As Seto walked in, he took his coat off and walked over to the couch in the living room. He let himself fall down onto it, all energy lost in him. He had to work overtime tonight and had school tomorrow. Seto looked at his watch and saw that it was....4 in the morning?! "But that can't be!" he thought. "I've never worked that late! Especially on school nights! Oh man...." Just thinking about his stupidity made him get up and go to the bathroom. He quietly got the knife out and placed it on his wrist, when heard a familiar voice speak behind him.
"Seto, what happened?" Seto slowly put the knife down and turned around to see Ishizu. "You look like you've been hit by a truck, Seto. What's wrong? And no, no, no!" She quickly walked up to him and took the knife away. "I'm putting this somewhere else. But where have you been?"
"Sorry, mom!" Seto exclaimed. He was not in the mood for this. Not now. "I was just out at work, is all! Sorry I didn't get permission!" He then walked upstairs to his bedrom and laid down. All he wanted was for sleep to take him away. But Ishizu apparently didn't want that. He watched her sit down beside him and closed his eyes. He felt her start to play with his hair, but didn't mind it at all.
"I'm sorry, Seto," she replied in a soft voice. "I didn't mean to be that way. I was just worried."
"Let me sleep," replied Seto coldly.
"Hmm, I see," Seto felt her body get off the bed, when he heard her gasp. "Wait a minute!" she exclaimed. "Don't you have school today?"
"Yeah," Seto lazily answered.
"Are you going?"
"Of course."
"Seto, I have a question for you." Seto slowly opened his eyes and looked at her. "When was the last time you had a good night's sleep?"
Seto let out a sigh and replied, "I don't remember. I always come home at about 2, and then I get up at 6:30 to go to school."
"What?! Seto, that's not good for you! Maybe that's why you're so stressed out." But, to Ishizu's surprise, she didn't receive an answer. Instead, she saw Seto doze off to sleep. She walked over to him and sat down. "Seto," she thought aloud. "You are definately skipping school today."
Seto woke up and looked at the digital clock on his dresser. "1:00, oh boy," he said lazily. And in that instant, it hit him. "1:00. As in...1:00...pm?" He immediately got out of bed and walked downstairs to see Ishizu reading something. He gasped as he saw the label. "Journal."
"What the hell are you doing?!" he cried out. Ishizu looked over at him with a horrified face. He stormed over to her and snatched his journal out of her hands. "Two questions! One: Why the hell are you reading this? Two: Why the hell was I not woken up this morning to go school!?"
"Seto...I..." Ishizu somehow couldn't find the words. She had never seen Seto so angry in his life.
"Ishizu! That's it! I've put up with your bullshit for far too long! It's been 2 days, and that's 2 days too long! I want you out of my house now! You're not my mother, and you're not helping my situation!"
"I'm not trying to act like your mother!" Ishizu exclaimed as she stood up to meet Seto. Unforunately, she only came up to Seto's shoulders. Still, she had to stand her ground. "I'm just trying to help you. I figured--"
"Yeah, well you figured wrong! I don't care! I just want you out of my sight!"
"No, Seto! I'm not leaving! Because if I do, you'll probably cut yourself to death! And I, for one, can't have that!"
"That's it!" Seto slammed the journal in front of Ishizu so that it landed on the floor. "You want to read this, fine! I don't care! Read it all you want! Take care of me like a mother would. And, just like a mother, you can cry your fucken heart out when you see me dead in the bathroom from a fucken overdose or too many fucken cuts!" And with that, he stormed out of the living room. Ishizu stood there until she heard the front door slam shut. She just stood there, until the tears finally started flowing down her face.
