Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Broken Reality ❯ Realization ( Chapter 7 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Disclaimer: Yami and Yugi are not mine, but their unexpected love child...kidding, kidding...
Notes: Okay, okay. Just a few answers to questions/accusations/etc. First off, I know it wasn't happy, it wasn't supposed to be. And yes, Yugi did do it just to be considered grown up more than because he loves Yami. He wasn't ready, but yes, he does really love Yami. As far as it being like rape, I'm kind of glad it seemed that way, as it should. The situation is, Yugi needed to be an adult but was still too young to realize what exactly he had gotten himself into but he needed to go through with it both to please Yami and to prove to others that he could. I want to thank everyone who's taken the time to review and even more so that took the time to think about it and question. Thanks!
Broken Reality
Chapter 7: Regret
Yami pulled away to look into the eyes of his light. The boy was still crying. Yami was at a loss, having no idea of what could be wrong and knowing no way to make it better. He pulled Yugi off the floor. Gently he dressed the other, pulling the tight leather pants back over his thin hips, buckling the collar about his neck, and letting the vest hang over his shoulders. His light made no move to help as he buckled the boots back on and rearranged the Millennium Puzzle.
"What's wrong Yugi?" he asked, concerned at the reaction he was getting.
"I wanna go home Yami. Please, take me home."
He was sitting back on the bucket, his arms crossed over his stomach, shoulders drawn down, eyes still wet with tears. He felt sick and alone and empty.
"Alright Aibou."
~*~
The walk home had been silent and on arrival Yugi had promptly locked himself in the bathroom. That had been nearly two hours ago and now Yami sat on their bed, waiting. He didn't know where everything had gone wrong. Sure, he had been in somewhat of a rush...alright, a lot of a rush. But Yugi had been /ready/. After so many months of waiting and wishing and then after Joey had upset the boy so badly...
Wait.
Wait. Wait. Wait.
Yami brought a hand up over his eyes. How blind he had been! There were so many cues, the suddenness of it all. Yugi hadn't wanted Yami he had wanted to be...
"Shit!" Yami swore, bringing his hand down to hit the nightstand. It connected with enough force to cause him pain and with enough noise to draw Grandpa in from the hall.
"Language Yugi! Oh, Yami, its you. What's the matter?"
"Nothing. Everything," he sighed, letting his hands fall between his knees.
Grandpa laid a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sure it will get better. Want to talk about it?"
Yami laughed a bit sarcastically. He couldn't very well say what came to his mind. Yeah Grandpa, I fucked Yugi in a janitor's closet even though he was just using me to prove his manhood. He was sure that would go over /real/ well...
"Okay then, but I'm just down the hall."
That said, he left. Yami heard him knock on the bathroom door and ask Yugi if he was okay. He had a theory that Grandpa knew alot more than he let on for the sake of tact, this was nearly confirmed when the gray haired man had walked in one morning to see them sleeping comfortably against each other and only commented that breakfast was ready with little surprise. Still, having one person on his side did little to ally Yami's fears of what he had done to Yugi.
A soft knock brought his attention back to the door. There stood Yugi, a towel hanging off his hips, his hair still damp and a worried expression on his face. Walking into the room, he went to the closet. Yami kept his eyes averted as his light found clothes to sleep in.
Yugi slipped into his light fleece pajama's, then looking down in frustration ripped them back over his head and chose instead a pair of loose blue boxers. Settling himself on the bed, he laid his head in Yami's lap. The taller boy stroked his hair and neither of them spoke for what seemed like forever.
"We did it," Yugi said quietly.
Yami released the breath he hadn't known he'd been holding. "Aibou...why?"
"Why what Yami?"
"You know very well why. Answer me." He shifted, pulling Yugi up by the arms and pushing him away to kneel on the bed.
Yugi's eyes burned with strange anger.
"Why?! Why Yami?! Why don't you tell me!" There were more tears in his eyes. "Tell me why you talk to Joey and not me! Tell me why you closed our bond! Tell me why you treat me like a child!" He collapsed to the sheets, hiding his face and trying to muffle the cries.
"Yugi...please..." Yami touched his hand but it was jerked away.
"Go away!" His shoulders shook and his breath hitched.
"I'm not leaving you like this."
"Fine!" He sat up, his eyes red and marked, and slid from the bed. He turned to go, but Yami caught him around the waist and pulled him back against his chest. "Let go of me!"
"Calm down Yugi!"
"Let me go. Damnit Yami!" The struggle was fierce but short lived, amounting only to an elbow in Yami's stomach and nail marks on his hands. Not too soon Yugi went limp in his arms, weeping falling silent. Yami drew the boy into his lap, whispering soft nothings and wiping away the tears.
/Its okay Aibou. Please calm down, you worry me./
//Yami.//
/I just want you to be happy./
//Happy?//
/Yes. I hurt you, didn't I?/
//Yes.//
/I am sorry./
The rest of the night was quiet and soon Yugi slept a fitful sleep. Complications would have to be worked out in the light of day. Yami lay awake, staring at the innocent face of his love, so pure and quiet, marred now by an act they had committed. Said act, robbed of love and devotion felt as if he had violated the boy, had raped him...it hurt Yami's heart to think such things.

Yugi looked over his bowel of cereal, Yami's tired eyes stared back at him. Standing with stiff legs , Yugi grabbed his bag from the floor and went to leave.
"Aibou!"
Yami just couldn't leave him to face the day like that, he had to say something.
"Yes Yami?" The cheerful smile had returned over night, but just beneath the surface now lurked something so sad it motivated him to speak.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
And that made it better, to see the smile brighten a bit, the eyes to take back just a small portion of the light they needed. It would get better....it would.

"Hey Yuge!"
"Oh, hey Joey. Did you have a nice weekend?"
"Yeah the best. You know Cindy, the one with the," he made a crude gesture insinuating the girl's more than ample bosom.
Yugi nodded, but felt a blush creep onto his cheeks. Having seen where the conversation was going, Tristian walked over to interrupt.
"Don't tell him that Joey! Look, you're embarrassing him."
"No, its fine," Yugi made haste to protest, really not wanting to hear the story that was sure to follow but wanting even less to be left out. "I wanna know what you did."
Hands still balancing his imaginary breasts, Joey laughed. "Nah Yuge, I'll save it for later."
With a sharp motion, Yugi turned away to prop his elbows on his desk.
"Look Yugi, I just--"
He was interrupted as the teacher called for attention. He went about explaining complex math problems but Yugi's mind was elsewhere. He was bound and determined that the others should know exactly how grown up he was. He hadn't done all that work for nothing... He hadn't endured Yami for nothing, the other had been so rough, so harsh, so insensitive to his situation. He should tell, should at least claim a little reward for the trial. But as the idea of telling them came to mind, it made him feel dirty, as if he had betrayed something. He realized suddenly that he had.
Yugi was as much at fault as the other, probably more so. He had betrayed Yami by lying to him, using him, purposely deceiving him. Yugi's grip tightened on the pencil.
"Yugi. Yugi Motou!" the teacher's voice finally broke through the thick fog.
Pushing back his chair, he stood. "I'm not well, I need to see the nurse."
"Go on then."
As he stepped across the room, he felt thirty pairs of eyes watching him and prayed they couldn't see the stiffness in his step.
It was raining lightly outside as he took a seat on the stone steps of the school. Letting his head sink into his hands. His clothes became damp with the wetness, clinging to his form as he shivered from the cold. Before long the lunch bell rang and Joey, Tae, and Tristan were at his side. Tae held a large umbrella over their heads, fending off the rain.
"What's wrong Yuge?" Joey touched his shoulder only to feel Yugi jerk away from his touch.
"Don't touch me," he hissed, anger at himself leaping to be taken out on the others. "I'm sorry..." he whispered. He had so many things to be sorry for. So many.
"Do you want me to walk you home?" Tae volunteered.
"No, I'll be fine." He stood, keeping his eyes on the sidewalk. "Please tell the teacher that I'm sick."
"Are you sure you don't want us to go with you?"
"No! I can walk by myself Tae, I'm not a baby!" Shouldering past Tristian he started down the street leaving the others to stare after him.
"What's the matta with 'im?" Joey questioned.
No one knew the answer.
~*~
Unable to go home and face Yami, Yugi slowly made his way through the city streets. Finding himself in the deserted bark, he took a seat on one of the wet benches, watching with disgust as his feet dangled over the edge without touching the ground.
He wasn't mad, not really. Everything had just happened so fast and so wrong. A single evening had made a mockery of everything he and Yami had tried to build together and it was his own fault. How could his other half even stand to look at him after that? How...
/Aibou? What troubles you?/
//Yami, I don't want to talk.//
/Come home. Please./
//How can you even want to be near me? It would be better if I just--//
/Don't even think that!/
//Why not? Its not as if anyone would really care, I'm just a kid to them and to you...I don't know what I am to you.//
With a flash of light, Yami was beside him. Soft hands gripped his cold face, forcing his eyes to meet the piercing purple ones of his dark.
"To me Aibou, you are everything."

I'll try and do better...
