CONFUSED CONSIOUNCE

CHAPTER 1

He couldn't think straight. He was so confused. For months now he had emotions whirling rapidly around his head and for the life of him he couldn't understand them. Mokuba Kaiba was 15 years old and in the 10th grade at Domino High. He wasn't like most of the boys his age, he wasn't interested in girls, he didn't like rough sports like football and basketball, and he didn't have many friends. One could almost say that he was exactly like his older brother, Seto Kaiba, in all areas except attitude; but just like his brother, the girls would swoon all over him while the boys would sneer and stare, pissed off that he was the brother of the most rich and famous CEO in the world. Mokuba did however have one friend though, Jadyn, who had also just turned 15. Jadyn was around 5ft 4 inches and had platinum white hair that reached just above his shoulders, (like Marik's hair but the colour of Ryou's) and the most gorgeous turquoise coloured eyes. His skin was of a deep olive complexion, giving Jadyn an almost Mediterranean look. That was the problem there, Mokuba found himself becoming more and more attracted to his best friend.

It all started 3 months ago when Mokuba' and Jadyn's class went off on a field trip to the beach. The students were to pair off and go exploring for the marine life that were on their lists. The class had an assignment on sea creatures and were to study them in their natural habitat. After the group of students had ticked off the last creatures on their lists, the teacher had granted them the last hour of the field trip to go swimming in the sea. Naturally Mokuba and Jadyn went off on their own to a secluded little strip of water.

Watching Jadyn slowly remove his button up surf shirt, Mokuba couldn't help but look over his body; admiring he slightly chiselled chest and sculptured abbs; leaving Jadyn adorned in only his blue Hawaiian styled board-shorts (what I assume Americans call `swimming trunks')

The two swam for what seemed like hours, playing all sorts of games like `Marko-polo' and `tag.' Over that time Mokuba slowly forgot the strange feelings that he had felt when they had first gotten in the water. The hour was up and it was time to leave; so Mokuba and Jadyn pulled themselves out of the cooling water and headed up the sandy shore to where their towels were rested. Mokuba innocently looked up as the two were drying their bodies with their towels, to see 1 lone droplet of sea water as it rippled its way down Jadyn' chest, rolling over each muscle until it stopped at the rim of his board shorts and then soak into the fabric. Subconsciously Mokuba licked his bottom lip as he continued to survey his friends' body, lust forming in the pit of his stomach. Mokuba caught his minds actions, as he froze in his spot. He had never felt anything like he was feeling at that moment so therefore wasn't entirely sure of what the emotion was; and that's what had scared him the most. He had an idea of what his attraction to Jadyn meant but was so confused and lost he had no idea of what to do.

Which brought him to where he was now.

His mind was in turmoil and his eyes had dulled, the spark that was once there having faded from his minds confusion. Seto didn't know and Mokuba wasn't going to say a word to him, but since that day all those months ago, Mokuba had cried himself to sleep. At school when Jadyn would talk to him Mokuba would draw away and refused to look him in the eyes. He was so ashamed, overwhelmed with grief and worry. He knew how people of this day and age responded to homosexuals. People were so close-minded and cruel; shit even Mokuba was disgusted with himself and he wasn't sure if he even was gay. He defiantly knew that he didn't want to be though, or maybe that was only because he was so scared. For days on end Mokuba would try and convince himself that it was healthy for a young teen to question their sexuality, while at the same time trying to reassure himself that it wouldn't be that bad if it turned out that he were gay. After all Yugi was with Yami, Ryou with Bakura and Marik and Malik were together; but as soon as he was comforted by that thought, another would pop up and doubt his reasoning; like people like Yugi, Ryou and Marik were allowed to be with their darks because that was how it was meant to be, they were their other half. None of the boys were actually gay. They weren't attracted to males at all; come to think of it, they weren't attracted to females either; it was just that they were destined to be with their soul mates and only them.

What was he to do? Today Jadyn was to come over and work on that marine-life assignment. (They get a few months for assignments in my story lol) Mokuba had reluctantly accepted to work on his assignment with Jadyn at his house and the worst part was that they would be alone there. Seto wouldn't be home until late that night as he was working at Kaiba.Corp. He knew nothing was going to happen, but just the thought of being alone for half the night with someone that you were questioning your sexuality over for, was making him nervous.

Mokuba looked down at his watch nervously. *The time is 5:30pm so Jadyn should be here in about 15 minutes. Gods what am I going to do?*

Just as that thought registered, he was brought out of his musings by a light rap at the door. So reluctantly Mokuba made his way down the stairs and to the front door. Opening the door slowly, Mokuba came face to face with a pleasant looking Jadyn standing there with books in hand and smile on face.

"J-Jadyn! What are you doing here early? I thought that you weren't `spose to be here for another 15 minutes?" Mokuba questioned anxiously.

"Hay to you too Moke!" Jadyn started with friendly sarcasm in his voice. "I just thought that it would be cool to hang for a little bit before we finish up the rest of our assignment. We have almost finished it so it should be okay. It's just that you have been kinda distant lately and I thought that you just must have been preoccupied, but now I'm beginning to think its me. I mean if it wasn't then you would have talked to me about it by now. Is……is it me? I mean is there something that I did wrong, did I piss you of or something?" Jadyn asked a little worriedly.

"N..no you haven't done anything. I've just been a little preoccupied lately."

*It's not your fault Jadyn, but it is because of you! What the hell am I going to do?* "C-come on in then. Seto wont be home for a while so it's just us. Have you eaten dinner yet?"

"Yeah thanks bud." Jadyn replied, turning around to look at Mokuba as he stepped through the doorway. "Are you okay Moke? You look a little worried?" He paused a little suspiciously. "Am I making you uncomfortable? I did bloody do something didn't I? And don't give me any of that shit that I didn't because I have seen the way you have been acting around me lately!" Jadyn accused. "You're my best mate Mokuba, and I want to know what the hell is wrong with you….."

"REALLY! Its okay Jade. I'm fine, you can stop worrying I'm just a little confused about a few things is all." Mokuba cut in, not wanting his friend to worry let alone catch on to what was bothering him.

"Confused?… Mokuba you're a fucking genius, what the hell could you possibly be confused about?" Jadyn accused disbelievingly.

"YOU WOULDN'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND JADYN!" Mokuba yelled at his best friend uncharacteristically before he realised his mistake. "I'm sorry Jade. It's not….you haven't done anything wrong okay! Its just some personal stuff that's all. Don't worry about it I'll be fine." He finished, seeing the unbelieving look on Jade' face he added. "Honest, don't worry about it. Lets just get on with out assignment okay?" With that Mokuba led Jadyn to his room.

Seto Kaiba sat at his desk with an exasperated and bored expression on his face. He had already finished enough paper work for the next two weeks and didn't have any important meetings to attend that night.

"I may as well go home." He stated bluntly. "Mokuba will probably want to do something. That's if he isn't already doing something with Yugi and his pathetic friends." Seto continued with a scowl forming on his face at the mere thought of the happy-go-lucky gang.

With that Kaiba stalked down the many stories of the Kaiba.Corp. building and out to his waiting limo.

"So Moke, what do you want to get started on first?" Jadyn asked looking up from his exercise book, to see Mokuba just staring at him. "Mokuba?"

"Ha? Oh yeah, um wherever we left off I guess. It doesn't really matter." Mokuba finished, though he seemed in a world of his own.

*What the hell it wrong with him?* Jadyn thought as he waved his hands in front of Mokuba's face in the hopes of getting his attention. "Look Moke, seriously we can do this another time if you want. It doesn't look like we are going to get much done anyways. You're just too preoccupied. You know, I wish that you would just talk to me about whatever it is that has got you so freaked out. You know I am here for you right?" He stated with a serious look on his face. He put is hand on Mokuba's shoulder and squeezed it gently making Mokuba look him in the eye. "You DO know that right?" He repeated, showing the sincerity and concern he held for his friend through is eyes.

(Mokuba is sitting on his bed while Jadyn is standing with his hand on Mokuba's shoulder still.) Just as Jadyn finished is statement he lost his balance, still with his hand on Mokuba's shoulder he fell forward, leaning all his weight on the other boy who fell back wards, resulting in Jade lying fully on top of Mokuba.

Both just laid there speechless, eyes locked and all movement ceased. The silence was deafening that you could've heard a pin drop.

Slowly Mokuba lifted his head the few inches, still with his eyes locked with the others, as he pressed his lips lightly upon his best friends.

Jadyn gasped as he was brought back to reality, his surprise evident on his face. Suddenly he pulled back from Mokuba slightly, a questioning and confused look on his face.

"Mokuba?"

"I-I…I.I.I… I mean. Oh god, I'm so sorry!" Mokuba stuttered as he tried franticly to apologise. Jadyn didn't say a word; he just lay on top of Mokuba staring wide eyed at his best friend. Mokuba hung his head shamefully. What the hell had he just done?

Then it clicked; like a light bulb went off in his head. Of course, it all made sense now. The pulling away, the odd looks and nervousness. Mokuba was questioning his feelings for him. Why the hell hadn't he seen this before? Then a thought struck him. What did he think about this? How did he feel about Mokuba? Did Mokuba even know how he felt about this? So many thoughts were running through his head. He had never questioned his sexuality. In truth and had never even thought about it, so he hadn't just assumed that he was straight, but simply that he had never-thought-about-it.

"Mokuba?" Jadyn questioned again, this time wanting to know the whole story. He wanted answers. Mokuba knew this by the tone of his voice.

"Listen, I'm sorry okay Jade." Mokuba said in a detached and sorrow filled voice. He sounded like he was about to cry; but he never did. "I don't know what's going on with me. I'm so confused right now…….. how I feel……about…about ..you. I understand if you hate me or whatever……" Mokuba trailed off, not knowing what more to say.

"It's okay." Jade replied in a whisper as he lowered his head to capture Mokuba's lips in a soft but passionate kiss.

Mokuba's eyes widened in surprise but slowly closed as he relaxed into the kiss. He would ask questions later but right now he just wanted to taste and explore with the boy lying on top of him.

Slowly the kiss became hungrier, more desperate as their tongues battled for dominance, none becoming a clear victor. Mokuba weaved his hands under the back of Jadyn' shirt as he began to suckle on his lower lip while slowly kissing and licking his way down his jaw to his neck, eliciting a soft moan as he lightly bit down creating a small love-bite.

Kaiba tiredly made his way to his front door. The drive home was a slow one, taking around 20 minutes to get from Kaiba.Corp. to his mansion.

Pressing his finger to the key pad, he quickly typed in the entry code, stepping back as he heard a soft click, signalling that the door was now unlocked.

"MOKUBA?!" Seto called, indicating that he was home

"Mokuba, I'm home!" Seto called again; still he received no answer. He then made his way up the large marble stairs, heading towards his little brother's room.

"Mmmm." Mokuba squirmed pleasurably as Jadyn licked down his collarbone. Jadyn still lying on top, had his hands under Mokuba' shirt as he rubbed up and down the sides of his torso, bringing tiny goose bumps to the surface each time his touch brushed him.

Seto touched the handle of his brother's door and gently pushed it open.

"Mokuba I'm…….."

Haya people. Hahaha hope that was a cliff hanger. This is my first attempt at a yaoi and a yugioh one at that. I had this idea floating around my head for a little while so I thought `hay why not post it on the net' anyway the next chapter should be longer. I was kinda going for angsty romance type thing. If your not too sure of what's going on, Mokuba is depressed and questioning his sexuality while exploring how he feels with Jadyn (jay-den) So yeah anyways I hoped you liked it so please R&R that would be really great.
