Summary: Last time, our Leader Nightshade had her second vision not long after Jessica had ran off and betrayed everyone, and a second dose of the Moonflower Cure was given to her and Kisara is now with the group again. The group was attacked by a bunch of random Duel Monsters last time and the Mythic Dragon, and the second surprise attack

were a bunch of Silver Fangs and Horned Imps. Now that those two battles are done the group is starting to get real weak from these two battles, and all the ones they fought in the past. Two people are captured in this chapter, one of them is Nightshade, and the other is Hikari.

 

 

 

After the long two battles, everyone had to sit down and rest, for they were getting very weak, and those with healing powers, is not working for anyone. Nightshade is getting weaker, Marik has the Millennium Rod, Jessica is under his control, and the fate of the world depends on the twelve Guardian's success and power.

 

 

The next day they set out again on their horses, hoping to get to the temple in time and at least try and save Jessica and MAYBE Marik, but that's one thing Jessica will have to do.

 

 

Serena: Can we take a break yet? I'm tired and hot

 

Mina: We just barely started on the horses again and got done from a break, why do you want another one now?

 

Serena: Because I want one

 

Lita pulls next to Serena and whispers: Listen Serena, enough with the whining. We are all in danger and we have to help protect not only the guardians, but Nightshade as well and to help them save the world. So please stop your bitching already and grow up.

 

Serena decided FINALLY to keep her mouth shut and not complain anymore *I don't see how she became Queen of Crystal Tokyo from all that whining she has done in the past, but she did do a lot of fighting so I guess that's what won her the crown ;P lol I know the story, I'm just kidding*

 

 

Jen: I didn't think this journey would take days, I don't see how Jessica could have gotten to the temple without stopping.

 

Tatsuki: Heh, lots of hard riding on her horse. Poor thing is probably tired as can be right now.

 

 

Back at the temple, Marik had decided to send out his Winged Dragon of Ra after Nightshade, but also manages to catch Hikari.

 

 

Marik tells his Winged Dragon about his little scheme and tells him who to grab, but the dragon ends up grabbing Hikari along the way too.

 

 

As the group stops for a rest and let their horses get some food and water in their system, everyone sits under some blankets *they decided to make tents this time and summon some food and water for the horses and themselves*.

 

As they were resting, a big gust of wind comes up, dark clouds begin to form, and from out of no where, The Winged Dragon of Ra is there flying right towards them. As they were grabbing their weapons, the guys and girls heard two loud screams. (When The Winged Dragon was aiming for to grab Nightshade, he also grabbed Hikari, who was protecting her, but the dragons claws managed to grab her too.)

 

Seto: NIGHTSHADE!!!! NO!!!!! (He said falling to his knees)

 

Mako: HIKARI!!! NO!!!! (And he too fell to his knees).

 

Everyone was screaming out their names, falling to their knees and crying….. even the horses and pets were making their sounds of sadness at the disappearance of the two guardians.

 

As the Winged Dragon reached back at the temple, he dropped the girls on the ground, and there stood before them, was Marik and Jessica. The two guardians noticed a symbol on her forehead and her eyes looked different..

 

Nightshade and Hikari stood up and couldn't believe that what they were seeing before them. There once a friend, was now their enemy (but not for long).

 

Nightshade: Marik (she said in a angry low tone), what is the meaning of this!!

 

Hikari: And what have you done with our friend, Jessica?!!?

 

Marik: I made your friend into my personal mind control slave, isn't that right Jessica?

 

Her symbol began to glow and she said: Yes Marik, I am your personal slave.

 

Nightshade: Enough of this! Release her….or else

 

Marik smiled evilly at her and said: Or else what, you pathetic fool.

 

Nightshade: You will pay dearly you son of a bitch. (She said with a hiss and a glare)

 

Marik told his dragon to tie up Nightshade and Hikari on separate posts not far from each other. Nightshade was getting weaker and Hikari was thinking of a way to cut free, but can't since her hands are tied up.

 

 

Back at the group, Kisara was flying overhead, while everyone was riding their horses, hoping to get to Nightshade and Hikari in time.

 

Seto: How much further Kisara!?!

 

Kisara: 4 miles and we can make it!!!

 

Lita: Let's do it! Let's save Nightshade and Hikari!!!

 

Everyone picked up the pace on their horses, and Swiftwind, along with Hikari's horse picked up the pace, following everyone else.

 

Seto: `Hang on Nightshade. I'm coming for you; I just hope I get to you in time before Marik kills you'.

 

 

Back at the temple, Marik and Jessica were mixing the formula, stronger then the Moonflower Cure, to kill Nightshade. Hikari still had her blades around her waist on her belt, and she had found a way to cut the rope and free herself and Nightshade, but they were on watch from the Winged Dragon, and it's not going to be an easy escape.

 

Nightshade (To Seto): `Please hurry Seto, I can't hold on much longer. I am getting weaker by the minute. I hope you get here soon.'

 

Seto received her message and picked up the pace on Starwind, with everyone still following.

 

They finally reached the temple, and sent their horses to a relatively safe location (Swiftwind and Starwin will protect them.) They all begin to search for Nightshade and Hikari, looking in every single corner and area. They finally saw the wings from the Winged Dragon, so they quickly ran over there and saw Nightshade and Hikari tied up.

 

Marik and Jessica were walking outside with the poison that will kill Nightshade.

 

Jen used her strongest wind control to blow it out of Marik's hands.

 

Jessica: Master, they are here!

 

Flare, Tatsuki, Mako, Duke, Tristan, Bakura, Lita, Amara, and Rei went to go handle the Winged Dragon, while the rest went to go help out Hikari and Nightshade before it was too late. They already had scars on them for when Jessica took a whip out and slashed their bodies. They quickly untied Hikari but it was too late for Nightshade. Seto was on the ground hurt badly, and Marik walked over to Nightshade with the poison he picked up.

 

Nightshade: No (she said softly).

 

The others killed the Winged Dragon and rushed quickly over to see Nightshade about ready to die

 

Marik: Take a good look at your Precious Leader you pathetic fools, because you will never see her alive and breathing again!!!

 

And with that, he poured the poison down Nightshade's throat, and before she died she told everyone that she will miss them and told Seto `I love you Seto, take care of Swiftwind for me.'

 

And with that, she was gone. The Guardians were all in tears, and Jessica, even in mind control saw what happened, and began to cry. She broke out of the mind control and rushed over to Nightshade's fallen body.

 

Jessica: I'm so sorry Nightshade!! I should have listened to you!! This is my fault! I'M SORRY NIGHTSHADE!!!!!!

 

Everyone rushed over to Nightshade's fallen body, and couldn't believe what they had just seen. Their once leader and friend, was now gone.

 

Seto picked her up and placed her on Starwind. Swiftwind nudged Nightshade, trying to wake her up, but it was no use, and not even the Moonflower Cure can save her now.

 

Swiftwind: `No, My Lady, Nightshade…you can't leave us here like this. You can't!' He reared up with a loud neigh and so did the other horses. They were all sad in tears that Nightshade had fallen into the hands of evil and died right their in front of their very eyes.

 

Swiftwind: I will bring you back Nightshade….even if it's the last thing I do!'

 

 

They all got on their horses, including Jessica (shes back to normal now), to an Oasis, where they set up their camp and tried everything to bring Nightshade back again.

 

 

 

Next chapter, Seto and the others try everything they can to bring back Nightshade, even Swiftwind and Starwind. Starwind has a talk with Swiftwind, remembering that there could be something to help get her back, but Starwind is not sure. Will they ever get Nightshade back in time? And Will Swiftwind and Starwind remember what can cure the poison deep within Nightshade's body? Find out in chapter twelve.
