Yugi glanced nervously at the clock hanging on the wall over the flight schedules. It was only a little before twelve. He had did as he promised and called them all up, informing them of the two's arrival and they all agreed cheerfully to come and meet them. Except for Bakura, until Ryou threatened to take away his `night fun' privileges, and Joey who was just grumbling over being waked up until Serenity whacked him on the head. They all waited, anxious to greet the two back. It had been a year after all since they left. And they were very anxious to hear about America; history books and lectures only told you so much.

Yugi was the most tense of all of them. Why he wasn't one hundred percent sure, but he knew a big portion of it being seeing Yami again, scanning for any obvious changes. A simple smile turned his legs into jelly. Another probably being seeing the two together, happy and in love. He just hoped his mask wouldn't falter and reveal how he really felt deep down.

"How long are we gonna have to stand here like a bunch of statues? I'm hungry." Joey complained, his stomach speaking up to support his compliant. Mai just sighed and hung onto his arm, while the rest either snorted or sweat dropped.

"Relax Joey it's only a little before twelve. They'll be here soon don't worry about it." Yugi replied. It was amazing how calm he sounded although he was driven insane with anticipation inside.

"Whatever you say Yug…" The blonde replied, pulling Mai closer. Serenity rolled his eyes at her big brother, bringing a smile to Tristen's face.

Yugi swallowed down the lump in his throat. Their meeting time was so close. The youth felt a thick cloud of tension hovering above his head, threatening to break loose its pounding drops. He wasn't sure if the others noticed or not, but if they did they said nothing. He just couldn't believe Yami, his secret love, and Seto, Yami's lover, would be here any second. Time can really be an ass sometimes…

Just then a familiar pair of walking figures appeared before them. Yami waved, calling out as he rushed over with Seto cooling strolling behind him. Yugi felt his heart quicken as he and the others rushed over to greet the couple.

"Yami! You're back!!" The small one cried as he approached closer before the Pharaohs arms gathered him in a friendly hug.

"Yugi, it's so good to see you! You still look the same as when I left." Yami quipped, squeezing him a little harder. He felt his hands rub firm circles on his back, sending shivers through the boys little frame. But he let it go as he was put back on the ground. Seto walked up to him, giving him a much more calm greeting,

"Hey Yugi, long time no see." He wrapped an arm around the boys' neck, pulling him to him so head rested on his waist. Since the two had hooked up Seto had become much nicer and more open to everyone, save for his occasional teasing of Joey. But all in all his coldness had pretty much dissolved. But Yugi felt a little odd in the embrace, why he wasn't sure. He released a small breath as Seto let him go to greet the others who had just finished hovering over Yami. Once he stepped back from the small crowd gathered around Seto, he got the chance to observe his darker half.

He hadn't really changed much; he still had the same tall, lean body, the ridges in his muscles sticking out prominently. He was a little more tanned, but it only made his ivory white smile even better. The yellow in his hair had darkened to a rich gold, but his crimson eyes were still the same, as they had always been, mysterious and full of enlightening emotions. The only real change was that he wasn't wearing his usual outfit of all leather. Instead he wore a pair of loose khaki shorts that hung down near his knees and a black T-shirt that said "IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS I WOULN'T BE WEARING THIS SHIRT" in flaming red-orange letters. Yugi bit his lip to keep himself from gawking as his curious purple orbs studied the details in Yami's frame, right down to the red laces in his black boots.

Just as Yugi was about to turn around to see what Joey was yelping about, his feet were instantly glued to the tiled floor as he noticed the look on Yami's face. His darker half was looking at him, right at him, with an expression that confused the youth beyond comprehension, not to mention send some chills through his body. His lips dressed a small smile, a teasing smile full of mastered cunning and taunting appreciation. A glimmer shot through his ruby red eyes; A glimmer that revealed all the experience and mischief that the Pharaoh possessed. He looked up and down starting from Yugi's head to his mentally glued down feet. He felt his breath stick in his throat, as Yami seemed to be studying him, very intently to add to that. Yugi gulped quietly and grabbed a fistful of will power to force back the trembling as the taller one ran his tongue slowly over his sensual lips.

Not knowing what to say or what expression to use, he simply spun on his now unfrozen feet to head to the small group. He discovered that Joey and Seto had gotten into one of their old day arguments and Seto, being Seto, had starting whipping at the challenging blonde with sharp quick karate chops. The hot headed youth had yelped at the force of the blows, and was now glaring at Seto, who simply smirked and rubbed Joey's head playfully with his fist, his arm firmly around his neck to keep the boy in place. Everyone had laughed when the teen started hollering, but were now starting to settle down; it was just like the old days before the two had left.

As they descended the crowded airport and let their feet guide them to the pizza place, the couple was bombarded with a million questions a minute about what America had been like and how they had been doing there. They didn't mind though; after all they were gone a year and had visited a place none of the others had been to before. They answered every question they could, their answers leaving the group in wonderment of the U.S. and apparently satisfying them quite well. Everyone's mouths were quite dry by the time they got there and gulped down half their sodas when they were brought to the table.

"Don't worry, refills are on me." Seto told everyone, who were pulling out spare change to pay for the extra refill. When Yugi started to protest, the CEO held up his hand, "Yugi please, I wouldn't be offering it if I couldn't afford it. And besides, think of it as a welcome back present." He smiled as Yugi gave in and let the lanky teen do as he wished.

The group had a fun day as they chowed down on pizza and breadsticks, gulping down two to three tall glasses of soda. In between bites Joey and Tristen were asking more questions about America, until Mai kicked Joey in shin for talking with his mouth full of food. He groaned and a vein popped in his head as the others laughed. Tristen snorted as he swallowed down his fill but decided to stop then as well.

Yugi was having a great time, talking and laughing. He had half expected to be filled with sadness at the sight of Yami and Seto together. But it just had been so long, and he was so happy to see the two again. Even when they started getting lovey-dovey in their seats Yugi just eat quietly and talked to whoever wasn't busy `getting close' or chewing on a big mouthful of food. Near the end of their meal he grew a bit uncomfortable though, for he saw Yami staring at him out of the corner of his eye with the same look he displayed at the airport. Unlike last time Yugi sent him a questioning glance; he would have used their mind link but he didn't feel like disturbing Yami's thoughts at the moment, and it was hard getting back to reality once he and Yami got into their mental conversations. Yami just winked at him, clinging to Seto's arm as he turned his face to say something to Bakura. Yugi felt shivers travel through his back but couldn't ponder on it for they were done and were ready to go. After paying the rather large bill they took off for a walk on the town, the girls departing a little later on to do some shopping while the guys went and did their own thing. One was being checking out Duel Monster cards and actual dueling.

(A/N: Ok people, I know this is probably going to be a little irritating for you, but I decided not to describe any more about their day out. It's really only them doing random things and Yugi getting the weird vibes and such from Yami. I don't really have any ideas for this and I'm not really apt for writing it right now. If I get enough requests to do this then I will most certainly do so. Until then, sorry but the gap remains here.)

The others departed near sun down with quiet good byes and swift gestures as they strolled off for home with their loved one in joint. They were all to some point exhausted and decided to call it a night as the sun was beginning to lower its self for the twelve hour rest. The last remaining were Yami, Yugi, Seto, and Mokuba after seeing Rebecca off with a hug and awkward peck on the cheek, earning him wolf whistles from Yami and Seto. Yugi smiled and just rolled his eyes, more at Yami and Seto then Mokuba.

"Well, I guess we'll call it a night then." Yami said, standing by Yugi now. Seto nodded, holding Mokuba to him since the young boy's eyes were beginning to droop, forcing his vision to slur.

"Expect a phone call from me tomorrow. I'm not giving you that big a break." The Pharaoh smirked, releasing a dramatic fake sigh, "Oh Ra, why me?"

Yugi laughed as Seto stuck his tongue out at him, "Put that back or you'll catch a fly."

The tall boy smiled, genuinely smiled that is, as he walked over to Yami to hug him and kiss him good night. "Until tomorrow, sweet dreams my Pharaoh." Bowing dramatically, causing the dark one to laugh, he set his sight on Yugi. "And good night to you too Yugi." The small one nodded, surprised as Seto bid him farewell with a tight hug. He felt his hot breath glide over his ear, and for a moment actually had a fleeting thought Seto was going to kiss him. But instead, to his heart's relief, he let go and took a hold of his little brother's hand, who was almost half asleep now.

"Oyasumi koibito, and Oyasumi little one." He now pivoted swiftly on his heels, carefully guiding his sleepy brother along as he headed for the limo parked at the corner.

The tri colored boys waved, watching the sleek white automobile drive down the street before walking home. The sun was three quarters of the way lowered, it's light casting a golden sheen over the relaxing town of Domino. A gentle breeze flew through the streets; it's light touch kissing Yugi's face. He sighed, the cool air felt good. The two walked along in bearable silence. Yugi started thinking about what had been demanding to ponder his thoughts ever since this afternoon.

Yami had been acting much different toward him then usual, and the tri colored youth didn't feel so at ease about it. He acted like he was showing romantic interest after all, and that couldn't be since he was still with Seto. But then why was he giving those strange looks? Yugi felt very uncomfortable at the moment now, his unanswered confusion getting the best of him.

As they were beginning to near the game shop, Yami could no longer stand the silence and while walking he turned to look at Yugi, whose face was full of deep thought and bewilderment. He felt the young one's emotions turning slightly.

"Are you ok Yugi?" He asked, grateful for the end of the quiet that settled around them.

Yugi looked at him, his innocent amethyst eyes full of confusion, "Yeah, I'm ok…Why do you ask?"

The Pharaoh shrugged, "It just felt like you had an inner battle going on inside your head." Yugi swallowed his nervousness; hiding everything from Yami was not going to be a simple piece of cake.

"No, nothing like that at all. I'm just a bit tired I suppose." The youth remarked. Yami nodded, although he didn't look all convinced, and they arrived at the Game Shop in silence.

Their evening went pretty well; Grandpa was glad to see Yami as well and the three had stayed up pretty late, talking non stop about what had been going on since the departure. There were no strange looks this time and Yugi thought as he headed up the stairs for bed that it was all in his head. Yami wouldn't do such a thing…would he?

After changing into his pajamas, a simple T-shirt and loose pants, and brushing his teeth he padded lazily to his bedroom door, just pushing it past the frame when a deep voice stopped him,

"Yugi." Ears perking up, he turned to see Yami standing there, arms over his chest and dressed in similar clothes like Yugi's, save for the fact his were more snug.

"Yeah?" He was beginning to feel fatigue and therefore bore no caution.

"I wanted to ask you something. Can you meet me at the Java Shop tomorrow, say around two? I want to talk to you about something." He asked.

The smaller boy's eyebrows quirked but he wasn't in any real mood for challenging requests. He did ask however, "What for?"

"You'll have to wait till tomorrow. You're obviously tired right now and need your sleep." Yami replied, smiling. He hugged the boy, squeezing him gently before giving his cheek a kiss, "Good night young one."

Returning the hug, he repeated the phrase before entering his room, leaning against his door for a moment listening to Yami's foot steps depart to his own room.

He knew now what he thought was only imagination was indeed reality. Yami's strange behavior towards him was real, and Yugi had no idea why. But then again, maybe tomorrow he would find out when Yami came to talk to him. He just wondered what it could be about. Yami wouldn't tell him anything it was concerning. What was going on? He hoped tomorrow would answer some of his confused questions. Yawning loudly, he trotted to his inviting bed and fell softly, pulling the blanket around him and settling in comfortably for the night
