Chapter Two: Alonely

The ghostly figure of the original Kaiba heir flitted into a candle lit bathroom. He looked at the boy in the tub. "Seto, wake up." He called softly, translucent blue eyes glinting mischievously in the flickering lights.

Seto opened his own blue eyes to glare at the ghost. "Didn't anyone ever teach you to knock?" He growled.

Noa rolled his eyes, now used to the younger teen's attitude, after a week of dealing with it. He `knocked' on the counter, his hand going through and not making a sound. "May I come in, Seto-kun?" He asked in a honey-dripped voice.

Seto let out a growl. "Go away, you bastard."

"Tut-tut. No name calling." Noa reprimanded.

Seto's eyes narrowed even more, although it didn't look as if such a feat were possible. "I'm going to find a way to banish you, I swear."

Noa settled himself on the edge of the tub. "Mokuba's playing games instead of finishing his homework." He tattled matter-of-factly.

"Let him play." Seto shrugged.

"You don't care if he fails?" Noa looked confused.

Seto sighed. "He won't fail. He's a smart boy. Let him alone."

"Humph!" Noa crossed his arms and glared at the teen. "You're too damn easy on him! What happens when he has to run Kaiba Corp?!"

"He won't." Seto's tone was icy.

"Now you can see the future?" Noa looked throughly pissed. Seto's attitude was getting to him.

Seto paused for a moment. "No. I just don't want to force this burden on him."

"You may not have a choice!"

"Why do you care?" Seto inquired softly. Noa froze. "You were forced to learn these things by Gozaburo too. Do you really want Mokuba going through what we went through?"

Noa looked away, ghostly features saddened. "You're not Chichiue. It's not the same."

"I'm not forcing that on him. Drop it." Seto replied coolly.

"Seto, can I ask you a personal question?" Noa looked over at the teen in the tub.

"Just be warned that I probably won't answer it." Seto warned.

"Alright. I want to know who you ha-"

"Niisama! I'm going to bed!" Mokuba called, cutting Noa off.

"Is your homework done?" Seto called back, pulling himself from the tub.

"Nai...." Mokuba's voice was almost too soft to hear.

"Why not?" Seto grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his waist before walking in to the section with the sink, looking at the open door, where Mokuba stood.

"I'm tired, Niisama...." Mokuba whined.

Seto pursed his lips. "Let me see this work." Mokuba pulled out a piece of paper and handed it over. "This is all?" Seto inquired, looking the paper over and mentally solving the problems.

"Hai...."

Seto looked at his brother over the paper. "Do it now." He handed the paper back.

"Can you help me?" Mokuba pleaded.

"You know that stuff. You don't need my help." Seto reprimanded.

"But, Niisama...." Mokuba put on a severely tired look for his brother.

Seto sighed. "Sit at my desk. If you have any problems, I'll help you." Mokuba nodded and left the doorway.

"You're on a leash, dear Seto. Everything he wants, you give. It's pitiful." Noa commented, appearing next to the teen.

"Jealous?" Seto smirked and left the bathroom to get changed.

Noa glared after him. "Jealous? Of Mokuba?!" He asked incredulously. ~Yeah...~ His mind agreed with the CEO sadly.

Mokuba had fallen asleep at Seto's desk. Seto wrote in the last few answers on the paper in pencil, so Mokuba could rewrite it in his handwriting later, then put the paper away and carried Mokuba to his room. He settled Mokuba on his bed, then stood above the boy, watching him sleep. One hand reached out, to brush some hair from Mokuba's face, but drew back quickly after a brief contact, as if burned. Seto swallowed, turned, and stalked from the room, flipping off the light on his way out.

Noa appeared next to Mokuba, his ghostly features in deep shadow. If one had cared to look, they would have seen a great sadness evident within the blue orbs. He settled himself on the bed, overlapping Mokuba's body. Blue orbs closed softly as Noa opened his mind to Mokuba's unconsciousness. This was a trick he'd learned a while ago, that he could almost become one with a sleeping person.

He entered the boy's dreams.

The bathroom is shaped after an actual Japanese bathroom. In Japan, the toilet and tub/shower are separate. The sink is connected to the tub/shower, from what my Japanese sensei said. All very different from here in America. I drew a rough sketch of it in my notebook, so I could visualize Seto-chan's room better. I might make a better sketch on the computer later, but no one wants to see the shitty attempt I made in my notebook. *sweatdrop*

The title is, indeed, `Alonely'. The spell check doesn't like me too well, it keeps complaining about my playing around with random words. Anywhoo, the weird spelling will become more obvious by the end of the fic, or, well, it should.

REM, you owe me naked plushies.

Chapter 4 hasn't even been started, but that's because Nightmare has been making a comeback and taking away all my attention. Once Nightmare calms back down again, this fic will take the lead. It is short, fo me.

Well, I'll see everyone around!! Lol Ja!
