba dome, we find a youthful man with black hair that's well-combed, square glass in front of his brown eyes, black shirt under a light brown formal suit, light brown formal pants, and dark brown formal shoes. He is sitting down in a comfy chair while a dark brown suitcase is sideways on a glass table and the man seems to be keeping his right hand from reaching out for whatever is inside that suitcase.

 

He says to himself, straining, “No . . . that card is too dangerous . . . I can't use it . . . It needs to be sealed away . . .”

 

Just then an evil voice calls out from the room that sounds like his voice, “What's wrong, D? This card gave you everything and now, you are afraid to use it.” Just the man, revealed to be the World Champion of the Pro Leagues, known simply as The D, looks into the mirror, but his reflection is showing a `version' of himself with spiked hair and a pure evil look in his eye. The D's `evil counterpart' tells him, from the mirror, in an evil tone and with an evil smirk, “You should know that this could be your last duel.”

 

The D asks his evil counterpart, “My last duel . . .?”

 

The D's evil counterpart replies, in an evil tone, “That's right! After ten years, your assignment is nearly complete! So, do not fear. Your pain, your suffering, your guilt . . . It is all about to end.” The D then slams his right fist into the suitcase causing the glass table to break and the suitcase to slam into the floor with The D's fist imprinted into the cover. The force was so strong that the case was open, revealing a Duel Monsters' card, and The D picks up the card, but this time, The D looks exactly like his evil counterpart and he says, in his evil counterpart's voice, “Now, it is time to end what I started ten years ago!”

 

(Sometime later; in the dueling arena of the Kaiba Dome)

 

Within the dueling arena of the Kaiba Dome, we find audience seats filled to capacity as the `event' was about to begin and the announcer prepares to introduce the duelists.

 

The announcer yells out, in an excited tone, “All right, folks, the event that we've all been waiting for! After four years, The D is going to defend his championship title! But first, we introduce the challenger! Coming to you from prison and with an IQ of over two hundred and two: Doctor Collector!” The lights then shine down a man with well-tanned skin, bald on the top of his head, dark grey hair flowing back from the top of his head, large dark grey beard, dark grey mustache, he is bare-foot, wearing an orange prison uniform, and a straight jacket. The crowd starts to `boo' and throw negative comments at Doctor Collector and he then strains to break the straight jacket on his person and he then shatters the straight jacket to pieces, shocking and horrifying the crowd. The announcer calls out, to reassure the crowd, “Don't worry, folks, we are under tight security tonight!”

 

(Around this very same time; Back in Chancellor Sheppard's office)

 

On the meanwhile, our heroes and heroines witness this `event' on Chancellor Sheppard's large television screen and Serena and Mina yelp back in shock from seeing Doctor Collector's physical abilities in action.

 

Serena yells out, surprised, “Yipe! This guy is strong!”

 

Mina nods her head and says, “And smart from what I heard!”

 

Tyranno nods his head and says, “Yeah! I heard that he is so smart that the FBI in the United States is using him for crime solving!”

 

Serena asks, surprised, “Whoa! No joke?!”

 

Mina then says, scoffing, “Ha! I bet our Ami could beat him with both her arms behind her back and using only a pen, paper, and some basic information about a crime.”

 

(Back inside of the Kaiba Dome; shortly thereafter)

 

Returning to the Kaiba Dome, we find the spotlights shinning down on another figure as he rises from below onto the dueling arena of the Kaiba Dome.

 

The announcer calls out, in an excited tone, “And now, for our champion! He has been ruling the duel for ten years! The Pro League World Champion: The D!” Soon after, the light within the dome return to the normal to show The D in his full glory and he looks back to his `good self' with a duel disk that has a dueling deck inside attached to his left arm. On the meanwhile, the crowd cheers for The D and he gives a calm and emotionless look.

 

Doctor Collector, who also has a duel disk with a dueling deck inside attached to his left arm, tells The D, “You had better get used to lights on your face, D, because tonight this is going to be the last time that they shine on you!”

 

The D closes his eyes, gives a sly smile, and says, “You're right. This is the end . . . of everything, including you!”

 

When The D's eyes shoot open, Doctor Collector asks, curiously, “Why is that?!”

 

The D replies, in a serious tone, “Why don't I show you?!” The D and Doctor Collector activate their duel disk and draw their first five cards as they prepare to duel.

Doctor Collector tells The D, “Well, what are we waiting for?!”

 

The D draws one card from his deck and states, in a serious tone, “You are in a hurry to lose!” The D puts one card on his duel disk and says, putting one card on his duel disk, “I play Enigma, the Creator!” Soon after, Enigma, the Creator (1200/1200) comes to the field in defense mode. The D puts one card face-down and says, “I'll place one card face-down and defer to you.”

 

Doctor Collector draws one card from his deck and says, “You know, D, those wrinkles on your forehead gives you away. It tells me that you were worried earlier today, but then again, when dealing with an opponent that's superior to you, why wouldn't you be?”

 

The D tells Doctor Collector, with a sly grin on his lips, “Thanks for the information, doc, but I wasn't worried about you.”

 

Doctor Collector puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “You will be when I play this: The Dimensional Fissure!” Just then a huge triangle-shaped hole in space above Doctor Collector and Doctor Collector says, seriously, “As long as this card remains on the field, all monsters sent the graveyard will be removed from the game.” Doctor Collector puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I'll play Graceful Charity! Now, I draw three cards from my deck and discard two from my hand!” Doctor Collector draws three cards from his deck, then displays a Cosmo Queen (2900/2450) and Magician Valkyria (1600/1800) monster card, and Doctor Collector says, “And just so you know, they are both monster cards, so, they are removed from the game!” Doctor Collector throws the two cards into the fissure as they are removed from play. Doctor Collector puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I play Mining for Magic Stones! By discarding two cards from my hand, I can bring a spell card back to my hand!” Doctor Collector discards his Monster Reincarnation spell card to the graveyard and sends another Magician Valkyria (1600/1800) monster card out of play, takes his Graceful Charity spell card into his hand, and puts that card in the spell/trap slots, saying, “And I choose my Graceful Charity! And if you don't mind, I will play it again! I draw three cards from my deck . . .” Doctor Collector draws three cards from his deck, displays a Magician Valkyria (1600/1800) monster card and Ebon Magician Curran (1200/0) monster card, and says, “And two more go to the create void!” Doctor Collector then sends the two cards into the large fissure above him. Doctor Collector tells The D, “If you hadn't noticed, I removed five monsters from the game! Know why?”

 

The D replies, sarcastically, “Because you are a psychopathic criminal that doesn't know any better! But please, continue, I will take a nap.”

 

Doctor Collector puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “A nap? Then you won't see the defeat that I'm going to hand you! You will have plenty of time to nap when I win. And I will with this . . . my Dimension Fusion card! At a cost of two thousand life-points, I can summon all of the monsters that I've removed from the game!” Just then bright lights flash over the whole of the field and Doctor Collector yells out, “Come on out, Cosmo Queen!” Soon after, Cosmo Queen (2900/2450) appears on the field in attack mode. Doctor Collector then calls out, “Magician Valkyria! Oh, heck, I will play three of those!” Soon after, three Magician Valkyria (1600/1800 X 3) appears on the field in attack mode. Doctor Collector then shouts out, “And Ebon Magician Curran!” And the final monster that Doctor Collector removed from play, Ebon Magician Curran (1200/0), comes to the field in attack mode.

As they watched the championship duel on Chancellor Sheppard's television, Serena, Mina, Rei, Tyranno, Jaden, Crowler, and Bonaparte are amazed by Doctor Collector's skills.

 

Mina exclaims, amazed, “That guy might be a criminal, but he isn't a dummy when it comes to Duel Monsters!”

 

Rei nods her head in agreement and says, “No kidding! The D is trapped!”

 

Serena nods her head and says, “That's right! With those Magician Valkyria on the field, The D can't attack any other Spellcaster monsters, but with those three on the field, we can't attack any of those monsters at all since they protect each other and the other two Spellcasters, that Cosmo Queen and Ebon Magician Curran, from any attacks! And thanks to that little Curran monster, every time that crook has a Standby Phase, The D loses three hundred life-points for every monster on the field!”

 

Crowler yells out, amazed, “The Collector took all of The D's options away!”

 

Jaden says, awe-struck, “There is a new champ in town!”

 

(Returning to the Kaiba Dome; A brief time soon after)

 

Back inside of the Kaiba Dome, The D with his only one monster and one face-down card stares down the five Spellcaster monsters that Doctor Collector has.

 

Doctor Collector tells him, “Get ready to lose, D! But think of it this way: At least, I didn't drag out your suffering!” Doctor Collector then calls out, “Now, Cosmo Queen, de-throne him! Cosmic Nova!” Cosmo Queen launches a sphere of black energy right at The D's monster.

 

The D pushes a button on his duel disk and says, “I play my trap! Negate Attack!” The D's face-down card is revealed to be the Negate Attack trap card and a huge whirlwind comes to the field to negate Cosmo Queen's attack. The D then says, in a serious tone, “Thanks to this, your attack is stopped and plus, you can't attack me anymore this turn!”

 

Doctor Collector tells The D, “You are just delaying the inevitable. My next turn is around the corner and my Cosmo Queen is ready to take you down, but by that time, you will be much weaker.” Doctor Collector puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play my Magician Blast spell card! So, you will be taking two hundred life-points of damage for every Spellcaster on my side of the field!” Just then a sphere of energy slams into The D and he calls out in shock as his life-points are dropped by 1000. Doctor Collector puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I'll place one card face-down and take a break.”

Doctor Collector: 4000

The D: 3000

 

Doctor Collector thinks in his mind, “With my Nightmare Wheel trap card on the field, I'll be the new `King of the Ring'.” Doctor Collector yells out, in a serious tone, “All right, D, it is time to hand over your cape and specter!” Just then Doctor Collector gasps in shock when he sees The D giggling in an evil tone and he has changed into his `evil persona' while his body started to glow with a familiar sickly white light and his eyes become blood red.

 

The D, in his `evil persona', says, in his evil persona's voice and in an evil sly tone, “That fool, he has no clue. So, let us enlighten him! It is time that he is shown the truth! He is in for a shock!”

 

Doctor Collector asks, perplexed, “Who are you talking to, D?”

 

The Evil D tells Doctor Collector, in an evil sly tone, “Where are my manners? My friend has just arrived and I didn't introduce you. Doctor Collector meet the most powerful force in the universe: Darklight.”

 

Doctor Collector says, “And they called me crazy. How can light be dark?”

 

The Evil D says, in a evil tone, “His eyes are blind. Let's open them!” Just then the sickly white light gives off a more powerful glow and a huge wind covers the whole of the inside of the stadium, causing the audience to gasp in shock and fear.

 

Doctor Collector yells out, “It's . . . It's too bright!”

 

The Evil D draws one card from his deck and says, evilly, “Just you wait!” The Evil D puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play these guys! Two Fiend's Sanctuary spell cards! They allow me to summon two Metal Fiend Tokens to the field!” Just then two Metal Fiend Tokens (0/0 X 2) comes to the field in attack mode. The Evil D then displays a spell card with a picture of an orange background with huge black `D' in the center and Evil D says, evilly, “Next, I play my D-Force!” The Evil D puts the spell card on the top of his deck and he exclaims, in a very evil sly tone, “Ready, my friend, to see the light?! Now, I sacrifice my three monsters to summon my ultimate monster!” Just then Evil D's three monsters are sacrifice and a bright white light covers the whole of the field.

 

(Back in Duel Academy; A short time soon after)

 

At the moment that Evil D plays his card, the whole of the screen became blank and Serena, Rei, Mina, Darien, Trista, Crowler, and Bonaparte were staring at the screen in shock!

 

Bonaparte yells out, stunned, “What?! What just happened?! The screen just went blank!”

 

Serena yells out, horrified, “Jaden! Girls! Did you see what I just saw?!”

 

Jaden tells Serena, “If you mean seeing the Light of Destruction possessing The D, then yes I did!”

 

Mina asks, perplexed, “Hold on! I thought that Sartorius was the host for this `Light of Destruction'! How can the World Champion be infused with it?!”

 

Rei says, in a serious tone, “I'm not sure . . .” Just then Rei gasps as images fill her mind and Rei then sees images of Aster Phoenix dueling against Evil D and Aster and his Destiny Heroes are struggling against Evil D covered in the aura of the Light of Destruction and a monster that's shrouded, but also possessing the evil Darklight.

 

Rei looked `spaced out' and Serena asks Rei, “Rei, what's wrong?”

 

Rei says, lowly, “Aster . . .”

 

Jaden overhears this and asks, shocked, “What? Aster?” Just then Rei runs over to the screen windows, kicks them open, and takes out her Eternal Tier henshin wand.

 

“Mars Eternal Power, Make-up!”

 

Our miko is bathed in bright red light that forces everyone else to cover their eyes as her Ra Yellow uniform melts away and is replaced by a sailor fuku. Soon after the bright light dies down, our group opens their eyes to see Eternal Sailor Mars quickly flying off into the distance.

 

Mina yells out, perplexed, “What's going on?! Why did Rei take off like that?!”

 

Serena tells Mina, confused herself, “You got that me! What is up with her?!”

 

Trista tells Serena and Mina, “Remember, Rei is a Shinto Priestess with great spiritual and physic powers and she must have gotten a vision of the future about Aster Phoenix.”

 

Mina says, plainly, “It must have been pretty bad for her to run . . . I mean fly off like that.”

 

Darien states, in a serious tone, “Wait! Remember that story that Mizuchi told you, Jaden?”

 

Jaden nods his head and states, “Yeah, but why . . .?”

 

Just then Serena asks, shocked, “Wait a minute! Darien, are you saying that mysterious person that gave Sartorius that card that contained the Light of Destruction could have been The D?”

 

Mina exclaims, stunned, “The D was responsible for Aster's father's disappearance?!”

 

Trista tells Mina, “Possessed by the Light of Destruction, it is very likely that he is responsible for this and it could be possible that Aster Phoenix might be next.”

 

Jaden exclaims, horrified, “Oh no! We've got to warn him!” Soon after, Jaden, Tyranno, Serena, Mina, Darien, and Trista head out of the office while leaving a confused Crowler and Bonaparte in their wake.

 

(Somewhere in the middle of the ocean; during the late evening hours)

 

In the late evening hours, we find Aster Phoenix going on a huge luxury ship and going down the hallways looking for someone. Aster is looking for his legal guardian, The D, and wanted to ask him if he was okay since he was watching the television screen and wanted to ask him what happened as well as with that strange `white light' and Aster doesn't know that it was the Light of Destruction, even through he knew about from the other heroes and heroines. Aster then enters a huge hall and sees a familiar figure in the shadows, namely The D, through his features can't be completely seen.

 

The D tells Aster, in his evil persona's voice, “Hello, Aster.”

 

Aster tells The D, with a smile, “Hey, D, glad to see that you are okay. What happened during that duel? Did you win?”

 

The D steps forward Aster and says, in an evil sly tone, “Did I win? Aster, he didn't stand a chance.”

 

Aster tells The D, with a smile, “Great! I knew it! How did you do it?!”

 

The D replies, with an evil smile, “Well, like I said, he didn't stand a chance . . . when I unleashed my secret weapon.” Just then The D describes in detail about what happened, including the fire and Doctor Collector's horrible defeat. When The D was done, Aster gasps in shock and horror.

 

Aster yells out, “How could that have happened?!”

 

Just then a familiar female voice yells out, “Aster, get away from him!” The D and Aster look to the source of the voice to see none other than Eternal Sailor Mars in front of him.

 

Aster says, surprised, “R-I mean Sailor Mars!”

 

Sailor Mars yells out, “Aster, get away from him! He's dangerous! He's possessed by the Light of Destruction!”

 

Aster calls out, perplexed, “Say what?!”

 

The D tells Aster, “You should listen to your little girlfriend, Aster, my boy.” Just then all of the doors in the large room of the luxury ship close including the one that was behind Sailor Mars and Aster.

 

Aster yells out, stunned, “Hey! What's going on here?!”

 

The D tells Aster, in an evil tone, “All of the doors are locked and the only way that you can get out is through the door behind me.”

 

Aster tells The D, in a serious tone, “What is it you want D?”

 

The D holds up a Duel Monsters' card and states, “It is not what I want, Aster. It is what the light wants and my boy, I'm afraid that the light wants you.” The D then says, motioning to the card, “However, I believe that you were looking for this card. I'm told that you were searching a long time for it.”

 

Aster gasps in shock, knowing what The D is implying, and he exclaims, in a rare flabbergasted tone, “No way! You mean that you are . . .?!”

 

The D tells Aster, in an evil tone, “Yes, Aster. The man that took your father . . . WAS IN FACT ME!!!” Just then The D was fully revealed and he is in his `evil persona' as he laughs evilly as a shocked Sailor Mars and Aster stared at him as they prepare for their next challenge to come . . .

 

Next time in Chapter 11: Challenge the Chosen Duelists: On The D's luxury ship, The D, taken over by his evil persona, tells Aster and Sailor Mars of how he got his hands on the Ultimate Destiny card and what happened on that night when he got possessed by the Light of Destruction. Soon after, Aster and The D go off into a fateful duel, but with the power of the Ultimate Destiny Card, Destiny Hero Plasma, and his D-Force spell card making this ultimate Destiny Hero invincible, Aster has a major uphill battle to fight and during this duel, Aster learns the shocking truth about where his father really is! On the meanwhile, after Rei's sudden departure, the rest of our Moon Kingdom Sailor Senshi, Darien, Jaden, Alexis, Bastion, Syrus, and Tyranno assemble together to try to figure out where to find our fiery Sailor Senshi has gotten to, but they are interrupt by Linda, Prince Ojin of the Misgarth Kingdom's personal female assistant, who tells that she knows who they are really are and she need their help! She reveals that Prince Ojin was brainwashed by Sartorius/Light of Destruction and she has sent him to get the keys from Jaden and Serena. Jaden plans to duel him to free him from the evil Darklight's control, but he's got even bigger worries. Queen Beryl brings Zane into her base and convinces him to join his side, by giving him a promise that his `Hell Kaiser' persona can't refuse. The Zodiac Sailor Scouts, who are guarding the keys to the Spirit Gates, are attacked by Queen Beryl's youma, but it proved to be a ruse when Zane sneaks into the hiding spot and steals the seven keys. He unlocks the Spirit Gates and steals the Sacred Beast cards! Now, our heroes and heroines on Academy Island split up to take care of the double threat. Serena takes Jaden's place battling against Prince Ojin and his Satellite deck while Jaden Yuki prepares for his greatest duel yet when he has to duel Zane with his new Sacred Beast Underworld deck, infused with the powers of the Sacred Beasts and the Cyber Dark monsters! Can our three Chosen Duelists defeat the enemies standing before them and protect mankind from their evil?! Find out on the next Destiny Stars, coming up!

 

Sorry that this took over a month to get out to everyone, but my life has been quite hectic as of late, including `Real World' work that I had to get done and a brand new story that I have as well trying to update other `old stories' that I haven't updated in months! Plus, I have a new Yu-Gi-Oh GX/Sailor Moon crossover story in the works! For those of you that didn't get to that story, yet, it is known as Yu-Gi-Oh GX Stars: Darkness Moon, which is another Yu-Gi-Oh GX Season Two/Sailor Moon crossover story, but also includes Inuyasha and Yu-Yu-Hakusho crossover as well. It is totally unrelated to this story and it is much `darker' than this story. Check it out if you want to and didn't already check out that story already. Anyway, what do you think of this chapter?
