Ch.14: One Stop to the Next

 

After a few sharp turns and an unexpected halt, the truck stopped in front of the museum.

 

“This the place?” Alysia said to Moukaba, who is sort of shooken up from the crazy drive.

 

“Y-yeah.” He responded as he calmed down.

 

“Get a hold of yourself. Damn, my driving isn't that bad!” She said as she opened her door and went over to the back.

 

`There must be a God if he sent her down here.' He thought as he flushed a little.

 

~Meanwhile, at the back of the truck~

“Are we dead yet?” Malik said as he rubbed his head.

 

“No. We're still alive.” Ryou said as he massaged the back of his neck.

 

“Where are we?” Kia said as she untangles herself of the blankets.

 

With that said, the door opened.

 

“First stop, Domino Museum.” Alysia said, looking at everyone as they recovered from the crazy ride.

 

Malik got up, with Marik on his back, and walked out of the truck. He stopped to look at Alysia. “Thanks, but next time, will it kill you to drive a bit slower?” He asked.

 

“Maybe.” She said as they were getting soaked from the rain.

 

“Maybe we could do some sparring sometime when the weather clears, to see who's the best ass-kicking fighter.” Malik said with a smile.

 

“Sounds fun.” Alysia said. “I can't wait to see your face when you get you ass kicked by me.” She gave out a playful smirk.

 

“As if that's gonna happen!” Malik said with a bit of laughter and walked up to the museum.

 

After he went inside, Alysia looked over at the other passengers.

 

“You guys alright?” She asked.

 

“Yes.” The three out of six said.

 

“Good.” She said as she closed the door and went back over to the driver's side, where she quickly set up and prepared to drive. She noticed that Moukaba was staring at her and it kind of bothered her. “What are you staring at?”

 

Moukaba snapped out of his sudden trance. “I-I was w-wondering, if you don't mind, after we drop everyone off. I would like to show you around Domino.” He said as he waited for her response.

 

“Why would you show me around a pizza joint?” Alysia responded.

 

“Huh?” He said. “I meant the city.”

 

“Oh, sorry, I thought you meant Domino's Pizza.” Alysia said. “We have a few joints like that in America.”

 

“You live in America?” He said, with some astonishment in his voice.

 

Alysia nodded. “So where am I going next?” She asked.

 

“Take this left, right here.” He said as he pointed out.

 

“So, which is it? Left or right?” She said.

 

“YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!” He called.

 

“I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! DAMN! CAN'T YOU TAKE A JOKE!” She said as they fell silent for a few minutes.

 

“Sorry.” Moukaba said as he turned his attention towards the window.

 

“It's alright.” She said calmly, then she smiled. “But you really need to lighten up.”

 

Moukaba looked at her as she smiled at him, which made him flush a little.

 

“So, where to from here?” Alysia asked, looking at the road again.

 

“Just turn right and we'll be at Ryou's apartment building.” He said as she turned to the direction he pointed out.

 

They stopped in front of an apartment building and Alysia went out, followed by Moukaba, and opened the truck.

 

“Next stop, Ryou's apartment building.” She said cheerfully. `I got to stop being so damn cheerful.' She thought as Ryou, with Bakura on his back, got out of the truck.

 

“Thank-you Alysia.” Ryou said.

 

“Anytime.” She replied.

 

After saying good-bye to everyone, Ryou entered through the doors and was out of site. Alysia and Moukaba turned to see Yugi and Kia, who are holding their look-alikes with care.

 

“How are you two holdn' up?” Alysia asked.

 

“We're doing fine.” Yugi said as he looked down at the Pharaoh, who is sleeping soundly on Yugi's lap. (A/N: You got to think that this is a cute picture of the two.)

 

“Do you know what time it is?” Kia asked. “My watch is broken.”

 

Moukaba looked at his watch. “It's 1:55.”

 

“Thanks.” Kia said as she pulled another sheet on top of Kayra, who was also sleeping on her lap.

 

“We'll, we better be going.” Alysia said as she closed the door.

 

She and Moukaba quickly got back in their seats.

 

“Kia's and Yugi's place aren't that far from here.” He informed.

 

“Alright.” She said. “ Just point the way and I'll deal with the rest.” She started up the truck and went off.

After they dropped both Kia and Yugi, with their look-alikes, they drove over to the Kaiba mansion.

 

“DAMN MOUKABA!” Alysia exclaimed after seeing how huge the place was from the inside. “Tell me you're kidding about living here!”

 

“You hungry?” Moukaba asked.

 

Before Alysia could say anything, her stomach started to rumble. “Umm…”

 

“That's alright.” Moukaba said. “We got a variety of stuff, we could even get you that pizza you were talking about.” He laughed when he saw the annoyed look on her face.

 

Alysia then smiled and shrugged it off and followed Moukaba to the kitchen.
