His plans. His delicious fantasies. His dreams. They all amounted to nothing. Nothing at all. Shattered before his very eyes like a window. All because Seto was dead. Seto was gone, leaving him with a shadow. A shadow he had sent away. Pegasus might not be able to ever give himself peace, but at least he would make for damn sure that Seto got his revenge.

The ghost had known exactly where to go. Driven by revenge, it played brilliantly. Just like he knew Seto would have. Pegasus watched every move via the satellite feed. He wasn't going to miss this for the world. He would never miss his angel's big come back. Pegasus cursed. He had to keep doing that to himself. Seto was dead, not out on that field. That wasn't Seto. The boy playing was merely a shadow.

While the duel continued on its course to inevitable ends, his men had recaptured Mokuba. There was really no need for him to keep the boy, but he had made a bargain. The shadow board had gotten what they wanted. Seto was very much out of the way, and Mokuba would soon be their pawn. Meaning he had access to all of Kaiba Corporation's technology. His deal with the devil had played off financially. But the devil had collected something infinitely more valuable.

Pegasus refused to start crying again. It wasn't like Kaiba-boy was the only man in the world. That reasoning failed. He had been the only man Maximillion Pegasus had ever wanted. Now, all he had was a soulless reflection of the real thing and a hole in his heart.

His eyes were drawn to the screen. Shadow Seto had finally played a Blue-eye. That was it. The match was over. Without Exodia, there was no way to defend against that. He knew that the ghost would torture his victim a little, possibly hold out for another of those dragons. If all three got on the field, it would lead to an embarrassingly quick defeat indeed.

The corner of the screen flashed. It was a security warning. Someone was trying to hack into his system. Well, they could try. There was no way to beat his security. His computer security was second to none. The corner continued to flash red. “Security breech.”

Someone had done it. They were in his systems. Whoever had done this was a master. He had to put a stop to it. He called up his own computer. It if was a technological duel this punk hacker wanted, that's what he was going to get.

The hacker was running a search. The subject of the search intrigued him. The Dark Magician. Yugi's favorite card. Why would that hacker be looking for Yugi? The only one with a real beef for the boy had fallen out of a window to his death. Even if it had been Seto, there was no way to search like that. Pegasus had installed a virus that shut the searching computer down. Sure enough, the warning stopped flashing.

Then it started up again. “Re-booting isn't going to do you any good. Just give it up, punk.” Pegasus muttered. He was getting bored with this little game. He'd rather be watching the ghostly Seto destroy Yugi. He wondered if the shadow had put another dragon out or not. He looked at the screen. It was all fuzzy. Over the buzz, he heard, “We're experiencing technical difficulties.”

The phone rang. Pegasus cursed again. What the hell was going on? First the hot shot hacker, then his television. As soon was he picked up the phone, the voice on the other end was speaking. “Mr. Pegasus, it's terrible. The satellite suddenly changed courses. It came crashing down. Right on the Industrial Illusions main building.”

“It what?” He demanded. The hacker must have done something. He must have hijacked the satellite. This punk was good. Very good. He was also going to be very dead, as soon as he could put a trace on the search.

His eye wondered to the computer screen. “I'll call you back.” He stated angrily. Everything was breeched. There was nothing standing between the hacker and his goals. The punk had even figured out his password.

The television flickered back into life. Ghostly Seto was shocked. His single Blue-eyes was melting away. The scene flashed. “Virus detected.” This punk had downloaded a virus into the dragon on the field.

Pegasus suddenly stopped being angry. He was elated. There was only one person capable enough to trash his systems, only one reckless enough to drop a satellite onto a civilized populace, and only one man cold enough to slowly poison his own dragon. Pegasus was certain that the person behind this was none other than Seto Kaiba. Which meant the teen had managed to survive a fall that would have killed a normal man. His angel was alive and kicking.

He slowly smiled. He should have known Seto would have survived that. He should have never doubted that. Not for an instant. Because he knew that no one as stubborn as his Seto would die without taking the rest of the world with him.

An e-mail confirmed that his sorrows had been a waste. He laughed. Leave it to his Seto to be cocky enough to use visual. His smile got brighter as the boy's face appeared on the screen. He had one of those microphones that hooked around the ear on. He was lounging in a rolling chair, like what he had done was no work at all. His eyes were cold though. Harder and more angry than they had ever been. Seto was obviously very angry.

“Pegasus. I regret to inform you that the rumor of my death was greatly exaggerated.” The boy still scowled, oblivious to the fact that he had just made a joke. A morbid one, but a joke none the less. “This is fair warning. I'll be coming soon, to get back both my brother and my deck. If you wish to live, don't try to stop me.” Then the image blinked out.

If the message was supposed to be threatening, it didn't work. Pegasus was overjoyed. His angel would soon be in his grasp. That thought in mind, he had to start planning. This seemed to be all he did now. Plan. And there would be more before he got Kaiba-boy. Not that it mattered now, but it seemed that Shadow Seto had been defeated. He knew that meant Mokuba was back in the cage. One problem down.

Now he had to beef up security. He didn't want to make this too easy for his Seto. He also had to find some place to put the teen once he got him. No matter how rewarding it might be, Pegasus wasn't about to chain Kaiba-boy to his bed. That would wait until later. But in the beginning, the boy needed to be put somewhere. Pegasus had just the place. A small room with no windows and one doorway. It seemed both the Kaiba brothers had a thing for exiting out of windows. He could rig something with the door before his guest arrived.

Pegasus stood and got some wine. Taking the glass, he raised it in a toast. “Seto Kaiba, wherever you are. I solute your cunning, I admire your courage, and I await your visit. I await it most eagerly, my angel.”
