Broken Hearts3: Surprise!2004

; Yugi and Tea were busy putting out the last of the snacks. Yugi was prepared to have a great time. The only person who didn't clarify if they were coming or not was Joey. Him and Tea sat down on the sofa and began chatting about nothing particular.

The doorbell rang and Yugi ran to answer it. "Hey Tristan." He smiled as he ushered his friend in.

"Hey Yugi. Happy birthday." he handed Yugi a small wrapped package.

"Oh you didn't have to Tristan."

"I know. I know." Yugi put the present on the coffee table and started to sit down. The doorbell rang again and he ran off to answer it.

         "Hi Duke."

         "Hi."

Duke also handed Yugi a present, this one wrapped in green tissue paper. Mi arrived shortly after, followed by Bakura.

"I guess we are all here then." Yugi was slightly upset that Joey couldn't come, but he didn't let his other friends see that. "I rented a few movies, or we can play a game."

"Let's play Truth or Dare." Barkura gave a sly smile and his friends murmered agreements.

"Okay." Yugi motioned for everyone to sit in a circle on the livingroom floor.

"Yugi, by the way, where is your Grandpa?" Tristan asked.

"Oh, he went to Egypt for a week. He'll be back in time for my real birthday." Yugi announced.

         "Oh."

"So, who wants to go first?" Yugi asked.

"I will." Mi smiled and looked around the group. "Tristan. Truth, or Dare?"

         "I prefer, uh, dare?"

"Okay then," Mi linked her fingers and supported her chin on them. "I dare you, Tristan, to kiss Tea, for at least thirty seconds."

"I think we should leave peoples girlfriends out of this Mi." Tristan looked nervously to Tea and Yugi. Tea was blushing profuesly while Yugis expression was unreadable.

"Oh come on, it's all in good fun." there was an air of mischeif in her laugh.

"It's okay Tristan." Yugi said, smiling.

"Uh okay." Tristan crawled across the circle and next to Tea. Just think of Joey, just think of Joey. "May I?" he joked, though he blushed deeply and seemed very nervous.

Tea didn't respond, she simply blushed too. Tristan pressed his lips to Teas and Mi started counting.

Tristan didn't dare enhance the kiss, besides the fact that he would much rather be kissing Joey, his best friend - and Teas boyfriend - was sitting not two meters away.

"Okay, okay. I've seen more interesting kisses from squirrles." Mi laughed.

"Sorry Tea." Tristan sat back down in his original seat, scratching the back of his head in his usual embarassed manner.

The doorbell rang and Yugi excused himself to answer it. "Okay Bakura . . ." he heard Tristan in the background.

Yugi opened the door and smiled widely, "Joey!"

"Hey sorry I'm late Yug. Happy Birthday." Joey handed him a package, wrapped perfectly in 'Happy Birthday' print, with a red bow. "I had the lady at the mall wrap it." he explained with a laugh.

"Thank you. Come on in, we're playing Truth or Dare." Yugi allowed the guest to come in and closed the door behind him.

Joey looked around the group, as Bakura looked up from the carpet. He had apparently been licking it.

"Well, seems everything is normal." Joey laughed as he took a seat next to Tristan.

"Glad to see you made it." Tea said.

"Yeah." Tristan agreed. "Okay Bakura, your turn."

The game progressed, growing steadily more boring with each passing turn. Eventually the game came to a close.

"Okay, last one Tea, it's your turn to ask."

"Okay, Joey you haven't gone in a while. Truth or Dare?" Tea shifted to the right, waiting for Joeys response.

         "Uh, truth then."

"Okay." she thought for a minute, "Oh, something simple. Who do you like?"

         "Like?!" he gulped nervously.

"Yeah. Who are you attracted to?"

"Uh . . . I don't really know." he tried not to look at Tristan; but the more he tried to look away from Tristan, the more he looked at him. Tristan looked sad, as he kept his eyes focused on the floor. "Acutally, guys, I've been seeing someone for a few months and I guess now is a good a time as any to tell you." Tristan looked up, shock written on his face.

"Who?!" Tea seemed to be the most gossipy, but everyone else had a perk of interest aswell.

Joey swallowed nervously then spoke, "Tristan."

&nbs p;  Hhahahahaha I wanted to end it on a cliffy. So was it completely dumb to have the truth come out during T or D? I thought it was kind of cheesey, and at the same time not. hehe. See you in chapter 4!
