i lost my faith long ago. watching your entire life be destroyed before your eyes can do that to you.

humanity is a blight. once i was one of them, but now it is no longer possible.

i can put on a mask and prance about, but they see through my hollow imitation easily.

i have tried. many times, in earnest. in the end my mask always rejects me, and the others descend to obliterate me once more.

i am forever reborn from my ashes, like a dark phoenix. in one of my lives, i found someone similar to me, yet completely different.
