—Before I forget, I will have my newest fanfic ideas at the end of Chapter 7, so look out! xD
Chapter 6 - a Heart's Conflict
Yuugi reluctantly pulled away as Atemu grunted, wishing for more. Yuugi walked to the door and took several deep breaths to regain his composure. He opened the door and saw the one person he didn't really want to talk to at the moment.
“Hey Yuugi.” said Tea. She was still wearing her McDonald's uniform and name tag.
“Oh…hey Tea.” Yuugi said quietly.
Tea waved and Yuugi cringed when she said, “Hi Atemu. I see you got home all right.”
Atemu said something in response, but Yuugi didn't hear it. He turned and saw Atemu wandering back to his room. Yuugi sighed and invited Tea inside. How did she get my address? She must've seen it when Atemu was looking for it.
“I like your house, Yuugi. Not too small and not too big. It's a perfect bachelor pad, y'know?” Tea said, smiling. She saw Foxie and the cat rubbed against her legs. “Aw, she's so cute!”
“So…Tea, what brings you here?”
Tea leaned down to stroke Foxie's fur. “Good kitty.” She straightened and replied, “I hope you're not too busy. When I saw Atemu, I thought for one strange second that you'd gotten a tan or something. Anyways, I watched him copy down your address from the phonebook and…well…I came here as soon as I got off work.”
“Oh.”
“So…have you thought about it yet? Would you—y'know—like to start dating again?” Tea asked. “Oh and Felicity hasn't stopped talking about you. She thinks you're such a nice person. I've never seen her warm up to somebody so fast. She wants to see you again.”
“Maybe I can baby-sit her someday.” Yuugi muttered. He looked Tea in the eyes. “To be honest, I haven't had time to think about it, Tea. I mean…it's not that I was procrastinating or anything…it's just, work and all—”
Tea held up a hand. “Don't say another word. I'm sure you really are busy.” She fiddled with her purse as an excuse to hide her hurt expression.
“Tea, I promise I'll call you and let you know.”
“Why is it so hard for you to want to start dating again, Yuugi?!” Tea snapped her head up. She had tears forming in her eyes.
Yuugi looked away. “I…”
“Answer me! Look me in the eye and answer me!” she shouted as her voice shook.
“I don't know!” Yuugi shouted back. Foxie sought shelter from their quarrel in Atemu's room.
“Why?! If you don't love me anymore, then say so!” Tea snapped, harshly. Tears were running down her pale cheeks. Her face was twisted between sadness, hurt and anger.
Yuugi clenched his hands into fists. His shoulders were shaking now. He was angry, but he didn't understand why or who he was angry with. “There's just…there's a war going on in my heart, okay? I don't understand how I feel anymore.” Yuugi seemed to be calming down with every word. “I'm sorry Tea. I just…don't know anymore.”
Tea hung her head as she wept. “I see that hickey on your neck. There is someone else.”
“No. There's no one else. It was a mistake.” Now Yuugi was crying too. “I'm telling the truth, Tea.” He stood on his tiptoes and gave Tea a soft kiss on her trembling lips.
Atemu dug his fingers into Foxie's fur as he held her. The cat growled low in her throat and struggled from his grasp. Atemu slammed his door shut which startled both Tea and Yuugi.
“What's—?”
“He's having a bad day.” Yuugi said, wiping his eyes with his arm. “I have some ancient text to translate, Tea.” he lied.
Tea nodded and handed Yuugi a slip of paper. “There's my address. Visit me later, okay?”
“Okay.” Yuugi promised and watched her leave. He went to Atemu's door and raised his hand as if to knock, but decided against it. Hanging his head, Yuugi went to his own room.
What will I do? Atemu obviously doesn't like Tea. Does that mean he loves me? Yuugi clamped a hand over the love bite that Atemu had given him. Maybe he does. But then, do I love him…or Tea? Oh this is confusing. I've always loved Tea, but Atemu…he's so gorgeous and so…I can talk to him about anything and he listens. He makes a great confident. Tea's cute too and, gosh, I've known her since grade school.
Yuugi was awakened from his thoughts by his room door opening. Thinking it was Foxie, Yuugi said nothing and tried to make sense of his feelings. He was surprised when he felt the warmth of another body next to him.
Lips pressed against his ear and Yuugi blushed a deep crimson color. “Yuugi…” whispered Atemu, “…you're with me now.”
Yuugi felt strong arms encircle his waist and a hardening erection poking into his lower back. “Atemu…not right now.”
“Am I just a distraction for you? Just something to fill the time in-between your girlfriend and your work?”
“No.”
“Then what am I?”
“My…my roommate…” The warmth was gone and the arms released him. Yuugi sat up and saw a shirtless Atemu leaving the room. “Atemu!” The Pharaoh stopped and looked at Yuugi. “Please…I don't know what to do.”
“I take back what I said. I'd rather not know the outcome of this war inside your heart.” Atemu said coldly. He thought, I fear my side will not be the victor.
——————
Atemu didn't come to say goodbye to Yuugi as he left for Tea's. Yuugi knew that Atemu was upset and hurt. Yuugi felt his roommate's pain like an arrow to his chest. This war of his heart was going to be a nasty one.
Tea's house wasn't as shabby as Yuugi thought it would be. It was in the ritzy part of Domino. The house was two stories with a well-trimmed lawn and chain-linked fencing all around the perimeter. The house itself was made of bricks with an off-white roof and shiny wooden porch with a dark blue porch swing on the left.
On the lawn were all sorts of outdoor children's toys, especially a scooter and one of those pink Power Wheels cars. Yuugi parked nearby and walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.
In a few minutes, Tea answered, wearing her bathrobe. Yuugi turned red and said, “Sorry. I didn't know you were still getting ready.”
“It's okay, Yuugi. Come on in.” Tea replied, opening the door wider. “Felicity is staying at a friend's house tonight, so it's just the two of us.”
The inside of the house was nice too. Thick, red carpeting with off-white walls and the living room and kitchen connected together. The couch was made of shiny leather, but was covered by a soft blanket with little cartoon cows running over it.
“That's Felicity's blanket. She won't mind you sitting on it.” Tea said when she caught Yuugi looking at the blanket. “Her favorite animal is a cow.” She smiled and went upstairs, probably to change.
Yuugi sat down on the couch, feeling slightly awkward. How the hell could Tea afford to play for such a slightly expensive house? McDonald's surely didn't pay this well! But then Yuugi remembered that Felicity's father sent Tea a fat check all the time. Plus, Jean-Claude was the one who bought this house for Tea.
Suddenly, there was a crash from upstairs and Tea's scream echoed down to the living room. Immediately thinking that Tea had gotten hurt, Yuugi jumped up and ran up the stairs. He found which room she was in easily enough, since only one door was open and there was a pale light coming from it.
Yuugi skidded to a halt. It was a bedroom with a giant canopy bed with lustrous, red curtains and red bedsheets. Sitting on the bed was Tea. But she didn't look hurt. In fact, she looked just fine. She was wearing a white dress and smelt of lavender and roses. Yuugi blushed when he could plainly see her black lace thong and bra underneath her dress.
Tea stood and walked towards Yuugi, pulling him inside the room. She kissed him deeply and Yuugi didn't know how to react except to let her kiss him. He ran his hands up and down her sides, drowning in what he thought was passion. Tea moaned into their kiss and pulled away. She took his hands pressed them against her breasts.
“Yuugi…” she whispered. “You're the only one I want to be with.” She felt his grip tight a little on her chest and she suppressed a moan of pleasure. “Will you share this bed with me?”
Yuugi was in a daze. He didn't even realize he'd said, “Yes.” Tea helped him remove his shirt and teased his nipples with her fingers. Yuugi whimpered as she tugged him to the bed and laid him down. She undid the buttons on Yuugi's pants and slipped her hand inside to rub his hardening crotch.
Yuugi bucked his hips into her touch and moaned loudly. Tea removed her dress and lay on top of Yuugi, kissing him sweetly. Her core rubbed against him and Yuugi started breathing heavily. He couldn't think clearly anymore. He didn't know what to do. He tried to leave, but his mind was clouded and his body wouldn't obey. His manly instincts demanded sex.
Suddenly he moaned loudly again as Tea pulled his penis from his pants and started pumping it. Then, Yuugi shouted the one name he could think of…
“ATEMU!”
The spell was broken. The war inside his heart was over. Yuugi knew who he wanted more than anything else at this moment.
“Wh-What did you say?” Tea asked, staring down at him.
Yuugi rolled off the bed and redid his pants back up. He threw on his shirt. “Sorry Tea. It's not you, it's me.” That was all he said before he tore out of her house and practically jumped into his car, hitting his head in the process. Yuugi rubbed the spot where he'd hit his head before starting the engine and driving back home.
—Don't kill me! I'm sorry for the Tea/Yuugi fluffy moment. But every great fic has to have at least one bad moment. I'll make it up to you guys! The Atemu/Yuugi lemon is in the next Chapter, I promise.
