Kind of a short chapter but nonetheless a good one! I hope you enjoy chapter 17!

"He's not getting any better Bakura! Do you think I want to do this!?" Malik yelled to Bakura.

"Its not right! We only erased Yami's memory because he was dangerous to Ryou!" Bakura protested.

"Right now Ryou is an endangerment to himself! This is what he needs Bakura its also what he wants, why cant you see the that?" Malik said

"If you erase his memory he will forget everything that has happened between us! He will even forget everything that has gone between you and him as well…do you want him to completely forget what we all have been through?" Bakura said

"No I don't…but I don't want him struggling anymore either, this is not something he can handle, and we can't help him with it." Malik said

"And what about everyone else? What about how I will feel afterward! He will want to be with Yami again he will not remember what he had done to him. Yami will remember though!" Bakura yelled

"…No…no he wont and no you wont either." Malik said "Its not like the past spell, this will remove everyone's memory except for the person that casts it which is myself…this way things can go back to normal and everyone will be happy again." Malik said

"What about you though? You will have to live knowing all this." Bakura said concerned.

"Its fine Bakura, I've lived with the memory of the Pharaoh carved upon my back…I can live with these memories too. Besides it'll be enough for me to know that Ryou is happy again even if he is with Yami." Malik said

"Speaking of which, what about Yugi? Joey? Everyone else?" Bakura asked

"Yes. They will remember nothing as well and do not plan to inform them of anything its better if you all just wake up as if from a long sleep." Malik said

"But we wont understand anything the time will be different the date." Bakura said

"I plan to replace the past few months with fake memories, so it will seem as if everything is normal. No confusion I promise." Malik said

"I still don't agree with you, there has to be some other way." Bakura said

"Don't you see how miserable everyone is? Ryou is basically dying and Yami wants to be dead, Seto is in a rage, you and I are not much better, Yugi he…"

Bakura cut him off "All right I see your point. That doesn't mean I agree with it though."

"You don't have to agree with it Bakura you don't even have to like it…just accept it and allow me to do what must be done." Malik said seriously.

"I accept it…" Bakura said staring into Malik's eyes. "Before I forget everything, I never hated you I just gave you hard time because of Ryou. And I'm sorry if I become the same bastard I always have been toward you."

"Apology accepted." Malik said "I'll cast the spell at my place, it'll be done in an hour or so." Malik said grabbing the book and leaving.

"It'll all be okay soon…it'll all be okay soon." Bakura repeated.

Malik went into is empty apartment sitting the book upon the table. If he was to replace their memory he would have to cast two spells. But then a thought came to him. He could replace their memory with anything he pleased and it would all seem normal to them and if they didn't like it they would just change it later anyway. Malik smiled to himself as he opened the book flipping through the pages quickly. He came upon the spell he cast upon Yami and next to it was a spell for erasing more than one persons memory, Malik smiled.

No tame ni watashi no tomodachi

Kara tsuioku kutsu

Malik sighed heavily and spoke how he wanted them to live and soon fell asleep prying that it had worked.
