Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Fraudulant Shadows ❯ Sip of the Envy ( Chapter 25 )

A/N: Ugh! I'm sooooo sorry! It took me forever on what to decide for this part, and worse yet, it's short! -sighs-

Okay, I have a question for you all. I have decided that Jeto should wined up with Patience…even though the whole `older brother rules with young brother as his husband' seems tempting. I just like the idea with panther and cat together. n.n' What should I do with or to Tet? I don't know! I need to end this story soon because I have another one that I want to type. I won't type it until this is completed! ;-; Oh, the torment.

Chapter 25

Sip of the Envy

“I'm sorry, Pegasus, but I had to bring him here,” Jeto explained. “I didn't want to take him to the hospital.” He knelt by his bed where the young man lied. “His injuries aren't that bad…are they?”

Pegasus stared at the black cat sympathetically and shook his head. “No, Jeto. They're not. He'll by fine after some rest. However, are you willing to risk where you've been hiding this whole time?”

Jeto smiled weakly. “He won't tell anyone. I can't trust him.”

“If you're sure then it's fine with me.” Pegasus smiled and patted Jeto on the head, receiving a soft purr.

Patience entered the room shortly after Pegasus had walked out. He glared at the human occupying his soon to be uke's bed. “Who is he anyways?”

“He's my half-brother Tet,” Jeto replied. “He's the one that rescued me from that white, lion chimera.”

“Rescued you?” Patience boasted. “It's more like you rescued him.”

Jeto blushed. “Yeah…that to.” He reached out and gently stroked his brother's hand. “It looks like he went through hell after I left. I wonder why.”

“Well, duh, Jeto. He saved your ass back at the arena!” Patience chided. “Why wouldn't he be through hell?”

“That's not what I meant,” Jeto hissed. “There was something wrong with him, like it wasn't him who saved me. It was someone else, a person who was just regaining his lost past.”

“Probably explains the bad vibes I'm getting from him.” The panther snorted. “I don't like him. Get rid of him!”

Jeto twitched as he abruptly stood up. “I can't…not in the state he's in. What bad vibes? He's my brother for crying out loud.”

“I don't care! To me he's a threat, and I want him away from my territory,” Patience growled. His ears flattened irritably as he approached the emotionless body and stared at the unconscious face. “Even when he's asleep he has this bad portent floating around him.”

Jeto jumped over the bed to stand between the panther and his half-brother. “When did this house become your territory? Last time I knew, it was your father's.”

Patience's ears perked, matching the amused expression on his face. “Who said I was talking about the house?” He grabbed Jeto's chin and pulled him forward until their lips met. He let out a purr as they broke apart. “I was talking about you!”

“Huh?” The cat staggered a few feet back, dazed from what just happened. “Me?” When he realized what Patience had implied his anger revealed itself. “I am not your property! Get out of my room and stay out!” He shoved the panther out the door and slammed it shut.

Patience stared at the brown, cold door with astonishment. “What just happened?”

Jeto wrinkled his nose in annoyance. “I hate it when he gets like this. What is it about me that drives him crazy?” He sighed as he sat on the floor cross-legged. “I might as well sit here and make sure he doesn't come in and try to get rid of my brother.”

“There's no need for that,” a husky voice clarified. “I'm awake now.”

The cat jumped slightly as he turned to face the culprit's voice. “Tet!” He approached his brother cautiously on his hands and knees. “I'm glad to see you're awake.”

Tet smiled. He couldn't help but be amused by Jeto's kitten like expression. “You've missed me, huh?”

Jeto nodded with a smile and crawled onto the bed to lie beside his brother. “Yes! Did you miss me?”

Great! What was the deal with Jeto's questions that Tet couldn't lie to them? No, he didn't miss his brother, he actually forgot about him, no thanks to Kaiba Corp's instructors. “Actually, Jeto, I completely forgot about you.”

Jeto flinched from the response. How could the only one that loved him more than a brother forget him? …oh. Does that mean everyone has forgotten about me?”

“That's not it, Jeto.” Tet shook his head as he pulled the cat closer to him. “No one stops talking about you. They miss you terribly. Even your dad, Joey.”

Jeto smiled warmly. “So it's just you?”

Tet nodded solemnly. “It wasn't intentional. Now, that I'm here with you in my arms; I realize how badly I've needed you ...to keep me sane.” His voice broke as he tried to hold back his tears. His body trembled as he held Jeto tighter against his chest. “I miss you now!”

“What's happened?” Jeto stared at his brother concerned.

“I've become heir to Kaiba Corp. and the damned corporation wanted a cold blooded bastard to take charge, so they trained me to become that.” Tet explained remorsefully. “Maybe I should run away, like you did.” He smirked. “I don't want to hurt the ones closest to me.” He nuzzled Jeto's chin and then planted butterfly kisses along his throat.

Jeto moaned to the contact and then fought out of his brother's arms. “No, stop!” He fell to the floor with a thud, startling Tet.

“Are you alright?” Tet asked as he observed the cat rubbing the back of his head.

Jeto nodded as he stood. “Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just going to go get you some food. I'll be right back.” He exited the room and quickly ran downstairs to find Duke in the kitchen cooking the family supper. “Hey, Duke,” he cheerfully greeted.

Duke stared at the cat and smiled. “Hey, is your brother alright?”

Jeto blinked. “How did you know he was my brother?”

Patience told us.” The raven-haired man chuckled as he started shredding the carrot into short strands.

“He just woke up actually. I came down here to get him some food.”

Duke pointed to a cupboard behind Jeto. “There's some soup up there if you want to serve him that.”

Jeto sighed. “Yeah, thanks.”

“So, you're finally awake. Why don't you leave now?”

Tet stared at the door that was slightly ajar. “Who's there?” He asked curtly.

The door started to open slowly, revealing a silver streaked teen leaning against the doorframe. “Get out!”

Tet glowered at the panther and then sneered. “I see. You think I'm threatening to take your kitten, don't you?”

“Yes, I do!” Patience growled and walked into the room, his tail swishing side to side with frustration. “You probably already know that I don't like you.”

Tet closed his eyes and cocked his head to the side slightly. “I had a suspicion, yes.” He opened his eyes again just to find the panther mere inches from his face. He shuttered violently when the feline's eyes flashed an eerie, bright green and the black slits narrowed profoundly.

“I'll kill you if you don't leave now!” Patience warned.

“I'm not scared of you,” Tet spoke impassively. “I have no fear of seeds like you.”

“Why's that?”

“I'm a chimera slayer. I could take you down easily!”

Patience reared away from the bed and hit the edge of the door, causing him to wince in pain. “How ironic is that? A chimera slayer who's a brother to a chimera! I knew there was something I didn't like about you.”

Tet smiled slyly. “That's right, now bow down to my feet, and beg for mercy like a good kitty. Better yet, why don't you suck me off?”

The panther snorted with disgust. “There's only one person who I would suck off, and it's definitely not you!”

“I thought I told you to stay out of my room, Patience.” Jeto frowned deeply and glared at the panther.

Patience grinned foolishly at the cat. “Uh...I just wanted to see what your brother was like.”

Jeto walked pass the other teen and set the tray down on his nightstand. “I don't want you in here until Tet is completely healed.” He pointed out the door. “Get out!”

The panther backed out of the room and noted the young man's furtive grin before the door closed in his face again. “Damn him!”

“You're not planning on telling anyone I'm here, are you?” Jeto asked anxiously. “I'm not ready to come home yet.”

Tet shook his head. “No, I won't tell anyone. Did you know that father had to have surgery not too long ago?”

Jeto gasped. “Is he alright? Why did he have to have surgery?”

“He had a lethal virus embedded into his body. Don't worry though; they got it out. He's safe.” Tet took a sip of his soup. Those words stung his tongue. The thought of his father going on to live drove him insane, but he would never tell the cat of his deepest desires that.

“That's good,” Jeto sighed as he sat on the floor. “That means I would have to return home.

Tet seemed to be ignoring the cat as he continued sipping his soup. It was abnormally good for just chicken noodle soup.

“You must like that a lot,” Jeto giggled.

Tet stared at Jeto with bewilderment from the corner of his eye. His cheeks bulged somewhat and a noodle hung out of his mouth. He slurped it up and then nodded. “Yesh! Itsh very goosh!”

Jeto fell back onto the floor and started laughing. “There's more where that came from.”
