Across The Stars

Chapter 4: Frat parties...

 

~Kim's P.o.V.~

I spun around in the computer chair as InuYasha bounded into the dorm room. "What do you want?" I asked bitterly, spinning back around. "Where's Max?" he asked breathlessly. I shrugged,"Fucking you?" I suggested, turning back around to catch his glare. I returned his leer. "Shut up Kim..." he muttered viciously. "Or what?" I said, standing up. "Or one day, reality will hit you so hard in the face because you're such a bitch," he replied smoothly. I glared, standing face to face with him, raising my fist, ready to punch. He caught my hand and twisted it lightly,"Back down..." he said through gritted teeth,"...and tell me where she is..." I freed myself from his grasp,"I don't know," I replied,"Gods, can't you just accept that after she's done with the fucking part, she'll drop you again? You're a fucking toy, literally, dog-boy, now get out of my dorm." He glared and spun around on his heel, walking out the door, slamming it so hard a mirror fell off the wall. I grabbed my jacket a bit later and walked out the door, fuming.

~one hour later...~

I hadn't planned on it, but here I was in the middle of a frat party. Drinking vodka and giggling, twirling around. I stumbled around a bit, draining my cup as I wandered the frat house, looking for more. I somehow managed to get upstairs without really meaning to and without falling down the steps and wandered past a bedroom. An odd conversation met my ears as I leaned against the wall, holding my head as I slid down to the ground. I felt dizzy, seeing as I'd probably drunk a whole bottle of vodka.

"Well what the hell do we do with her now?" one guy in the bedroom said.

"We listen to him and do as he says...we can't bring her downstairs now," the other guy replied timidly.

"I'm sick of listening to him, how does he control us?!" the first guy said.

Then a horrible laugh started and something crashed, shattering against the ground. The light in the room went out and someone screamed...a girl...

The hallway was getting dark now too... and I heard a voice... "Kim...Kim...Kim...wake up...wake up..." but I blanked out.

~Kaiba's P.o.V.~

~a half hour earlier...~

I drove the car along, with Meaghan crammed in the front seat with Sarah. Will and Jack were in the back. I was impatient now. We'd driven around in circles...until FINALLY,"THERE! TURN THERE!" Meaghan screamed in my ear. "FUCK, DO YOU HAVE TO DO THAT?!" I screamed back. "JUST FUCKING TURN!" Jack screamed. "STOP FUCKING SWEARING!" Sarah yelled. "Sarah..." Will started. "Don't start!" she replied. I took a quick turn and parked a bit away from the campus dorms. Meaghan's eyes scanned the top story,"The lights are out...where could they be..." she muttered. I sighed, leaning against the steering wheel,"Asleep, perhaps?" I asked bitterly. She scoffed,"Pfft...no, Max's first day at college...no...probably at a frat party..." she said. "There was a party down the road a bit," Sarah said. "Then that's where we go," I said, peeling out down the road.

We parked abruptly in front of the frat house and jumped out. Meg ran off somewhere, Jack close behind her, yelling something about the kiss not being real. Sarah sat down on the curb, where Will joined her. I walked into the house, brushing off two drunk frat boys at the door.

The party inside was full blast. Music blared, drinks got spilled and people were making out in every corner. I brushed my finger against my Kaiba Corp badge in my pocket, hesitantly. Then I decided when I heard a scream upstairs, that I would just take care of Kim.

I ran upstairs, seeing a girl passed out in the hall. "Kim...Kim...Kim..." I whispered urgently into her ear, brushing her hair away from her face. She was choking on her vomit. I bent her over, pulling her up and walking her to the bathroom where she proceded to puke in the toilet. I sighed, looking down the hall, trying to figure out who'd screamed. She coughed, halfway regaining her conciousness. "You alright?" I asked, still looking down the hall. She groaned lightly,"Y-yea...Seto...what the fuck are you doing here?" she asked, coughing, throwing up again. "Apparently saving your ass," I replied grimly,"Who screamed?" She paused,"I...I don't know...it was in the bedroom I was in front of..." she said softly. "Stay here, I'm going to look," I said, stepping into the hall. She was behind me in two quick steps.

"I said stay," I said softly. "I don't care..." she whispered back as we stood next to the bedroom door. It was quiet now...

Then a shrill scream came from downstairs and a harsh, bitter laugh that made the hairs on the back of my neck rise. We bounded downstairs and I stopped short on the steps, looking in front of me. Kim ran into me and screamed at what she saw.

Maxine was hanging on the door by an electrical wire around her neck. Her feet were kicking, struggling to keep from sliding down. She was stripped of her clothing, besides her under garments and her bare feet were being shredded my splinters from the door. Standing in front of her was a figure in a dark cloack and long black hair. He was splashing blood across her body as she screamed in pain as if it were burning her...and it was. Red boils erupted across her arms and legs and stomach, her face blistering as if fire were burning in front of her. Lying at the feet of the man were two boys, probably from the fraternity. They were dead, their eyes staring at me and Kim. Around us, the house had gone crazy. People were screaming and running around, as if trapped. Then my eyes snapped to the other doors and windows. They were all snapping shut one after another.

Kim shook behind me, clinging to my arm as the man turned around, laughing. His eyes glowed red and blood dripped down his face. He was crying crimson tears. His laugh made my skin crawl. The door began to shake as shouts from the outside drifted to my ears,"KAIBA! KAIBA OPEN THE DOOR!" Meg screamed. "Jack quick, knock it down!" Sarah yelled. I heard two shoulders hit the front door. Will and Jack. I struggled to find my voice as the man walked towards us. But all I saw were those bleeding eyes and all I heard was that cruel laugh, save Kim's voice. "N-N-Naraku..." she whispered. I got clubbed across the head and fell to the ground, stars in my eyes. I blanked out, hearing Kim scream and the door falling down....then darkness.

some crazy shit! ...the frat is a cult? With Naraku?
