Maybe Pegasus shouldn't have been so eager. He barely had the time he anticipated on having. It was barely a week after the e-mail that conformation came. Seto was on his way. The teen wasn't even bothering with secrecy. He was heading straight towards the island. In a helicopter no less. His Seto was being reckless. Either that, or the teen didn't care that his enterance was so noticeable. It was almost like the boy wanted Pegasus to know he was coming.
In either case, Pegasus was going to be ready for him when he did land. The white haired man couldn't wait to see Seto again. He ran the message over and over again. The actual message was rather disturbing, but at least he got to see Kaiba-boy's face. Listen to that voice. Imagine that voice declaring undying love.
First, he had to catch the man of his dreams. His men were in position. All he needed to do was get into place himself. The big question was where to go. Pegasus could just wait in the dungeon. Sooner or later, Seto would make it there. Thing was, he didn't want to sit idly by. He wanted to see his angel as soon as possible. He wasn't patient enough to wait any longer. He figured he could follow the boy for a bit, and then rush to where he knew Seto's destination would be.
“Mr. Pegasus. The helicopter has landed. The target has already made contact with another duelist. He is heading towards the castle now.”
“Then go out and greet him. I will be there shortly.” Pegasus didn't want Seto to know he'd be watching. It would be better that way. The less like a trap this looked, the easier it would be. He did feel sorry for his loyal men. He knew he was putting them through quite a lot to get hold of this one man.
By the time the businessman arrived outside the dungeon, Seto had already gone into action. Somehow, the teen had not only made it into his castle, but he had one of the guards to personally guide him. Pegasus watched them slink through the hallways. His guard looked angry. Seto looked worse. No wonder this guard had helped. The boy looked like he was prepared to kill. Even his normal attire looked menacing. “Beautiful.” Pegasus whispered. “You're even more handsome than the last time I saw you, Kaiba-boy.”
Seto froze in his steps. Had he heard? The utterance had been to soft to be audible. Yet the teen still looked around, suspiciously. Shaking his head, Seto started forward, to slam into the back of the guard.
“You only beat me because you got the drop on me.” The guard growled. “What's to stop me from turning on you right...”
The man never got the chance to finish. Seto grabbed him by the collar. The boy was shorter than the guard by more than a head, but at that second he seemed taller. Seto pulled the guard very close to him. That made Pegasus jealous. Kaiba-boy's lithe body pressing up against that of the guard. That handsome face merely inches away. The jealously subsided when the boy spoke. He hadn't forgotten that voice. Low, sensual, and utterly cold. “And what's to stop me from killing you where we stand?”
The man began to shake. From his place in the shadows, Pegasus was shaking as well. He was almost as frightened as the guard was. There was no doubt in his mind that the teen wouldn't bring his threats to bare. His angel was out for blood. His blood. That look vanished into shock when the guard triggered the alarm.
“Let's see how well you can handle this, you punk. In a couple of seconds this whole place is going to be flooded with guards.”
Seto growled. His hands balled up into fists at his side. He knew he didn't have time to thrash the guard. He had to get Mokuba. He'd beat the man senseless later. He kept the look of frustration off his face. Then he was off and running.
Pegasus no longer needed to follow him. There was only one place for Seto to go now. He'd be there waiting for him. Turning, the businessman started to walk. It was good that he knew all the short cuts. That way, he would still be able to get there before Seto did.
He hadn't counted on the teen's speed. When he arrived, the boy was kneeling next to a cell. He was breathing a little hard, indicating he had run the entire way. Pegasus found he liked that out of breath look very much. ”Hey kiddo.” Seto greeted.
A voice from inside the cell answered back. “Seto! I knew you'd come for me.”
“That's right, squirt. I made a promise never to leave you. And I intend to keep it. Just hang on. I'll get you out.”
Pegasus couldn't hold back any longer. His Seto was just too alluring. Silently, he stepped from the shadows to place a gentle hand on the teen's shoulder. The boy stiffened immediately. In one smooth motion, Seto stood and turned.
“Pegasus!” He snarled. His eyes were completely blank. Devoid of anything. “I told you not to try and stop me. Had you listened, I might have let you live.”
“You won't kill me Kaiba-boy.” Pegasus breathed. Seto was much stronger than he had anticipated. Then again, the teen had manhandled his largest guard without braking a sweat. That awesome strength was brought to bare when Seto grabbed his hand and shoved it away. In the next move, he had Pegasus in the exact same positions the guard.
“And what can you do to stop me?”
Pegasus smiled a sad smile. He didn't want to harm his angel, but he couldn't have Seto treating him like this. There were other ways to stop the boy that didn't involve fighting. He knew that if he got into a physical fight with Seto, he would lose. But, Pegasus wasn't going to stop Seto physically.
The older man slowly moved his arms. He let them brush up the teen's sides. It was supposed to be a seductive gesture. If Seto had felt anything from it, he hid it well. The teen pushed Pegasus away from the cell. He might have to kill the man, but he wasn't about to do it in front of his brother. He felt the man's hands wondering. For a brief second, he enjoyed the lingering touch. Then that enjoyment was killed by memories all too painful to bare. Seto forced those memories down, and with them went the enjoyment of the touch.
Pegasus's hand moved to brush the hair away from his face. The gold of the Millennium Eye flashed. Seto fell unconscious. He slumped forward, straight into Pegasus's waiting arms. “I finally got you, Kaiba-boy. And when you wake up, you should be a lot more agreeable.” He whispered as he scooped Seto into his arms.
He turned to leave when a voice stopped him. “Leave me brother alone.” It was Mokuba. Pegasus had completely forgotten about the kid.
He turned to glair at the cell in annoyance. Then he looked down at the unconscious teen. Seto was so open like that. So vulnerable, draped over his arms. “Kaiba-boy can take care of himself. I'd be more worried about yourself if I were you. Just keep in mind, the only reason you are still alive is because he's your brother.”
“But why?” The younger Kaiba demanded. “Why are you doing this?”
Pegasus turned his back to the caged boy. “You wouldn't understand.” He muttered, clutching his precious cargo closer. He started away. Mokuba continued to yell at him as he left.
“”He's not going to give you anything, Pegasus. You won't get anything from my brother no matter what you do to him! There's nothing you can do to him that hasn't already been done, so just leave my brother alone.”
Pegasus shut the voice out and returned to the castle proper. But try as he might, the words the boy has said haunted him. What had the kid meant by that? What had his angel been through? Shifting the boy's weight, he started towards the special room. “Let's get you to your room, Kaiba-boy.” He murmured, brushing chestnut bangs away from his face. “We'll get you situated, and then we'll see about waking you up, love.”
