Well, I'm sorry that it took so long to get the last chapter out, but thanks to flawed computer floppy disks and `Real World' situations, mainly school-related, that's why it took so long to get. However, I am glad that there were plenty of readers that liked the chapter. Thank you for the positive reviews and it is your reviewing that allows me to know how I am doing with this story as well as keep this story going. However, my finals are coming in early May and I will have to study for them, so, this chapter might be the last chapter before the summer months of June, July, and August. Chapter 11: Challenge the Chosen Duelists

 

(Aboard The D's luxury ship; Shortly after leaving Sailor Mars and Aster)

 

Deep inside of The D's private luxury ship, Aster's step-father, in his evil persona, reveals that it was he that stole the Ultimate Destiny Hero card and took his Aster's father from Aster directly to Eternal Sailor Mars and Aster himself.

 

Sailor Mars yells out, in a serious tone, “So, it was you that took Aster's father away from him?!”

 

The D replies, with an evil smile and tone, “Indeed, Sailor Mars. Or do you prefer Rei Hino instead?”

 

Aster and Sailor Mars gasp in shock and Sailor Mars exclaims, shocked, “How do you know who I am?”

 

The D replies, evilly, “The light knows of you well.”

 

Sailor Mars asks, seriously, “You mean the Light of Destruction, don't you?”

 

The D tells Sailor Mars, in an evil tone, “Indeed, Sailor Mars. Do you wish I tell you how I came in contact with the strongest power in the universe and gained the Ultimate Destiny card?”

 

Aster replies, sarcastically and angrily, “Enlighten us, D.”

 

The D tells Aster and Sailor Mars, in an evil tone, “It happened ten years ago. I was a duelist down on his luck. Just then I had unofficially met Aster when a picture of his father's Ultimate Destiny card flew in my face. Aster took the picture and cheerfully told me about it. I was very much interested and I knew that I had to make the card mine . . .”

 

Flashback; Ten years ago at Aster's original home

 

Within Aster's house, we find a figure entering through a broken screen door window and into Aster's home with a black suit, dark brown mop-top hat, and black glasses over his eyes along with a slightly forming beard on his chin. It was the younger D forcibly entering Aster's home to get steal the Ultimate Destiny card. He goes to a computer desk, looks through the desk drawers, and finds what he is looking for.

 

D says, quietly, “Ah, found it.”

 

Just then a flashlight shines in his eyes and a voice calls out, “Who's there?! Aster, is that you?!” D turns to the source of the voice to see a man with well-combined black, square glass over his brown eyes, wearing a dark red formal sleeveless shirt, light blue pants, and black formal shoes. The man asks D, in a demanding tone, “Hey! Who are you?! What are you doing here?!”

 

D replies, “I'm just a fan. I'm here to purchase your latest card.”

 

The man tells D, in a serious tone, “That card is not for sale!”

 

D replies, “Oh, well. On to plan B: I'll steal it!”

 

The man yells out, seriously, “No, you can't take it! That card is too dangerous! Put it down!”

 

D tells the man, with an evil grin, “Dangerous? Why do you think that I want it?!”

 

Just then an evil voice calls out, “And that power you desire will be yours!” D gasps in shock and looks to see the card is glowing. The evil voice says, from the card, “I've been looking for an evil heart to awaken me!” Just then a ghostly black hand comes out from the card and slams into D's face causing him to stubble and gasp as he tries to get the hand off of his face.

 

The man goes over to D and asks him, “Hey, are you all right?” However, D knocks the man down to the ground causing him to knock down one of the cabinets on the desk, spilling some Duel Monsters' cards on the ground, and one of the cards is Destiny Hero-Dreadmaster (?/?) monster card. Soon after, some kind of black swirl of energy enter D's body, his body becomes engulfed in a white aura, and his eyes become blood red as he looks down at man, who had a real fearful look on his face.

 

End Flashback; Return to the Present

 

After he tells the story to Aster and Sailor Mars, The D says, with an evil grin on his lips, “With the Ultimate Destiny card at my fingertips, I became the most famous duelists in the pro circuit and then Aster and I officially met.”

 

Aster then states, perplexed, “If you are the one that took my father, then why adopt me?”

 

The D replies, evilly, “Why not? By adopting you, I kept the police from suspecting me. It was a good deal. You kept the police off my back and I fill your mind with false hope of your father's return.” Aster then growls remembering The D telling a younger Aster about his father coming home and being found. The D tells Aster, evilly, “Thank you, son. You really were a great help!”

 

Sailor Mars yells out, angrily, “Shut up! How dare you play with Aster's feelings like that?! You are nothing, but a monster!”

 

The D tells Sailor Mars, “Settle down, little girl. I'm not all that bad. In fact, Aster might get a chance to see his father again.”

 

Sailor Mars asks, perplexed, “What do you mean?” Just then a platform containing two duel disks rise up from the floor in front of The D and The D takes one of them, attached it to his left arm, and inserts his dueling deck inside.

 

The D replies, evilly, “By getting to see his father's card in action. Isn't he glad that it is out of that stuffy drawer and not locked up? In fact, if his father had his way, it would have stayed that way.”

 

Aster says, in a serious tone, “That's because it was too dangerous! That card should have stayed locked up!”

 

The D scoffs at Aster and exclaims, “Ha! You are starting to sound like your father!”

 

Aster then says, in a serious tone, “And I will duel you . . . for his honor!”

 

Sailor Mars exclaims, worriedly, “Aster, you can't! This guy is too dangerous!”

 

Aster says, in a serious tone, “Sorry, Rei, but it is the only way!”

 

The D says, with an evil smile, “Now, that's the spirit! Prepare to see what your father's card can do!” The D throws Aster the other duel disk, Aster attached to the duel disk to his left arm, Aster puts his dueling deck inside, and both of them activate their duel disk as they draw five cards each and their life-point counters on their duel disk display 4000 life-points each.

 

Sailor Mars thinks in her mind, in a rare worried expression and tone, “Be careful, Aster. This guy is incredibly dangerous since he is possessed by the Light of Destruction. I've already seen its power and believe me, it is no laughing matter. I think that you are somewhat crazy to go head to head with someone like that, but I guess I can understand why. Just don't lose on me.”

 

Starting Scores:

The D: 4000

Aster: 4000

 

Aster draws one card from his deck and says, seriously, “I'll start things off!” Aster puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play my Destiny Draw! First, I send one of my Destiny Heroes straight to the graveyard and then I can draw two more cards!” Aster discards one card from his hand to the graveyard, draws two more cards from his deck, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play this! My D-Spirit spell! With this card, I can play this! My Destiny Hero-Diamond Dude!” Aster puts one card on his duel disk and Destiny Hero-Diamond Dude (1400/1600) comes to the field in attack mode. Aster says, in a serious tone, “Want more?! Now, I play Diamond Dude's effect! I draw one card from my deck and if it is a Normal Spell card, I can play in my next turn!” Aster draws one card from his deck, displays it to be his Pot of Greed spell card, discards it to the graveyard, puts one more card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play Over Destiny! This card allows me to summon one Destiny Hero from my deck to the field! As long as it has half the level of the monster in my graveyard!” Aster then goes through his deck, takes out one card, puts his deck back in his duel disk, puts the card on his duel disk, and calls out, “So, meet Destiny Hero-Captain Tenacious!” Soon after, Destiny Hero-Captain Tenacious (800/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Aster then says, “And since my Destiny Hero-Malicious is the monster in my graveyard! I can use his special ability to remove him from play to summon another one from my deck!” Aster removes the said card from the graveyard, Aster goes through his deck, takes one card from his deck, puts his deck back in his duel disk, puts the card on his duel disk, and Destiny Hero-Malicious (800/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Aster puts another card on his duel disk and calls out, “And now, I can sacrifice all three of my monsters in order to play my Destiny Hero-Dogma!” All three monsters vanish in stream of light, the light beams converge together, and Destiny Hero-Dogma (3400/2400) comes to the field in attack mode. Aster puts one card in the spell/trap slots, his Field Spell slot opens up, he puts a card in the slot, and says, as it closes up, “Finally, I place one card face-down and activate Clock Tower Prison!” Soon after, the field changes into a courtyard of a large prison with a huge clock tower behind Aster.

 

Sailor Mars thinks, amazed, “Wow! Aster really works fast. Already he has got a high-powered monster on the field, with a face-down to support him, and this Field Spell helps him out since after four of that jerk's Standby Phases pass, all Battle Damage to his life-points become zero as long as this spell remains on the field. Aster might be problem sometimes, but he really knows how to duel.”

 

Aster says, with a sly smile on his lips, “That will do for now.”

 

The D says, in an evil taunting tone, “Not bad. A little pedestrian for my tastes, but you have a bright future son. Too bad, I will have to snuff it out like I did your father.”

 

Sailor Mars growls lowly, “Arrogant asshole.”

 

Aster tells Sailor Mars, nodding his head, “You said it.” Aster yells at The D, in a serious tone, “Your head games work on me, D!”

 

The D draws one card from his deck and says, “We'll see about that! And now . . .!”

 

Aster then interrupts and yells out, “What's your rush D?! Did you forget that my Dogma's special ability now activates?! So, you lose half of your life-points! Too bad!” Just then Destiny Hero-Dogma gives off a bright glow and The D yells out in shock as his life-points were cut in half, thanks to Dogma's special ability.

 

Sailor Mars thinks in her mind, excitedly, “Yes!”

 

Aster then calls out, sarcastically, “Guess you know what they say is true?! Time really does fly when you are having fun!” Just then the hands on Aster's clock tower moves into the three o'clock position.

 

The D says, with an evil smile and tone, “Sorry, Aster, but that bell tolls for you. That was your last turn.”

 

Sailor Mars says, annoyed, “Oh, please! You don't know what you are talking about!”

 

The D says, putting a card in the spell/trap slots, “Oh, don't I? If you want proof, I'll play this! Blood Note! Now, for every four monster levels on Aster's side of the field, I get a Plasma Token!” Just then two Plasma Tokens (0/0 X 2) comes to the field in attack mode. The D then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play Fiend's Sanctuary! So, another token for me!” Just then a Metal Fiend Token (0/0) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Sailor Mars yells out, horrified, “Oh no! He can't be . . .!”

 

Aster calls out, stunned like Sailor Mars, since both of them know what's next, “You've got to be kidding me!”

 

The D exclaims, in a serious tone while putting a card on his duel disk, “Wrong, Aster! You know what's going to happen next! It is time to see what your father's card can do! It is the Ultimate Destiny card: Destiny Hero-Plasma!” Just then the three token vanish from the field in swirls of crimson red energy that drip down like blood to the ground, just then a surge of blood comes out from the ground, and out of that surge of blood a humanoid monster appears from it. This humanoid monster had crimson red and dark blue armor, black bodysuit, a crimson red demonic dragon head as a right hand and right lower arm, a black clawed left hand, demonic-like clawed feet, this monster's head was human with a black mask covering his upper face with yellow eyes coming out of the mask, and coming out of his back of his back were two demonic-like bat wings.

 

Sailor Mars yells out, a bit freaked out, “That's the Ultimate Destiny Hero cards that your father designed!”

 

Aster says, seriously, “Yep! That's him! Through I still can't believe that's him!”

 

Sailor Mars then sees that Destiny Hero-Plasma only has 1900 ATK and 600 DEF and states, perplexed, “Hold on! For the `Ultimate Destiny Hero', he isn't that powerful!”

 

The D yells out, “Just wait see, my young friend! Behold! Its power!” Just then the wings of Destiny Hero-Plasma open up and a huge wind comes onto the field. Just then Aster and Sailor Mars look to see Destiny Hero-Dogma getting absorbed into Destiny Hero-Plasma's wings and with a loud roar, he is destroyed and the `remains' are sent into Destiny Hero-Plasma.

 

Aster calls out, shocked, “Dogma!”

 

Sailor Mars shouts out, horrified, “It's like that monster absorbed yours!” Aster and Sailor Mars then looks up at Destiny Hero-Plasma and they see images of him inside of Plasma's wings struggling to get out, but stuck inside of him.

 

The D tells Aster and Sailor Mars, “That's Plasma's gift! He absorbs monsters! Taking all of their abilities and half their attack power!”

 

Sailor Mars and Aster yell out in unison, “What?!” Just then Destiny Hero-Plasma's stats increase from 1900/600 to 3600/600!

 

The D then calls out, “Now, Plasma, attack him! With Vengeful Rain!” Just then Plasma spreads his wings and slams Aster with a rain of crimson red wave of energy. Aster cries out in shock as 3600 life-points were taken from him immediately and he falls to his knees.

 

Sailor Mars yells out, horrified, “Aster!” Aster groans out as he looks at D and Destiny Hero-Plasma with a look of anger and seriousness as Sailor Mars could only look on with totally helplessness as Aster prepares for the duel of his life thus far.

 

(Back at Duel Academy; Evening in front of the Slifer Red dorms)

 

In front of the Slifer Red dorms, we find Serena, Ami, Lita, Mina, Hotaru, Amara, Michelle, Trista, Darien, Rini, Syrus, Bastion, Alexis, Tyranno, Blair, and Jaden along with Sol, Luna, and Atriums assembled in the front of the Slifer Red dorms and Jaden, Tyranno, Mina, Serena, Darien, and Trista explained what had happened this afternoon.

 

After they were done, Syrus exclaims, shocked, “Hold up! I thought that this Light of Destruction possessed only Sartorius!”

 

Jaden tells Syrus, “That's what we thought, too, Syi! But it looks like the World Champion is also possessed by it and it looks like he was the only that took Aster's father and the card that he designed from him!”

 

Bastion then says, “So, The D must have been the mysterious man that came to Sartorius one day and gave him the card.”

 

Michelle says, in a curious tone, “What I don't understand that if the Light of Destruction had The D under its control, why the Light of Destruction took over Sartorius instead?”

 

Trista says, in a plain tone, “The Light of Destruction must have thought that Sartorius was a better host for its evil power. Remember, Sartorius was born with the special gift of foresight, the ability to see into the future and see events before it happens. And with the painful past that he and his sister experienced, the Light of Destruction could feed on that negative energy and make a perfect host within Sartorius.”

 

Amara then says, “So, he used Sartorius in its quest to create a future of his `liking' by possessing him, using the negative emotions from his painful past to split his soul into two sides, and using the evil side to do its bidding while suppressing his good side, namely trapping him in his own body.”

 

Serena says, plainly, “That's so wrong in many ways.”

 

Mina then says, “But I don't get why it looks like the Light of Destruction still possesses The D!”

 

Sol then says, “Most likely, the Light of Destruction left a portion of itself, a remnant, inside of the D to continue with its plans while moving the core of its evil being into Sartorius.”

 

Darien then says, in a serious tone, “However, even through it might only be a remnant of the Light of Destruction within the World Champion, it is still dangerous. It is totally unlike Rei to just fly off without us to help her.”

 

Ami asks, perplexed, “Why would Rei do that?”

 

Mina then says, “Well, we think that Rei got visions of Aster in mortal danger and that's why she flew off. To help him.”

 

Amara then states, plainly, “But Rei would never just fly off without at least one of us to help her. Why would she make such a brash decision?”

 

Michelle then says, with a smile, “I might know. I think that our little miko is getting a thing for Jaden's greatest rival.”

 

The rest of the group jump back in shock and Serena yells out, perplexed tone in her voice, “Rei is falling for Aster?!” Serena then scratches her head and says, in a plain tone, “But then again, thinking about those two, I think they would be perfect for each other.”

 

Mina then says to Serena, with a sly grin, “Just like Rei is sometimes your rival and you get into `rivalries' with her and she annoys the heck out of you and Aster does the same with Jaden sometimes, including the tag duel against Sartorius' sister in the virtual world, and both of you are still friends while rivals at the same time.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, nervously and with a nervous smile, “I hate to admit, sis, but Mina has got a point.”

 

Serena replies, with a moan, “Don't I know it?”

 

Lita then exclaims, “Anyway, how are we going to find Rei? I know that she will be with Aster, but where do we find them?!”

 

Ami takes out her computer and says, “I can do a scan of the internet and try to dig up some clues on The D to find out where Aster and Rei could be.”

 

Alexis says, in a serious tone, “Maybe we can go back to Chancellor Sheppard and see if he has some information on The D that we can use.”

 

Jaden nods his head in agreement with his girlfriend and replies, “Good idea `Lex. Let's get going.”

 

But before they could start off, a female voice calls out, “Excuse me?” Everyone looks to the source of the voice to see none other than Prince Ojin's female secretary, Linda, approaching all of them.

 

Darien asks Linda, “May we help you?”

 

Tyranno then states, surprised, “Hold up! I know her! I saw her with Prince Ojin on that day that Sartorius got control of that satellite owned by the Misgarth Kingdom!”

 

Linda nods her head and says, “Yes, you are correct. My name is Linda and I work for Prince Ojin.”

 

Blair asks, curiously, “Well, what would someone working for a guy like Prince Ojin want to see us?”

 

Linda then replies, “Actually, I need your help.” Linda shakes her head, points to Serena and Jaden, and says, “No, I should actually say that I need their help. The help of Sailor Moon and her brother.”

 

The whole group of heroes and heroines gasp in shock and Serena asks, shocked, “How do you know who I am?!”

 

Linda says, in a plain tone, “I've observed you and Jaden's tag duel against Alexis Rhodes and Chazz Princeton while they were still under Sartorius' grip and believe me, I was shocked to find out this fact among others. You should know in the Misgarth kingdom, there are ancient books and stories about an ancient kingdom on the moon and the children of the legendary Moon Queen known as the tsuki-no-hime and tsuki-no-ouji.”

 

Trista then says, plainly, “Then it is safe to assume that you already know the truth about the Sailor Scouts as well as Jaden Yuki and Sailor Moon.”

 

Linda nods her head and says, “Yes, I do. However, I've always thought them to be just myths and legends . . . well, until the day that I witness Jaden's and Serena's duel and their transformation.”

 

Jaden states, a bit nervously, “Well, we kind of got that lately.”

 

Darien asks Linda, curiously, “So, why did you seek Serena and Jaden out?”

 

Linda replies, “I need their help to save my prince from Sartorius' grip.”

 

The group of heroes and heroines gasp in shock and Lita says, in a plain tone, “Let me guess: Sartorius brainwashed Prince Ojin in order to get back to the keys to the satellite?”

 

Linda nods her head and says, “That's right. And I already studied and learned all of your names.”

 

Amara states, plainly, “That coward!”

 

Tyranno says, annoyed, “Why am I not surprised?”

 

Linda tells them, in a plain and serious tone, “As you already know, the two keys that are in Jaden's and Aster's possession activate the controls to our royal satellite and it has the power to brainwash the entire planet.”

 

Bastion says, in his usual tone, “Indeed.”

 

Linda then says, in a plain tone, “Plus, you already know that Sartorius has two personalities: The side of his personality that contains the real Sartorius' good heart and the evil side created by some kind of alien power known as the Light of Destruction, which has existed for millennia and has caused many major disasters, man-made and `natural', throughout history. And now, it seeks to control this world and every single world in the universe by brainwashing everyone with its evil light. Now, this evil alien power has brainwashed my prince and Sartorius is using him to get those keys back.”

 

Alexis says, plainly, “And Sartorius sent Ojin to duel Jaden and Serena for the keys?”

 

Linda nods his head and says, “Yes. Sartorius has decided to use my prince against you and your brother, Serena. He still doesn't know if Jaden or Serena has the real key and which has the fake, but what he does know that Aster has one of the two real keys.”

 

Syrus then states, drolly, “Please he is also trying to be ironic with a modern-day prince beating a mythical prince and princess.”

 

Lita states, in a plain tone, “There's nothing that I would put by that ass!”

 

Ami asks, curiously, “What do you wish for us to do?”

 

Linda replies, in a plain tone, “I need for either Serena or Jaden to duel him and for them to win at any cost. I remember the hard fought duel that Jaden and Serena fought against Alexis and Chazz when they were in Sartorius' evil power. All they had to do was win that duel and Sartorius' grip was broken! The two of them have a gift and I'm not talking about their powers as either Sailor Moon for Serena or the powers that they have as the legendary Moon Prince and Princess. And no one deserves more of their help than my prince.”

 

Amara then says, in a plain tone, “Well, I'm not sure about that. Thanks to him betting that mind-control satellite in the first place, we are in this mess.”

 

Michelle then states, “And not to call the kettle black, he doesn't seem to be the very `social' type.”

 

Linda says, with a sigh, “It wasn't always so. Deep down, my prince is a good man. It's just . . . he never grew without any friends.”

 

Jaden and Serena `perk up' when they heard this and Jaden asks Linda, curiously, “He never had any friends at all?”

 

Linda nods her head and says, “Yes. When he was a child, he was very kind person long ago. He even saved me from harsh punishment by taking the blame for damaging a royal specter that I had accidentally broke myself. However, because he grew up with no friends, he grew very bitter and cold. But deep down, I know that my prince is a good man.”

 

Serena says, amazed, “Wow. No friends. Personally, I'll admit, if I didn't have Molly and then the girls in my life, I might have turned into a real jerk myself.” Ami blushed nervously while Lita, Hotaru, and Mina along with Luna sweatdrop at this, Amara, Michelle, and Trista could only give sly smiles at this, and Darien scratches his head a bit nervously. Serena looks at her friends mixed expressions and exclaims, a bit annoyed, “What?!”

 

Jaden tells Linda, with a smile on his lips, “Don't worry, Linda. Serena and I will help your prince.”

 

Linda asks, hopefully, “You will?”

 

Serena replies, with her cheerful smile, “Sure! What kind of protector of love and justice would I be if I didn't help out people in need?”

 

Linda smiles and says, thankful and happy tone in her voice, “Thank you.” Soon after, our heroes and heroines began to discuss with Linda about where Prince Ojin is and if Serena or Jaden should be dueling him.

 

(On the meanwhile; Within Queen Beryl's base)

 

Around this time, we find Queen Beryl sitting down on her throne in her base somewhere near Academy Island when Jadeite appears with Zane Truesdale in tow.

 

Jadeite bows in front of Queen Beryl and states, emotionlessly, “Zane Truesdale, the Hell Kaiser of Pro Dueling Circuits, my queen.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Jadeite, “Thank you, Jadeite. Leave us.” Jadeite then teleports away, leaving Zane and Queen Beryl alone, and Zane walks up into he was in front of the evil queen.

 

Zane tells Queen Beryl, in a dark tone, “Nice pad. Now, can we get down to why I'm here and who you are?”

 

Queen Beryl says, with an evil smirk, “Down to business? I can do that. Anyway, I already know how you are. Now, it would be rude to me not to introduce who I am. I am Queen Beryl, ruler of the Negaverse.”

 

Zane asks, darkly, “Is that supposed to mean something to me?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “Actually, this could your and my `lucky day' if you hear me out and agree to what I propose.”

 

Zane states, in a dark plain tone, “I'm listening.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “I've heard everything about you, Zane Truesdale, and I've observed your duel with that twerp of a younger brother. It was very entraining for you to put him down like the runt he is.”

 

Zane tells Queen Beryl, with a dark smile, “Thank you for the compliment `your majesty', but I'm not in the mood for flattery.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, with an evil smile, “Yes, I can see. Zane Truesdale, you have black heart full of anger, rage, and hatred. Your ruthlessness and efficient destruction of your opponents in your duels and you show no mercy or respect, which you should because mercy and respect is for the weak.”

 

Zane says, with a dark smile on his lips, “Glad we can agree on something.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, with her own evil smile, “Indeed. Your ruthlessness and your dark heart is what I need. I wish for you and me to become allies.”

 

Zane asks Queen Beryl, “Allies?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “Yes, Zane. Allies. A duelist like yourself shouldn't be in pathetic tournaments such as this one and I know that you feel the same way.”

 

Zane replies, darkly, “No damn kidding. So, what are you are offering?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “Join me and help me take over the world and you will have the entire dueling world at your fingertips. Those pathetic maggots will just be your playthings for your amusement and your life will be the only thing that matters most in life: Nothing, but victory!” Zane's eyebrows quirk up when he hears the final part and Queen Beryl then declares, “Plus, I will give you, Jaden Yuki, Aster Phoenix, and Yugi Moto to do with what you will and you can use your deck, which I can give even more power to, and you can defeat them, showing the world that no duelist is superior to you!” Queen Beryl extends her right hand towards Zane and asks, with an evil grin, “So, Zane, what do you say?”

 

Zane's sick smile becomes even wider, if it was even possible, and he replies, darkly, “Sure, why not?! All that `goodie-goodie' stuff that I did before made me sick to my stomach! You've gotten my interest!” Zane then takes and shakes Queen Beryl's hand.

 

Queen Beryl says, with a wide evil smile, “Excellent, Zane. You won't regret this.”

 

Zane thinks in his mind, in a dark serious tone, “I better not or there will be a hell to pay, Beryl! No one double-crosses me!” Zane then asks Queen Beryl, darkly, “So, what do I need to do?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “All you need to do is get the three Sacred Beast cards and I will give you the tools that you can get them with ease. All you will need to do is take them.”

 

Zane tells Queen Beryl, darkly, “Fine by me. When do we start?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, with an evil smile, “Whenever you are ready, my dear Hell Kaiser.” Zane and Queen Beryl gain evil sly smiles on their lips as they began to discuss their plans for their `assault'.

 

(Elsewhere on Academy Island; on the meanwhile)

 

In front of an abandoned warehouse on Academy Island, we find Eternal Sailor Aries, Eternal Sailor Libra, Eternal Sailor Aquarius, Eternal Sailor Scorpio, Eternal Sailor Gemini, Eternal Sailor Capricorn, and Eternal Sailor Taurus standing guard in front of the warehouse main doors with duel disks attached to their left wrists and dueling decks inside.

 

Sailor Capricorn asks their current leader, Sailor Aries, in a plain tone, “Why are wearing our duel disks with us?”

 

Sailor Libra tells Sailor Capricorn, “Capricorn, even through the Society of Light is getting weaker, they still have some strength less. What if one comes around to try to steal the keys?”

 

Sailor Aquarius says, in a logical tone, “I doubt it. If any one of them comes around, it is most likely to try and brainwash with the power of the Light of Destruction to serve its ends. Plus, the Sacred Beasts are creatures of darkness and the Light of Destruction is basically what it is . . . an evil impure light. I don't think the Light of Destruction wants anymore darkness in the universe . . . Actually, it doesn't want any darkness at all and throw off the balance of life.”

 

Sailor Aries tells Sailor Aquarius, “I think Mindy got it, Danielle.”

 

Sailor Taurus then says, in a serious tone, “Who we really got to worry about is that witch, Beryl. Since she is back in town, she will want the power of these three cards.”

 

Just then a loud dark female voice calls out, “And that's what she will get!” The Zodiac Sailor Scouts whip their heads to the source of the voice to see a good-sized group of youma along with Jadeite, with his emotionless look in his eyes, standing before them.

 

Sailor Capricorn states, in a plain tone, “Great. Plain trouble.”

 

Sailor Aries tells Sailor Capricorn, “No joke, Capricorn.”

 

Sailor Libra says, looking at Jadeite, “There is something different about this jerk.”

 

Sailor Aquarius says, plainly, “Yeah, Mindy's right. Jadeite's eyes look similar to Alexis' eyes when she was fully brainwashed by Sartorius.”

 

Sailor Taurus says, in a serious tone, “Looks like Beryl did that to Jadeite to make him a more efficient general.”

Sailor Aries states, plainly, “Not surprised, knowing that snake.”

 

Jadeite yells out, in an emotionless tone, “You will pay for those words about my queen, Aries! Now, hand over the Sacred Beast cards or you will suffer the consequences!”

 

Sailor Capricorn says, in a plain tone, “Is he serious?”

 

Jadeite then calls out to his troop of youma monsters, “Attack!” Soon after, the youma move in all directions to attack the Zodiac Sailor Scouts.

 

Sailor Aries retorts, drolly, “Does that answer your question?” Sailor Aries then commands, “Come on, girls, we've got to move!” Soon after, the Zodiac Sailor Scouts move in multiple directions as they counterattack against Jadeite and his youma forces, but what they didn't see is Zane Truesdale coming out of the bushes and going into the warehouse.

 

(A brief time soon after; Inside of the warehouse)

 

Within the abandoned warehouse, we find Zane looking around garbage and debris scattered all over the floor in multiple places finding where our heroes and heroines along with Chancellor Sheppard could have found the Spirit Gate keys.

 

Zane thinks in his mind, darkly, “If I were Sheppard and some weirdo skirt wearing super-heroes, where would I hide those damned keys? I've got to say one thing about those girls. They must dress like weirdoes, but they aren't idiots. With concealment, they do it very well.” Zane looks around everywhere, but he can't a single clue where they could have hidden the seven Spirit Gate keys. However, after a few minutes, Zane finds a very small patch, barely the size of a penny, of recently dug up earth and he goes over there. Zane then says to himself, “Hmm, I wonder . . .” Zane then begins to pound on the ground until he hits a hollow area and he says, with his dark sick smile on his lips, “Well, what do you know? Clever, but not clever enough.” Zane then dusts the ground around the hollow area until he finds a square shaped cut into the concrete floor, he pulls a small concrete slab from the floor to reveal a small hidden chamber with a box, Zane takes out the box, opens the box up, and finds the seven Spirit Gate keys inside. Zane exclaims, darkly, “Excellent!” Zane then pockets the keys, gets to his feet, and says, with a dark tone, “Better split before those skirt wearing chicks with super-powers come and find me.” Zane then quickly and silently runs out of the warehouse.

 

(A short time soon after; Back to the battle outside of the warehouse)

 

Back outside of the warehouse, we find the Zodiac Sailor Soldiers fighting against Jadeite and his minions with Sailor Aries going one-on-one against the evil general of the Negaverse.

 

“Aries Eternal Dragonfire!”

 

Sailor Aries launches a beam of flames that turn into the shape of an Asian dragon right at Jadeite and the evil general barely misses get scorched by the attack as it glazes his left shoulder, burning his uniform and giving him a slight burn on his exposed skin.

 

Jadeite roars out, in pure anger, “You will pay for that wench!”

 

Sailor Aries calls out, defiantly, “Not in this life-time asshole!” On the meanwhile, the other Zodiac Sailor Scouts had their hands full with the youma that Jadeite had come with him.

 

“Taurus' Electric Ram!”

 

A lightning bolt rains down from the sky as it slams into Sailor Taurus, but she doesn't even yell out in pain as electric energy surrounds her body and she, her body crackling with electric power, rushes right at the youma with her right fist extended backwards causing all of the electrical energy to gather in her right fist. Sailor Taurus then slams her right fist into the youma's chest and it screams out in extreme pain as her body was flooded with electrical force causing it to vaporize nearly instantly. Sailor Capricorn uses her scythe to easily dispatch two more youma as she slices them down the middle.

 

“Gemini Shadow Magic Sphere!”

 

Sailor Gemini gathers shadow-like magical energy into her hands and launches it at two more of the youma, it stops in front of them, and then creates a huge vortex that sucks the two youma, who had no time to defend themselves, and the portal closes after they are sucked in, trapping them in some kind of `space' for all time.

 

Jadeite shouts out, in an evil angered tone, “This battle is far from done!”

 

Just then Queen Beryl's voice booms, “Jadeite, return to base! Your mission is over!”

 

Jadeite bows his head and replies, emotionlessly, “Yes, my queen.” Jadeite then looks at the perplexed Zodiac Sailor Scouts and tells them, in an evil serious tone, “This isn't over, girls! You and your Moon Kingdom counterparts will finally fall under the power of the Negaverse!” Jadeite and his surviving youma quickly vanish from the battle through teleportation.

 

Sailor Aquarius asks, perplexed, “Why did they just leave like that?”

 

Sailor Libra says, triumphantly, “Guess when Beryl discovered that we were back in town and is stronger than ever, she decided that we were girls to be messed with.”

 

Sailor Aries tells Sailor Libra, nervously, “I don't think so, Mindy. Why would she make Jadeite attack us and then leave?”

 

Sailor Capricorn says, in a plain tone, “Yeah. Most likely, she knew that this is where we had hidden the Spirit Gate keys, so, why attack and leave?”

 

Sailor Aquarius then gasps and exclaims, “Unless they were some kind of diversion!”

 

Sailor Libra yells out, horrified, “The keys!” Soon enough, all of the Zodiac Sailor Scouts immediately headed back towards the warehouse and enter inside immediately.

 

(Shortly thereafter; Back inside of the abandoned warehouse)

 

Back inside of the warehouse, we find our Zodiac Sailor Warriors gathered in front of the empty box that contained the Spirit Gate keys and the open hole in the concrete floor that was created to hide the keys.

 

Sailor Libra says, worriedly, “Oh no! They're gone!”

 

Sailor Aries yells out, angrily, “Damn it! Jadeite and Beryl played us for fools!”

 

Sailor Scorpio then states, worriedly, “Now, what do we do?”

 

Sailor Aries takes out her sailor communicator, activates it, and Alexis' face comes on the screen, saying, “What's wrong, Jasmine?”

 

Sailor Aries replies in the communicator, solemnly, “Bad news, `Lex. The Spirit Gate keys were taken by Beryl.”

 

Alexis yells out, in horror through the communicator, “What?!”

 

Sailor Aries says, explaining, “Jadeite and some youma attacked us and we drove them back only to find that they were some kind of distraction so that someone could sneak in to take the keys!”

 

Alexis tells Sailor Aries, in a serious tone, “Okay, Jasmine, you and the girls get regroup with the rest of us. I'm with Jaden, Serena, and the others. We will be waiting in front of the main building.”

 

Sailor Aries nods her head and says, “Right.” Sailor Aries de-activates her communicator and says, in a commanding tone, “You heard Alexis! Let's move out, girls!” Soon after, the Zodiac Sailor Scouts move out to rejoin Alexis and the others in front of the main building of Duel Academy.

 

(A bit later that evening; In front of Duel Academy's main building)

 

A bit later this very same evening, we find Jaden, Alexis, Bastion, Syrus, Tyranno, Blair, Rini, Darien, Serena, our Moon Kingdom Sailor Scouts, our Zodiac Sailor Scouts, Linda, and finally, Yugi, Atem, Tea, Tristan, and Joey along with the four guardian felines assembled in front of the main building in Duel Academy. The Zodiac Sailor Scouts and Jaden, Alexis, and our Moon Kingdom Sailor Scouts told their stories to Yugi and his friends since they were working late with `special work' for the tournament.

 

Joey exclaims, “Oh, great! And just when I was ready to go to bed and get ready for more tournament action tomorrow!”

 

Tea tells Joey, “Come on, Joey! This is serious!”

 

Tristan then states, “Okay, first, we've got a brainwashed prince trying to get the keys to his satellite now controlled by that freak Sartorius or the Light of Destruction or whatever and now, we've got an old enemy of Serena and her girls getting three powerful monster cards that nearly destroyed the game of Duel Monsters and nearly allowed some nut to rule the world?”

 

Mina tells Tristan, “That's the short end of it, Tristan.”

 

Hyperion asks Sailor Aries, “Sailor Aries, are you sure that you didn't sense someone entering the warehouse?”

 

Sailor Aries tells Hyperion, shaking her head, “No way! Jadeite and those youma of his were producing so much negative energy that I couldn't sense anyone entering the warehouse where we hid the keys!”

 

Sol says, annoyed, “That snake! She hasn't changed one bit! She knew that your senses have just come back and you will still need to time to focus them, ancient memories or not, so, she made sure that she sent someone into the warehouse undetected by using Jadeite and youma with their negative auras as cover.”

 

Alexis tells Sailor Aries, “It wasn't your fault, Jasmine.”

 

Sailor Aries tells Alexis, “Thanks, Alexis. But that doesn't make me feel any better.”

 

Sailor Capricorn asks, plainly, “Who could they have sent that wouldn't put off a strong enough aura?”

 

Luna says, plainly, “I'm afraid that it must be a regular human being. Most likely, she `recruited' a duelist to weld the Sacred Beast cards since no one in the Negaverse other than Jadeite has the ability to play Duel Monsters so well. Beryl only knows about the ancient Shadow Games version of Duel Monsters.”

 

Darien says, in a serious tone, “However, it doesn't mean that Beryl won't try a way to harness the dark powers of those cards.”

 

Serena asks, worriedly, “Now, what are we going to do?!” Just then a huge earthquake-like rumble shakes the whole of the island causing all of our heroes and heroines to yelp out in shock and surprise.

 

Joey yells out, “Yah! It's an earthquake!”

 

Amara looks to a certain location, her eyes widen, she points to where she is looking, and calls out, seriously, “I don't think so! Look!” Everyone looks to where Amara is pointing and they are shocked to see seven pillars rise up in the location of where the Sacred Beast cards are buried.

 

Syrus yells out, worriedly, “That's where the Sacred Beast cards are buried!”

 

Lita says, seriously, “That's not good!”

 

Just then a familiar male voice calls out, “Hey!” Everyone looks to the source of the voice to see Atticus running towards them.

 

Mina exclaims, excitedly, “Atticus-sempai!”

 

When Atticus gets near them, Alexis asks Atticus, “Atticus, what's wrong?”

 

Atticus tells his sister and all of her friends, “It's Zane! I don't know how, but he's got the Spirit Gate keys and he's opening them!”

 

All of our heroes and heroines gasp in shock and Syrus calls out, in disbelief, “No way! It couldn't be him!”

 

Atticus tells Syrus, “Sorry, bro, but it was Zane! Black leather jacket, black boots, black shirt, and all `Goth' look around him.”

 

Lita exclaims, angrily, “I can't believe it! Syrus' brother is working for Beryl?!”

 

Serena asks, shocked, “But why would he do such a thing?”

 

Atticus asks Serena and her friends, “Isn't that `Beryl' your first enemy that you talked about? The one that appeared in the abandoned dorm that Alexis told me about?”

 

Ami nods her head and says, “Yes. She is the queen of the Negaverse and our first enemy. Serena, as Princess Serenity, along with our help destroyed her using the full power of the Imperium Silver Crystal, but she recently revived through her surviving general, Jadeite. She's the one after the Sacred Beasts.”

 

Bastion says, in a logical tone, “And if we don't work fast, she will get them.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, in a serious tone, “Serena, I'll take care of Zane. Can you take care of Prince Ojin for me?”

 

Serena exclaims, shocked, “Jaden, you didn't fight Beryl like I did! Even through you remember her with most of your memories revived, you don't know what she is capable of!”

 

Jaden then says, seriously, “But Zane was once my friend and Syi's older brother! Most likely, Beryl will send Zane against me! I've got to try to make Zane see reason!”

 

Luna tells Jaden, “My prince, you might be too late for Syrus' older brother! He has thrown himself into a great abyss of darkness and pain! Those duels in the Underground extremely changed him! His heart has become pitch black and he is full of anger, rage, cruelty, and ruthlessness! He won't just listen you! In fact, since you and he tied, in his state of mind, he might want to destroy you in that duel!”

 

Jaden tells Luna, seriously, “Well, I believe that there is some good in Zane and if anyone can bring it out, it has to be me! I need to do this!”

 

Serena tells Jaden, with a smile, “Jaden, you take care of your friend. I'll take care of the prince.”

 

Luna yells out, shocked, “Serena, are you crazy?!”

 

Darien asks Serena, concerned, “Are you sure you want to send your brother out like that?”

 

Serena tells Darien, in a plain tone, “If it were any of my friends, I would feel the same way. Plus, he won't be alone. All of his other friends will be with him and we'll be here with him in spirit.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, “Thanks, sis. I appreciate this.”

 

Atem goes over to Jaden, takes out three cards from his pouch, and tells him, “Here, Jaden. Take these cards.” Jaden takes the cards from Atem and find that they were Obelisk the Tormentor (4000/4000), Slifer the Sky Dragon (X000/X000), and Winged Dragon of Ra (????/????) God cards. When Jaden looks at Atem in shock, Atem tells Jaden, with a smile, “As a part of my past and one of the three Chosen Duelists, you can weld the God cards as I can, Jaden. The Sacred Beasts are very deadly monsters and my God Monsters can rival them in power and abilities. Think of them as a `good luck charm'.”

 

Jaden tells Atem, with a smile, “Thanks, Atem.” Jaden takes out his `Lunar Neos' deck, shuffles the three cards into his deck, puts his deck back in his card pouch, and then tells his friends, “Ready to go, guys?”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, “Just give the word, Sarge!”

 

Jaden yells out, with a smile, “All right, let's move out!” Jaden, Alexis, Syrus, Tyranno, Bastion, Atticus, Blair, and the Zodiac Sailor Scouts along with Sol and Hyperion head towards the seven pillars where the Sacred Beasts are buried.

 

Serena says, with a concerned look, “Good luck . . . bro.”

 

Darien tells Serena, with a smile and reassuring tone, “Don't worry, Sere'. Jaden will be all right. He is your brother after all.”

 

Serena smiles and tells Darien, “I know. I just can't help it, you know. A sister thing.”

 

Ami nods her head and says, with a smile, “We understand, Serena.”

 

Darien asks Linda, “Where is Prince Ojin right now?”

 

Linda tells Darien, “Currently. He is meeting with Sartorius in the `White Dorm'.”

 

Amara says, plainly, “Not surprising.”

 

Lita exclaims, in a serious tone, “Well, what we waiting for?!” Soon after, Serena and her friends, Darien, and two guardian felines accompanied by Yugi and his friends and Linda head for the `White Dorm' for Serena to face Prince Ojin.

 

(Returning to the D's luxury ship; During this same evening)

 

Back on the D's private ship, we find Aster struggling to get to his feet as he tries to recover from Destiny Hero-Plasma's powerful attack. Currently, The D has 2000 life-points with Destiny Hero-Plasma, with Aster's Destiny Hero-Dogma inside of it, giving Destiny Hero-Plasma's stats as 3600/900 while Aster has only 400 life-points, one face-down card, his Clock Tower Prison Field Spell, and no monsters on his side of the field. On the sidelines is Sailor Mars, totally helpless to do anything about this, and she makes her right hand into a fist, angered at her helplessness to help Aster.

 

Aster asks The D, seriously, “So, D, what else do you got?”

 

The D replies, evilly, “I'm glad that you asked, Aster. While I was visiting your dad, I helped myself to this! The Spell card D-Force!” The D displays the D-Force spell card, puts it on the top of his deck, and dark violet storm cloud appears above Destiny-Hero Plasma as well as white aura around the D-Hero and The D form in-between.

 

Sailor Mars thinks in her mind, shocked, “This feeling! It is the same as the feeling that I got from Sartorius after the tag duel between Chazz and Alexis, while they were still under the control of the Light of Destruction, and Serena and her brother, Jaden!”

 

The white aura expands as it gets red eyes and a mouth and The D says, with an evil grin, “Aster, meet the Light of Destruction! He and your father go way back too!”

 

The Light of Destruction says, in a deep unearthly evil voice, “Just as The D and Sartorius worships me, you will come to revere my power as well!”

 

Aster states, seriously, “Not a chance freak!”

 

The D puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Ha! We'll see about that, Aster!”

 

Aster then draws one card from his deck and says, “Fine by me! Now, I . . .”

 

The D interrupts and yells out, “What's your rush, Aster?! Remember, my monster absorbed your monster's ability, so, you lose half of your life-points!” Destiny Hero-Plasma gives off a blue glow and Aster shouts out in pain as he is hit by an energy blast that takes out half of his life-points.

 

Sailor Mars shout out, horrified, “Aster!”

 

The D says, evilly, “Maybe we should take a break.”

 

Aster replies, seriously, “Why?! Are you tired?! Because I've got plenty of fight left! I play Pot of Greed!” Just then the hologram of the Greed Jar from the picture of the Pot of Greed spell card appears above Aster's head, he draws two cards, the jar shatters into pieces, Aster puts a card on his duel disk, and he calls out, “Now, I summon Destiny Hero-Doom Lord in defense!” Soon after, Destiny Hero-Doom Lord (600/800) comes to the field in defense mode. Aster then calls out, “Now, I play his effect and I can remove one monster from play for two turns! Guess who?!” Doom Lord fires a chain that wraps around Plasma, but the chain shatters on impact with Plasma's body.

 

Sailor Mars and Aster gasp out in shock while The D says, evilly, “Oops. Guess daddy forgot to tell you? My monster is immune to monster effects, thanks to D-Force.”

The D says, plainly, “It's my turn. However, I can't draw any cards from my deck since D-Force is the top card in my deck.”

 

Sailor Mars states, seriously, “Bad news for you! Once Aster destroys that overgrown vampire of a hero, you're done since you can't draw anymore cards!”

 

The D pushes a button on his duel disk and says, “Not exactly. I play D-Boost.” Just then The D's face-down card is revealed to be the D-Boost trap card and The D says, evilly, “Since D-Force is the top card in my deck, I draw the top two cards below it.” The D then draws two cards below his D-Force trap card and The D says, evilly, “Honestly, Aster. Aren't you glad that your father isn't here to see you embarrass yourself?”

 

Sailor Mars yells out, angrily, “Why don't you shut up and duel already asshole?!”

 

The D puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “You should watch your words, young lady. Well, Aster, you have failed again. I play the spell card Drain Time!” Just then Aster's Clock Tower becomes frozen solid and Sailor Mars and Aster look at in shock. When they look back at The D, he says, evilly, “Here's how it works: With Plasma on the field, I can freeze one of our phases and I choose our Standby Phase. Now, your clock is frozen!”

 

Sailor Mars thinks, worriedly, “Damn! That means Aster's clock can't go a full rotation and activates its ability to reduce his battle damage!”

 

The D then calls out, evilly, “Now, it's Plasma Time! Attack his Doom Lord with Vengeful Rain!” Destiny Hero-Plasma launches crimson red bolts at Destiny Hero-Doom Lord.

 

Aster pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Hold it, D! My D-Counter trap stops and destroys any monster attacking one of my heroes!” Aster's face-down card is revealed to be the D-Counter trap card, but it shatters after it is revealed, surprising Aster and Sailor Mars.

 

The D states, with an evil grin, “Oh, forgive me. I forgot to tell you that spell and trap cards don't work on Plasma either!” Just then Destiny Hero-Doom Lord is destroyed by Destiny Hero-Plasma's attack.

 

Aster yells out, annoyed, “Come on! I can't spells, traps, or monster's effects?! What can I do?!”

 

The D retorts, evilly, “Yes, what can you do?” The D then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and `showing' him ending his turn.

 

Aster draws one card from his deck, puts two cards in the spell/trap slots, and says, “I place these face-down and end my turn!”

 

The D states, evilly, “Is that all you have, Aster?! Guess your dad would be rolling around knowing that his son failed him, but then again, he already might be here.”

 

Sailor Mars yells out, seriously, “What do you mean?!”

 

The D replies, evilly, “Aster is about to find out when he is reunited with his father!” The D calls out, “Now, Plasma, finish him off!” Destiny Hero-Plasma launches his attack on Aster direction while The D pushes a button his duel disk and Plasma's attack covers Aster in a huge amount of smoke and dust while his Clock Tower Prison Field Spell vanishes returning the field to normal.

 

Sailor Mars calls out, horrified, “Aster!” However, when the smoke and dust clear, Aster was totally all right with Destiny Hero-Dreadmaster (?/?) behind him in defense mode causing The D to gasp in shock.

 

The D looks at his face-up Dust Tornado trap card and exclaims, “But how?! I even activated my Dust Tornado trap card to take out your Clock Tower!”

 

Aster points to his right face-up card, Eternal Dread trap card, and says, with a sly smile, “But thanks to my Eternal Dread trap card, my clock can keep on ticking to the wee hours, D! The D states, seriously, “Sorry, but monster effects don't work on Plasma!”

 

Aster then points to his other face-up card, Greed Pact trap card, and says, “Yes, but my Greed Pact changed all that! This card evened everything up!” The D then looks at his hand and is shocked to see D-Force back in his hand. Aster then says, with a sly smile, “With this card, we each had to draw one card from our decks and since D-Force is no longer your top card, Plasma isn't invincible anymore!”

 

Sailor Mars thinks in her mind, excitedly, “Yes! Aster did it! I've got to say, for a bit of a jerk, he is one awesome duelist!”

 

Aster then calls out, “Now, Dreadmaster, activate your other ability! Captain Tenacious and Diamond Dude! Return!” Dreadmaster gives off a bright glow causing Destiny Hero-Captain Tenacious (800/800) and Destiny Hero-Diamond Dude (1400/1600) to come back to the field in defense mode causing Dreadmaster's stats to increase from 0/0 to 2200/2200!

 

The D puts his D-Force back on the top of his deck and says, evilly, “Nice try, Aster. I resurrect my D-Force.” The violet colored storm reappears above Destiny Hero-Plasma, The D puts the final card in his hand in the spell/trap slots, his life-points drop by 800, and The D says, “Then I will toss our eight hundred life-points to play my Unfair Judge spell card!” Just then a lightning bolt comes down from the violet cloud and slams into Plasma and The D says, evilly, “Since no monsters were destroyed in this Battle Phase, this card allows my monster to attack every single one of yours as long as their combined attack points are more than Plasma's attack points and they are!”

 

Sailor Mars exclaims, shocked, “You've got to be kidding me!”

 

The D replies, “Afraid not. Now, go get them Plasma!” Plasma then launches his attack on Aster's monsters and destroys all three monsters in three huge and strong explosions.

 

Aster winches forward and thinks in his mind, “I'm sorry, dad. I tried.”

 

Just then Aster hears a voice in his head call out, “Aster, my son. Don't give up!”

 

Aster gasps in shock, recognizing his voice, and thinks in his mind, “That's my dad! And he's right! I can't give up! These cards might be the only thing left of him!” Aster then draws one card from his deck and says, “All right, D, game on!” When Aster looks at the card he drew, it is a monster known as Destiny Hero-Dark Angel with 0/0 stats. Aster thinks in his mind, surprised, “This is the last card that my father ever made and gave to me.”

 

Flashback; Shortly after Aster's father vanished

 

We find seven year old Aster inside of bank where a man in a suit, a bank official, hands little Aster a safe deposit box, and little Aster takes the box into his hands.

 

Little Aster says, in a child-like version of teenage Aster's voice, “So, this is for me?”

 

The bank official says, “Yes, your father wanted you to have if something happened to him.”

 

Little Aster opens up the box, sees the Destiny Hero-Dark Angel (0/0) card, and states, perplexed, “A card?” Little Aster takes the card, wrapped in laminated foil, and asks, perplexed, “The Dark Angel? But it has no attack or defense points, so, what is it good for?”

 

End Flashback; Return to the Present

 

Aster gasps at the memory and thinks, “That's it! It's Plasma's only weakness!” Aster discards the card from his hand and says, “Now, I'm activating my Dark Angel's special ability by discarding him to my graveyard! Now, I can resurrect it!”

 

Sailor Mars thinks in her mind, perplexed, “But what's the point of that?”

 

The D states, in an evil bored tone, “Great. So, we are going in circles now, Aster?”

 

Aster replies, with a sly grin, “Not quite! Guess where he resurrects to? He goes to the top of your deck!”

 

The D asks, shocked, “My deck?!” Just then Destiny Hero-Dark Angel (0/0) card appears on the top of The D's deck over his D-Force spell card causing the violet colored storm above Plasma to vanish.

 

Aster says, with a sly smile, “I'm afraid that your D-Force is out of commission from now on!” The Field Spell slot on Aster's duel disk opens, Aster puts a card on his duel disk, and calls out, “Next, I play the Field Spell: Dark City!” After the slot on Aster's duel disk closes, the field transforms into `stage version' of a large city and Aster says, “And if my heroes are weaker than your monsters, they get one thousand points to balance the score!” Aster puts the last card in his hand and shouts out, “Then I play my Destiny Hero-Celestial!” Soon after, Destiny Hero-Celestial (1600/1400) comes to the field in attack mode and Dark City increases his stats to 2600/1400! Aster then calls out, serious tone, “Celestial, attack him!” Destiny Hero-Celestial moves in to attack Destiny Hero-Plasma and Aster calls out, “And when he attacks you, your Plasma loses my Dogma card and you lose five hundred life-points! That means your Plasma isn't so tough anymore!” Soon after, Destiny Hero-Dogma's `remains' come out of Plasma's wings, Plasma's stats reduce back to its original 1900/600, and The D groans out as he loses 500 life-points.

 

The D states, knowing this attack will finish him and his life-points off, “How?! You can't!”

 

Aster tells The D, in a serious tone, “This is called payback for my father!”

 

The D gives a wide evil grin and replies, evilly, “How convenient! Because your dad is right here with some friends!” Just then images of people's faces began to appear on Plasma's wings causing Aster and Sailor Mars to gasp in shock as Destiny Hero-Celestial stops his attack mid-way.

 

Sailor Mars yells out, “What in the hell?! It looks like people are trapped in there!”

 

The D replies, evilly, “That's right! Didn't you know?! His dad's Plasma hero can absorb human souls as well!”

 

Aster and Sailor Mars gasp out in shock and Aster yells out, stunned, “Say what?!”

The D states, evilly, “The first soul was your father's.” Just then an image of Aster's father comes out of Plasma's wings.

 

Aster's father or his soul in physical form trapped within Plasma's wings calls out, “Aster, help us! It's me! Daddy!”

 

Aster calls out, shocked, “Father!”

 

Sailor Mars thinks in his mind, horrified, “That's Aster's father! He's been trapped inside of a monster card all of this time!”

 

The D says, evilly, “Yep! Want to attack my Plasma now? Go ahead, I dare you!”

 

Aster says, angrily, “I can't!”

 

Aster's father calls out, “Aster, all of this is my fault son!”

 

Aster says, perplexed, “But dad . . .?!”

 

Aster's father shouts out, “When I developed that Plasma card, there was a light . . . it was a Darklight!”

 

Aster and Sailor Mars yell out in unison, “The Light of Destruction!”

 

Aster's father calls out, “Yes! It took me over! I tried to stop it, but I was too weak and it was too strong for me! Because of me, the most powerful force is free! Aster, you must stop the light!”

 

Aster asks his father, “But how?!”

 

Aster's father replies, “The D is just a pawn! The real evil lives . . . lives inside Sartorius!”

 

Aster asks, perplexed, “It does?!”

 

Aster's father responds, “Yes, it does! The Light of Destruction in The D is just a remnant that this evil power left behind to keep its bind on him and continue with its evil plans! The light is controlling and manipulating Sartorius! You must go find your friends . . . Serena Tsukino and Jaden Yuki . . . and together, you must stop the light and save mankind before it is too late!”

 

Sailor Mars asks, confused, “What about you sir?”

 

Aster's father replies, “It is already too late for me, young lady. Please I ask you this: Take care of my son.”

 

Aster asks his father, weakly, “But dad . . .?”

 

Aster's father tells his son, “I'm proud of you, son. But please, help save mankind.” Just then Aster's father or his soul returns to his imprisonment within Destiny Hero-Plasma.

 

Aster shed tears of sadness and he screams out, “I promise, dad! And I will free your soul! Celestial, END THIS DUEL! FREE MY FATHER'S SOUL!!!” Without another word needed to be said, Destiny-Hero Celestial moves in for the final blow while Aster, this moment in slow motion, remembers all of his memories of being with his father. Soon after, Celestial strikes Plasma, much to The D's shock.

 

The D yells out, “No! This is impossible!” His life-points then drain down to zero from Celestial's attack on Plasma, ending the duel.

 

Aster's father then calls out from within the `dying' Plasma, “Thank you . . . my son.” Just then Plasma shatter apart as the monster is finally destroyed, releasing all of the souls within him to their final rest.

 

Aster then says, weakly, “But dad . . .” And for the first time, the very strong, Aster Phoenix, starts to cry as the final duel holograms faded away as the duel ends.

Sailor Mars slowly goes over to the crying Destiny Hero duelist and says, weakly, “Aster, I'm so sorry.” On the meanwhile, The D grunts and groans as he falls on the floor as his deck flies into the air and while his Destiny Hero-Plasma monster card is floating in mid-air, a white aura comes out of it, gives a loud roar, and the aura explodes in a huge amount of flames, setting the ship on fire. Sailor Mars uses her body to shield Aster from the explosion and after the explosion had died down, with flames around him, Sailor Mars sets aside as Aster finds the Destiny-Hero Plasma card at his feet, he picks it up, and puts it into his hand.

 

Aster says, sadly, “Bye, dad.” Just then Sailor Mars finds the D-Force spell card by her right high-heeled shoe and she picks it up.

 

Handing it to Aster, Sailor Mars says, plainly, “Here. You will need this card, too.”

 

Aster takes the D-Force spell card from Sailor Mars' hands and says, “Thanks.” Just then a loud roar comes from in front of them and they see The D get to his feet.

 

The D yells out, angrily, “Aster, this isn't over! I shall return!” Soon after, The D was consumed by the flames that he can't be seen anymore.

 

Aster and Sailor Mars say in unison, “Yeah, right.”

 

Sailor Mars yells out, “Stand back! I'm getting us out of here!”

 

“Mars Eternal Phoenixfire!”

 

Sailor Mars launches a beam of flames from her hands that transforms into a shape of flames that blasts the door that she and Aster entered, leaving a huge hole in the door that can allow them to escape. Soon after, not needing a word, the two of them make their escape from inside the ship.

 

(A brief time soon after; on the ship's deck)

 

A short time after their escape, Sailor Mars and Aster find themselves on the burning ship's deck looking down to see it is too far up for Aster to get to his smaller ship and it would take too much time for Sailor Mars to lower Aster into his ship to escape.

 

Aster states, plainly, “Now what?”

 

Sailor Mars says, “It is too far for you to jump and it would take me too long to lower you down! There is one way to escape! Grab on!”

 

Aster asks, perplexed, “Are you sure about that?!”

 

Sailor Mars tells Aster, seriously, “Do you think I like the idea?! Just grab my waist and let's go!” Aster wraps his arms around Sailor Mars' waist causing both of them to blush and Sailor Mars takes off into the air, flying as fast as she can with Aster `in tow' away from the burning ship.

 

Just then a voice calls out, “Aster! Sailor Mars!” Aster and Sailor Mars then sees a helicopter with Chancellor Sheppard inside flying towards them and soon enough, the helicopter comes to Sailor Mars' right side, allowing her to get Aster inside of the helicopter. With Sailor Mars flying by the helicopter's left side and Aster safely inside, Chancellor Sheppard asks Aster, “What happened here?!”

 

Aster looks at Sailor Mars and then says, looking at Chancellor Sheppard, “Let just say that The D made a fiery exit from the Pro Leagues.”

 

(Back in Duel Academy on the meanwhile; In front of the `White Dorm')

 

In front of the Society of Light's headquarters, the `White Dorm', we find Prince Ojin coming out of the main front doors of the `White Dorm' and looks to see Serena Tsukino, with a duel disk attached to her left wrist, and her arms crossed against her chest standing in front of him.

 

Prince Ojin says, in cold sarcastic tone, “So, the little bunny rabbit comes out to face the lion, huh?”

 

Serena retorts, in a sarcastic tone, “Rabbit, huh? You will see that this `rabbit' has a mean kick pal!”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, “We'll see about that little moon princess.” Serena's eyes widen slightly in surprise and Prince Ojin says, with a cold sly grin, “Why do you look so surprised? Sartorius told me about all about you and your mini-skirted friends.”

 

Serena states, drolly, “Why am I not surprised by that?”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, “If we are going to have a `battle royal', we should take this somewhere else. Follow me.” Prince Ojin then takes off towards the main building of Duel Academy and Serena follows him.

 

(Around the same time; at the location of the Sacred Beasts' `burial site')

 

On the meanwhile, we find Jaden, Alexis, Syrus, Bastion, Tyranno, Blair, Atticus, the Zodiac Sailor Scouts, the two guardian felines, Sol and Hyperion, and Yugi Moto and his friends, Atem, Joey, Tristan, and Tea, arriving in the crater where the Sacred Beasts are buried to find Zane and Queen Beryl waiting for them.

 

Queen Beryl tells Jaden, “Well, Prince Judai, it is about time that you arrived.”

 

Syrus is shocked to see Zane with Queen Beryl and he exclaims, shocked, “Zane, what are you doing with her?! She's a bad guy!”

 

Zane retorts, darkly, “I've had enough with all of this `goodie-goodie' stuff! All I care about is victory and her majesty, here, made me an offer I would be an idiot to refuse!”

 

Jaden asks Zane, “And what offer is that?!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly and with a sick smile on his face, “Join her and her Negaverse and she will deliver you, Aster, and Yugi Moto to me to crush! You and I have a `score' to settle Jaden!”

 

Tyranno yells out, seriously, “What do you mean by that?!”

 

Zane states, darkly, “My graduation duel with Jaden is the only `blemish' in my perfect victory record! I may have lost to Camilla, but that was on purpose because I decided to save Syi's pathetic life! Thinking about it: I should have ended that twerp's life back then!”

 

All of our heroes and heroines gasp in shock and Atticus yells out, stunned, “You don't mean that Zane!”

 

Zane yells out, darkly, “Oh, I do mean it, Atticus! That's a lesson for me that when I don't think about victory, I lose! That's why respecting your opponent is worthless and only victors deserve respect! As for the losers, like I said to Syi before, they deserve only pain!”

 

Sailor Aquarius says, shocked, “My god! Is this what Underground duels do to a person?”

 

Sailor Capricorn states, plainly, “His heart is filled with nothing, but anger, rage, darkness, and cruelty.”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly, “Now, Jay, if you want these cards back, you will have to duel me for them! Are you duelist enough to take me on or are you just another weak coward?”

 

Jaden tells Zane, inserting his deck into his duel disk, “How this for an answer, Zane?!”

 

Alexis tells Jaden, “Be careful, Jaden. You know, Zane isn't who he used to be.”

 

Jaden nods his head and says, “I will. Promise, `Lex.” Alexis kisses Jaden on the lips and Jaden leaps down into the crater, walking slowly to meet Zane.

 

Queen Beryl tells Zane, “I will leave him to you, Zane. Make sure his suffering and pain is great.”

 

Zane replies, darkly, “Oh, it will be my pleasure.” Queen Beryl then leaps backwards to watch the duel from the other side of the crater while Jaden walks over to Zane to meet him face to face. Jaden then notices Zane has a duel disk attached to his left wrist and a black suitcase by his right foot. Zane then opens the suitcase, revealing six black shackles, and Zane then says, darkly, “If you want to duel me, Jaden, you will have to enter my world!”

 

Jaden tells Zane, seriously, “No way, Zane! I'm not going to duel with those! There is no honor in a duel like that!” Just then the seven pillars start to glow and began to link into some kind of energy chain.

 

Alexis yells out to Queen Beryl, who was covered in a dark aura, “Hey, what do you think you are doing Beryl?!”

 

Queen Beryl says, with an evil grin, “Providing insurance that you little moon brat will duel my chosen duelist! If he doesn't duel, I will sink this entire island and every single person on it, including his sister and her pathetic Sailor Scout friends as well as her beloved prince!”

 

Jaden yells out, shocked, “You can't!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly, “She can and she will!”

 

Jaden's expression becomes one of disbelief and disgusted and he says, in a serious and rare angered tone, “Zane, I can't believe what you have become! Allying yourself with someone like Beryl, throwing away everything that you once believed in, and becoming this . . . monster! No, not a monster . . . you are nothing, but a demon!”

 

Zane replies, darkly and with a sick smile on his lips, “That's why I'm known as the Hell Kaiser of the Pro Dueling Circuit, Jaden, or did you miss that memo?! Now, dork, put those shackles on or Queen Beryl sinks this island! And I doubt that you will be able to get everyone on this island out in time.”

 

Bastion tells Jaden, “Jaden, don't do it!”

 

Atticus calls out, “No joke, dude! He really has gone nuts!”

 

Jaden tells Bastion, his friends, and girlfriend, “Like I have a choice, Bastion!” Jaden then takes three of the shackles and goes over to his `position' in the dueling ring, putting one ring around his neck with one shackle on each of his upper arms while Zane does the same.

 

Queen Beryl thinks in his mind, “Heh. Just like his pathetic sister, Serenity, he puts these worthless maggots called humans, his family, and his friends above himself! Typical! He is the son of Queen Serenity! But my warrior will make sure that this will be his last duel!” Jaden and Zane put their dueling decks into their duel disk, they activate their duel disks, displaying 4000 life-points for each duelist, and both of them draw five cards from their decks.

 

“Let's duel!” Zane and Jaden yell out in unison.

Zane tells Jaden, “Loser's first, Jaden!”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and sarcastically replies, “Gee, thanks!” Jaden puts card on his duel disk and says, “I play my Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Clayman (800/2000) comes to the field in defense mode. Jaden then puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I place two face-downs and call it a turn!”

 

Zane draws one card from his deck and yells out, “Let the destruction begin!” Zane's Field Spell Slot opens, he puts a card in the slot, and calls out, “First, I play my Fallen Paradise Field spell!” The slot closes on Zane's duel disk and the field transforms into a barren and rocky wasteland with rocky ground with mountains in the background with trees that has been totally torched in fire. Zane then says, drawing two cards from his deck, “This card allows me to draw two more cards from my deck after my Draw and Standby Phases!” Zane then puts one card on his duel disk and says, “Then I play my Exploder Dragon!” Soon after, Exploder Dragon (1000/0) comes to the field in attack mode. Zane then commands, seriously, “Exploder Dragon, attack his Clayman with Cannonball Clash!” Exploder Dragon then rises into the air to attack Jaden's Clayman.

 

Bastion then says, perplexed, “Hold up! Jaden's monster is stronger than Zane's dragon! He's only going to hurt himself!”

 

Syrus yells out, seriously, “Wrong! Zane used that dragon on me, too! When it attacks a monster, both monsters are instantly destroyed and all battle damage from the battle is reduced to zero!” Soon after, Exploder Dragon drops its spiked cannonball on Clayman, destroying it, and Exploder Dragon explodes as well.

 

Zane then tells Jaden, darkly and with a sick smile, “If you forgot my dragon's ability, when it attacks, both monsters are instantly destroyed!” Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Quick-Summon! This allows me to summon another monster!” Zane puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “So, say hello to Cyber Dark Horn!” Soon after, Cyber Dark Horn (800/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden gives a nervous sweatdrop and Zane says, darkly, “From your silence, you remember that when my Cyber Dark Horn is summoned to the field, he can take one dragon monster level four or less from my graveyard and drain it of its power!” Soon after, Zane's graveyard glows, Exploder Dragon returns to the field, Cyber Dark Horn puts it into its claws, attached IV wires into its forehead, and Cyber Dark Horn's stats increase from 800/800 into 1800/800!

 

Sailor Libra says, grossed out, “Yuck! That's so sick!”

 

Sailor Aries tells Sailor Libra, “If you think that's bad, Mindy, think about what's going to happen to Jaden next!”

 

Zane then calls out, “Now, Cyber Dark Horn, attack Jaden directly! Dark Spear!” Cyber Dark Horn launches dark beams of energy right at Jaden.

 

Alexis shouts out, worriedly, “Jaden!”

 

Jaden pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Don't think so, Zane! I play my Negate Attack!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be his Negate Attack trap card, a force-field appears in front of Jaden, and absorbs Cyber Dark Horn's attack. Jaden tells Zane, with a sly smile, “Sorry, Zane, thanks to this card, your attack is canceled and your Battle Phase is done!”

 

Zane states, annoyed, “Fine! You are just prolonging your suffering Jaden!” Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I place this face-down and call it a turn!”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “All right, time to get your game on Zane! I play my Pot of Greed! Now, I draw two cards from my deck!” Jaden draws two cards from his deck, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play The Warrior Returning Alive! This card allows me to bring one Warrior-Type monster from my graveyard back to my hand!” A card comes out of Jaden's graveyard slot, Jaden puts the card into his hand, and he calls out, “And I choose my Clayman!” Jaden puts another card in the spell/trap slots and he states, seriously, “Then I play Polymerization! And with Clayman and Sparkman in my hand, I can fuse them together!” Jaden discards the two cards to the graveyard, Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) and Elemental Hero Clayman (800/2000) appear on the field, go into a fusion vortex, Jaden puts a fusion monster card from his fusion deck, and Jaden calls out, “And here he is: The Elemental Hero Thunder Giant!” Out of the fusion vortex, Elemental Hero Thunder Giant (2400/1500) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then calls out, “Now, Thunder Giant's special ability activates! When he is summoned, he can destroy one monster on the field whose original attack points that are less than my Thunder Giant's! And I choose your Cyber Dark Horn!”

 

Atticus exclaims, excitedly, “Awesome! Cyber Dark Horn can sacrifice a monster that it has been equipped with to prevent being destroyed in battle, but its special effect is useless against Thunder Giant's special ability!”

 

Zane growls in annoyance and Jaden calls out, “Thunder Giant, let loose Static Blast!” Elemental Hero Thunder Giant fires a blast of electrical force right at Cyber Dark Horn and destroys it along with the Exploder Dragon that it has attached to it. Jaden then yells out, “Now, Thunder Giant, attack Zane directly with Boltic Thunder!” Elemental Hero Thunder Giant fires a beam of electrical force from his left palm right at Zane.

 

Zane pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “I play my trap! Draining Shield!” Zane's face-down card is revealed to be a Draining Shield trap card and a shield appears to stop Thunder Giant's assault. Zane then calls out, darkly, “Sorry, Jaden, but your Thunder Giant's attack is stopped and now, I gain life-points equal to your monster's attack points! Too bad.” Zane's life-points than increase by 2400 while Thunder Giant's attack is stopped.

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play my Mirage of Nightmare! With this card, I draw four cards from my deck during your Standby Phase, but I discard the same number of cards that I draw during your Standby Phase!” Jaden puts the last card in his hand in the spell/trap slots and states, “Finally, I throw down a face-down and call it a turn!”

Zane draws one card from his deck and states, darkly, “My move!”

 

Jaden then calls out, “And my draw, Zane! Thanks to my Mirage of Nightmare!” Jaden draws four cards from his deck, putting them into his hand. He then pushes a button on his duel disk, and yells out, “Now, I reveal my face-down! Emergency Provisions!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be Emergency Provisions Quick-spell card and Jaden calls out, “Thanks to this, I can sacrifice one face-up spell or trap card on my side of the field and gain one thousand life-points! And I choose my Mirage of Nightmare!” Jaden's Mirage of Nightmare Continuous spell card is destroyed and Jaden gains 1000 additional life-points.

 

Zane says, with a sick smile on his lips and a dark tone in his voice, “Do you think one decent move impresses me, Jaden? Not quite.” Zane then draws two more cards from his deck and he says, “Thanks to Fallen Paradise, I get two more cards from my deck!” Zane then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, darkly, “Next, I play my Pot of Greed! That means two more cards for me!” Zane draws two more cards from his deck, Zane puts three cards in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Then I place three trap card face-down on the field!”

 

Jaden shouts out, worriedly, “Oh no!”

 

Sailor Aquarius states, perplexed, “Why did Zane declares what kind of cards he placed face-down?”

 

Alexis replies, seriously, “That's because Zane is about to summon the first of the three Sacred Beasts and it requires the sacrifice of three trap cards on his side of the field.”

 

Sailor Capricorn states, in a plain tone, “Not good.”

 

Zane then calls out, putting one card on his duel disk, “Now, I sacrifice my three face-down trap cards to summon Uria, Lord of Searing Flames in attack mode!” Just then Zane's three face-down cards, Statue of the Wicked, Call of the Haunted, and Seven Tools of the Bandit, vanish as they are sacrificed, they turn into blames of flames that land behind Zane, causing a column of flames to rise into the air, and out of that column of flames, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames (0/0) appears on the field in attack mode.

 

Sailor Libra yells out, a bit fearful, “That's one of those Sacred Beast monsters?!”

 

Alexis tells Sailor Libra, nodding her head, “Yep, that's right, Mindy. I never will forget that monster.”

 

Sailor Aries says, plainly, “But it doesn't have any attack or defense points!”

 

Bastion then says, logically, “Expect Uria gains one thousand attack points for every trap card in Zane's graveyard and there are four trap cards in the grave.”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly and with a sick smile on his lips, “If you had forgotten Jaden, Uria gains one thousand attack points for every trap card in my grave and I have four, which equals a total of four thousand attack points!” Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' stats then rise from 0/0 to 4000/0! Zane then calls out, “Next, Uria destroys one set spell or trap card on your side of the field!” Uria gives a loud roar, creating a huge shockwave, and that shockwave destroys Jaden's face-down card, Hero Barrier trap card. Zane then calls out, in a dark serious tone, “Uria, destroy Jaden's Thunder Giant with Hyper Blaze!” Uria launches a powerful burst of flames right at Thunder Giant, totally vaporizing it, and Jaden loses 1600 life-points in one shot. Just then Jaden's shackles activate and he screams out in pain as he is shocked by the shackles.

 

Alexis, Syrus, and Tyranno yell out in unison and in horror, “Jaden!”

 

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, darkly, “How do you like the pain, Jaden? Don't worry, yourself, Jaden, there will be more soon enough! Now, I will place one card face-down and give you a shot!”

Have you become no better than Beryl and the Light of Destruction?! Well, whatever the case, I can't let you win Zane! I still have hope that there is good in you and I will beat you to bring it out! However, with Uria out and two more Sacred Beasts on the way, that's going to be a tall order! Last time, I used Banner's special spell card: Sabatier-The Philosopher's Stone. Can I win without it this time? No, I can't think that way! The whole world is counting on me! I won't give up! Ever!” Jaden draws one card from his deck and calls out, “All right, Zane, my move!”

 

(On the meanwhile; Inside of the Obelisk Arena)

 

Within Obelisk Arena, we find Serena and Prince Ojin facing each other on opposite sides of the dueling platform with duel disks attached to their left wrists while Darien, Serena's friends, and two guardian cats in the stands along with Yugi and his friends.

 

Prince Ojin asks Serena, “Do you have the key `princess'?”

 

Serena holds up her key and says, in a plain tone, “Right here. And the only way that you will get it is that you beat me.”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, seriously, “Winning won't be a problem! Because I come here with a purpose: To make the world see the light!”

 

Lita states, annoyed, “Has this guy gone nuts or what?!”

 

Serena tells Prince Ojin, “Prince Ojin, can't you see that you've been brainwashed?”

 

Prince Ojin replies, in a serious tone, “You're wrong! Sartorius is just the first person to understand me!”

 

Serena says, “That's just sad, your majesty.”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, with an evil grin, “You are just jealous that you don't have a friend like him!”

 

Serena tells Prince Ojin, “Yeah, right! Why would I need a friend, if you can call that freak that, like him? My friends are better.” Serena looks at her boyfriend and her friends, smiles, and says, “Because they truly care.”

 

Prince Ojin frowns in annoyance and then says, with a nasty tone and evil smile, “How cute. You travel with your own personal cheerleading squad.”

 

Lita shouts out, angrily, “Cheerleaders?!”

 

Amara states, in a rare annoyed tone, “Okay, he is starting to piss me off. Brainwashed or not.”

 

Joey yells out, angrily, “Hey, do you see pom-poms, wise guy?!”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, “It looks like that I touched a nerve. But enough about our friends, this duel is about you and me!” Serena and Prince Ojin put their dueling decks in their duel disk, they activate their duel disks, both duel disks display 4000 life-points on their life-point counters, and both duelists draw five cards from their respective decks.

 

Serena and Prince Ojin yell out in unison, “Let's duel!”

Serena draws one card from her deck and yells out, “Okay, like my brother always says: Get your game on! Ladies first!” Serena looks at her hand, puts one card on her duel disk, and says, “First, I play my Elemental Hero Cosmic Saturn in defense mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Cosmic Saturn (1500/1200) comes to the field in defense mode. Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I place one card face-down and that will be it for me!”

 

Prince Ojin draws one card from his deck and yells out, “All right, your majesty, watch this!” Prince Ojin puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I will place one card face-down!” Prince Ojin puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Trap Booster spell card! By discarding one card from my hand, I can play any trap card in my hand!” Prince Ojin sends his Satellite Cannon (0/0) to the graveyard, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “And I play Call of Haunted! So, a monster card comes back from my grave! And you know what that means don't you?!” Serena, Darien, and all of Serena's friends gasp in shock and Prince Ojin calls out, “The card that I tossed is coming back!” Just then a bright light comes from Prince Ojin's duel disk and shoots into the air. Soon after, one of the screens activates, showing one Satellite Cannon (0/0) in outer space as well as in attack mode, and Prince Ojin declares, “It's my Satellite Cannon!”

 

Serena says, a bit annoyed, “I know.”

 

Prince Ojin says, putting another card in the spell/trap slots and in a nasty sarcastic tone, “All right, smarty pants. Do you know about Infernal Reckless Summon? With it, since I special summoned a monster, I can play every duplicate card in my deck. But you already knew that right?” Just then Prince Ojin puts two cards that he had taken from somewhere in his deck on his duel disk and two more screens activate, displaying two more Satellite Cannons (0/0 X 2) in outer space in attack mode.

 

Mina exclaims, worriedly, “That's not good!”

 

Ami says, worriedly, “If that spell is what I think it is, Serena will lose in one turn.”

 

Hotaru asks, fearfully, “But she can't lose! She will lose her key and she might be brainwashed!”

 

Serena yells out, shocked, “No way! This is insane!”

 

Prince Ojin laughs evilly and he tells Serena, “Little girl, you don't know the half of it!” Prince Ojin puts the final card in his hand in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Now, I play the spell card Charge! It gives all three Satellite Cannons two thousand attack points!” Soon after, all three Satellite Cannons glow with a bright light as their stats increase from 0/0 X 3 to 2000/0 X 3! Prince Ojin then calls out, with an evil smirk, “Now, let the fun begin! Satellite Cannon Number One, vaporize her little `girl scout'!” Satellite Cannon One fires a beam of energy from its laser barrel that slams into Cosmic Saturn and she yells out as she is vaporized!

 

Serena calls out, stunned, “No!”

 

Prince Ojin then says, with an evil smirk, “After Satellite Cannon attacks, its power reduces back down to zero.” Satellite Cannon One's stats reduce back down from 2000/0 to 0/0! Prince Ojin then says, with an evil smile, “However, fortunately for me, I've got two satellites left and unfortunately for you, little princess, the second one is aiming right for your life-points!” The screens then shows Satellite Cannon Two fires down right at Serena.

 

Serena yells out, flabbergasted, “What?!” Soon after, the second attack slams right into Serena directly and she cries out as she loses 2000 life-points in one shot.

 

Darien and all Serena's friends yell out in horror, “Serena!” After the attack, Satellite Cannon Two's stats reduced down from 2000/0 to 0/0!

 

When the smoke and dust clear, Serena groans out, weakly, “I should have seen that coming.”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, with an evil grin, “One satellite left and that key is mine.”

 

Serena says, with a determined look in her expression, “We'll see, Ojin.”

 

Prince Ojin calls out, seriously, “Satellite Cannon, finish her off!” Satellite Cannon Three fires its blast right at Serena and Serena secretly and unnoticed by everyone else, pushes a button on her duel disk, just before Satellite Cannon's blast slams right into her causing a huge explosion.

 

Ami yells out, in disbelief, “Oh no! This can't be!”

 

Michelle shouts out, horrified, “She lost!”

 

Darien looks on and thinks, in total horror, “Oh, please this can't be . . . This isn't possible after all that we've gotten through . . .”

 

Prince Ojin then says, “It's over.” But just then as the smoke and dust cleared, Serena was standing tall and she didn't lose a single life-point from the attack, but she had a face-up Hero Spirit trap card on her side of the field.

 

Mina exclaims, happily, “Awesome! She survived!”

 

Prince Ojin calls out, shocked, “Impossible!”

 

Serena gives a big sigh of relief and says, a bit nervously, “Whoa. That was too close.” Serena then calls out to Prince Ojin, “Sorry, your majesty, but thanks to my Hero Spirit, this game is on! Thanks to this card, when an Elemental Hero, like my Saturn, is destroyed in battle, I can reduce the damage to one of your attacks to zero.”

 

Prince Ojin asks, perplexed, “When did you play that?”

 

Serena says, with a smile, “Just before your attack. It looks like my monster friends have got my back, too.”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, annoyed, “They are your cards, not your friends! You might have survived this attack, but just wait!” Satellite Cannon Three stats' reduce down back from 2000/0 to 0/0!

 

Serena calls out, in a strong tone, “Sorry, Prince Ojin, but with my friends by my side, I will more power that you can ever imagine and I won't lose this duel.”

 

Prince Ojin shouts out, annoyed, “I don't need friends! I have these! Satellite Cannons, restore your power!” All three Satellite Cannons have their stats increase from 0/0 X 3 to 1000/0 X 3. Prince Ojin then says, with an evil smile, “Your move, girl.”

Serena says, a bit annoyed, “It's about time.” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play my Pot of Greed! And I draw two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, put them into her hand, and says, putting one card on her duel disk, “Now, I play my Elemental Hero Cosmic Jupiter to the field in attack mode!” Soon after, a monster looking similar to Sailor Jupiter, in her first form, expect with the her tiara is pure silver along with the bow on the jewel in the bust area of her bodysuit and a silver bow attached to the rear of the mini-skirt comes to the field. This new monster, Elemental Hero Cosmic Jupiter, has 1800/1500 stats! Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “Then I play my Golden Crystal spell! Now, I sacrifice all Elemental Hero monsters with the word `Cosmic' in their name in order to upgrade them to their `Star' level!” Elemental Hero Cosmic Jupiter is engulfed in bright light as a card comes out of Serena's deck, she puts the card on her duel disk, and she calls out, “Now, I summon my Elemental Hero Star Jupiter to the field in attack mode!” Soon after, a new monster that looks like Super Sailor Jupiter comes to the field, expect she has a silver tiara, silver rose earrings, silver bows on the heart jewel in the bust area of her bodysuit and on the rear of her mini-skirt, and silver high-heeled boots comes to the field and she has 2450/2000 stats! Serena then calls out, “And she has got one powerful special ability to boot! When she destroys a Water-attribute or Machine-type monster in battle, you lose three hundred additional life-points automatically!”

 

Prince Ojin shouts out, shocked, “Say what?!”

 

Serena shouts out, “Okay, Jupiter, take out those rust buckets! Super Sparkling Wide Crusher!” Cosmic Jupiter gives an Amazon-like roar similar to Sailor Jupiter's as she launches a huge orb of electric power right one of the Satellite Cannon and it slams into it causing it to widely spark and crack while Prince Ojin loses 1450 life-points.

 

Prince Ojin then says, with a evil sly smirk, “Sorry, but your attack didn't even scratch my satellite.” Serena looks at the screen to see Satellite Cannon has indeed survived her monster's assault and Serena gasp in shock.

 

Serena shouts out, stunned, “But how?!”

 

Ami calls out to Serena, “Serena, Satellite Cannon can only be destroyed by monsters that are level seven or higher!”

 

Serena states, drolly, “Just great.” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I place one card face-down and call it a turn!”

Now, the Satellite Cannon I had chosen gains the attack points of the other two!” Satellite Cannon Three's stats rise from 1000/0 to 3000/0! Prince Ojin tells Serena, “I count three thousand points. How about you?!” Prince Ojin then yells out, “Satellite Cannon, turn her little girlfriend into cinders!” Satellite Cannon Three fires its blast and Elemental Hero Star Jupiter yells out in pain as it is destroyed. Satellite Cannon Three's stats then reduce down back to 0/0 and Prince Ojin says, in an evil sarcastic tone, “Sure, you lost your only monster, but your life-points were spared thanks to my spell card's effect!”

 

Serena pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Might want to recheck that, pal! I play Hero Signal!” Serena's face-down card is revealed to be Hero Signal and Serena says, “When one of my monsters is destroyed, I can summon an Elemental Hero from my deck to the field as long as it is level four or below!” A card comes out of Serena's deck, Serena puts in on her duel disk, and yells out, “And I call my Bubbleman to the field!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Bubbleman (800/1200) comes to the field in defense mode. Serena then says, drawing two cards from her deck, “And since he is the only one on the field, I get two more cards from my deck!”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, annoyed, “Fine! I replenish the power of my satellites and end my turn!” Satellite Cannons One and Two get their stats raises from 1000/0 to 2000/0 while Satellite Cannon Three's stats rise from 0/0 to 1000/0!

 

Serena draws one card from her deck, puts the card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “First, I play my Hero Draw spell card! It allows me to draw two cards for every Elemental Hero I've got on the field and since I've got Bubbleman, I get two more cards!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, her Field Spell slot opens, and she says, putting a card in the slot, “Next, I play the Field Spell known as Neo-Space!” When the slot on Serena's duel disk closes, the field transforms to outer space overlooking the Earth with the three Satellite Cannons overhead, and Prince Ojin looks around in confusion. Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I play my Fiend Sanctuary spell card! This card allows me to gain a cute little Metal Fiend Token on my side of the field!” Soon after, Metal Fiend Token (0/0) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then puts a card on her duel disk and says, “Then I sacrifice my Fiend Token and my Bubbleman to summon Elemental Hero Neos!” Soon after, Bubbleman and Metal Fiend Token vanish as they are sacrifice and Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000-3000/2000) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I play my Quick-Summon spell card! Now, I can summon another monster!” Serena puts a card on her duel disk and calls out, “And I summon my Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin in attack mode!” Soon after, Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin (600/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then calls out, “And now! Contact Fusion! Neos! Aqua Dolphin! Unite to form Elemental Hero Aqua Neos!” The two monster cards are return to Serena's deck, Serena puts a fusion monster card from her fusion deck on her duel disk, the two monsters unite in mid-air, and Elemental Hero Aqua Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Prince Ojin says, not impressed, “So, what?”

 

Serena shouts out, “If you aren't impressed, wait until he gets five hundred more attack points, thanks to Neo-Space!” Elemental Hero Aqua Neos' stats rise from 2500/2000 to 3000/2000! Serena then states, “And since Aqua Neos is a level seven monster, you are out of luck!” Serena then commands, “Aqua Neos, attack the Satellite Cannon with the least attack points! Sonic Zoom!” Elemental Hero Aqua Neos fires a stream of water from its right hand at the weakest Satellite Cannon, destroys it in huge explosion, and costing Prince Ojin 2000 life-points. Serena tells Prince Ojin, with a smile while putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “You want some more pal?! My friends and I are just getting warmed up!”

Neo-Spacian Celestial Phoenix tells Serena, telepathically, “Well said, your majesty!” Prince Ojin groans out in annoyance, then Sartorius' evil cackle is heard, and everyone looks to see a hologram of him behind Prince Ojin.

 

The hologram of Sartorius says, “My prince, put your faith in destiny and remember, that key is destined to return to us.”

 

Prince Ojin tells the hologram, with a sly smile, “I won't let you down sir.”

 

The hologram of Sartorius tells Prince Ojin, “Finish her off, bring that key to us, and bring her into the light.”

 

Prince Ojin says, plainly, “Of course.”

 

Lita exclaims, angrily, “What's that jerk doing here?!”

 

Amara says, annoyed, “Who knows?”

 

The hologram of Prince Ojin fades away, Prince Ojin turns back to Serena, and he says, with a evil sly smirk, “It looks like you were wrong, princess. I do have a friend after all. And moving on . . .” Prince Ojin pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “I activate Debris Station!” Prince Ojin's face-down card is revealed to be the trap card known as Debris Station, the two remaining Satellite Cannons on the field glow, and both of them explode into pieces.

 

Serena yells out, perplexed, “What the? Why did you destroy your own monsters?”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, seriously, “In order to build something better! You see, Debris Station takes the shatter remains of my satellites in order to create something better.” Just then a space-station appears above Prince Ojin, absorbs the remains of the two other Satellite Cannons, and Prince Ojin takes a fusion monster card from his fusion deck, puts on his duel disk, and calls out, “Satellite Laser Balsam, show yourself!” Soon after, the huge space-station explodes and Satellite Laser X-065 Balsam (0/2000) comes to the field in attack mode! Prince Ojin then says, “Thanks to Debris Station, Satellite Laser Balsam gains three thousand attack points!” Satellite Laser X-065 Balsam's stats then rise from 0/2000 to 3000/2000! Prince Ojin then says, with a sly grin, “Time to hand over that key.”

 

Serena replies, “This duel isn't over, yet.”

 

Just then spiritual image of Sartorius appears on the field and he says, “Oh, but it will be my dear. Prince Ojin, it is time for you to feel the power of the light.” The spirit of Sartorius goes inside of Prince Ojin and he gets covered in a sickly white aura.

 

Luna says, worriedly, “That's not good. The Light of Destruction has been infused within Prince Ojin.”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, speaking in two voices instead of one, “The Light of Destruction! It radiates within me! Now, witness my strength!” Prince Ojin draws one card from his deck, puts the card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Now, I play my Book of Moon spell! Now, your Aqua Neos switches into face-down defense mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Aqua Neos switches from attack mode into face-down defense mode.

 

Serena asks, perplexed, “What did you do that for?!”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, with an evil smile, “Preparing for your demise! Take a look, you are in Balsam's range!” Prince Ojin calls out, “Balsam, time to rain fire on that alien freak of hers!”

 

Serena tells Prince Ojin, seriously, “You put Aqua Neos in defense, so, my life-points are safe!”

 

Prince Ojin tells Serena, with an evil grin, “That's why you are such a Meatball Head, isn't it?! With Balsam, if he destroys a monster with fewer defense points than his attack points, the difference comes out of your score.”

 

Serena states, drolly, “Just perfect.” Soon after, little mini-reflector dishes come out of Balsam as it charges up for its attack, the reflectors get into position, and Prince Ojin says, “Reflectors standing by, energy replenish is complete, and now . . . Fire!” Balsam fires a beam from its laser barrel, the beam slams into the reflectors, and it is magnified as the attack slams into Aqua Neos, flipping him face-up, and destroying him, causing Serena to lose 1000 life-points, thanks to Balsam's special effect.

 

Prince Ojin launches evilly, not noticing Serena pushes a button on her duel disk, and calls out, in his twin voices evilly, “You know what I say? Have all the friends that you want! Me, I'll take the greatest power on Earth!”

 

Serena yells out, with a smile on her lips, “Ha! Sartorius' power is nothing compared to the power of love and friendship! I should know since I am Sailor Moon, but I think that I will let my monster friends do the talking for me! All right, unite!” Just then the pieces of Aqua Neos begin to unite together and transform into mirror-like images of Elemental Hero Neos and Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin.

 

Prince Ojin asks, perplexed, “What's this?!”

 

Serena points to her face-up Change of Hero-Reflector Ray trap card and says, “It's my Reflector Ray! When a fusion monster with the words `Elemental Hero' in it is crushed, the monsters that created him become a mirror that reflects the damage right back at you! So, you lose three hundred life-points times my monster's level and that's twenty-one hundred points!”

 

Prince Ojin yells out, in total disbelief, “No, it can't be!”

 

Serena tells Prince Ojin, with a sly grin on her lips, “Now, what was that you said before? Power wins over friendship? Want to take that back?” Soon after, Balsam fires its laser at the `mirror monsters', they reflect the beam right back at Prince Ojin, and he screams out as he is slammed with 2100 points of damage to his life-points, ending the duel immediately. Soon after, Prince Ojin falls to his hands and knees causing the spiritual form of Sartorius to come out of him.

 

The spiritual form of Sartorius' growls and states, “Next time, I will duel!” Soon after, he fades away along with the final holograms on the field.

Mina exclaims, excitedly, “Way to go, Serena!”

 

Hotaru yells out, excitedly, “That was great, Serena-hime!”

 

Darien thinks in his mind, with a wide smile, “Well done, Sere', I am so proud of you. You've become even stronger than before, even if you don't know it.”

 

Serena looks at her friends and says, lowly, “Thanks, Darien-chan. And as well as you, girls, you are the greatest.” Serena then looks over to another part of the stands and see Linda looking at him. Serena then slowly walks over to Prince Ojin, still on his hands and knees.

 

Prince Ojin calls out, “Sartorius, where are you?!” Prince Ojin lowers his head and says, solemnly, “Great. He abandoned me. I'm alone again.”

 

Serena tells Prince Ojin, “That's not true, Prince Ojin. You don't need him, your majesty. You've got someone else.” When Prince Ojin looks up at Serena, Linda walks up to the two of them.

 

Linda tells Prince Ojin, “Prince Ojin!”

 

Prince Ojin asks, surprised, “Linda, how long have you been here?!”

 

Linda replies, “I've always been here, by your side, even when you were yourself. Do you know why my prince?”

 

Prince Ojin replies, lowly, “Because you are my friend.” Prince Ojin smiles warmly at this and so does Serena, but then Serena hears Jaden's scream of pain ring through her mind.

 

Serena gasps in shock, whips her head towards the door, and she calls out, “Jaden!” Everyone then looks at her and Serena then immediately jumps off the stage, running out of the stadium.

 

Lita yells out, shocked, “What's gotten into her?!”

 

Trista replies, in a plain tone, “The bond of brother and sister between our prince and princess is just as strong as the bond between our princess and Darien. Jaden must in grave danger and Serena heard him cry out in pain or for help in her mind.”

 

Lita then shouts out, seriously, “Then what are we waiting for?!” Soon after, Darien, the two guardian cats, and Serena's friends get out of their seats and immediately rush after their princess followed by Yugi and his friends.

 

Mina calls out to Serena, “Serena, wait up!”

 

Tea shouts out, “Yeah, not everyone is a super-hero like you, girlfriend!”

 

As Serena runs through the halls of Duel Academy, heading for the exit, she thinks in her mind, “Don't worry, Jaden. I'm on my way!” Soon after, Serena prepares to use her transformation brooch and get over to where the duel between Zane and Jaden is currently.

 

(Back between the duel between Jaden and Zane; A short time soon after)

 

Going back to the duel between Zane and Jaden, Zane has 6400 life-points, one face-down card, and Uria, Lord of Searing Flames (4000/0) in attack mode while Jaden has 3400 life-points, no face-downs, and one monsters on the field, but it is his turn and he prepares to make his move.

 

Jaden puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “Now, I summon my Elemental Hero Bubbleman in attack mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Bubbleman (800/1200) comes to the field in attack mode and Jaden says, with a smile, “And since he is all alone, I get to draw two more cards and I know they will be some sweet ones!” Jaden draws two cards from his deck, his typical grin becoming even wider, he puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “And it is good to be right! I play Bubble Shuffle! Now, I can switch Bubbleman and one monster on your field to defense mode! And I choose Uria!” Bubbleman and Uria then switch from attack mode to defense mode. Jaden then puts a card on his duel disk and calls out, “Next, I can also sacrifice my Bubbleman to summon one Elemental Hero from my hand, so, Zane, meet Elemental Hero Neos!” Bubbleman vanishes from the field as he is sacrificed and Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Zane sneers and says, with a sick smile and dark tone, “So, those are the Neo-Spacian monsters that I heard that you have. The alien Duel Monsters. Even so, your alien freaks are no match for my deck!”

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Well, we can see what we can do to change that Zane! Now, I play my Neos Force spell card! This card gives my Elemental Hero Neos an extra eight hundred attack points!” Elemental Hero Neos' stats increase from 2500/2000 to 3300/2000! Jaden then calls out, “Now, Neos, attack Uria with Cosmic Crush!” Elemental Hero Neos leaps into the air, karate chops Uria in half, and it roars as it explodes.

 

Zane states, darkly and not impressed, “So, what was the point, Jaden? Uria was in defense mode so my life-points are safe.”

 

Jaden tells Zane, with a sly smile, “Not quite, Zane! Since Neos is equipped with Neos Force, you take damage to your life-points equal to your destroyed monster's attack points and that's four thousand!” Zane yells out in shock and Jaden calls out, “Neos, its time to give Zane a reminder what dueling is all about!” Elemental Hero Neos prepares to blast Zane with a blast of aurora colored energy.

 

Zane pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, darkly, “I don't think so, Jaden! I play my Fusion Guard!” Zane's face-down card is revealed to be Fusion Guard and Zane says, darkly and with a sick smile on his face, “Since I'm about to lose life-points from a card effect, all I have to do is sent a Fusion monster to my graveyard and its effect is negated!” Zane takes his Five-Headed Dragon (5000/5000) monster card from his fusion deck, puts the card in the graveyard, and Neos' `attack' is stopped.

 

Jaden puts three cards in the spell/trap slots and says, a bit drolly, “I'll end with three face-downs.”

 

Zane tells Jaden, with his sick smile on his lips and in a dark tone, “I've got to say Jaden, I'm impressed. You've gotten stronger since we last dueled, but I wouldn't expect any less from you. That's what makes this duel more exciting. The stronger my opponent, the pleasure I will have inflicting pain and crushing you!”

 

Sailor Scorpio says, a bit fearfully, “Geez! Has he gone off the deep end or what?”

 

Zane draws one card from his deck and yells out, darkly, “Now, let the destruction continue! Thanks to Fallen Paradise, I draw two more cards from my deck!” Zane draws two more cards from his deck, Zane discards one card from his hand, a Jar of Greed trap card, and calls out, “And now, by sacrificing one trap card from my hand, Uria automatically resurrects!” Soon after, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames (0/0) reappears on the field in attack mode from a column of flames. Zane then calls out, “And since, there are two more trap cards in my grave, Uria's attack points are six thousand!” Uria's stats rise from 0/0 to 6000/0!

 

Atticus yells out, shocked, “Six thousand attack points?! That's just nuts!”

 

Zane then calls out, darkly, “Next, I play Uria's special ability! And I destroy one spell or trap card on your side of the field! And I choose the middle one!” Uria gives a super-sonic screech that destroys Jaden's face-down card, his Mirror Force trap card. Zane then puts a card in the spell/trap slots and shouts out, with his sick smile on his lips, “But it gets worse for you, Jaden! I play my Graceful Charity! Now, I draw three cards as long as I discard two!” Zane draws three more cards from his deck, looks at his hand, gives his sick smile, discards two cards from his hand, puts one card on his duel disk, and calls out, “Next, I summon my Dark Summon God in attack mode!” Soon after, demonic-like creature, Dark Summon God (0/0) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Jaden asks, perplexed, “Hold on! That monster doesn't have any attack or defense points!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, with his sick smile and dark tone, “Nice for you to point that out, Jaden! That's right! This creature doesn't have any attack or defense power, but it does come with a powerful special ability! If any of the Sacred Beasts exists in my graveyard, I can sacrifice this creature to summon one of them to the field! And guess which cards I sent to my grave, thanks to Graceful Charity?!”

 

Jaden gasps in shock and shouts out, stunned, “Wait! You mean . . .?!”

 

Zane interrupts by calling out, darkly, “That's right! The cards that I discarded were Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder and Ravel, Lord of Phantasms!”

 

Everyone gasps out in shock and Alexis states, stunned, “He discarded the other two Sacred Beasts in order to summon them to the field without needing their summoning requirements?!”

 

Zane then calls out, in a dark tone, “Now, I sacrifice my monster in order to bring out, Ravel, Lord of Phantasms in attack mode!” Soon after, Dark Summons God vanishes from the field, a bright blue beam comes out Zane's graveyard, forcing everyone to cover their eyes, and out of the blue light, Ravel, Lord of Phantasms (4000/4000) comes to the field in attack mode with a loud roar.

 

Sailor Libra asks, fearfully, “What . . .What is that?”

 

Syrus says, plainly and fearfully, “Trouble . . . With a capital `T'!”

 

Tyranno yells out, shocked, “Whoa! You were kidding about those Sacred Beasts creatures, soldier! Nasty!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, with a sickly smile on his lips, “Don't worry, Jaden. The monster summoned by this effect can't attack on the same turn, but that doesn't mean that you are safe, Jaden!” Zane then commands, in a dark tone, “Now, Uria, attack his Neos with Hyper Blaze!” Uria launches a blaze beam of heat energy right at Elemental Hero Neos, it slams into the powerful Elemental Hero, and he is vaporized on contact causing Jaden to lose 2700 life-points in one shot. Jaden then screams out in extreme pain as he is shocked by the shackles on his neck and arms.

 

Alexis, Syrus, Tyranno, Atticus, Bastion, Blair, and the others call out in horror, “Jaden!”

 

Jaden falls to his knees, but he pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Now, I play my trap! Hero Signal!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be Hero Signal and Jaden says, while breathing heavily, “Thanks to this trap card, I can summon an Elemental Hero that's level four . . . or less . . . when you destroy one of my monsters in battle!” Jaden goes through his deck, takes one card from his deck, puts his deck back in his duel disk, and calls out, putting the card on his duel disk, “And I summon my Wildheart to protect me!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Wildheart (1500/1600) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Zane yells out, in a dark tone, “Now, Ravel's effect activates and I summon one Sacred Beast Token to the field!” Soon after, one Sacred Beast (1000/1000) comes to the field in defense mode. Zane then shouts out, darkly, “But I won't need him since that shrimp won't last long because I'm ending this duel right now!”

 

Jaden asks, perplexed, “But how?!”

 

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “With this! I play Mischief of the Time Goddess! Now, your turn is skipped and I go back to my Battle Phase!”

 

Syrus exclaims, horrified, “That's not good!”

 

Alexis says, worriedly, “Now, Zane can attack with both Sacred Beasts at once!”

 

Zane calls out, darkly, “That's exactly what it means! Ravel, take out that peon with Shimmering Scraper!” Ravel's right clawed hand glows, he slams it into Wildheart, and the hero roars out in pain as he is destroyed.

 

Jaden calls out, shocked, “Wildheart!”

 

Zane then shouts out, darkly, “Now, Uria, finish Jaden off! Hyper Blaze!” Uria launches a burst of flames from his mouth right at Jaden directly.

 

Jaden pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “I don't think so, Zane! I play Flute of Summoning Kuriboh!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be Flute of Summoning Kuriboh Quick-spell card, a card comes out of Jaden's deck, he puts that card on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I can summon Winged Kuriboh to the field in defense mode!” Soon after, Winged Kuriboh (300/200) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Zane then shouts out, in a dark tone, “And I get another Sacred Beast Token!” Soon after, another Sacred Beast Token (1000/1000) comes to the field in defense mode and Uria's attack destroys Winged Kuriboh.

 

Jaden tells Zane, in a serious tone, “However, Zane, since you destroyed Winged Kuriboh, all my damage this turn goes to zero!”

 

Zane states, darkly, “You are only prolonging your suffering Jaden! I use Fallen Paradise's effect! Since I am in a new turn, I get to draw two more cards from my deck!” Zane draws two more card from his deck, puts two cards in the spell/trap slots, and says, darkly, “I'll end with two cards face-down and give you a shot! Good luck! You'll need it!”

Atticus says, worriedly, “Oh, man! Jaden's really low on life-points! He needs something really big to turn this around!”

 

Alexis tells Atticus, “I know that Jaden can do it! He has found a way to turn things and win!” Alexis thinks in her mind, worriedly, “Come on, Jaden. I know that you can do this.”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, “All right, my move!”

 

Zane pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Now, I play my trap! Undying Class!” Zane's face-down card is revealed to be the Undying Class trap card.

 

Jaden asks, confused, “What does that do?!”

 

Zane replies, with a dark tone and a sick smile on his lips, “Simple, fool. By sacrificing two monsters on my side of the field, I can summon one monster level seven or higher from my grave to the field without any questions! So, guess who is joining the party?”

 

Jaden gasps out in shock and calls out, “You mean that you are . . .?”

 

Zane calls out, darkly, “That's right, Jaden! I sacrifice my two Beast Tokens in order to summon the final Sacred Beast! Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder!” The two Sacred Beasts vanish from the field and a huge rain of thunder comes down from the skies, crashing behind Zane, and out of the explosion, Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder (4000/4000) comes to the field in attack mode! Zane then tells Jaden, in a dark tone, “And with one more trap card in the graveyard, Uria's attack points increase by one thousand more for a grand total of seven thousand attack points!” Uria's stats increase from 6000/0 to 7000/0!

 

Bastion calls out, shocked, “Oh no! He has summoned all three Sacred Beasts together!”

 

Alexis quickly looks at her cards and says, perplexed, “Hold on! Those Sacred Beasts usually gather energy from duelists and their cards, but our cards aren't affected this time. Remember?” Everyone then looks through their dueling decks to see all of their cards are just fine.

 

Bastion asks, perplexed, “You're right. What's going on? Why aren't our cards disappearing like last time?”

 

Queen Beryl yells out, “I would have something to do with that! You see, Zane Truesdale's black heart, full of anger, rage, hate, cruelty, pain, and all of the lovely negative emotions that I so love about you pathetic humans, is what I needed to harness the dark powers of the Sacred Beast cards! I have plenty of knowledge of the Shadow Games, so, I made sure that Zane's dark spirit can harness the full powers of the Sacred Beasts just as that rotten Moon brat's own pure and good spirit can! And this time, we aren't looking to use pathetic Duel Monsters' spirits, we plan to absorb the life-energy of every single duelist on the planet and the rival of the Negaverse can truly begin!”

 

Jaden shouts out, in total shock, “You can't!”

 

Queen Beryl replies, with an evil smile on his lips, “Wrong, Prince Judai! Zane and I can with the Sacred Beast cards and the power of the shadows and the Negaverse! Every time that you got shocked by the shackles, your energy was drained into the Sacred Beasts and soon, thanks to your power, the world shall finally bow down before me!”

 

Jaden yells out, in a serious and determined tone, “Never! I'll fight until my last life-point is gone!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly, “Give it up, Jaden! You can't beat the power of the three Sacred Beasts without Banner's help!”

 

Jaden retorts, seriously, “Wrong, Zane! Remember, a duel isn't over until the last card is played!” Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, determinedly, “And speaking of cards, I play my Fifth Hope spell card! Here's how it works! I return five Elemental Hero cards from my grave to my deck! And the heroes that I putting back are Bubbleman, Sparkman, Clayman, Wildheart, and Thunder Giant! Come on back gang!” The five named cards came out of Jaden's deck, Jaden puts them back into his deck and fusion deck, Jaden reshuffles his deck, puts his deck back in his duel disk, draws three cards, and says, “After I reshuffle my deck, I draw three cards, but since this was the only card in my hand when I played it, I get an extra card!” Jaden draws one card from his deck, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play my Silent Doom! And I use it to bring Neos back to the field!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) comes back to the field in defense mode.

 

Zane then says, darkly, “Now, a new Beast Token comes to the field!” Soon after, another Beast Token (1000/1000) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Jaden puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Okay, but he won't be staying long! So, now, I play my Hero Draw spell card! This card allows me to draw two cards for every Elemental Hero on the field and with Neos out in play, I get two more cards!” Jaden draws two more cards from his deck and says, putting another card in the spell/trap slots, “Then I play my Dark Spell Regeneration spell! This card allows me to duplicate any card in our graveyards and I choose Pot of Greed! Giving me two more cards!” Jaden then draws two more cards from his deck, Jaden puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Then I play my Spell Economics spell card! As long as this card remains on the field, I don't have to pay life-points to play my spell cards! Sweet, huh?”

 

Zane tells Jaden, darkly, “That pathetic card won't stop me.”

 

Jaden puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, “But maybe this will! I play my Ties to the Brethren spell card! Normally, I have to pay one thousand life-points to use it, but thanks to Spell Economics, I don't have to! Now, I can summon two level four or less monsters from my deck directly to the field!” Jaden goes through his deck, takes out two cards from his deck, puts the two cards on his duel disk after he returns his deck to his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I summon Neo-Spacian Glow Moss and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther!” Soon after, Neo-Spacian Glow (300/900) and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther (1000/100) come to the field in defense mode.

 

Zane says, darkly, “Now, I can play two more Beast Tokens, but since I only have one slot open, I can only summon one!” Soon after, another Beast Token (1000/1000) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Jaden then calls out, “Fine by me! Neos! Panther! Glow Moss! Triple Contact Fusion! Unite to form Elemental Hero . . . Chaos Neos!” All three monsters leap into the air as the three monster cards return to Jaden's deck, Jaden takes a fusion monster card from his fusion deck, puts it on his duel disk, and when all three monster combine, there is a bright light and out of that light, Elemental Hero Chaos Neos (3000/2500) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Bastion exclaims, amazed, “Incredible! Another incredible new fusion!”

 

Jaden calls out to Zane, “Thanks to Chaos Neos, you are out of luck! As long as he remains on the field, all monster effect's on my opponent's side of the field are negated!”

 

Zane calls out, in a rare shocked tone, “What?!” Soon after, Hamon, Uria, and Ravel roar out as their abilities are negated and Uria's stats reduce down to 0/0!

Jaden then shouts out, “Now, Chaos Neos, attack Uria with Chaos Storm!” Chaos Neos creates a huge storm of light and dark energy that smashes into Uria and destroying it, costing Zane 3000 life-points. Zane's shackles activate and shock him, but he doesn't even flinch from the assault of electric energy. Jaden asks Zane, a bit concerned, “Doesn't that hurt?”

 

Zane yells out, nastily, “Sorry, Jaden, but I don't feel a thing and soon, I will be able to summon Uria back!”

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and states, “You won't get the chance! I play my Contact Out Quick-spell card! Thanks to this, if I have a fusion monster created from Elemental Hero Neos on the field, I can send that monster back to my fusion deck and summon all of the fusion material monsters from my deck back to the field! So, adios, pal, and come on back Panther, Glow Moss, and Neos!” Elemental Hero Chaos Neos vanishes as it is returned to the fusion deck, three lights comes from Jaden's deck, lands on his duel disk, and Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000), Neo-Spacian Glow Moss (300/900), and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther (1000/100) return to the field in defense mode. Jaden then says, with a sly grin, “And since I've summoned new monsters, you have to summon three more Beast Tokens, but since you have only one monster slot, you can have to fill that slot!” Just then another Beast Token (1000/1000) comes to the field to fill the empty monster slot. Jaden then says, with a smile, “And you can't summon Uria back without any empty monster slots to bring him back to!”

 

Zane growls in anger and Atticus yells out, with a smile, “Way to play, Jay!”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, with a smile, “Good job, soldier!”

 

Jaden puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “I'll end with two face-downs!”

Zane draws one card from his deck, then draws two more cards, thanks to his Field Spell, Zane pushes a button on his duel disk, and says, “That's what you think Jaden! I play another Undying Class trap card!” Zane's other face-down card is revealed to be a second Undying Class trap card, causing everyone to gasp in shock, and Zane calls out, darkly, “Then I sacrifice two Beast Tokens to summon back Uria!” Two Beast Tokens vanish from the field and Uria, Lord of Searing Flames (0/0-8000/0) in attack mode. Zane then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, in a strong dark tone, “Now, I play the card that will end this duel! Death by Dimensional Fusion! By removing the three Sacred Beasts from play, I can do something that no one has done before! Fuse them together!”

 

Everyone gasps in shock and Bastion yells out, horrified, “Fuse the Sacred Beasts together?!”

 

Alexis calls out, perplexed, “Is that even possible?!”

 

Atticus tells Alexis, “Well, sis, we are about to find out!”

 

Zane calls out, as he removes the three Sacred Beast cards from play, puts a fusion monster card on his fusion deck, and in a dark tone, “Now, Jaden, meet the monster of your doom! Armityle the Chaos Phantom!” The three Sacred Beasts go into a dimensional vortex in the sky, the vortex crackles and glows, and the vortex explodes into a giant beam of black light. Soon after, a huge demonic humanoid creature similar in height to The Creator of Light that looks like a mixture of the three Sacred Beast monsters and this monster, Armityle the Chaos Phantom, has 0/0 stats!

 

Jaden calls out, perplexed, “Huh? All that for that monster? But it has no attack or defense points!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, with a sick smile on his lips, “Actually, when it attacks or when it is attacked, once per turn, it can inflict ten thousand points of battle damage to the enemy monster!”

 

Bastion calls out, shocked, “Great Scott! That means that its attack power is actually ten thousand!”

 

Zane shouts out, darkly, “So, the nerd gets it! Now, Armityle, destroy his Elemental Hero Neos with Chaos Oblivion!” Armityle's eyes glow as its stats rise to 10,000/0 and it blasts Elemental Hero Neos with a huge sphere of darkness energy, totally obliterating it, but since it was in defense mode, Jaden's life-points are safe.

 

Jaden calls out, shocked, “Neos, no!”

 

Zane puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and states, “I'll put these face-down and give you a shot!”

 

Syrus exclaims, horrified, “Oh, man! This isn't good! With a monster like that, Jaden doesn't stand a chance!”

 

Atticus tells Syrus, “Come on, Syi! You know that Jaden can and always wins at the last minute!”

 

Alexis says, worriedly, “Come on . . .”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and shouts out, “Now, I switch both monsters to attack mode!” Neo-Spacian Glow Moss and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther switch from defense to attack mode.

 

Zane says, darkly, “Ha! Neither of those peons stands a chance against my creature!”

 

Jaden calls out, with a sly smile on his lips, “We'll see when I play Dark Panther's ability! You see, once per turn, he can copy the name, attribute, type, and most of all, abilities of any monster on your side of the field and I choose your Chaos Phantom!” Soon after, Dark Panther melts into a puddle of black liquid and then transforms into an exact duplicate of Armityle the Chaos Phantom.

 

Zane shouts out, stunned, “That can't be possible!”

 

Jaden calls out, with a smile, “Oh, but it is Zane! Now, Dark Panther, destroy Armityle the Chaos Phantom!” Dark Panther, in the form of Armityle the Chaos Phantom, attacks the real Armityle the Chaos Phantom, both of their attack points become 10,000, and they both destroy each other in the process!

 

Zane and Queen Beryl yell out in unison, shocked, “No!”

 

Atticus yells out, excitedly, “He did it! He destroyed the fusion monster of the three Sacred Beasts!”

 

Syrus calls out, happily, “Way to go, Jay!”

 

Sailor Aries says, seriously, “Don't celebrate, yet! This duel is far from over!”

 

Jaden then calls out, “Now, Glow Moss' ability activates!” Three spheres, one green, one yellow, and one red, appear in Glow Moss' hands and Jaden tells Zane, “Now, you draw one card from your deck and show it to me! The type of card will determine Glow Moss' ability!”

 

Zane draws one card, displays it to be Card of Sanctity, and calls out, “It's the spell card, Card of Sanctity!”

 

Jaden yells out, with a smile, “Sweet! Glow Moss can attack you direct with Spore Spear!” Glow Moss leaps into the air, throws a spear of light energy into Zane's chest, costing him 300 life-points, causing his shackles to shock him again. However, he doesn't lose the sick smile on his lips or winch in pain. Jaden gives a bit of a nervous look, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “I place a face-down and call it a turn!”

Zane calls out, drawing one card from his deck, “Your last turn!” Zane draws two more cards from his deck, thanks to Fallen Paradise, Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, darkly, “First, I play Card of Sanctity! Now, both of us draw until we have six cards in our hands!” Both duelists then draw until they have six cards in their hands, Zane pushes a button on his duel disk, and shouts out, “Next, I play my trap! Call of the Haunted! This card allows me to bring my Cyber Dark Horn back to the field!” Soon after, Cyber Dark Horn (800/800) comes back to the field in attack mode! Zane then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and shouts out, “Finally, I play Polymerization! I fuse my Cyber Dark Horn with Cyber Dark Edge and Cyber Dark Keel!”

 

Syrus yells out, worriedly, “Oh no! Zane's about to bring out his real ultimate monster!” Zane discards the three monster cards to the graveyard, Cyber Dark Edge (800/800) and Cyber Dark Keel (800/800) appear on the field with Cyber Dark Horn, all three monsters go into a fusion vortex, and Zane puts a fusion monster card on his duel disk.

 

Zane then calls out, darkly, “Now, Jaden, meet my ultimate monster and the pride of the Underworld deck! The monster that will send you to hell! Cyber Dark Dragon!” Out of the fusion vortex, Cyber Dark Dragon (1000/1000) appears on the field in attack mode.

 

Jaden says, worriedly, “This isn't good!”

 

Zane tells Jaden, with his sick smile on his lips, “Now, it isn't good at all, Jaden. Because my Dark Dragon can take one dragon monster from our graveyard and absorb its power! And I choose my Five-Headed Dragon!” A bright glow comes from Zane's graveyard, Five-Headed Dragon comes to the field, and is captured by Cyber Dark Dragon's claws with IV wires attached to its forehead causing Cyber Dark Dragon's stats to rise from 1000/1000 to 6000/1000. Zane then tells Jaden, with a sick smile and dark tone, “And plus, my Cyber Dark Dragon gains one hundred attack points for every single card in my graveyard. And with twenty-one cards in my graveyard, you are out of luck.” Cyber Dark Dragon's stats then increase from 6000/1000 to 8100/1000!

 

Alexis yells out, horrified, “Over eight thousand attack points! Jaden can't stand up to that!”

 

Zane calls out, darkly, “That's the point! Cyber Dark Dragon, destroy his Glow Moss and end this duel! Hellfire Roar!” Cyber Dark Dragon gives a loud roar of power as it heads straight for Neo-Spacian Glow Moss.

 

All of Jaden's friends and allies yell out in unison, “Jaden, no!” Just then Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Scouts arrive on the scene to find that Jaden was about to lose.

 

Tuxedo Mask yells out, horrified, “Oh no! Jaden is about to lose!”

 

Jaden then pushes a button on his duel disk and calls out, “Think again, Zane! I activate my trap! Hero's Soul!” Just then Jaden's face-down is revealed to be a trap card with a picture of Elemental Hero Clayman coming out of the graveyard to shield another monster. Jaden shouts out, in a serious tone, “By removing an Elemental Hero from my graveyard from play, I can reduce your negate all damage from your attack! And I remove Neos from my grave!” Jaden removes his Elemental Hero Neos from play, a image of him appears in front of Jaden, and Neos holds his arms out, using his `body' to protect him from Cyber Dark Dragon's attack while Neo-Spacian Glow Moss is destroyed.

 

Zane growls in anger and shouts out, in dark annoyance, “You are only prolonging your suffering, Jaden!”

 

Jaden tells Zane, in a serious tone, “We'll see about that Zane!”

 

Just then Neos looks at Jaden and tells him, “Jaden, the power of your kingdom is the key to winning this fight!”

 

Jaden asks Neos, perplexed, “What do you mean Neos?”

 

Neos tells Jaden, “You will know what to do, your majesty. You are one of three Chosen Duelists. Look inside yourself and you will know.” Elemental Hero Neos then fades away soon after.

 

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, darkly, “I'll place this face-down and call it a turn!”

 

Soon after, Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and the others arrive on the scene and Sailor Moon asks Alexis, “How is my brother doing Alexis?”

 

Alexis replies, solemnly, “Not good. Jaden is down to his last seven hundred life-points, he has no monsters, and Zane has his Cyber Dark Dragon out, which thanks to its special ability, it has gained over eight thousand attack points.”

 

Sailor Jupiter yells out, shocked, “Eight thousand?! No monster can stand up to that!”

 

Sailor Venus asks Atticus, “Atticus-senpai, do you think that Jaden will lose?”

 

Atticus tells Sailor Venus, “Mina-chan, if I know anything about Jaden, it is like Chancellor Sheppard said: `Don't count him out until his life-points are out'.”

 

Sailor Uranus says, plainly, “However, the odds don't look good for him.”

 

Jaden takes a deep breath, draws one card from his deck, and says, “Well, here goes something.” Jaden looks at the card that he drew, he gives a wide smile, and he says, with a wide grin, “Sweet!”

 

Bastion asks, curiously, “What did he draw?”

 

Jaden puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “First, I play Elemental Hero Cosmic Moon in attack mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Cosmic Moon (1400/1800) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden puts a card in the spell/trap slots and shouts out, “Then I play my Golden Crystal spell card! This card allows me to send all Elemental Heroes with the word `Cosmic' in their name to the graveyard in order to upgrade them to the next level! So, Cosmic Moon becomes Elemental Hero Star Moon in attack mode!” Cosmic Moon vanishes from the field as she transforms into Elemental Hero Star Moon (2400/2000) in attack mode. Jaden then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “Next, I play my Eternal Tier spell card! This card allows me to send my Star Moon to the grave to upgrade her to her ultimate form! Meet Elemental Hero Eternal Moon in attack mode!” Soon after, Star Moon glows as she transforms into Elemental Hero Eternal Moon (3000/2500) in attack mode. Jaden then says, with a wide smile, “Actually, that's not exactly right. Even through this heroine is strong, she can get even stronger!” Jaden then displays a spell card with a picture of Eternal Sailor Moon with the Silver Crystal glowing in her hands with an image of her as Princess Serenity hovering above her and Jaden calls out, as he puts the card in the spell/trap slots, “Now, I play my Silver Millennium Awakening spell card! I can only play this when Elemental Hero Eternal Moon is on the field! I can now send her to the graveyard to awaken her true form!”

 

Zane asks, a bit perplexed, “True form?”

 

Jaden calls out, as he puts the card from his deck on his duel disk, “That's right! Now, meet Elemental Hero Princess Moon in attack mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Eternal Moon's brooch opens up revealing a hologram of the Silver Crystal, she is bathed in that light as her uniform transforms into a princess dress, and that a Duel Monster that looks similar to Princess Serenity, expect her hair is silvery-white in Princess Serenity's hairstyle, her dress is silver and white instead of white and gold, and she is wearing fingerless silver silk gloves, exposing pink fingernails with golden crescent moons on them along with a holographic `copy' of the Crescent Moon Wand with the Silver Crystal on it.

 

Everyone gasps in shock and Luna exclaims, “That `Duel Monster' looks exactly like Serena as Princess Serenity!” Jaden's newest hero, Elemental Hero Princess Moon, has 4500/4000 stats!

 

Zane states, in a dark tone, “So, what, Jaden? You little princess can't stand up to my Dark Dragon!”

 

Jaden tells Zane, with a wide smile, “Actually, she can! When Princess Moon attacks any Dark attribute monster as well as any Fiend and Zombie type monsters, they are automatically destroyed and I take no battle damage!” Zane winches in surprise, Jaden displays a spell card with a picture showing Eternal Sailor Moon surrounded by Tuxedo Mask and all of her friends in their Sailor Scout forms, and Jaden says, putting the card in the spell/trap slots, “But I've got a better idea! I play my Princess' Call spell card! When Princess Moon is on the field, I can any and all Elemental Heroes with the word `Cosmic' in their name directly to the field! So, I summon Cosmic Mercury, Cosmic Venus, Cosmic Mars, and Cosmic Jupiter to the field!” Soon after, on Princess Moon's left side, Elemental Hero Cosmic Jupiter (1800/1500) and Elemental Hero Cosmic Venus (1500/1500) appear on the field in attack mode and on Princess Moon's right side, Elemental Hero Cosmic Mercury (1400/1900) and Elemental Hero Cosmic Mars (1500/1000) appear on the field in attack mode.

 

Zane calls out, seriously and darkly,, “And what are those pathetic peons going to do?!”

 

Jaden shouts out, pushing a button on his duel disk, “You will see when I play my Trap Booster spell card!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be Trap Booster and Jaden shouts out, “By sacrificing one card from my hand, I can play one trap card from my hand!” Jaden sends his Elemental Hero Bladedge (2600/1800) to the graveyard and puts the final card in his hand into the spell/trap slots, revealing it to be a trap card with picture of the Silver Crystal surrounded by the symbols of Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter with the golden crescent moon sigil on the crystal, and Jaden shouts out, “And now, I play my Cosmic Moon Unity trap card! When Princess Moon is with Cosmic Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter, I can sacrifice them and half of my life-points in order to destroy every single monster, spell, and trap card on your side of the field! And for each card destroyed, you get slammed with one thousand points of damage!”

 

Zane calls out, in a stunned tone, “Wait! I've got three monsters and two cards face-down on the field!”

 

Jaden shouts out, in a serious tone, “That means you take five thousand points of damage and plus, you can't stop this trap card with any monster, spell, or trap card effects and this means that this duel is over! Girls, do your stuff!” Soon after, Jaden's life-points are cut in half, the hologram of his trap card blazes with a bright pink light, causing Sailor Moon's brooch to open, and the Imperium Silver Crystal to send energy into the hologram of itself as Princess Moon holds up the hologram of the Crescent Moon Wand towards Zane's monsters as it glows with a bright pink light while Cosmic Mercury, Cosmic Venus, Cosmic Mars, and Cosmic Jupiter put their hands on the wand as well.

 

Cosmic Mercury calls out, in Sailor Mercury's voice, “Mercury Power!”

 

Cosmic Venus shouts out, in Sailor Venus' voice, “Venus Power!”

 

Cosmic Mars yells out, in Sailor Mars' voice, “Mars Power!”

 

Cosmic Jupiter exclaims, in Sailor Jupiter's voice, “Jupiter Power!”

 

Princess Moon yells out, in Princess Serenity's voice, “Cosmic Moon Power! Unite!” Soon after, energy gathers in front of the hologram of the Silver Crystal as it sends a huge pink energy ball right at Zane's monsters and cards!

 

Queen Beryl calls out, horrified, “No! Not again! This is like when that bratty sister of his beat me!” Just then the pink energy ball slams into Zane's side of the field and explodes into a huge column of pink light that can be seen practically everywhere on the island and even the mainland causing all of our heroes and heroines to cover their eyes as a huge wind covers the field as well. Zane screams out in extreme agony and surprise as his Cyber Dark Dragon, equipped with Five-Headed Dragon, his final Sacred Beast Token, and his two face-down cards are destroyed and his life-points drop by 5000 points, ending this duel immediately.

 

Jaden calls out, through the wind and the light, “THAT'S GAME, ZANE!!!” Soon after, Jaden, weak from the pain he received from shackles and the strain from the duel, falls down to the ground on his back and into unconsciousness.

Zane: 0

Jaden: 350

 

After the light dies down and everyone can take a look, they look to see Queen Beryl and Zane have vanished, leaving behind the three Sacred Beast cards on the ground, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder, and Ravel, Lord of Phantasms.

 

Sailor Saturn asks, perplexed, “Where did Syrus-senpai's older brother and Beryl get to?”

 

Sailor Jupiter yells out, angrily, “That coward witch got away and took Zane with him!”

 

Syrus says, solemnly, “Not again.”

 

Alexis then spots Jaden's fallen form and calls out, fearfully, “Jaden!” Soon after, everyone spots his fallen form and all of our heroes and heroines run or fly over to our fallen Moon Prince while Yugi and his friends, Atem, Joey, Tristan, and Tea, arrive on the scene. Alexis arrives by Jaden's side first, followed by the others, and she gently puts Jaden into her arms, asking him, worriedly, “Jaden, are you okay?”

 

Jaden gives a slight moan, he slowly opens his eyes, and he says, with a weak version of his typical smile, “Hey `Lex, what's up?”

 

Soon after, Atem and the others come down the crater and Atem asks, “What happened here?” Soon after, Alexis, Atticus, Bastion, Syrus, Blair, Tyranno, and the Zodiac Sailor Scouts explain about what happened.

 

Yugi says, in a plain tone, “I heard about these things. They are used to replicate what happened during Atem's and my battle with Marik's dark side in Battle City from what I heard.”

 

Joey says, disgusted, “Now, that's just plain sick! There is no honor in that type of duel!”

 

Tea nods her head and says, “No joke, Joey! What kind of sicko would do such a thing?”

 

Bastion says, plainly, “One that was once the greatest student that this school ever had and Syrus' older brother.”

 

Sailor Aquarius says, in a plain and logical tone, “Who or what he is now? I don't know.”

 

While Alexis and the others remove the shackle from Jaden's neck and upper arms, Tuxedo Mask goes over the three Sacred Beast cards, picks them up, and says, plainly, “To think that three cards can cause so much trouble.” Just then the platform that contained the three Sacred Beast cards rise up in the center of the crater and Tuxedo Mask, without a single thought, puts the cards back on the platform, causing them to vanish as they are sealed away, again, and the platform return to the earth. Soon after, the seven Spirit Gate keys come out of the pillars as they return to the earth from when they came and when Jaden is on his feet, the Spirit Gate keys float into his hands.

 

Jaden says, plainly, “I'm glad that's over. But there is no telling if or when this could happen all over again.”

 

Tuxedo Mask says, “Jaden's right. Queen Beryl is still around and she will come after the cards, again.”

 

Syrus asks, curiously, “What about Zane?”

 

Sailor Aries tells Syrus, “I hate to tell you this, Syi: Beryl will most likely brainwash him to her side or he will ally himself willing with him in this state.”

 

Sailor Moon tells Syrus, “Don't worry, Syrus. We will get your brother back from Beryl . . . somehow.”

 

Sailor Neptune asks, curiously, “But can we save him from his own darkness and evil within him?”

 

Sailor Pluto says, plainly, “That's a story that only time can tell and even I cannot say.”

 

Atticus then tells Jaden, with a smile, “Anyway, Jaden, you did an awesome job out there! You finally beat Zane!”

 

Jaden tells Atticus, with a weak smile, “Yeah, I really did beat him this time. However, I wish I could have beat him and returned him back to his old self, but I'm not going to give up hope. Like sis, I believe there is still good in Zane and I know that we just need to bring it out.”

 

Alexis nods her head in agreement with her boyfriend and tells him, “That's right, Jaden. We'll find a way.”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, with a smile, “Anyway, great job out there Sarge!”

 

Sailor Libra nods her head and states, “Yeah, Jaden, you were awesome!” As the others began to praise and compliment on the hard duel that Jaden won, Bastion is silent and in deep thought.

 

Bastion thinks, solemnly, “Even through I showed my power and proved that I can face off against even the Society of Light, Jaden is developing into a better and better duelist all the time! With his new and improved decks and his awakening as the Moon Prince, his abilities continue to get better and better! On the meanwhile, while I am doing well in this tournament, I am nowhere near the skill and abilities of Jaden. He is becoming a top duelist while I'm lagging far behind. Even through Jaden is my friend . . . I can't help to feel jealous of his rapidly developing abilities while mine continue to develop at a slow rate. While I use mathematics and science to calculate my dueling strategies and Jaden uses only luck and faith with some strategy making, his abilities are developing much more faster than mine! In a duel between him and me, Jaden would win hands down! Is this my path for my life? While Jaden becomes a great duelist, am I doomed to stay in his shadow forever?” Bastion turns his right hand into a fist as he winches at the final thought, but not everyone does notice this, expect for one person.

 

Ami looks at Bastion, sees his expression, and thinks in her mind, “Is Bastion-senpai all right? I never have seen him like this.”

 

(Back in Queen Beryl's base; Somewhere on Academy Island)

 

Sometime later, we find Queen Beryl within her throne room in her base on Academy Island and she roars out in pure anger about what happened causing the youma that are inside of the room to become afraid of her.

 

Queen Beryl yells out, in extreme anger, “Damn that brat! That rotten Moon Prince is as bad as his sister! Zane had him! And by luck of the draw, he got what he needed to beat his ultimate monster!”

 

Soon after, Jadeite appears in front of Queen Beryl and tells her, in an emotionless tone, “Good news, my queen. The transfusion of the negative energy into Zane's body is going along smoothly with no complications.”

 

Queen Beryl says, plainly, “That's some good news. When it is done, Zane Truesdale will become one of my newest generals and loyal only to me. With the hatred and anger in his heart and soul, it is easily to manipulate him for our purposes.”

 

Jadeite tells Queen Beryl, in a cold and emotionless tone, “Actually, I also bid some news. There is one person that's part of that Moon Prince's friends that disillusioned with his `position' in the Academy. He is somewhat jealous of the Moon Prince with his dueling abilities growing stronger while he is barely growing at all.”

 

Queen Beryl's eyebrow widens in interest and she asks, “Interesting. Who is the name of this person?”

 

Jadeite replies, in an emotionless tone, “His name is Bastion Misawa, the top ranked duelists in the Ra Yellow dorm, and one of Prince Judai's friends. He is an intelligential duelist with great potential, but with Prince Judai's ever growing power and skills overshadowing his, he doubts himself and plus, deep down, he is growing somewhat jealous of Prince Judai overshadowing him.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Jadeite, with an evil smirk, “Interesting, Jadeite. That's good work. He might be able to turn one of his own friends against him. Keep an eye on Bastion Misawa. This might prove very useful.”

 

Jadeite says, with an emotionless tone, “Yes, my queen.”

 

Queen Beryl says, with a wide evil grin, “You will pay for this, Prince Judai. You and your sister have got in my way for the last time!”

 

Next time in Chapter 12: Ami's Duel of Determination: After the duels between Aster and his step-father, Serena and Prince Ojin, and Jaden and Hell Kaiser Zane, all of our heroes and heroines reunite and Sailor Mars explains what happened on The D's boat. By this time, the Society of Light has weakened to barely a `shadow' of its former self, but Sartorius AKA the Light of Destruction is far from finished. The evil alien form uses his Tarot deck to find a way to beat our three Chosen Duelists and they tell him of a `chink' in the `armor' of the Moon Kingdom Sailor Scout with a Sailor Scout team member that is represented by The High Priestess Tarot card. While Sartorius/Light of Destruction plots his `comeback', Serena and Darien along with Alexis and Jaden take a `time out' from all of the dueling and save the world `business' to relax on the beach for a while. On the meanwhile, during this time, a stronger `bond' is established between Lita and Tyranno, Aster and Rei, and most of all, Mina and Atticus, who learn about a `bond' between the two of them during the Silver Millennium. But also during this time, it seems like something happened between Chazz Princeton and our Sun Kingdom/Zodiac Sailor Scout of Fire, Jasmine Kurada, which really `heat things up'! However, during this same time, Bastion is becoming more and more disillusion with him seeming getting left behind Jaden, Serena, Alexis, and the others are getting more and more stronger while he is getting left behind. Queen Beryl sees this and using Zane, who has been transformed into one of her newest generals, as bait, lures Bastion into a trap, and brainwashes him into one of her newest generals. When she unleashes Bastion against our heroes and heroines, they don't recognize him at first since he is radically different, but soon enough, it is Ami that discovers the shocking truth about Bastion. The brainwashed Bastion challenges Jaden to a duel, but Ami takes his place instead. With his new and improved deck, Bastion pushes Ami to the limits of her strength and endurance, especially since with every single life-point lost, the duelists get drained of energy. However, the power of her heart and soul somehow reaches deep inside of Bastion and our heroes and heroines find out a shocking fact about Ami and Bastion that leads back to the Silver Millennium! What could this `connected' be between Bastion and our Sailor Scout of Ice and Wisdom?! And can this `connection' free Bastion from the evil grip of the evil Negaverse queen?! Well, you are going to have to find out on the next Destiny Stars and pray that things work out!

 

Well, this is it! The newest chapter in my story! Anyway, I'm sorry to say that this story will only have fifteen to sixteen chapters, but I can say that there is going to be a sequel after this story is done! I'm not sure if the sequel is going to be based on anything from Season Three of Yu-Gi-Oh GX, which is starting to air on Toonami of Cartoon Network, but we will have to see.
