A/N: this is chapter one the first chapter in my story. The thing I just uploaded was just an intro.

Chapter 1: dreams...sort of

Darkness filled the air. The wind blew every few moments and leaves rustled in the trees. The moon was full and bright and gave off light to the town below it. Most people were sound asleep in their beds except for one person who lived in a mansion on the edge of town. He was wide awake and deep in thought working on yet another project of his that he wanted to prefect. However, that was one thing about Seto Kaiba; he spent time on something until it was perfect at least in his eyes. His little brother mokuba came into the room and approached his big brother slowly. "Seto you have been working so hard, you need to get some sleep. "he offered as he looked at his big brother knowing what his answer would be.

"Mokuba you know I have a lot of work to do. I have to attend high school and run a company, and after what the big five did, I don't have a reason to trust anyone." Seto started.

::Just the way I figured him to be:: Mokuba thought continuing to listen to his big brother talk.

"But you do make a good point. " He added thoughtfully. "I will head off to bed in a few, speaking of bed don't you think you should be in it yourself?"

"Well I wanted to check on you is all big brother I was worried about you and couldn't sleep." Mokuba replied giving his brother a big hug. Then the little one bounded off to his bed Seto keeping his promise to his brother retiring to his own shortly their after.

Seto did not have such a restful sleep though. His mind was instantly flooded with many dreams. Ones of a forgotten past. Or so it semed. Of chores Seto wouldn't learn this for a while now.

***************************Dream*****************

It was cold and dark the only color Seto could see was red. The image grew and formed the red Planet. Soon Seto found himself trapped in the fames of a fire that had appeared, and even thouh the flames licked at his skin, they did not touch him or burn him Instead the embraced him. In the middle of the planet a symbol appeared taking shape telling Seto he was looking at the planet mars. The light grew and expanded the died down. When it did a female appeared behind the symbol and now the symbol appeared to be on her forehead. Seto could not see her face, but he could see how tall she was and dimly see the outline and coloring of her dress. All of the sudden the flames seemed to move Seto and push him closer to the girl who was now calling out to him. "I am waiting for you, now is the time to come back to me." It kept saying.

"Who are you?!" Seto demeaned but his call seemed to land on deaf ears.

"Come back to me my love" the voice repeated.

Seto sighed seeing he was not going to get anywhere at the rate he was going. He needed a clue to what this was all about, but he wasn't getting much luck. The sceane soon changed once again. He saw himself with a new invention or rather a better working of something he had done before. It appeared that he was dueling, but he couldn't figure out why. He watched as he used a new card one he had not yet seen before in his ife or at this point he was preaty sure.

Seto woke with a start screaming like his life depended on it. He was covered in a thin sheet of sweat and shivers ran down his spine. He got out of bed walking into the bathroom washing the sweat off of his face. ::This is nuts, its Just a dream:: he kept telling himself in his mind not wanting anyone to know that this was bothering him much more then he wanted anyone to know. Seto Kaiba was a very private person and he didn't show much emotion, so he feared what would happen if this information got out that he was afraid of something.

Meanwhile a few miles away, the exact same night, in the city of Tyco Japan, a raven haired girl was having the same trouble sleeping. Her dreams were haunting her, and she too tossed and turned in her sleep.

***********In Her dreams******************

She found herself back home or so it seemed on her home planet of mars. Fire covered the ground and it looked like one huge battle site due to the debree that littered the ground and the burning wood and out of control fires. The sky shown foggy through the thick clouds of smoke from the ash and fire.. When the smoke cleared, She could see again. What she saw shocked her. A man it appeared to be, covered in blood and battle wounds lay face up on the ground lookinhg into the smoke filled skies. He looked very much out of it and was calling the name of what the girl guessed was his lover or long lost girlfriend. She strained her hearing as she ran to the fallen man. ::That's me?!:: she thought as she heard the name clearly.

"Rei please come back to me!!" the man cried.

The girl now known as Rei looked down and picked the man up in her arms or rather she tried to. But it was of no use, She couldn't seem to no matter how hard she tried. It seemed to her she wasn't holding anything and this dream was only letting her see images and not touch them.

"I am right here." Rei called out to the fallen nan who appeared to be losing his life rather quickly.

"Come back to me Rei!" the man cried out once again. It seemed that the person could not hear her either. Fire covered the body in red balls before the body vanished out of Rei's sight, then the world around her went black and se was now standing in a void of some kind. Her vision cleared and she saw herself standing in another city whearing some kind of large bracelet on her wrist, and she could tell this was used for dueling.

"What is this used for and what am I doing?" she asked aloud , but again no one ould hear her.

The seane went black again, and Rei awoke from her dream.

Rei awoke in a cold sweat breathing hard. That dream seemed very real, but she didn't understand what it ment. She got up and washed the sweat from her face before changing into her temple outfit. She quietly walked to the room which held the great fire to do some chanting not wishing to wake anyone else in the house. She got down on her knees and began chanting her eyes closed as if she had gone into a trance of some kind.

Within a few moments, the fire grew in size and images formed in it. Rei reopened her eyes, which grew in shock when the appeared. In the fire, she saw each of her friends, with a guy. Yet these guys she didn't remember from the silver area, however there was a lot none of them could recall still. Yet, for some odd reason, Rei couldn't shake this off. "Kayla isn't going to like this, but I think we need to have meeting ASAP." She said aloud before setting to the task at hand knowing calling her friend in the middle of the night was a big mistake and once all of this was solved, Rei knew she wouldn't regret what she was about to do.

Rei pulled out a small wrist watch device hitting a few keys on it. In a matter of seconds, four other devices in for different parts of the city blinked and started to make a shirll beeping noise that couldn't be ignored. One girl with brown hair arranged in a mess from the fact she was in the middle of a bad dream when the noise pulled her out of it., fell from her bed and reached for the source of the noise, being the first to answer. She sat herself up and opened the lid. "Huh what is it?" she replied in a half asleep type of voice.

"Sorry to have to do this to you sis, but we have a major problem, that I fear can't wait until morning. I just had a very strange dream, which led to an even stranger vision in the great fire." Rei replied.

"Well if yours was anything like what I just woke from, then I agree. " Kayla replied with a yawn as she shook sleep from her mind searching for something to put on.

"Well see you soon then sis." Rei replied, before having the same conversation with their friends. ::Kayla was the easy one:: she thought as she got off the device with Mina, the last of her friends.

An hour later everyone was gathered at the temple. The sun had not risen yet, and people weren't very happy about being up. Kayla to rei's surprise was the first of her four friends to arrive fallowed closely by Ami, then Lita. "So your not late for once." Rei joked with her friend.

"Well not this time, I really want to get to the bottom of this, I need my sleep." Kayla wined.

"For once I have to agree with you Kayla, How can I expect to stay on top of my studies if I am falling asleep in class." Ami complained causing Kayla to jump.

"OH Hi Ami, I didn't know you were behind me. And do you know what; you're to much of a book worm." Kayla retorted jokingly.

"Now is not the time guy. Must I remind you why you are all here?" Rei shouted to end the talking.

"I for one am glad to be anywhere but in bed asleep right now." Lita replied. "those dreams are just too freaky for words, plus I thought only Rei and Kayla could get such dreams." She added a little annoyed.

"Yeah Its more common since I get visions and for Kayla, to help her in battle, but maybe someone is trying to send us some kind of message." Rei remarked.

"What do you mean Rei?" Kayla asked.

"Think about it guys, first of all did you dream of someone dying then yourselves in some kind of terment?" Rei asked.

Four pairs of eyes looked at her in wide eyed shock. "Well I had Just done a fire reading after all of this had happened , and I saw us with five men, None of them appearing to be part of our past lives on our planets." Rei continued.

"But that doesn't make since. In my dream, I saw this guy die on Jupiter, He appeared to be one of us, yet he was just caught up in the war." Lita commented.

"Mine I think was the worst." Kayla said as she started to tear up.

"Want to tell us about it?" Rei asked placing a hand on her ffriend's shoulder.

Kayla nodded and began to tell her dream. "It was back on the moon, The war was already reaching the moon, and most of the moon was already gone. You four had reached it as our last line of defense…".

**************************************Flashback**************** *********

Four voices rang out calling out various attacks against the dark forces which were consuming the moon kingdom at an alarming rate. A man whom had won the moon princesses friendship and trust had also earned her love. He Raced to her knocking her out of harms way saving her from an explosion which leveled the palace in one shot.

"You will pay for taking my love from me foolish boy!" a man spat chasing the other down. This one had black hair and blue eyes and he wore some kind of old style armor, his weapon of choice a sword that was sharp enough to slice marble like a hot knife through butter. The man easily caught up with the younger gentleman.

"NO stop!" Kayla screamed, but her screams fell on deaf ears.

"Kayla is mine how dare you steel her from me!" the man screamed.

"She should be able to chose who she loves, and your getting upset over nothing.. You don't even know how she feels about me Dairain. We are just friends." The second replied.

"I can see it in her, and I can't seem to convince her otherwise." Dairain shouted back.

"I think you're a bit confused. Its her twin sister that likes you. The other replied, but it was too late. "MY Kayla I love you don't forget me." The weaker cried as his last words. The end was quick as he sword delivered the life ending blow.

"…And the last thing I could hear was that cry.. You see Darain wanted it all, even though I never had feelings for him. So he convinced my mother that the man I loved was a trader to our people, and offered to finish him off for her." Kayla finished tears flowing freely down her face.

Rei wrapped her arms around her friend pulling her into a hug. "its going to be alright, I think our drams and my vision are trying to tell us that we get to meet these people. The people that are supposed to be ones we cared about and lost once." Rei stated smiling.

"You think so??" Kayla asked her tears slowly stopping.

"I don't know, but I hope so. If so we should get a sign soon." Rei stated sighing as the sun rose over the temple.

"Thank god it's a day off" Ami stated.

Three people nodded in agreement, the previous night being such a tole on them. Suddenly a crash was heard as a blonde came into the room skidding on her heals from running so fast. "What did I miss?" She asked still panting from being out of breath.

The other people in the room all fell over anime style sporting large sweatdrops on their foreheads. "Well we will fill you in after a good long sleep." Kayla yawned. "I hope." She murmmered as she returned home.
