&nbs p;    "Shhh," Tristan ignored Joeys command as he continued to rain torture over his beloved's neck.

The sound of a squeaking floorboard finally caught Tristans attention.

"Shit, your dads home." he whispered.

"I tried to tell you to stop." Joey complained.

Tristan got off of Joey, searching frantically for his missing clothing. Joey threw on his uniform top, and threw Tristan his top. Joey threw open a textbook and a notebook, gesturing for Tristan to do the same. Tristan too opened a textbook and a notebook. The pair began writing down random things just as Joeys bedroom door opened.

         "Joey?" Joey stood up.

"Yes Sir?" he asked, trying to be on his best behavior.

"What is he doing here?" Joeys dad had never much liked Joeys friends.

"We were studying father." Joey proclaimed.

"Very good. At ease." Joey relaxed slightly, but made no effort to completely relax. "Dinner in this house is served at six. Is your little friend staying?"

"No Sir." Tristan spoke up from the floor. "I should actually be getting home."

"Fine. The door is at the front." Joeys father turned around and closed the door with a loud 'snap'.

Joey released a heavy sigh and sat on the bed. Tristan sat next to him.

"It's okay Joey. Don't worry, he doesn't know."

"I know. I just don't know how much longer I can do this." he shook his head.

"Don't say that." Tristan began picking up his books. "I'll see you tomorrow." Tristan kissed Joey quickly on the lips and showed himself to the door.

Joey walked into the kitchen, just as the front door closed. He went into the kitchen area and began preparing dinner.

~!@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#@!~

Seto Kaiba sat in his room, some goons that worked for him were finishing up his English paper, so he was being bored. Though, it appeared he were formulating a plan to beat Yugi at Duel Monsters. In actuality he was thinking about Joey Wheeler. He had first noticed Joey when he saw him in Study Hall playing Duel Monsters with Yugi. He had noticed him a second time the following day in the hallway. Now he had run into him again in the hall. It seemed that he was being plagued with the blonde.

He wasn't sure why he remembered the blonde out of all of Yugis other little friends, Joey just stood out. The girl was cute in her own way, but she was dating Yugi, so she obviously didn't have good taste.* The one with the earrings, he seemed to be a 'ladies man' and was of no importance to Kaiba. The tall goofy one, was simply that, tall and goofy; but the blonde. There was something about him that irked Kaiba. It made him want to know more about Joey. He found himself going home after school and thinking about Joey. He tried to shake the insane notions from his head, but the more he tried to forget the blonde, the more he thought about him.

He had even gone so far as to acknowledge his presence. Normally had a strange kid bumped him in the hallway he would have sneered and continued on his way. With Joey he actually spoke. Surely it was unpleasant, but it was verbal none the less.

I have to find some way to get that . . . nuisance out of my head!

"I won! I can't believe it! I won! Against the famous Yugi! I Won!" Joey nearly jumped up and down in the middle of study hall.

"Okay, okay, keep it down." Yugi tried to keep his friend quiet for the simple fact that people were beginning to stare.

"But I beat you!" Joey sat down but still had a dorky grin on his face.

"Um, actually, since you had to sacrifice five hundred life points for that move, you lost." Yugi tried to say this delicately, but there was no use.

"Damn!" Joey picked up his cards and began shuffling them. "It's a dumb game anyway." he said, rolling his eyes.

"That's the spirit tiger." Tristan pat him on the shoulder.

"I'd like to see you try and play against Yugi." Joey challenged.

"All right than I will." Tristan took Joeys cards from his hand and sat across from Yugi.

"Okay Tristan here we go." Yugi smiled, drawing five cards.

Tristan took five cards from his (Joeys) deck, and looked at them.

"I play Dark Magician Girl in defense mode, and I put this card face down." Yugi said, "I end my turn."

"Okay," Tristan picked up his draw card and looked at his hand. "So, now what do I do?"

Joey rolled his eyes, slapping his hand to his face. "Give me those." he pushed Tristan over and began dueling with Yugi.

In the end Yugi won again and the bell rang.

"So you want to come over to my house this weekend? Grandpa said I could have you guys over for an early birthday get together." Yugi announced as they walked to their next class.

         "Yeah, sure." Tristan smiled.

"I am in!" Tea latched her arm with Yugis.

"I'll be there." Duke chimed in.

"I'll try to get away to make an appearance." Joey said in a melancholy tone.

"I understand if you can't come Joey. But I hope you can." Yugi gave him a knowing look and then changed the subject. "To English." him and Tea skipped off ahead.

"I have class in the old building, I'll see you guys later." Duke said as he turned to go in the opposite direction.

         "I have health." Joey said.

"I know." Tristan nodded. "Want me to walk you there?"

"If you want. Won't be late will you?"

         "Nah."

The two walked in the direction Yugi and Tea had gone. Joey was watching where he was going today, and when he saw Kaiba coming down the hall he nearly killed Tristan trying to move over. Kaiba smirked and said with an air of pomposity, "Next time you should just not come to school. That'll keep you out of my way."

"I hate that guy!" Joey's clenched his fists and growled in the direction Kaiba had walked.

"Calm down Joey. Let it go." Tristan began guiding Joey to his classroom and upon arrival made an awkward good bye. Tristan then ran back to the old building, praying he made it to automotives in time.

& nbsp; "Tristan, we really shouldn't be doing this anymore. People can come in and we wouldn't even know it." Joey tried talking sense into Tristan, but Tristan was ignoring his requests.

"And where would you rather do it? Oh, I know, we can go to your Nazi fathers place. Or, hey, we can go to my house. Oh, but I'm not allowed to tell my parents Joey. Better yet, lets wait till we get to Yugis this weekend. Huh?" Tristan sighed, leaning against the tile of the bathroom stall.

"I know, it sucks. I'm sorry."

"Whatever Joey. I just don't know what to do anymore."

There was a small period of silence which was broken with Tristan speaking up, "Would it help if I was a girl?"

"You are not changing into a girl for me." Joey came back.

"I didn't mean it like that. I just mean, would you tell your dad then?"

"Probably not. My dad doesn't want to know about that kind of thing Tristan."

"Would you at least tell Yugi and the others?" Now Tristan sounded more hurt than ever. "Joey, you got to realize, they are our best friends. They don't care if we're gay; and they wont tell. You have to trust people." he shook his head, "I'll leave first."

Tristan opened the stall door and departed from the rest room. Joey let out a heavy sigh, banging his head a few times on the wall. He heard the sound of a flushing toilet and looked up instantly in shock. His breath came in short ragged pants and his hands began to clam up. What if they heard our conversation? Would they even know who we are? Would they tell? The thoughts flew through his mind as he frantically thought of ways to deny or explain what the person might have heard.

He heard the stall unlock and the person depart. It seemed whoever they were cared nothing about the conversation. Maybe they didn't hear anything at all. He debated staying in the stall until he heard the person leave. He stood in there for roughly ten minutes, but there were no more footsteps. Maybe I just didn't hear them. He opened the bathroom stall and stepped out to see none other than Seto Kaiba.

His head dropped and he began washing his hands, as though nothing was out of place. He dried them off on the cheap brown paper towels. He debated making small talk with Kaiba, but if he was trying to act normal, he definitely wouldn't talk to him.

"So," Kaiba had a smug look on his face, "The nuisance has a secret?"

Joey felt his heart drop into his stomach, as his stomach did summersaults. "Listen Kaiba, I'll do anything if you keep your mouth shut." The smug look on Kaibas face grew even more so and Joey wondered why he was in such a hurry to live up to the former statement.

         "Anything?" he asked.

         "Within reason." Joey clarified.

"Allow me time to think. I will get back to you Monday. Enjoy your last weekend as a free butch." he turned and walked away, "Or are you the bitch?" he laughed out loud as he took a right out of the boys bathroom.

Joey nearly collapsed to the ground as he took in his first full breath since he realized someone else was in the bathroom. He thought about telling Tristan, but then thought better of it. Tristan would cause some unwanted attention. It was best just to wait it out and see what kind of horrendous plot Kaiba was going to construe. Either way, the weekend was not going to be a fun waiting period.

Shit, I still have to ask my dad if I can go to Yugi's.

Joey fixed his backpack and head home for the afternoon.

At six thirty, as the dinner dishes were being cleared away, Joey got up the courage to ask his father for something. Rarely did Joey ever ask for anything, but it was his best friends Birthday.

"Father," he began timidly. The man grunted from his lazy-boy in the living room. "May I go to Yugis this weekend?"

"That creepy spiky haired kid?" his father asked.

"Yes Sir." he managed to surprises the growl that formed at his friend being referred to as 'that creepy spiky haired kid'.

"What is the purpose of your little excursion?" his father liked to use words that made him sound important.

"We have to study sir. As you know, I am doing poorly in math. Yugi is great at it, he said he would help me." If I explain its for a subject I suck at Dad will have to let me go.

"Why can't he come here? Is he too good to come here? Your little goofy friend did." Now Joey was getting really angry. Dissing his best friend Yugi was one thing, but dissing the object of his affection as well, that was a whole other can of worms.

"He would dad, but he has to baby sit his cousin." Joey lied. That was the second time in one night he had lied to his father.

"Fine. Which day?" Joey knew he was almost there. The problem now lay in the fact that it was an all weekend slumber party.

"Friday until Sunday afternoon Sir." he explained, his voice shaking.

"What? What kind of studying requires ya to go for the whole weekend?" he asked, almost looking away from the Television for a second.

"Yugi just thinks it would be better. We could cover a lot more material over a longer space of time Sir." Joey was trying really hard not to give up.

"If it gets you out of my hair." Joey sighed and smiled to himself.

"Thank you Sir." he began running to his room, happy to have gotten his wish.

"But don't think you're off the hook for getting another detention. And you got into a fight last week." Joey stopped in his tracks. "I'm going to have to teach you to behave when I'm not around."

"Yes Sir?" Joey called from the hallway.

         "Get in here."
