Summary: Jessica has left everyone and Marik has found the rod and taken control over his Partner/Sweetheart Jessica. Everyone else rides up to Nightshade and she says “We're too late.” Now that Marik has the Millennium Rod, he plans to make everyone weak, by sending out some demons from the Shadow Realm and some Duel Monsters after them to make them weak for the Epic Battle ahead.

 

 

 

 

Part 2 The Quest Continues

 

 

 

Everyone was shocked that Jessica had not only betrayed them, but she was now under the control of Marik by the Millennium Rod. Nightshade feels bad that she didn't keep a closer eye on Jessica and wished that none of this had happened.

 

Nightshade was starting to shed some tears and said: I wish that none of this had happened, and I feel as if I had failed her, not keeping a closer eye on her.

 

Yami: It is not your fault what is happening to Jessica now. (He said placing his hand on her shoulder).

 

Nightshade smirked and said: You know, it's funny how I can keep an eye on all of you and try to finish this horrible disaster that awaits us, but I can't keep an eye on a single teenage girl with the urge to do this on her own, thinking that she doesn't need no one's help.

 

 

Not far away was an oasis with some trees and a lake with fresh water.

 

Nightshade saw the oasis, and decided to walk over there with her Stallion.

 

She sat down by the lake with a tree shading over her, while Swftwind was accompanied by Starwind and Seto.

 

Seto: Nightshade….it is not your fault that Jessica is now under Marik's control. (He said placing his arm around her, trying to comfort her.)

 

Nightshade: I wish none of this had happened, I want to go back home to England, to the way things were, only without so much destruction and fighting here in the world. (She said as she began to shed a few tears).

 

Back over at the others, the other ten guardians were getting real worried about Nightshade, and how she taking this quest.

 

Flare: Poor Nightshade, this is so hard on her, it isn't fair.

 

Tatsuki: Yah, and it's not just her as a guardian, it's also being the leader of the Twelve Guardians

 

Hikari: make that eleven. Now that Jessica is gone from us, we don't stand a chance.

 

Tatsuki: No, it's still The Twelve Guardians, and we will rescue and free her mind from Marik's mind control, we just need Nightshade to get back on her feet before she looses hope.

 

Back over at Nightshade and Seto

 

Seto: We all wish the same thing Nightshade. All of us are wishing that none of this had ever happened in the past, but it did…..and it is going to happen again.

 

Nightshade: I know it is, and that's one thing that worries me, and getting Jessica back from Marik's mind control. (She said still shedding a few tears.)

 

Seto cleared off some of the tears on Nightshade's face and pulled her in to hug her…. Hoping to calm her down some, not to mention she was shaking a bit.

 

Seto: It's ok Nightshade, we will all get through this, and I promise you.

 

Just then, Nightshade had another vision, and it was showing her getting captured, having all of her powers taken from her, and not being able to wake up. What she doesn't see is that there is a way to bring her powers back, an it deals with Seto, and the rest of the gang, and maybe even Jessica as well (If she gets back to normal that is).

 

Seto: Nightshade! Nightshade wake up!

 

Seto pulls out the Moonflower cure and gives her the second dose, and she is fine.

 

Seto: One more left, and if she ever happens to drink another dose of this from anyone, she will loose her powers and die, and I can't let that happen to her.

 

Hikari: Seto! Is she okay?

 

Seto nods and says: Yes, she's going to be fine, but we can't risk loosing her.

 

Seto helps Nightshade up and they continue on their horses to the temple where Jessica and Marik are now at.

 

Marik is looking through some sort of orb that allows him to keep an eye on things, namely the group. Marik decides to launch a small attack on the group, and they are in for a real surprise.

 

As they continue on horseback, Nightshade stops right in front of everyone.

 

Tamra: What is it Nightshade?!!

 

Nightshade got a closer look at what was coming towards them, and it looked like a bunch of Duel Monsters

 

Nightshade: Everyone we're under attack, get ready!!! A bunch of Duel Monsters are charging towards us.

 

Everyone gets off their horses and Swiftwind leads them all to a safe place for now, while everyone gets ready to kick some ass.

 

Hikari: Incoming!!! (She shouted out loud and started using her daggers like crazy.)

 

Everyone got out their weapons and began attacking the mob. Nightshade got out her bow and arrow and began firing silver and gold tipped arrows right at the Duel Monsters.

 

 

Flare was using her life draining energy on every monster she touched, and also summoning shadows to help her and the rest of the gang out.

 

About 90 kills later, they see a very huge dragon with five heads (Remember the Mythic Dragon? This is him).

 

 

Jen: I've never seen a dragon with five heads before, this is going to be interesting!

 

Kaomi: Not sure if I have, but he looks mean enough, and hungry. Hope he hasn't eaten yet.

 

The Five Headed Dragon launched an attack and everyone jumped out of the way, with a few bruises from taking hits from the monsters.

 

Nightshade: Brace yourselves! Here he goes again!

 

The dragon then swoops down and tries to catch one of the scouts, but misses. Seto fires some of his arrows at the dragon, but it barely did any damage. Flare then flies up to the back of the dragon, while he is trying to kill her, manages to use some hidden blades in her hands, and chop off his wings, causing him to fall and bleed internally.

 

 

Flare flies back down and says: That was fun, and I was just getting warmed up.

 

Their horses come out of a hiding place that Swiftwind led them to. Everyone got on their horses and started off on the journey again.

 

Back at the Temple, Marik was not happy that his monsters were destroyed, even his Five Headed Dragon.

 

Marik turned his eyes on Jessica, and told her to send out his Silver Fangs and his Horned Imps. She did just as he commanded her to do. Not even a hint of as to who she really was… existed in her mind.

 

Meanwhile, the gang was getting really hot, till Jen again, summoned a cool breeze again so they won't feel to hot. It was getting close to nightfall again, so everyone found a place where there was some food and water, so they could relax, but they had a funny feeling that they were in for a bigger surprise….later that night.

 

 

As everyone was sleeping, the horses started to rear up and neighed loud enough for everyone to hear. Silver Fangs and Horned Imps were attacking them, and doing all that they can to kill them (None of the horses are seriously injured in this fight, just some bites and cuts, but nothing they can't handle).

 

Mako: Not again, don't these guys ever stop?

 

Nightshade: Marik won't stop till we are entirely to weak to fight, so we have to stay strong if we are all going to fight in the end.

 

 

Again, everyone was fighting with everything they got, to take down the Silver Fangs and Horned Imps. They of course win in the end and those with healing powers, use their magic to heal everyone and the horses and pets, but the next battle, two people get captured, one is Nightshade *Marik wants her dead so the guardians can't use their ultimate power to stop the Winged Dragon's attack like they all did long ago,) and someone else gets captured, but who?
