Ch.28: Random Day

 

“I'll have a pineapple pizza with black olives, please.” Kia said to the waiter.

 

“You got messed up taste buds.” Malik said as the waiter walked away.

 

“Not my fault. I was born with it.” She said as she sipped her root beer.

 

“Whatever.” He said as he leaned towards Marik, who snaked his arm around his waist.

 

“Hey, what's up you two?” Kayra said as she looked over at Yugi and Atemu, who were silently sipping their sodas. “You haven't spoken a word all day.”

 

“It's 12:18, Kay.” Bakura said not really in the mood to talk to anyone either.

 

“Still.” Kayra said but gave up, knowing she can't win this conversation without starting a riot.

 

Marik was slowly putting his hand in the others pants, when he felt a kick from underneath the table. “Ow! Who did that?!” He demanded.

 

“Don't even think about it Marik.” Bakura said. “Oh, before you say anything… Get a room, if you're going to do that.”

 

Marik glared and admit defeat. `Ra damnit!'

 

Then their food came in and it became quite for the rest of the meal. Until Kia broke the silence.

 

“Yugi isn't your birthday coming up soon?”

 

Everyone looked over at Yugi, who was finishing up his soda. He nodded as Kia brought out a small, light blue booklet with chibi angle wings on the cover and scanned the pages.

 

“Wow.” Kia said with a smile. “We'll be on the ship the day before your birthday.”

 

Yugi shrugged. “And your point is?” He said with a bit of amusement.

 

“So it's like an early birthday present.” She pointed out.

 

~At the mall~

“It's a bit more controlled since the last time we came here.” Ryou said as the others agreed.

 

“Hey, isn't that Tristan and Duke over at the arcade?” Kia said as she pointed out.

 

“They have a bright idea, for once.” Malik said.

 

“How about we play a few games before we go?” Yugi said.

 

Everyone agreed to that idea and went inside. Once inside the darken room filled with games of all different sorts.

 

Atemu looked left and right, seeing all the other players, and figuring out the rules of the games.

 

“Oh boy.” Kayra said as she looked over at him, shaking her head.

 

“What is it?” Yugi said as he looked over as well, but thought of it as cute.

 

“Whenever Atemu sees a game, he becomes a whole different person.” Kayra said as Atemu walked over.

 

“Want to play a few games Atemu?” Yugi said before the other could speak.

 

Atemu nodded and Yugi quickly grabbed his hand as they went over to a game called `DDR MAX'

 

They watched the others players, so that Atemu could understand how the game is played. When those players were done, Yugi hopped on to one side of the pad while Atemu got on the other. When the game started, the rest of the group went over and watched. Not long after they started to play, they have a huge crowd, cheering for them, but they paid no mind about it.

 

When they cleared the last song, they took a breather as they waited for the score. Yugi had an `AA' while Atemu had an `AAA', the highest score anyone could get.

 

“You did great Atemu.” Yugi said.

 

“You did as well Aibou.” Atemu said as they both got off the pad.

 

“I think we should go now.” Kia said as she looked at her pocket watch, which read 1:38.

 

“Alright.” Yugi said as they walked out of the mall.

“See you guys tomorrow.” Kia said as she and Kayra headed towards the park.

 

“Later.” Malik said as he and Marik walked towards the museum.

 

“See you at school Yugi.” Ryou said as he and Bakura walked over to the apartment buildings.

 

“See you guys around.” Yugi said as he and Atemu continued to walk around the city.

Sorry it was a bit short. In later chapters, I'm going to write a story that has to deal with a party. So I ask you to come up with ideas for the outfits for Atemu, Bakura, Marik, Kayra, and Alysia. I have some ideas of my own, but I want to see what you have in mind. R&R everyone, please.
