I'm sorry this chapter is so short, and Lady Asia, last time I wrote that not everything is as it seems!

~ Faraway in Ancient Egypt ~

~ So… ~

"Guess what, Jou?" Mokuba had called up his friend.

"What is it, Mokuba?" Jou asked. He was sitting on Yugi's couch, having no other thing to do.

"Seto and Yami are together now! Jou?" Mokuba stared at the receiver. Jou had hung up.

Jou slammed the phone down onto its holder, the phone cracking. Damn you, Seto. I thought you loved me! But… Jou bit his lip. Maybe I was too harsh on you… I should have told you what happened, between Honda and me… The blonde stood. "I'm going to see him right now. And damn him if he doesn't listen… His eyes caught the shattered phone. "Oops," he whispered, "Yugi's gonna kill me…"

*****

Yami frowned, swatting at an imaginary fly. His hand, however, came in contact with something rather hard. "Ow!"

"My apologies, my Pharaoh!"

Yami groggily opened his eyes, squinting at the figure standing next to his bed. The pharaoh's eyes widened. "Shadi?!"

Shadi bowed. "Good morning, my Pharaoh."

Yami glanced wildly around, taking in the surroundings. Of course, he thought to himself, sighing. Yesterday's occurrences with Seto were just another dream… Again.

"I do not think so, my Pharaoh."

"Damn it, Shadi! Stay out of my head!"

"Are you always this loud every morning, Yami?" Seto stood in the doorway, smiling at Yami. "If you are, I should get ear plugs…"

Yami gaped at Seto, then turned to Shadi. "Isn't he supposed to be… um… gone?"

"Gone what?"

Shadi pushed Seto out the door. "I will explain everything later, Mr. Kaiba. Right now, I must speak with Pharaoh Yami."

Seto glared at Shadi. It was obvious he hated being bossed around by people, especially by someone who was wearing a turban. He bent down, kissing Yami on his forehead. "Make sure he doesn't do anything… Like send you off to the Shadow Realm."

"That was Bakura."

Five steps away from the room, everything began swaying. Seto clutched his head, groaning. "What… the…he-" He blacked out, vaguely aware that the book he had picked up was pulsing…

****

"Well, Shadi?" Yami was sitting cross-legged on the bed, watching another millennium item owner pace around the room.

"When I was informed of the discovery of the book, I hastened here. However," the Egyptian paused, looking at Yami. "How do you feel towards Seto, Pharaoh Yami?"

Yami's face flushed slightly. "You know, Shadi. And so does Seto."

"But are you willing to allow him to be with someone else?"

Yami sprung up, glaring at Shadi. "Are you saying," he glowered, "that Seto is going to?"

"It will be necessary."

"What?!"

****

Jou kicked the bed again, as if it would magically take him back. "I can't believe it! I'm stuck here again!"

Seto watched the blonde stomp up and down the room, fuming silently to himself. He withdrew the book, glaring at it. Jou snatched it out of his hands.

He pried the book open, and began to rip each page out. Or at least, he attempted to. The pages held fast to the book, refusing to be separated. "So," Jou said, turning to look at Seto. "You sure you tried destroying it?"

"Burning, exploding, tearing, damaging beyond repair… Yes, Jonouchi, I've tried everything." Seto patted the spot next to him on the bed. "Sit down and take a breather."

"What got into you?" Jou asked, settling down next to Seto. The smile on the CEO's face answered his question. "Who's the lucky guy?" he asked.

"Yami."

Jou gaped at Seto. Instead of smiling, he stood up, and punched Seto, hard.

"What was that for?"

Jou glowered at Seto. "I hate you."

"Wha-?"

"I thought you loved me! You said so! And I believed you! You're such an ass, Seto! That's why I was afraid! I trusted Honda once, and he raped me, then dumped me like I was nothing! And you did that too!"

"Wh-why didn't you tell me?"

Jou scuffed the ground, avoiding Seto's eyes. "Who wants a dirty mutt? Nbody."

Seto sighed, pulling Jou into a warm embrace. "I do."

Jou glared at him. "Now you're cheating on Yami!"

"Who said we were even lovers?"

(A/N: Ha! You all thought this was going to be a Seto/Yami fic! Well, it's not! Another one it though…)

"What?"

"Friends. Last night, he apologized to me about… everything…. And I forgave him. He's still a rival… in the dueling world."

Jou flushed. "Man… I'm sorry, Seto. I didn't mean too. It's just, I freaked when Mokuba told me…"

Seto arched his eyebrows. "Mokuba needs to close his ears sometimes…" A smile flickered across his features. "You freaked? Does that mean… That you possibly, might not hate me?"

Jou pulled Seto into a kiss. "What do you think? So, what do we do? Do you think the Yami over here can take us back?"

The brunette shrugged. "I don't know. We are back in ancient Egypt, you know."

A knock came at the door. "Seto?"

Pharaoh Yami entered, his eyes sweeping over Seto and Jou. "Excellent. I found you both!" He smiled, extending a hand for Seto. "You are needed at the meeting. It seems that the inferior tomb robber is at it again." He heaved a sigh.

Seto and Jou exchanged glances. `Bakura?' Jou mouthed at Seto.

Shrugging, Seto accepted Yami's hand, grinning at the Pharaoh.

"Bakura?"

He noticed the faint blush that stained the ruler's cheeks, as soon as Bakura's name was mentioned.

"Right then," Yami said, wrenching his hand out of Seto's, "let's go, shall we?"

*****

Bakura snickered as his feet pounded down the stairwell. The guards here weren't very fast. And Marik was somewhere in a neighboring country. He paused, pulling out his treasure. "The Book of Forlorn Hope," he said out loud, snorting. "Crappy name for a beautiful book…"

"Halt!" Bakura turned around, smirking at Yami.

"Oh, hello baka Pharaoh. How are you today?"

"Can it, thief," Yami retorted. "Now, hand the Book over, and I'll promise not to sentence you to immediate death."

Bakura was about to shoot a nasty comment to the Pharaoh about his hair, but he stopped when he saw another person approaching… A seventeen or eighteen year old with sandy-gold hair…

Yami saw his chance, and pounced on Bakura. "Hand-it-over!" he shouted, tugging on the book. "Give it!"

"NO!" Bakura shouted, pulling back with equal force. "It's mine! Finders keepers, losers, weepers!"

Jou exchanged a nervous glance with Seto. "They're a little childish, aren't they?"

"Thief!'

"Pharaoh!"

"Silver!"

"Tri-colored freak!"

"Pale demon!"

"Rich ass!"

Yami glared at Bakura. "I-am-so-not-that!"

"Prove it!"

Yami jerked the book out of Bakura's hands. "Loser."

Bakura growled, tackling Yami, knocking the book out of his hand, and onto the ground, where a gust of wind blew the book's pages to the very back...

Both Seto and Jou gaped as Bakura and Yami vanished. The book let out a satisfying burp.

"What just happened?!"

~ End Chapter Five~

Sorry if the chapters hinted Seto/Yami… I've been studying for a very hard LA test, and I supposed I got confused… I hope you aren't mad at me!
