Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Pillow Talk ❯ Akumu ( Chapter 7 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Okay, last time, we had a sexy-as-hell moment between our heroes. It would have been sexier if it had not been for Yami's prophecy and Tristan and Tea walking in on 'em a la Bikky and Carol from Fake.

DISCLAIMER: *Sigh* Do I really have to say it…? -_-;

RATED: Depending on what version you read the rating for this chapter has either gone down, or stayed the same (If you're not at Kyokou Geemu or MediaMiner, then you've probably only read the clean version.).

Chapter 7: Akumu

(Ah-koo-moo. Meaning: "Nightmare")

Saturday, 7:03 AM.

Yugi Mutou awoke in his bed, expecting to see the sweet face of his love. However, the bed next to him was empty. In fact, Tristan and Tea were nowhere to be found in the room, either. He gasped with fear. "W-where is everyone? Joey…?" While searching frantically for his friends and his boyfriend, he found two overnight bags that were still present. 'They left their stuff here… but Joey's isn't here! It isn't like him to leave us behind… But I wonder where Tea and Tristan are… Oh, God. What if…?' He hastily dressed himself, grabbed his Millennium Puzzle, and left the bedroom without an instant of hesitation.

"Joey…! Joey!" Yugi called as he wandered around the lobby. He glanced around the place as he had done moments before, but he still found the place to be empty. "Oh, Joey…! Where could you be?!" Feeling hopeless, Yugi shed tears, fearing that the worst has happened to the very person who promised to be there with him no matter what. But a faint and familiar sounding call from the hallway stirred him. It sounded like it was calling his name. "Joey! Is that you?!"

He heard the voice again. It seemed to confirm his question.

Yugi ran to follow the voice. He discovered that it only led him to a wall. "No, Joey! This isn't funny! I know you're here!" he sobbed "Joey! Come out!!!"

The small boy pounded his fist into the wall. Before he knew what to expect, it suddenly spun around, taking Yugi inside an eerie chamber.

Yugi swallowed a scream, afraid of what would happen if he made any sudden movements. 'Oh, no… Where am I…?' He walked slowly, trying to be as brave as he could.

"Yugi!"

The short male spun around in shock. A mixture of elation and horror quickly filled his body as he saw the taller, golden-haired love of his life being tied to a wall by his wrists and ankles. "Joey!" Yugi rushed over to Joey. "Oh, my God… Who did this to you?!" He struggled to undo the ropes.

"The owner, that bastard," Joey answered. "I woke up early, and went downstairs to pay, and he just grabbed me and took me here. The guy just tied me up, and took my bag and my cards and burned them. Then, he told me about his plan to rape men and kill them."

"What?!" Yugi shouted as he finished untying a knot.

"It's all right, babe. He hasn't done anything to me yet, you know. But-"

"Well, I'm just glad that you're safe, Jou-kun…" Yugi smiled up at him sweetly. "…but what happened to Tristan and Tea?"

"Do you really wanna know…?"

"Yes!" the spiky-haired teenager nodded expectantly as he successfully untied another rope.

Joey hesitated, then slowly pointed to two recognizable brown haired corpses--one male, one female--smeared with blood.

"OH, NO!!!" Yugi burst into tears at the pitiless sight.

"I know, it sucks," Joey said shakily, while trying to soothe his beloved with a free hand. "It kinda explains why I didn't see them in the morning. I… I'm really hurt too, cause of what he did to them. I just want to punch his ass so bad…! But if we get out of here fast, then what's-his-name might not even come after us, and we'll live a happy life together."

"B-but it's just not the same without them…!" The smallish male sobbed into Joey's shirt after undoing the final rope.

"I know, I know," Joey kissed Yugi's forehead in an attempt to calm him down. "But as long as we're together, darling…" An abrupt revelation struck him. "Oh, no! I know why Yoshi-what's-his-ass didn't kill you! He wanted to use you and your feelings for me as bait! He wants to kill you later!"

"Oh, Jou, what about you…?! He's gonna rape you first, and then kill you!"

"Never mind that." Joey pushed Yugi in front of him. "Just go! I think there's an exit over there." He pointed across from where the two were standing. "Don't worry about me--I just want you to be safe."

"No, you have to come with me if you're gonna make me leave!" Yugi grabbed his love's wrist and pulled him to that very exit--until they were stopped by a tall, oriental young man with sinister fire blazing in his dark brown eyes.

"Oh, damn it…!"

"It's not possible that you two will have a life together…" Yoshizuri reached for an object at his side. "…Much less a happy one."

"What in the hell is it with you and your sick hobbies?!" Joey screamed at the offender.

"You see," Yoshizuri gave a demonic lop-sided grin. "It's hard being the so-called nerd when growing up. I am intelligent, successful… and yet, I never had anyone to love. Not in spite of all that, but because of all that! So, what better to do than find a lover by force, hmm?"

"You're wrong!!!"

Joey gasped as Yugi proudly stepped forward.

"I've been picked on my whole life because I was small by my classmates--including him!" He threw an arm towards his true love. "But, we became friends later on. And if it weren't for you, we would've never become lovers! Because of all the things that happened this week, and the dreams I've had, I fell in love with Joey! And it's not my problem if you don't know what true love is! And, if you don't like it, well… till death do we part!"

Yoshizuri produced the gun from his side, and fired at Yugi's heart.

"NO!!! YUGI…!" Tears immediately flew from Joey's eyes as he watched his friend… his one true love fall to the floor, only finding time to close those cherished amethyst eyes before he passed on.

"If hypnosis won't shut you up, then maybe that will." As he leered at Joey's teary features, Yoshizuri cruelly shot Yugi's Millennium Puzzle. Surprisingly, each piece detached with ease. Many of them were lacerated, meaning that the item will never work again.

"…um, just to ask you, what if I… don't save him…?"

"Then… my item… is yours…. That way, I'll always be with you--even if you won't have a body to hold."

"M-my… My love…!" Joey sobbed, forcing himself to approach his dead sweetheart. He stopped when he met the head of the weapon.

"You sure you want to come closer?" Yoshizuri didn't fire, but his finger was still on the trigger. "These bullets are made of an alloy that is stronger than any ordinary lead. They can even destroy solid gold, as I have just demonstrated here." He reached a palm at the deceased Yugi, and his demolished puzzle. "But if you choose to be my slave, you choose to live, right…?"

"Y-you know, you heartless bastard…?" Joey courageously spoke. "I… I'm fine with that. I've been pretty good lately… So I think I can join Yugi in heaven… There are other people in my life who will miss me, but I think that they'd want me to be happy with my little boyfriend…" He sniffed. "So, fine. You can kill me. I know that thing can destroy gold… But it ain't gonna destroy our love!" He clenched his fists and shut his eyes tightly, awaiting his fate.

Yoshizuri decided those to be Joey's last words. He fired, forcing the brave soul out of Joey's body to join Yugi and Yami's own souls.

I know… That was sad… ;_; *sniffle*

BUT THE STORY IS NOT OVER, YET!!! Dry your eyes, and don't go away, for there will be another chapter coming soon! That's right! The final one!

Please also take note that nobody was killed due to character bashing. So, if Bandit Keith was in this story, and Baka-man shot him… Yeah, that would be character bashing. >3 Oh, and speaking of Yoshi-what's-his-ass, if you don't like him and want to kill him he's right over there. *Points to bad guy in the corner*

Baka-man: O__O;;; *Runs from pissed-off reviewers*

Ah, yes. Reviews from Ch. 6… Thank you yugi427, cool, Magician, and DanzingInDoubtz from Kyokou Geemu, and thank you Baka Kid, Dagger 5, Kawaii Dragoness, and Molly-chan the Anime/Game fan (long name, ain't it? O.O) from FanFiction.net. If you're new, no flames please!
