Yugi- Dead Or Alive Volleyball Player?!

Darien: Yeah, that is right.

DJ: (Smiles) Thanks, guys. Now, things will really intense up from here! Next lady for Yugi to get involved with… HELENA!!!

Darien: But for now, this finishes off with Christie!

Chapter 10

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly for the group. In the mid-afternoon, Tina and Helena teamed up to go against Kasumi and Lei-Fang. Yugi was once again referee, and boy was it a close game! Lei-Fang and Kasumi won, 10-9. The original set score was supposed to be only seven, but the rules of this game stated that a "Deuce" was to be declared if the game was very close. For example, if it was six-to-six, the set score was to be eight. The final set score was ten, since it was as high as one could go. The two victors won a total of 32,000 yen, which was pretty good. Yugi received about 14,000 yen, and he thanked them for it. He congratulated the women, both winner and loser, for a very excellent game. For the rest of the day, they did what they pleased. Yugi went back to the Poolside with Kasumi and Christie, Ayane and Helena went into the Jungle to relax among the fauna and flora, and the rest went to lounge about on Bass Island. Yugi had told them about the tide coming in, and covering up the road that led back to the island. "Make sure to get back before sundown!", he informed them. They said they would, and then headed out. Now, Yugi was relaxing by the pool. He was watching Kasumi swimming around, and Christie looking out to the sea. 'She already looks more at peace with herself. I already know she has a good future, but I still wish her the best of luck with it. I hope to help her out with it, too.', he thought as he gazed at the white-haired beauty. Soon, he saw that it was sunset and was now concerned about the girls on Bass Island and in the Jungle. 'They've been gone for a while. I better go out and make sure that they're okay.', he said to himself with a concerned look. He remembered that Black Scorpion, and was worried that there were more. He got up from his deck chair, and was about to go out to look when he saw Hitomi and the rest coming up the small stairs.

"Hey, Yugi!", Lei-Fang chirped. Tina saw the relived look on his face, and a small smirk formed on her lips. "Hey, Yugi.", she called out. Yugi looked at her and inquired, "Yes?". She then asked coyly, "Tell me, where you about to go out and look for us because it was getting late?". He blushed red, and a sheepish grin was now plastered on his face. He lifted his right hand up and scratched the back of his head nervously. "Yeah, I was going to.", he answered them. They all smiled and Lisa commented, "Aww. How sweet of you to worry about us like that, Yugi-san.". Yugi blushed a bit more, his smile never waning. Christie looked up and around from her view, and a small, genuine smile graced her lips. "Heh, what a sweet and considerate kid. If I was a few years younger, I would ask him out.", she quietly told herself. Since it was getting late, Yugi suggested that they change, eat at the lounge, and then relax. "Sounds like a good plan, Yugi.", Kasumi said. Ayane nodded and commented, "For once, I agree with my sister.". Everyone soon agreed that it was a worthwhile plan. "Okay. I'll meet you all downstairs in about 30 minutes, give or take.", he said. Nodding their heads, they started to pick up their stuff and head back to the hotel. Christie was bringing up the rear, a cunning, very naughty plan coming into mind. "Mmmm. I know I can't get together with Yugi, but maybe I can show him on how much I appreciate his kind and honest words in the jungle. A little… eye candy he'll never soon forget.", she told herself with an evil chuckle and a very deviant gleam in her eyes.

It was about 6:30 p.m. when Yugi emerged from his room. He was dried off, his hair combed neatly (although it still stayed spiky), and also wearing a very good suit. "I hope this doesn't show off too much. I just want to look my best, that's all.", he told himself. He checked his watch, and he saw that he had about ten minutes left to go downstairs. He took the elevator down, humming along to the funky tune as he descended down to the lobby. When it opened, he went to sit in the lobby, where elegant and fine handcrafted chairs awaited him. He checked his watch again, and saw that five minutes were left. "You know, this vacation is starting to turn out alright.", he said to himself. Just then, a flash of blue caught his eye. He looked up and saw Kasumi. She was wearing a lovely blue dress, which accented her pretty well. Yugi was entranced by her beauty, as her was entranced by his handsome and gentle features. "Wow, Kasumi. You look great.", Yugi whispered as he slightly blushed. Kasumi smiled sweetly and replied, "Thank you, Yugi. You look great too, and handsome.". Kasumi was not alone. Behind her was Ayane, in a dark purple dress as well. "What about me, Yugi?", she asked coyly. Yugi grinned nervously and replied, "You look great too, Ayane. Very beautiful.". She smiled at the response. The other soon arrived in as well, dressed in their best. "So, you girls ready to eat?", Yugi asked as he got up and went to them. Very soon, the little gentleman escorted eight lovely women towards the dining room in the lounge.

Two hours later, the group left the lounge and started back upstairs. The food had been very good, first-class all the way. Yugi had paid for it all, which nearly depleted his earned money he just received. "Oh well. It was worth it, after the way the ladies here have been so kind to me.", he told himself. Now, they were going back to their rooms to do whatever they pleased. Yugi opened his door to his room and was about to enter, when Christie called out to him. "Yugi?", she called out. He looked at her and saw a very mysterious smile on her face. He looked puzzled as he replied, "Yes?". She requested, "Can you come inside my room in twenty minutes? I want to talk with you.". He answered, "Okay. Just let me get ready.". She nodded, then gave Yugi a wink and disappeared into her room. As soon as he heard the door click to signify that it was closed, Yugi's expression changed to that of a puzzled one. 'I wonder why she wants me to come into her room?', he thought. He mulled over this as he went inside, changed into some more comfortable clothes (a green t-shirt with black jean shorts), and soon went back out to Christie's room. He knocked, not wanting to be rude in barging in. "Come in, Yugi.", Christie's soft voice called out. Yugi slowly turned the doorknob, and saw that the room was pitch black. Only the T.V in the living room remained on, a movie ready to get underway. "Christie?", Yugi asked as his eyes tried to find the girl. The bathroom door opened, and what Yugi saw, he won't soon forget!

Christie was in a very revealing black bra and panties, courtesy of Victoria's Secret! In suited her quite nicely, her ample-sized chest bobbing up-and-down frequently as she slowly walked seductively towards her prey. A predatory smile graced her lips, which could send shivers down any man's spine. Yugi's face resembled that of a fresh apple, steam expelling from him when he pulled at his collar. It seemed that she had just finished taking a shower, a damp towel slung across her left shoulder. The sight of the wet, steaming beauty before him was nearly too much to handle! She went over and closed the door, enshrouding the two in near darkness. Yugi gulped, seeing that the glint in her eyes slightly growing more mischievous and her smile widening as well. "Yugi, I would like to repay your kind and honest words and actions that you told me in the Jungle.", she told in a seductive, low purr. Yugi was now beet red, and Christie was enjoying that she was making him nervous. "Do not worry, young one. I have no desire to claim you. I only wish to give you some special eye candy, as a token of my gratitude.", she told him in an assuring voice. She sat down on the couch, and ushered for him to join her. He would have done so, had not another surprise entered the scene. A large black panther, half the size of Yugi, entered the room. It walked with fluid grace and stealth, its paws not making a single sound. The only sound coming from it was a low growl. Yugi froze, very much scared at the moment. Christie saw this, and smirked. "Not to worry, Yugi. It's just my pet. He won't harm you.", she told the scared young man. The panther stalked towards Christie, and sat down like a good cat. Yugi sweatdropped nervously, this scenario now getting way too hot! He slowly went over and sat down beside the British beauty. "Are you up to watching a movie with me?", she asked him coyly. He nodded, his face so red it was unbelievable! She smiled and turned on the movie, which turned out to be The Ring.

The movie lasted for about two or three hours, Yugi never seeing the flick before and some of the parts terrifying him. He squeezed Christie's hand whenever a very scary part came up. She was very amused by this, but not in a bad way. 'Most guys try to act tough and not show to be scared. But, Yugi is and he's not afraid to show it. Its honesty, and I admire that.', she thought. The panther also seemed to sense that Yugi was not an enemy. It actually went over and rubbed its head against his leg. Yugi was able to pet it, although he remained cautious. The large cat purred, which slightly calmed him down. Soon, the movie was over. Christie turned the lights back on, Yugi's eyes not leaving her. I mean, how could he when all she was dressed up in only sleep wear?! Christie turned and looked at the blushing young man. She smiled and said, "Thanks once again, Yugi. You're the first that hadn't tried to make a pass at me or say any crude or lewd comments from seeing me like this.". Yugi smiled slightly and replied that it was no problem. She then asked, "Yugi, are you sure that I can change?". He looked at her in puzzlement and inquired, "What do you mean?". She then went on to say, "Its just that… if I went rogue, the agency would send assassins out to kill me for my betrayal. I just can't visualize myself as someone who can change, when others are after me.". Now, he knew on where she was getting at. She explained that being an assassin kept her safe from others, and if she tried to change, they would be after her until she gave up and went back to them. He got up from the couch and put a gentle, yet firm hand on her shoulders. She looked at him, tears threating to come forth.

He stated, "Yes, I know you can change. It may become hard, but it can be done. I have faith in you.". Christie was very much moved by his words. "Also, if anyone tries to give you problems, let me know. Maybe I can help.", he added. She choked back a laugh and stated, "You think you can help me against assassins?!". Yugi's face turned to one of determination and he declared, "Maybe, maybe not. But, I will do what I can to help my friends. And I already consider you to be one of them.". This got the woman very much. She didn't know what to say, so she decided to let her actions talk. She bent down slightly and gave the young hero a kiss on the cheek. It lingered for some time, and when she pulled away slowly, Yugi was blushing even more. "Thank you, Yugi. I really needed that.", she told him. He nodded his head, then absentmindedly thank her for both the "present" and also the movie. I mean, he was in too much of a daze to think clearly enough. Christie chuckled, and replied that it was her pleasure. Yugi slowly left the room, like if he was in a trance. When Christie went over and locked the door, she was giggling. Yes, the "cold-blooded assassin" was actually giggling like a schoolgirl! "Wow! That was something.", she mused to herself. Her pet went over and nuzzled her leg. She bent down slightly and petted its head. "Well, there is one thing I'm sure of now. It's that if I was about 20 or 19 years old right now, I would really consider having Yugi as my boyfriend.", she told her feline friend.

Back in Yugi's room, the boy was in one heck of a daze! He barely remembered entering his room, getting dressed for bed, and also slipping into the covers. "Wow. That was… some time.", he said to himself. He soon tried to go back to sleep, but it was hard considering what he just went through. But… hehehe. He wasn't the only one who had seen the entire event.

~In Zack's suite~

Zack was livid! He had seen the entire event via video camera in Christie's room, and was now greener with envy. "Wha-?! How?! What is going on here?!", he exclaimed while stomping around his bedroom. It was bad enough, to him at least, that Yugi was getting friendly (not in type of way!) with the ladies, but now Christie pulling a move like that! Zack was now more determined then ever to see that Yugi would either get off the island gravely injured… or worse. He picked up his phone and started to make some calls. "Hehehe. This time, little man, you won't be so lucky.", he chuckled evilly. He knew it would take quite some time for his grand plan to come to fruitition, but he was going to pull out all of the stops! "Until everyone is here, I might as well lay some more traps for the boy!", he said to himself evilly. He then heard Niki call out from the living room. "Zack! Come on over with me! Our movie is playing!", she called out in a seductive voice. He grinned, pressed back his hair, and walked out of his bedroom to cuddle up with his girlfriend on the couch.

~In Seto's Mansion~

Seto and Mokuba had seen the event too. However, Seto sent Mokuba straight to bed when a certain part came into view. He was now sitting in his office, laughing his head off as he witnessed Yugi's struggle to fall asleep. "Hahahahaha!! Boy Yugi, you got all the luck in the universe now! Hahahahaha!!", he laughed out loud. It was true; Yugi was now the luckiest man on the face of this Earth! Heck, even he would do anything to be in Yugi's place now. Unfortunately, he was not the only one to witness this. Laga, Peorth, and even Cas had seen the entire event as well. Cas was now purple in the face with anger, her fists tighten up to a very painful state. "THAT LITTLE… AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!", she screamed through gritted teeth before stomping out. Seto just had to laugh at this. He had known about Cas's crush on Yugi for some time. He had even visited her chambers once, and saw that she had a framed picture of Yugi propped up on her dresser right near her bed. It was a picture from one of the tournaments; Yugi having the trademark smile on his face and his violet-eyes open full and giving off the V- Victory sign. He had even seen scattered love poems all over the dresser, the letters declaring either her profound love for the young man or going on how sweet and caring he was. "Man, she's got it bad.", he said to himself. Cas's anger towards the scenario barely sent her off the deep end, an urge to throttle Christie bubbling up inside her. She was not alone.

Laga was seething, exactly the same way as Cas. She was so livid and angry, that it wasn't even funny. "THAT LITTLE TRAMP!!!", she screamed out loud. Peorth was also not too found of Christie's actions towards the one she cared about. "Does that woman even have morals?!", she exclaimed. Seto was once again amused by this, and activated another program to calm the women's nerves and anger. A virtual Christie appeared before them, programmed with every known aspect of the original. He had hacked into the DOA computer system, and downloaded every single knowledgeable date on all of the DOA ladies. V. Christie had all of the originals' fighting style, techniques, and memory. She smirked at the two ladies and stated coyly, "Hmm. Well, well. What's the matter, ladies? You're mad because you can never please Yugi like that, the way I can?". Seto had programmed her to annoy and anger the two ladies, wanting them to fully vent out their anger. He smirked widely, now going to enjoy a little virtual catfight. Laga growled loudly, going into a full-offensive fighting stance. "You little tart!! I'll show you how mad I am!!", she growled out. Peorth also took on a fighting stance, one similar to Helena's style. "At least we retain our dignity and integrity if we had the chance to please Yugi! Not like what you just did!!", she exclaimed. V. Christie got into her own fighting stance, her hands now poised as striking snakes. "Then, show me on what you would do if I actually put a move on the cutie!", she declared. She got her wish as the two ladies rushed in to attack!

While Seto was watching the catfight, his mind was on something else. 'I have a feeling that Zack had seen this too, and is preparing to set up something big.', he thought. Also, his other problem concerned Yami and the rest. 'If I know Yami, he'll figure out a way to get to the island. Shadow magic or not, he'll think of something.', he said to himself. One thing about Yami was that he was very stubborn, and once he set his mind on something, nothing or no one could stop him. "It's a good thing that I have Cas, Laga, and Peorth as allies. Because I have a very strong feeling that I'm going to need all of their help when things are going to get worse.", he said to himself quietly. It was a gut feeling that things were going to go from hot to supernova hot! He slowly went out of his office and towards his room, very much tired and in need of rest. "Well, at least I'll have pleasant dreams tonight.", he said with a slight chuckle. And we all know what he means, do we? Hehehe…

(Author's Notes: I hope you like this one! In the next chapter, Yugi and Helena are going to be together. And also, Yugi will surprise her by actually conversing with her in French!

Yugi: (Shocked) I will?!

Darien: (Grins) Yep. In the story, you passed all of your high schools classes with flying colors, remember? In this one, you also took and passed advanced Foreign Language. You are now fluent in American, Japanese, Ancient Egyptian, and French languages!

Yugi: Wow!!
