Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Jaden's Summer Job ❯ Finding Jaden ( Chapter 2 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
As Chazz left the others at the booth, he wondered how he was going to explain all this. Jaden had no clue his friends has come to visit and Chazz was sure Sid would forget to mention it conveniently, so that left him to fix everything. It had been shocking when he had first found where Jaden lived. He had taken a taxi as far as he had enough pocket money to go and then had been forced to walk to the nearest phone booth twenty minutes away where he had started calling people. Sid had answered the phone, when he finally gave into his pride because he couldn't get in touch with Alexis or Atticus. He hadn't even gotten the chance to speak to the idiot before the idiot's hyper active, forgetful brother had zoomed around the curve and practically jumped out and threw him into the car.
He got an even bigger surprise when Jaden stumbled into the room through the window Sid had set him up in the next morning half-dressed and glossy eyed. Jaden had stared at him for a few moments before opening the loft door and screaming at his brother that he was hallucinating again. Sid had scrambled upstairs to calm Jaden down. Sid had forgotten about Chazz and had sheepishly told Jaden about him staying for the summer. It had been even more surprising when Jaden had calmly accepted him. Of course, after that the idiot and his crazy-ass brother had the odd habit of glomping him whenever he tried to walk down the hall and passed either of them.
After Sid had forced him and helped him to get a job waiting tables at a local pub, he had by accident found out Jaden and his brother's occupation. They were prostitutes. Sid went out every other night and Jaden only on the weekends. He had been shocked and had not known how to act around them for a couple of weeks. He had finally had a talk with Jaden about why. Jaden had told him that they kept the apartment building up and running and funded most of the bills so that the others living there wouldn't have to be put back on the streets. Jaden told him about how through theirs and a few others jobs they were able to buy the entire building and started and club in the basement for a little extra cash. He told how the club was taking the place of their prostitution job and they had been slowly decreasing the nights they walked the streets. He had been over whelmed by it all, but eventually he had come around. He always helped Sid out with an overly giddy Jaden the morning after, after their conversation. He had even started taking an extra shift when they would let him at the pub to help pay for things. He may be a bastard but he wasn't useless and he wasn't ever going to be. He pulled his weight around the place.
He found Jaden dancing with one of the regulars. When he caught a glance off Jaden's eyes, they were only slightly glazed. It was only the first night of the weekend last night, so Jaden wouldn't really be messed up till tomorrow. He caught Sid out of the corner of his eye dancing with his boyfriend of the week and turned his glare on full force. He dragged Jaden after him away from the protesting guy and off into a corner on the opposite side of the basement from their friends.
"Jaden!" He whispered harshly and slapped him a few times.
"Wha? Spazzy Chazzy?" Was the breathy come back along with a small laugh from Jaden.
"Your half-assed friends are here. Down here right now! Right across the room." He told Jaden. Jaden smiled and slung his arms around Chazz.
"This is great!!!" He laughed and began dragging a protesting Chazz back across the room. Chazz finally got him to stop about half way.
"This is not great you imbecile! You are drunk and barely clothed. They don't know about this Jaden. They just think you’re a naive dope from school. Not that you aren't, but mmmph.....gahhh....." Did he forget to mention that for some reason Jaden liked to kiss and grope him while he was drunk? Chazz was just lucky Sid didn't share this certain habit of his brothers, although he did get a kick out of it.
"Stop spazzing." Jaden pulled away from a slightly dazed Chazz and laughed at the pun. Chazz snapped out of it and growled back at Jaden.
"Just don't do anything stupid Jay." Chazz warned him and veered him towards the right direction. Jaden swayed a little before get his bearings and walking.
"Oh come on Chazzy! It'll be fine!" Chazz sighed as Jaden tripped himself on air and giggled while he said this.
Chazz would have been even more comfortable if Jaden hadn't tripped again when they reached their booth and presented Atticus with a lap full of scantily clad Jaden.
"Why hello there Atticus. I didn't see you there." Jaden said smiling brightly. Chazz could only sigh and put his head in his hands as Atticus smiled just as brightly and told Jaden it was just fine. God, he had three crazy-ass idiots to deal with this weekend. He shouldn't have let Jaden come over here. He should have made some lame excuse, which by the way he was pretty good at, and sent Jaden off somewhere. So much for that now, he regretted, as Jaden pulled him down to sit with the others and miscalculated and dragged him and Atticus down this time.
"Oopps...heh." Jaden laughed as they detangled themselves and Jaden sprawled out on the floor.
"Get up you idiot." Chazz pulled Jaden up and tried to steady him quickly so the others wouldn't ask questions, but Jaden must have been more drunk than he though or slightly high because he stumbled again and the others did ask questions.
"Are you...Are you drunk Jaden?" Bastion asked hesitantly. Jaden just smiled stupidly and Chazz managed to get them seated in the booth this time.
"The question is, are you drunk Bastion? Maybe you are and don't realize it and I only seem drunk because your drunk and I'm acting normally and you can't tell the difference because your drunk and I'm not. Your probably only imaging stuff cause your drunk and just don't realize it."
"Okay. That made so much sense." Alexis added. Zane had sat silently through the proceedings with his arms crossed and a broody look.
"Well duh. It's philsoping." Jayen told them with exaggerated arm movements.
"Just shut the hell up Jay." Chazz grumbled. Jaden proceeded to glomp onto him, screaming Chazzy Spazzy. Chazz hysterically tried to pry the boy off. He couldn't take Jaden glomping him in the tight leather pants that where way to low on his hips to be even remotely acceptable and the fishnet shirt that barely covered his chest and left his stomach bare. There was nowhere for him to put his hands to catch Jaden's weight without grabbing skin. He would really rather not have to explain the questions that would arise if he did so.
Chazz was really thankful when Sid's boyfriend came to help him and then pissed when the boy walked right passed him. Chazz finally just grabbed Jaden around the waist and forcefully tried to remove him without falling over. He finally got back over to the booth with their friends and shoved Jaden onto the booth next to him. He spotted Sid's boyfriend coming back over to him and was ready to cuss the guy out.
"Hey there. You want to dance?" The boy asked Zane. Zane looked outraged before growling at him and Alexis looked a little put off too.
"I though you were with Sid tonight?" Chazz demanded trying to get him to leave.
"Oh posh. You should know that Sid is never with anyone." He said flipping his hair at Chazz and then adding saucily, "Spazzy." He then turned to Atticus and asked him to dance. Atticus looked confused at the offered hand.
"He doesn't want to dance with your girly ass either." Chazz told him still reeling from the unfortunate nickname he had earned around the place.
"Just deal with your own boy toy Spazzy." The guy said before marching off. Chazz flipped him off behind his back.
"Umm... Guys, what was that all about?" Syrus asked shyly. He was crammed up against the wall in the both across from Bastion, Alexis, and Zane and next to Atticus, Chazz, and Jaden.
"He's a slut. Just ignore him." Chazz told him. Jaden was staring dreamily out at the people dancing. Well if you could call it that. There were several rises around the room and a couple was on one making out like there was no tomorrow while grinding to the music.
"This is slightly uncomfortable. I suggest going back to the loft." Bastion told the others. It was most definitely true. This was not the life style any of them where even remotely at ease with. They all came from what was considered respectable, tame house holds and societies.
"Yeah. That's the greatest thing you have ever said." Chazz added and quickly ushered them out only to turn and find he had lost Jaden sometime between the booth and the door and face faulted. Chazz told the others the idiot had gotten lost and he would be up in a minute.
He found Jaden dancing with the same guy from earlier and felt his blood boil at how raunchy they were getting. The man had dragged Jaden up onto one of the rises and practically had his hands down Jaden's pants. Chazz caught up with Sid, who looked pretty angry himself and they headed over to the couple. Once they reached them Sid dragged them both down and passed the stunned Jaden over to Chazz.
"Look who ever you are. You can look and dance, but if I ever catch you taking advantage of my brother again I'll kick your ass." Sid spat at him angrily and then continued, "We keep you off the street and feed so don't disrespect me or the laws I've laid down about my brother! Do you understand?"
"Yes, yes of course." The man answered quickly. Sid gave him one last shove and the man hurried away. He would most likely go and hide in his room the rest of the weekend. Sid could be pretty vicious when it came to his brother.
"My god" Sid sighed and he looked back over towards them.
"He's so out of it tonight. I know you've got friends here and he usually doesn't sleep on weekends, but he really needs to rest and make him drink lots of water and well... you know what to do." Sid told him and he nodded silently. Sid then put his hand on his shoulder, "Your an okay kid Spazzy. Now take care of my ittle bro for me cause I've gotta go to work." Sid told him and left quickly with a big grin on his face before Chazz could start yelling at him for the nickname.
Chazz slung Jaden's arm over his shoulder and started to haul him up the steps. He so wished the elevator worked when five minutes later they were only one the second floor and he was having to set Jaden down for a second.
"Why'd we stop?" Jaden asked.
"Cause I can't help you with you stumbling around so much. You've got to work with me on this, so I'm gonna get you up and your gonna try to walk up the stairs like a normal person." Chazz demanded pointing a finger at him. Jaden nodded and grabbed Chazz's arm and pulled himself up. Once he stood up, Jaden had a sudden bought of dizziness along with a pounding in his head from standing to fast. He whimpered and rests his head against Chazz's shoulder. It was awkward for Chazz because he was only the slightest bit taller than Jaden (so what? He had measured! Had to beat the idiot at something!)
"Oh man." Jaden mumbled as his headache reached a new level.
"Your not gonna be sick on me are you?" Chazz asked and tried to push Jaden away. There was no way he wanted to be covered in puke. Jaden mad a ‘no’ motion and winced again at the movement and grabbed Chazz's shirt tightly. Chazz was just a little bit worried. Jaden usually had slight hang -over the next morning or got bad headaches when he was coming down off a high.
"Lets just sit down a minute okay." Chazz said as he slid down the wall and let Jaden rest against him. He sighed and began to run his hands through Jaden's hair and wished he could find some way for Jaden and his brother to not have to live the way they did, but without any parents and trying to pay the bills they did whatever they could to scrounge up what was needed.
"Chazz? Do you think they will hate me if they find out?" Jaden asked quietly after a few minutes in a moment of lucidity. Jayen had started talking to him about stuff after a month or so of living together.
"They will be gone tomorrow. It won't really matter all that much then."
"They're my friends."
"If they can't accept you, then why care? It works perfectly well for me."
"Yeah, well your not the whore."
"Just don't Jay." Chazz sighed, "Lets give another go to making our way up those stairs." Jaden nodded and the got up and eventually made their way up the rest of the stairs. Jaden stopped him before he could open the loft door and pressed a quick kiss to his lips and rested their foreheads together.
"Just don't tell them, okay. They don't need to know." Jaden told him and all he could do was nod.
__________________________________________________________________ ____________
Of course, Jaden seeming sober was all apart of him being drunk as Chazz soon found out when he opened the loft door and Jaden tripped over the same invisible nick in the floor his brother always fell over. Maybe it was something to do with their family, could they not walk through doors without falling, or something? Jaden giggled for a minute before stumbling over to his bed and crashing ungracefully face first on to it.
"Is he gonna be alright?" Syrus asked as he rolled Jaden over so he wouldn't suffocate in the pillow.
"Yes. Just let him sleep for a couple of hours or so." Chazz remarked off handedly.
"What are we going to do all day?" Alexis asked.
"Do I look like a freakin entertainer to you? I usually spend my weekends being a lazy ass or picking up and extra shift. I think there are some cards and maybe a board game on the second shelf over there if you're bored." Chazz told them and stretched out on his bed to do exactly what he told them he liked to do, be lazy.
The others found some rather dusty games and cards. Alexis took one look at the cards with naked women on them and proclaimed they were to play the board game, which was a rather beat up Monopoly that had a lot of substitute pieces and it looked as if someone had made some copies of the money so there would be more. It was rather dull and Zane refused to participate, but Atticus seemed to be in heaven. Well, he pretty much had fun doing anything, anywhere, anytime, anyhow. You get the picture.
They were all just hanging around chatting, which was exactly about what Zane, Alexis, and Atticus did everyday, so the impromptu vacation wasn't really all that fun. Bastion and Syrus seemed to be enjoying themselves, though. Just being around their friends seemed to make up for the lack of anything to do.
"Urgh.... Chocolate.... Pretzels....yummm....mmmmm......kitties." And with that Jaden turned over with a goofy grin on his face. Everyone sent him strange looks even though he was asleep before having to stifle their laughter as to not wake him up.
"Some things never change." Syrus commented. He remembered all those times Jaden would wake himself up by shouting out something in his sleep that usually didn't make the least bit of sense.
"Evidently his style of clothes has. Did you notice that these people don't seem to like to wear a lot of clothes? I haven't seen Sid in more that boxers since we've been here." Alexis commented.
“Yeah, about that…” Chazz, who had been listening to their conversation instead of actually sleeping, began to explain, “We think he might have short term memory lose or something. He usually forgets to put on all his clothes or forgets that he invited people to stay for the weekend. Nobody but Jaden really knows if Sid does it on purpose or not.”
“So what’s it like? Living in a place like this with Jaden, your school rival?” Atticus asked in the perky way of a news interviewer. He had even jumped on Chazz’s bed and held his imaginary microphone out for Chazz to talk into. Chazz just gave him an incredulous look for a minute, and when Atticus didn’t back down, he gave an answer.
“It’s living. I work. I eat. I sleep. When I’m not doing any of the above I’m a lazy ass or doing chores around here when it’s my turn.” Chazz told him rather simply, “Jaden’s still a dumb ass most of the time and my school rival. I just happen to be staying at the same place as him.” Chazz shrugged his shoulders.
“Thank you for that message. This is Atticus with the nightly….”
“Do you ever shut up?” Zane demanded and proceeded to whack Atticus rather harshly across the back of the head effectively knocking him backwards off the bed to land in an up-side-down squashed lump on the floor.
“Nrgh…waffles…mmmmmm…” Jaden responded from the other bed.
“I am unfortunately surrounded by idiots.” Zane said sourly.

A/N : I fixed all the misspelled names and font color. Thanks for pointing that out. This chapter seems like a filler a little bit, but at least the Jaden/Chazz relationship developed a little bit.
I don’t set my standards very high at all. Two people reviewed the first chapter and I felt blessed enough to finish chapter two right away.

Next Chapter : Jaden awakes. Rest of last day of the gang’s get together party.
