Beauty Contest Judge- Yugi?!

(Author's Notes: Sorry for the delay, folks. Exams are coming up, and I'm going to be out for a while to study. I am glad that a lot of people are enjoying and interacting with my stories.

Yugi: Yep! That's DJ for ya! He loves it when people interact with the story, and want to become part of it. He likes it a lot, as much as he likes to pair me up with other ladies.

Darien: On another note, FF.net removed his latest fanfic, "Monster Mayhem!". So, he has posted it here. Too bad only 2 reviews are on it. If its no trouble with any of you, can you go to the fanfic and read it? DJ will really appreciate it!

Chapter 5

The Shadow Realm was in pandemonium, much worse then in the human world. All over, female Duel Monsters have been raiding the shops all across the land, searching for dresses or gowns that would be fitting for them in the beauty pageant. Many various versions of Harpie Lady, Mystical Elf, Forgiving Maiden, Thunder Nyan Nyan, Dark Magician Girl, Gemini Elf, Fairy Injection Lily and many more just about went to every shop in the entire district!

Maria was with Mana, looking through some of the more trendy shops in the upper realm, really wanting to look their best for Yugi. They came across a shop called Beauty & Charms, so they entered it and took a look around. In there, they found many other female Duel Monsters looking for stuff as well. They saw a blonde Harpie Lady go through the swimsuit aisle, and a brunette Fairy Injection Lily sorting through some dresses the evening wear aisle.

"Man, things are going crazy!", Mana muttered to her friend as they both ducked under a chestnut-haired Dancing Elf who flew over them.

Maria replied, "Tell me about it. Of course, its all well worth it when someone like Yugi is involved.".

The two giggled, and continued onward. They decided to look into the swimsuit section first, wanting to finish the easiest part first. Mana went into the swimsuit area, while Maria went into the bikini area. Mana rummaged through some two-pieces and one-pieces for about 35 minutes, until she found one that was perfect for her. It was a blue one-piece swimsuit that was almost a mirror image of the battle gear she worn. It was just about the right size, a little small but otherwise perfect. The key differences was that there were no other attachments that were on her battle gear, and also the top showed an ample amount of cleavage.

"I'm sure Yugi would like it.", she said to herself as she tried it on in the dressing room.

She took it off, put her clothes back on, and out the outfit in the bag. When she returned, she heard Maria's voice through a nearby dressing room.

"Maria, is that you?", she asked. She didn't want to open the door, and see another person who wasn't her friend. It would have been too embarrassing.

"Yeah, its me! Mana, you got to see this!", she called back. The door was soon opened, and Mana just gasped in awe at what she saw.

Maria was wearing a two-piece bikini, dark blue and also very revealing. It shows a lot of her legs, and when she spins some to show her friend, it reveals a lot of skin in the back too! The top is adequate enough, but it just covered the essential bits and shows a ton of cleavage. Mana is just so shocked, she is rendered speechless.

Maria asks, "So, what you think?".

Mana had to shake her head to snap back to reality, and she answered, "Well… it is daring and bold, but I think Yugi would die from blood loss.".

Maria giggled, seeing the mental image in her head. She then closed the door, took off the bikini, got redressed, and opened the door again. She said, "Maybe, but I think it's perfect for this occasion! Besides, things like this only happen once in a lifetime! Might as well take it.".

Mana just smiled, shaking her head in a sad, friendly manner. The two went back out and left the swimsuit aisle. Seeing their first task complete, they headed over to the dressing aisle to pick up some more stuff.

~Meanwhile~

Melissa and Sandy were in a store called Magical Goods, and were on the same mission as Maria and Mana. Both were searching for swimsuits, and had come up with some very surprising results. Melissa chose a black one-piece with pale yellow stars on it, which fit her form rather nicely. Sandy chose a red two-piece, but not much revealing as Maria's.

"This is rather quite fun.", Melissa confessed as she sorted out through the eveningwear area.

Sandy chuckled and added, "Yes, it is enjoyable! I just hope Master Yugi likes what he sees.".

In about 27 minutes of searching and trying on, the two friends found what they were looking for. For Melissa, it was a light-green ballroom-like gown. It made her to be like Cinderella at the ball. Sandy found a red evening gown that was slightly transparent, and also very classy-looking. The price was also right for them; 125 gold coins.

"I think I'm ready to go to the counter now. How about you?", Sandy asked her friend, shopping bag in hand.

Melissa smiled and answered, "Of course. I'm finished too.".

Going to a nearby counter, they saw the long lines of other female Duel Monsters awaiting to purchase their items. Melissa sighed out, knowing it was going to be a long wait for the both of them.

~In another part of the kingdom~

Saria and a friend of her's, a violet haired Dumanis Witch named Dolly, were searching through a store called Ra's Store. It was obviously named after the Egyptian God monster, which was pretty amusing.

They had spent a large amount of time looking through various clothes and items. After an hour and a half of searching, they found what they were looking for. For the swimsuit wear, Saria chose a light golden one-piece that fit just perfect for her. It showed a great deal of her body, but she didn't mind. For the eveningwear, she chose something completely different. She chose a backless, ankle-length dress, entirely black with some silver glitter for effect.

'Well, its seems to be a perfect opportunity to try something bold and new.', she thought to herself.

Dolly chose a pale purple two-piece that really mirrored Maria's bikini! Although, the top covered up more and showed less cleavage. For the evening wear, she decided on a pale purple silk Chinese dress with two slits on both sides that showed off her legs. Indeed, she was thinking on the same lines as Saria.

"Well, we got what we need. Let us go back home and work on our talents.", Dolly said to her friend.

Saria agreed and after paying for the clothes, the total coming to 234 gold coins, they said their farewells to one another and headed home. It would seem most of the girls in the realm were going to do what they could to surprise and impress our small, tri-colored judge/hero!

~At the castle~

Yugi was swimming in a large pool with some of his Duel Monster friends, very much needing time off from the chaotic human world. He was now swimming with an Octoberser named Octavius and a de-spiked Misairuzame. Yugi was relaxing, enjoying the brief, quiet moment.

'Ahh! It feels so good to relax from the chaos in my world.', he told himself.

He got up from the pool, and when he looked across the castle gates, he saw a very sad, broken, poor girl near them. It was an Unhappy Maiden girl, and she very much looked the part.

Yugi was very much torn to see anyone in such a dismay. He told his friends he'd be right back, and headed towards the gates. The gatekeeper, the massive Gate Guardian monster, allowed Yugi to exit the castle grounds. The teenage boy, still a bit wet from the swim, slowly made his way to the sad girl.

The redheaded teenager was depressed, very much wishing to have a good life of her own. She sadly watched many others go by, without a care in the world. "I wish something good happened to me, for once.", she whispered to the gods.

It seemed her wish was answered, for when she looked up, she saw a smiling Yugi Moto looking at her. She gasped in surprised and backed away some, very much in awe to see someone as handsome and royal as him looking at her. She turned her head away, feeling unworthy to meet his gaze. She meekly spoke out, "Master Yugi…".

Yugi smiled warmly at her, extended his hand out, and asked, "Hello. What is your name?".

The girl answered quietly, still not looking at him, "My name is Keiko.".

Yugi kneeled down to her, and gently took her hand. Her head shot up in wonder, and that she when she saw the most beautiful violet orbs in the world. 'He feels… so soft and warm.', she thought as she felt his hand.

Yugi helped her up and gently suggested, "How about you come into the castle with me? You can have warm food, good clothes, and a place to stay.".

The suggestion just baffled her mind; Yugi Moto, a prince no less, asking her to come to the castle with her! It was like a dream for Keiko, and she dare not wake up.

She nodded meekly, her head still down. She didn't want Yugi to see the blush that was on her face, which was actually quite red. Yugi smiled, and with gentle effort, walked with her to the castle gates. The guardian was about to protest, when Yugi slightly glared at it and that made the monster not say a word. Going inside the castle, Yugi had some Duel Monsters assist him in making a lodging for Keiko.

(Author's Notes: Well, how was this? Sorry if this seemed short, but I'm on borrowed time at the moment. Also, I would like to extend thanks out to Lady D 10290, DemonandGoddess, and Erick-Genryusai! There suggestions on swimsuit and evening wear for the Duel Monsters were very helpful!

Yugi: I'm glad I was to help Keiko out. I hope she gets better soon.

Darien: With you helping her, she will. Now, for those of you out there, DJ has another request to make.

DJ: *On knees now* Please… SEND ME SOME FANART!!! I'M BEGGING HERE!!! PLEASE?!!

Yugi: *Sweatdrops* Eh… DJ is very anxious to see some fanart here, because he received some from a friend of his that was based on one of his fanfics. He liked it, and was hoping any of you out there would send some fanart based on this fanfic here.
