I Never Knew


The woman Yami saw earlier she was hanging, from… The Tree Of The Dead her wings were grey and lifeless, her hair was dull and flat, her head was slumped over like her neck was broken, the black dress she was wearing and tattered and ripped, but the sight that made Yami almost pass out, was the dagger trusted into her heart, and the dark red blood running down her arms, and legs, falling into the puddle below, Yami watched as the dark blood dripped off her fingers.

Yami couldn't bear to look any longer, he turned his head away and he saw a sword drove into the ground, it had a silver blade, with a gold handle, and the blade was covered in Egyptian writings.

Yami placed his hand on the handle of the sword, as soon as he did that the sword began to glow with an eerie, ghostly white light, and in those few seconds, Yami looked up that the woman, and watched as her wings snapped open, her wings stretched out to be about 100 feet each, the rope around her neck vanished, and all the colour and life came back into what was once a lifeless body, she slowly floated to the ground landing in the pool of her own blood.

"Yami, I knew you would come." She stood back to him, but he could tell that she was smiling.

"How?" Yami growled, he wished he were home with his aibou.

"You wish you were home, don't you?" She asked as turned to face him, the dagger was gone her dress was no longer tattered or ripped; it looked almost new.

"What's it to you?" Yami was angered at the fact she was not answering his questions.

//Yami, I can read your mind, soul and emotions. // Her smile turned to laughter.

"What!?" Yami jumped, 'No way that impossible only the Millennium Items have those kinds powers'

//That's where you're wrong Pharaoh, // Her laughter filled his head, //you don't remember do you? //

"Remember what?" Yami wanted her out of his head, but he wanted to know that she was talking about.

//You don't remember me! // Yami blinked in surprise, //I was your guardian angel, all pharaoh's were assigned one, I was assigned to you, I tried to protect you, you couldn't always see me but I was there, but then you sacrificed yourself, suicide, when an angel other sacrifices him or herself their angel becomes this // She opened her arms symbolizing herself.

"Your point?" Yami felt kinda bad for the angel.

//I was called the angel of light, Alexandria, but now, I am called Dark Angel. // She stopped laughing, // Go ahead Pharaoh, pull the sword out. //

//How do I know I can trust you? // Yami may have felt sorry but he wasn't stupid.

//Even though I am the Angel of Darkness, it is still my job to protect you. // She explained.

Yami didn't believe her, not even for a minute but reluctantly he again placed his had on the handle of the sword, but not before noticing the sennen eye on the top of the blade, he pulled the blade out of the ground, his whole body was consumed in a golden light, he felt unbelievable no unimaginable power run through is veins, when his Millennium Puzzle began to glow, Yugi was calling him.

Yugi's eyes shot open, as he leaped up from his bed, he grabbed the Millennium Puzzle and dropped it around his neck, 'That was the strangest dream I have ever had' "Yugioh!" Yugi yelled, trying to call upon his Yami, but to no avail, \\Yami! \\ The young teen literally screamed though their mental link, then he remembered his dream.

Yugi was standing alone in the darkness, all he could see what black, then that woman with the black angel wings, appeared in front of him, (he didn't know it was Alexandria) then Yami appeared, then the sword, then the Tree of the Dead, it look like old dead tree, but when Yugi looked closer he saw that the trunk looked like it was made of human faces, the branches shot out like arms but were all twisted, and mutilated, and disfigured, he saw the park, and then it all went black, blood, the walls, the floors, everything, started to bleed.

Yugi blinked back to reality, he ran down the steps stopped grabbed his coat, and ran out the door into the pouring rain, he had to find Yami, the small teen ran all the way to the park and in to the woods...

Yami loved this power he felt like the Pharaoh again, he had no need for the Millennium Puzzle, he took the Ancient Puzzle and tossed it into the mud he looked up at the angel and smiled as the transformation begun…
